CNN poll: Most oppose mosque near Ground Zero

A proposed mosque to be built two blocks from the World Trade Center has little support nationwide, a new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll suggests.

According to the new survey out Wednesday, nearly 70 percent of all Americans oppose the controversial plan to build the mosque just blocks away from the solemn site in lower Manhattan while just 29 percent favor the construction.

This mosque is so controversial – they could be building a target for vandalism – or something worse!

Also, when are they going to be as loving of us? If we go to their country to build a church or tell of Christ, we are murdered for our Christian beliefs. But yet they want us to not take offense to it. The Islamic ways will set women back 100 years. The ladies come here and still cover their heads so they cant tell me they are here living the American way. If they want to be here, welcome them and love them but if they want to bring their countries ways then they tell me they dont love the USA and want to be here for peace. the wqys of islam does not fit into democracy. They dont believe in equal rights. Study what Islam truely is and see for yourself. Islam isnt a religion so freedom of religion doesnt apply.

    First of all people,
Quit pissing your pants. Do we complain when CHRISTAINS rape little girls (or even decide to think that it's such a big problem to be on t.v.)? Perhaps kill people just to rob a bank? Oh wait, we almost forgot about that! Oh and don't compare a few terriots to the whole islam nation. You obviously don't know anything about the religion or the people. & why not build it there? It's called WASTE OF SPACE, go search it up. & yes it is EXACTLY like telling a black person "not to sit in the front of the bus" because they are terrified that they would become unslaved.

Go do your research and quit making wasteful comments.
