CNN's Rick Sanchez out after controversial comments on Jews

CNN anchor Rick Sanchez left the network Friday afternoon, a day after making some controversial comments, including this about TV host Jon Stewart:

"I'm telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority? Yeah."

Sanchez was responding to a question from XM Sirius radio host Pete Dominick, who noted that Stewart is Jewish after Sanchez had called him "a bigot," saying Stewart is biased against "everybody else who's not like him."

I cannot understand why he was fired. Was he fired for telling the truth. He and Anderson Cooper were the only reporters that made CNN worth watching. I

I agree I haven't watched CNN since they dismissed Rick Sanchez.. I have now moved on to MSNBC, REUTERS, and others.. Rick Sanchez by far was the best male reporter they had, CNN made a huge mistake by letting him go, and it shows.. Look I agree as Rick Sanchez himself has said the comment was wrong but this was no reason for a dismissal.

Has anyone seen 2 !/2 men, family guy and all the others that make me cringe if children walk in the room. As an Irish Catholic I have been a walking joke all my life. Rick Sanchez was the light of my afternoon. I hope he finds a spot tthat will appreciate him.

It was a sad day for me when I heard that ric sanchez had been fired from cnn. I am 82 years old, and he was my only entertainment for the day. I too, heard the joke utter by the comedian and found it offensive. He is the one who should be making the apology to the Hispanics. I never listen to
woof blister his monotone voice is annoying.
