Mohammed tops list of English baby names

Hit the road, Jack.

Last year's most popular name for baby boys in England has been knocked off - by Mohammed.

That's not immediately obvious from data put out this week by the Office of National Statistics, which declared Wednesday that Oliver was the single most popular name for boys born in 2009.

    The younger generation English have bluntly refused to go to church,hence allowing d church of England to diminish in membership.Meanwhile d muslims have a stronger bond with their faith,so in my opinion those that believe in something,flaunt it because we didn’t create ourselves but a superior being did it for us and here we r acting as though we brought ourselves to dis lovely planet of ours.So d English have d name Emmanuel( and not Jesus mind u) to their disposal if they so wish to use it.stop cryn fowl and worship your God and leave d atheists americans to suffer in their ignorance

    We as Muslims have always been proud to name our children in the name of Prophets of God.. From Adam,Naoh down to Mosa, Issa and Muhammed SAW.. And nothing wrong with that some of those named come good some come bad but that is no insult to those names... But it is an Insult to draw some images from your imaginations and then call it to be of those Holy Prophets since we have no true images of those or their colors? You have let Jesus be insulted with images you made of him and allowing funny movies be made of some one impersonating him... We wouldn't allow that of our prophet as you would realize if you had seen the Islamic movie "The Message" you will understand.

    Muslims demonize themselves via the history of Islam as seen in their founder, an illiterate, hallucinating, warmongering, greedy and lust-filled, long-dead Arab. As long as the Worst Book Ever Written aka koran is the operating manual of Islam, Muslims of any stripe cannot be trusted. And this ladies and gentlemen is why Islam will crash someday in a whirlwind of common sense and rational thinking but first the Five Steps to Deprogram Islam must be promulgated in the Islamic world which at the moment is difficult because of imams and their assassin and terror go-ons who terrorize thinking Muslims and non-Muslims with bombings, stabbings, beheadings and stonings all in the name of allah. If you have a Muslim friend/neighbor, please print out a copy of the Five Steps and give it to them.

      @Whom May Concerns...
      Hope you don't mind me referring to the Quran about many issues discussed but this is supposed to be the way of our lives as Muslims and to us this is our guiding light and that on judgment date who has the Book held in his right hand,he would be rewarded for it, and those appeared holding Book in his left hand will be punished for it? It is our best friend in life if we learned and not taken issues in to our hands as Gods on Earth a-busing or applying force but by the power of the science "Sultan" in Sura't Al-Rahman through which we are told will be able to penetrate Heavens Hight"s God Allah permits.. Do not know why we be radical about what we are told to do and that was the message to us that Religion and Science are supposed to be one to enable us to live not in Earth only but the Universe ? Do you realize that and that is our faith to combine both because both are key components for such ventures to the unknown searching for the truth of things with out losing faith in God since mankind had an enemy from date one of his creation and now has so many of that one enemy and are lead by him to mutilate the truth faking the facts therefore we should not jump to conclusions losing our faiths in God from first impressions with out true knowledge or bases theories but not for facts?!
      Sad to see that science is more dedicated to Wars between Mankind's what ever means items used for these term-ination wars and not the science that benefits Mankind,Humanity rights,Peace,Prosperty and ventures to the unknown in creation of Earth and the universe...!

      @Men of Science

      Reading Many posts about "science challenging religions" got me thinking&wondering ?
      If ManKind as told consists of:
      1-Body. Created by means of God or Nature Coincidence &Cells theory?
      2-Soul. Is "Mind&Heart" are told to be what ever consequences lead to shaping the personality that makes the decisions,it is the "I am the one or the self ego...
      3-Spirit, Now what is it with this because we are told by the Holy Quran that the knowledge of Spirit is only known by God Alone ??
      But does the science have any thing to tell us or explain to us any thing about it??
      We are told as well that Spirits becomes in to the baby during creation in their mothers womb  making that small heart beat, we are told they are choice-less in mankind behavior and in making or taking choices, we are told it leaves the person upon death and returns back to God the Creator immediately, we are told Spirits will not at all be judged "rewarded or punished"?
      So any thing about that in Science or your Holy Books?
      Another thing I was surprised to have learnt that the Jinn nation were not mentioned in your Books nor that Angels were created from Pure Light and Jinn from the poison fires? Which the Satan"Ibleese" was from their nations and not from the Angel nations? Any Idea about both issues Please?

      Mike B (17:19:20) :I was really hlnoidg out hope that eventually the truth of what is really happening with global temperatures and melting ice (NOT) would some day turn this global warming jugernaut around. It is really demoralizing to see stories like this. It is apparent that if the facts don’t support the global warming agenda that they are just going to make up whatever they want to keep it going. It appears that the press is so brain washed that they will go along with it too without challenging it. Is all hope for the truth lost????I have been around for more decades than I care to admit, and I have never seen anything quite as appalling as this collective blindness. The '60s were maybe crazier, but the establishment, however beleaguered, was able to muddle through to some kind of middle ground. There was active, often violent, debate. But today we have the political and media establishments engaged in a kind of millenarian crusade, and the bulk of the population are acquiescing like stupefied sheep.The Realists have got to find a way to wake people up before the whole society marches blindly off the cliff in search of the solution to chimera of climate change'. But Realists are by their very nature averse to engaging in crusades, even an anti-crusade'.The Alarmists pushing for world-wide governmental action to stop climate change' can sway even reluctant believers with appeals to the high priesthood of establishment scientists', dismissing skeptics as cranks and heretics. Unless the Realists can convince enough of that priesthood to defect and announce that the Alarmists are wrong, that there is no problem with burning fossil fuels and making more CO2, I do not see how the Realists can turn around the march to the cliff.It is past time for a Martin Luther of Realists to nail a declaration to the doors of Congress and the other parliaments in the West, challenging the priesthood and calling on them to debate in public. Who among Realists is brave enough to take on that role?/Mr Lynn
