The Bible is correct that it should have been dealt with privately with mediation. However, I believe that the type of accusation that was leveled in the public and your reputation as a "Man of God" put on the line, then a private mediation should be the last thing you do. He should have opted for a public trial to clear his name of any wrong doing. Now, you leave people believing that you have something to hide whether they want to admit it or not.
Never trust a man with a Jhery Curl!
I find it amazing that we address this issue in the church, but no one begins to address the womanizing that goes forth from the pulpit also. If CNN looked and reseached enough, they would find that also there are pastors who are doing what Bishop Long is accused of but also there are pastors who womanize also.
It's ok for blacks to be perverts pedophiles and murders when they have money .
This does mean that he is guilty, he is so thoughtful of others that he is attempting to spare the victims of this horrendous crime the humiliating ordeal of a trail were he no doubt would win. His thoughts are only of others, the poor victims and their families, he has no thoughts of own name being ruined by this.
If you are wondering, I believe he is innocent because he said he was innocent and only an innocent man can say that he is an innocent man. Just like the Bible is the word of God because it is written in the Bible that the Bible is the word of God, same logic, if it works for the Bible surely if works for the Pious Bishop, doesn’t it?
"This does mean that he is guilty" I meant to write, "This does not mean that he is guilty". I just couldn't write it with a straight face.
