Billboard blitz for 877-Why-Islam info hotline

By Liane Membis, CNN

(CNN) – Want to learn more about Islam? There’s a hotline for that. And, through the end of the month, lots of roadside billboards to get the word out about it.

Two 48 foot-tall billboards towering over the New Jersey Turnpike bear the messages "877-Why-Islam — Get the Facts” and “Ramadan — 1.57 Billion Celebrating. Find Out Why.”

The signs are part of the Islamic Circle of North America’s 1-877-Why-Islam outreach project, established in 1999 with an eye toward educating Americans about Islam and Muslims.

The New Jersey billboards are two of more than 50 signs that are lining highways across the nation during August, as Muslims mark the holy month of Ramadan.

Explain it to me: What's Ramadan?

The Why Islam Project has also used television and newspaper ads and community booths to promote the hotline. Its website, WhyIslam.org,  features information about the religion and a tool for users to arrange tours of local mosques.

Ashfaq Parkar, the coordinator of the Why Islam Project, said the hotline, which gets around 600 calls a month, is aimed at dispelling myths about Islam.

“What we are doing is trying to provide people with the means of obtaining accurate information about our religion,” Parkar said. “There are a lot of people that feel that Muslims need to step out and assure that their religion is appropriately represented. If we don’t do it, someone else will, and there’s a good chance that we will be misrepresented.”

Calls to the toll-free 24/7 hotline are answered by volunteers from the Muslim community who are concerned about the image of Islam and want to help improve relations with other Americans.

Muslim comedy tour hits Deep South

Volunteers for the hotline receive extensive training but are not required to be scholars or religious leaders.

The most frequently asked question: What does Islam say about terrorism?

Questions and calls that link the religion to violence surged after the 9/11 attacks, Parkar said.

“When we get these kind of calls some people get confrontational or angry on the phone,” Parkar said. “But we welcome that.”

“The fact they are calling and are willing to engage in discussion means something to us," he said. "They have concerns, they want a dialogue. We listen and we give that to them.”

“We just want to educate people and show the American community that we are a community to be accepted not detested.”

The billboards will remain up until the end of the Ramadan, known for its daytime fasts, on August 29.

“It’s a time when the general community around us is curious about fasting, our religion, our beliefs,” Parkar said.

    BRAINWASHING

    A Synthesis of the Russian Textbook on Psychopolitics

    The following treatise on communist brainwashing, which has been published and republished since the 1930s, is an edited version of an actual textbook on Russian "psychopolitics." It was used as a primer, here in America, to teach communist agents how to brainwash people, and, in fact, how to subvert entire populations. While the wording of this particular treatise and there are any number of them may or may not be completely authentic, two things are historically certain: 1) Such brainwashing activities really occurred, and 2) this volume accurately conveys the principles and techniques employed.
    An objective look at the state of America today her inst-i-tutions, her socialistic political-economic drift, her young people's values shows precisely the results that the Soviets, for decades, bragged they wanted to achieve. It is almost as though, while communism is dying (as a political system) throughout most of the world, the seeds of corruption it planted here in the U.S. have germinated and borne bitter fruit.

    Don't take my word for it. Read the following treatise on psychopolitics, and see whether the conditions predicted back then are not exactly what America faces today in the 1990's. Consider the methods described herein the degradation of youth through $ex and drugs, the se-du-ction of this nation's media, educational, and religious inst-i-tutions, the discrediting of her leaders and decide tor yourself whether or not they are the very means that have been employed to accomplish these ends.

    THE PSYCHOPOLITICAL INDOCTRINATION OF AMERICA

    A number of years ago, I set out to para-phrase a Russian Communist text-book t-i-tled PSYCHOPOLITCS; (the art of controlling the mind of an entire nation, in order to subjugate them). It was the Zionist "blueprint for the Communist con-quest of Christendom, which means primarily the White nations of the Free World and the United States in particular.

    This book was introduced to a hand picked group of 48 American college students, who were attending the Lenin School of Psychopolitical Warfare, at the University of Moscow, as the first step in their training to become the cadre for the Communist conquest of America. 45 of these young people were Jews. The book was introduced in 1934, by Laventria Beria, who at that time was the Jewish head of the Russian Secret Police. Beria confidently predicted that Jewish Communism would eventually "have dominion over the minds and bodies of every important person in America", and would "bring about the quiet Communist conquest of the United States".

    Religion: Fools for Christ
    Monday, May 24, 1948

    "All our talk about peace and the weapons of the spirit is meaningless unless we try in every way to embrace voluntary poverty and not work in any position, any job that contributes to war . . . We must give up our place in this world, sacrifice children, family . . . And we will be considered fools for Christ."

Spiritual works of mercy: to instruct the ignorant, counsel the doubtful, admonish sinners, bear wrongs patiently, forgive offenses willingly, comfort the afilicted, and pray for the living and the dead.

      War between Nations and war among the people
      "To be defeated is pardonable; to be surprised – never!" (Napoleon)

      The move from the potential “wars between nations” of the second half of the 20th century to the “wars among the people” at the beginning of the 21st century has a profound impact on defence industry.
      As the t-i-tle of this article indicates, in order to avoid being taken by surprise by the next war, defence contractors must not anticipate either wars between nations OR wars among the people, but rather wars between nations AND wars among the people.

      Any chance for immorality treatment ? That is what today people need since we can see how your infertility treatment has done..! It only crowded our planet over it's land food capacity besides having not had the proper Morals live by?

      Take this for a reading;
      quote;
      David Cameron: Riots a Moral "Wake-Up Call"
      Aug 17, 2011 : Office of the Prime Minister.

      "We have been too unwilling for too long to talk about what is right and what is wrong." -David Cameron

      There were different things going on in different parts of the country, these riots were not about government cuts: they were directed at high street stores, not Parliament. And these riots were not about poverty: that insults the millions of people who, whatever the hardship, would never dream of making others suffer like this.

      No, this was about behavior:
      …people showing indifference to right and wrong
      …people with a twisted moral code
      …people with a complete absence of self-restraint

      Now I know as soon as I use words like 'behavior' and 'moral' people will say; 'what gives politicians the right to lecture us?' But politicians shying away from speaking the truth about behavior, about morality—this has actually helped to cause the social problems we see around us. We have been too unwilling for too long to talk about what is right and what is wrong.

    God forgives only on the basis of what Jesus the Savior has done on behalf of mankind – dying on the cross. God is holy and He never skips justice. For the present mankind, hell is a justice. What everyone needs is learning and applying the Judeo-Christian values, not better economy. Economy crashes anyway but character is forever.

    The Mercy of Allah in Regard to Forgiveness
    Quote;
    "O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and put your hope in Me, I have forgiven you for what you have done and I do not mind. O son of Adam, if your sins were to reach the clouds of the sky and then you would seek My forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of Adam, if you were to come to Me with sins that are close to filling the earth and then you would meet Me without ascribing any partners with Me, I would certainly bring to you forgiveness close to filling it."

    There was a sect called Khawaarij, who worshipped Allah only in fear and held the belief that anyone who commits major sins was a disbeliever and would be thrown into the Hellfire forever. This is a gross extremism and straying from the correct path.

    Yet, another sect, which emerged within the first century of Islam, had no fear and believed that sins did not affect ones faith and that as long as one believed and testified in Islam, he would enter Paradise regardless of his actions. Both of these extremes lead to a dangerous consequence.

      With all humility, I seek to give you understanding in regards to the Salvation of the Soul! Biblical forgiveness does not depend on the works of man, but rather, in the work of Jesus Christ, God Himself.
      First of all, God loves mankind and seeks the voluntary reconciliation between God and man. To this reconciliation, He provided a one way door, Jesus Christ. Either you enter in, or never enter in. Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself for the forgiveness of the sins of the entire mankind, even Mohammad's sins, even your sins. Because Jesus Christ never committed sin, for Jesus is God Himself, and God cannot sin. Therefore, we crucified God, unknowingly yet according to His will, for it was the only way He could forgive us, not because of who we are, but because of Jesus Christ.
      Secondly, once a Christian is saved, he always is! If he/she sins so much and does not repent, God will take them away, without the need of the mahdi or anything like that!
      Thirdly, I invite you to think when was Islam created? In the 4TH century.
      Fourthly, was Muhammad a man of peace or a bloody man?
      And lastly, are you a muslim because someone taught you to be or because you freely thought into islam? I freely though into Christianity from catholicism, because Biblical Christianity makes sense! But islam... Let's put it this way: What muslim nation has freedoms like the Judeo-Christian based America?
      I guess a free-America really is unattainable with islamic principles!

    You believe in God, but need correct knowledge of Him.
    This is how we are to God without being covered by the Divine Jesus our righteousness.
    We have no hope without the cleansing by Jesus.

    "All of us have become like one who is unclean,
    and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags;
    we all shrivel up like a leaf,
    and like the wind our sins sweep us away." (Isaiah 64:6)

    @Muneef, if you truly love God, ask Him to reveal Himrself to you and then start reading the Bible. God does not allow any forces to change His Word. If you know the Bible contains God's Word, read the whole Bible in order to find out what He said. I would. Ask God to make you understand His truth. Humility, honesty and diligence are what you need in reading God's Word.

    it is a shame that the "sham" of a religion has so much hatred burried within it.
    they can be your friend (an islamist) but they are doing it only for profit to the religion.
    Even real nice muslims will let you know that you will never understand the koran and the teachings within the mosques...
    they don't like parts of the koran but are Forced to live with it, or die by the hands of the mosque buddies...
