Church invites jobless to place resumes on altar

(CNN) - A Catholic church outside Buffalo, New York is taking prayers for the jobless to a new level, inviting unemployed parishioners to place their resumes on the alter

"It's tough times," said Father Bill Quinlivan, who came up with the idea to collect resumes and pray for them at a recent prayer service, told CNN Buffalo affiliate WGRZ. "So we go to God with that."

Quinlivan is a priest at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Tonawanda, New York.

"It's an important lesson for us to realize we take our faith out into the marketplace and into the workplace," Quinlivan told WGRZ. "What sometimes some of us do is we tell God what we want instead of asking what he wants."

Joblessness is ever an effectualism endowed in many social enclaves. Not withstanding, the percentages of the jobless rate does rise and fall and it is dependent upon many social and capitalist agendas outside the framed works of Federalism's grasp. The "Republic" of the United States of America has a stunted phobia called Democracy and in spreading such a demon-ocracy around the world to 1stly sponsor and then 2ndly beguilingly uproot despotisms and terror-run nations/sates is pure lunacy. The same can be said of spreading one's idolotrous religious theocracies in One GOD only of which I want no part(s) of.

Capitalisms of industrialized nations run to where the labor is the cheapest, leaving those who were once the backbone, high and dry and without a job. The same can be said of emerging tech industries. Labor here in the USA has become cheap to those willing to hire and once the US's laborforce becomes likened to 3rd world laborforces, then and only then will there be a lowering of U.S.A.s joblessness rates and percentages.

Of all the ways NOT to get a job, this one seems to require the most effort.

Will one copy suffice to bless all of someone's resumes, or do job seekers have to use only the resumes that were actually on the altar/alter (sic)? Are those copies the only ones charged with god-of-the-jobs magic? If so, that would mean if candidates are going to send out 50 resumes to 50 employers, they have to put a whole stack on the resume magic irradiating device. I hope it's a strong table, paper is heavy. What's the shelf life of the blessing? Would it help to store these paper talismans in a cool, dark place, or seal them in air-tight ziplock bags, or a lead-lined box, or refrigerate them? Would it help to bless the envelope and stamps too? What if you submit your resume by email? Do you have to bring in your whole computer to be bombarded with godatrons, or will blessing a thumb drive with your resume word file do?

Appears god hasn't learnt to e-mail yet. Too advanced for him. I keep on sending messages to god@bigguyinthesky.org and nothing comes back. Never answers my prayers either, the lazy bas-tard. I get a better response rate from Santa @ The North Pole.

Prayers and godliness are useless, good ideas are priceless!!!----------------–

Some ideas for creating new jobs: (What are your ideas?)

    1. Insti-tute an “old-house/condo/apartment” replacement program akin to the successful “automobile gas-guzzler” removal program. Today, there are simply too many houses, condos and apartments in the USA. It is significantly stupid to continue building new ones on new lots. Tear down existing dwellings and rebuild on the same lot thereby keeping the number of housing units stable and providing many jobs in the demolition, building material supply and construction industries.

    2. Are big cities needed anymore? Most exist for the service industry and these days most services can be provided from the home via PCs. Time to consider big city downsizing with conversion of these outdated areas to parks and entertainment centers. Again, more jobs are created to accomplish this. (planners, architects, landscapers, construction workers and building material suppliers).

    3. Fresh water diversions/capture: It is insane to allow all of our fresh water to flow back into the oceans. Areas like Southwest and Western states have droughts almost every year. Time to build huge canals from rivers like the Mississippi and Missouri to irrigate these parched lands. And it is time to dramatically increase the number of reservoirs in states like Texas, California, Arizona and New Mexico. Again more jobs created for planners, civil engineers, construction workers, building suppliers, farmers and ranchers.

    4. R&E jobs- 1. computer-driven cars, busses, trucks, planes and ships 2. Robotic police, fire and protective aids 3. More efficient birth control methods 4. A pill to temporarily eliminate the s-ex drive. 4. A female “Viagra” 5. Continued search for cheap fusion energy.

    5. Space jobs- 1. Moon/Mars stations/mining run by robots. 2. Highly functional, well-equipped, super-fast interstellar probes

I'm all for #'s 4 and 5 Reality. Time, yes time for changing the peering inwardly and upon and to outwardly realms is needed. Bio-nano-technologies is needed to be franchised and/or given grants. Imagine, nano-bots cruising among the blood cells helping to eliminate diseases before they can do the body any harm. Nano-bots rebuilding once broken nerves and bringing a real hope to those with ongoing nerve damages. Or stem-cell research allowed to expand its' research giving a sense of hope to those who have physical maladies that are nowadays without hope.

Why should we fear your god, if he's as kind and loving and merciful as you claim?

Oh, OK, you didn't mean that last part. Your god is a jerk. Fine, you can keep him.

Yes if you're weak and very poor and have no job, the church wants you, you should be shaking with the fear of god in no time.

America, debts are nothing; they are just numbers. Don't be fooled. You have the land and military. In the worst scenario, all you need is to kick out all the foreign elements, give up some of your toys and grow your own crops, and no one will say anything to you because you have ammunition. Your only threat is laziness and your own children with amorality.

One of the best things about America is that we don't have you in it.
