christianity is a cult. when a cult is accepted by society, it becomes a religion. when a religion has no more cult members, it becomes a mythology. christianity is at step 2.

the fundamentalists are lost. but i know there are a lot of you that have doubts. perhaps lots of doubts. things about religion just don't make sense. the bible has talking snakes and donkeys (like in shrek). a guy lives in a giant fish for 3 days (like in pinocchio). there are dragons, unicorns, saytrs and c.cokatrice in the bible. there are literally hundreds of biblical contradictions. and then you get to the evil stuff. god drowns everyone on earth in his great flood - including babies, pregnant women, the elderly, the physically disabled, mentally challenged, every man, woman and child except one family - hard to justify the murder of millions, including infants. god specifically murders the first born of egypt to punish the pharoah. he sends bears to kill 42 children that make fun of one of his bald prophets.

you know this isn't real. stop obeying and start questioning. look up the facts yourself. use the internet, look up studies, research the answers on your own. follow logic to its conclusion. you've been taught not to question anything - that's exactly opposite of what you should be doing.
it can only bring you closer to the truth. you don't need religion to be a good person. you know what's right and wrong. we all do, on a basic level. murder was illegal in every civilization that existed long before christianity ever reared its head.

realize, no insult intended, that yahweh is just one of thousands of gods in human history, a man-made social construct. now unclasp your hands. get up off your knees. go outside and make a difference. let logic, reason and compassion lead you. you will be a better person and will lead a more fulfilling life.

Bootyfunk, go search the Net to see when this scripture was written.

      2 Timothy 4:3-4

      3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Fables – myths ... don't debate me with semantics.

Fuster, I hope you understand there is a difference between religion and Jesus' truth.

I've danced with venomous snakes too. It's just a small part of our training. We've got other training too, like making bombproof promises. The disciplines we produce during this training overcomes all of the toxic medications we're on.
Are you trained to be included like my crew or are you trained to be an outcast with no friends whatsoever?
Our own government trains us to resist all fear & it's perfectly legal – despite the meds.
    You've had the bad dose.

  6. It's . . . The First Annual "Help The Christians Develop More Ways To Prove God" Contest ! ! !

Let's face it, ladies and gentlemen, the ole mamba-mambo snake and poison schtick has run pretty tired over the years, so let's help the Christians come up with new ways for them to show that faith protects them from other dangers as well! Here are some early entires. Feel free to add in your own.

Rev Kyle Lake and Pastor Michael Davis have a shocking idea: Using the microphone while standing in water during baptisms!

Pastor Gary Aldrdige recommends doing the autoerotic asphyxiation thing while hogtying yourself and wearing two complete wet suits, including a face mask, diving gloves and slippers, rubberized underwear, a head mask and a dildo firmly entrenched in your anus.

Father Adelir Antonio recommends ascending in a balloon-lifted lawnchair and being blown out to sea.

A pastor in Gabon insists that one could literally walk on water, if one had enough faith, even if you can't swim.

As you guessed, these are all dumb things religious leaders have done, resulting in rapture. Here's another classic fun-and-true tidbit: in 1994 Father Liam Cosgrave, a curate from Baldoyle died in a gay sauna. He was given the last rites by two other Catholic priests who happened to be in the club and emerged from their cubical on hearing crys for help.

I notice PETA isn't running in all ablaze to freak out about how this affects the snakes. Someone should tell them about this and watch the two groups duke it out. We could sell tickets to a bout like that.

and yet they never drink the ar.senic

"they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." Mark 16:18

come on true believers drink up after all Jesus doesn't lie

come one first person that post a video of them self drinking ar.senic (or other deadly poison) gets a free one way ticket to paradise

"Okay, you place your left hand up with the palm cupped, your right hand on the small of the snake's back.

Then the snake places her right hand in your palm..., er, wait... uh...this doesn't seem to work.

I am sure if he is bit his prayer will be answered and he will be spared.

Prayer does not; you are such a LIAR. You have NO proof it changes anything! A great example of prayer proven not to work is the Christians in jail because prayer didn't work and their children died. For example: Susan Grady, who relied on prayer to heal her son. Nine-year-old Aaron Grady died and Susan Grady was arrested.

An article in the Journal of Pediatrics examined the deaths of 172 children from families who relied upon faith healing from 1975 to 1995. They concluded that four out of five ill children, who died under the care of faith healers or being left to prayer only, would most likely have survived if they had received medical care.

The statistical studies from the nineteenth century and the three CCU studies on prayer are quite consistent with the fact that humanity is wasting a huge amount of time on a procedure that simply doesn’t work. Nonetheless, faith in prayer is so pervasive and deeply rooted, you can be sure believers will continue to devise future studies in a desperate effort to confirm their beliefs!

And, this time, if they want to secede, I think most northerners will be too smart to sign up to bring 'em back in the union.

True. And it's also putting God to the test. It's also another act of showing-off or maybe and act of arrogance and pride instead of a way of worship
