Humble pope has complicated past

(CNN) - Pope Francis is being painted as a humble and simple man, but his past is tinged with controversy surrounding topics as sensitive as gay marriage and political atrocities.

Questions linger about Francis' actions during the nation's dark days: the so-called Dirty War, when Argentina was ruled by dictators. The gay marriage issue came to the forefront during Francis' political fight with Argentina's president.

The conservative pontiff may hold firm on some issues, experts say, but he may be flexible on others.

"If you think that (Francis) isn't going to change anything, you're wrong," said Gustavo Girard, a retired doctor who knew Francis during his early years in the priesthood. "But is he going to approve of gay marriage tomorrow? No."

Humble Pope, give me a break!!😛

A man who lives in the second biggest Palace in the World is called humble!

How can a man who lives surrounded by Luxuries untold, Silver and Gold, attendants and servants, even his own Private Army be called humble? He travels in his own plane, rides in some of the costliest Limousines, the Italian Army even have a Helicopter for him, and is still called humble! What a Charade!!

A man who wears Vestments valued in the Thousands of dollars; can he be called humble?

Sure, sure; Anyone who believes that I can sell them the Brooklyn bridge!

A human can be humble regardless of residence or surroundings. Just as a homeless human or random person with a computer, may be arrogant and prideful. Matters of the heart and soul of a person have nothing to do with the things you've commented on. Do you honestly think, after actually considering all possibilities, that a man, that is likely close to his death and what lies there, is really incapable of ignoring his surroundings and be earnest? Incredulous.
We will all face death, and then the judgement.
