Satanists unveil design for OK statehouse statue

By Daniel Burke, CNN Belief Blog Co-Editor

(CNN) - Satanists have unveiled their design for a proposed statue at the Oklahoma state Capitol, including a place for people to sit on the devil's lap "for inspiration and contemplation."

The New York-based Satanic Temple submitted its proposal to Oklahoma officials this month after applying for a spot on Capitol grounds late last year. The Satanists say their statue would "complement and contrast" with a Ten Commandments monument placed at the Capitol in Oklahoma City in 2012.

The Satanists' proposed monument depicts Baphomet, a goat-headed pagan idol sitting on a 7-foot-tall throne inscribed with an inverted pentagram. In an artist's rendering provided by the Satanic Temple, smiling children look adoringly at the devilish figure.

"The statue will serve as a beacon calling for compassion and empathy among all living creatures," Lucien Greaves, a spokesman for the Satanic Temple, said in a prepared statement. "The statue will also have a functional purpose as a chair where people of all ages may sit on the lap of Satan for inspiration and contemplation.”

According to its Indiegogo page, the Satanists have raised more than $16,000 toward their goal of $20,000 for the monument, which Greaves said would "be a historical marker commemorating the scapegoats, the marginalized, the demonized minority and the unjustly outcast.”

The Temple of Satan is less a religious body organized around rituals and regular meetings than a roving band of political provocateurs, according to Greaves. They believe Satan is a "literary construct," the spokesman said, not an actual being with horns and hooves.

The proposed statue includes quotations from poets Lord Byron and William Blake.

“Prisons are built with stones of Law, Brothels with bricks of Religion” runs the Blake quotation. The 18th-century poet was a Christian, albeit one with a mystical bent and little use for traditional morality.

The statue's main figure, Baphomet, has long been associated with Satan, Greaves said. In the 12th century, the Knights Templar, a group of Christian crusaders, were accused of worshiping Baphomet in their secretive rituals.

"From the mythology created by these accusations against the Templars, we now have a symbol for Satan pictured as a goat-headed beast," Greaves said.

Since the 1960s, a variation of the horned goat head has been the official symbol of the Church of Satan, which is not affiliated with the Temple of Satan. The head of the Church of Satan has told CNN he does not approve of the idea of a Satanist statue on public grounds.

Oklahoma state Rep. Paul Wesselhoft told CNN that he doesn't think the Satanists' statue will be approved.

“What will disqualify them has really nothing to do with Satan as such; it's that it has no historical significance for the state of Oklahoma,” he said.

Trait Thompson, chairman of Oklahoma's Capitol Preservation Committee, said he has not received the Satanists' proposed design yet. He also said that no applications will be considered until a lawsuit over the Ten Commandments monument is settled.

The American Civil Liberties Union has sued over Oklahoma's Ten Commandments monument, calling it an unconstitutional government endorsement of religion.

After news broke of the Satanists' proposal, the state was flooded with requests from religious groups seeking to erect monuments to their own faith, including Hindus and Pastafarians, a satirical religion that "worships" the Flying Spaghetti Monster.

An Oklahoma lawmaker told CNN that the Satanists' message wouldn't fly in the Bible Belt state, where nearly two-thirds of the population is Christian.

"Any monument displayed on state property should reflect the values of Oklahoma or memorialize those who built or defended our freedom," Rep. Bob Cleveland said Tuesday. "In my opinion, this Satanist monument does not meet with the values of Oklahomans."

Good Morning to all my brothers and sisters in mankind....

Those who followed will say, "If only we had another turn [at worldly life] so we could disassociate ourselves from them as they have disassociated themselves from us." Thus will Allah show them their deeds as regrets upon them. And they are never to emerge from the Fire. – 2:167

O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. – 2:168

He only orders you to evil and immorality and to say about Allah what you do not know. – 2:169

And when it is said to them, "Follow what Allah has revealed," they say, "Rather, we will follow that which we found our fathers doing." Even though their fathers understood nothing, nor were they guided? – 2:170

The example of those who disbelieve is like that of one who shouts at what hears nothing but calls and cries cattle or sheep – deaf, dumb and blind, so they do not understand. – 2:171

O you who have believed, eat from the good things which We have provided for you and be grateful to Allah if it is [indeed] Him that you worship. – 2:12

    Peace!!!

The history of the world should be sufficient to show the destruction, and death that accompanies your religion. The way that your religion is practiced throughout the world should show you.

Why would any religion of a peaceful god, be used in such destructive and murderous ways? It was inspred by satan ( the evil thoughts of MEN) and you believe it. Your religion has brought a lot of horrible things to the world, and any positives it may have are overshadowed by the negative aspects of the belief.Considering how much death and destruction that have happened as a result of your belief system, what evidence do you have that Islam is NOT the work of satan?

And once again to save the likes of mzh and his fellow sisters and brothers of Islam:

From the studies of Armstrong, Rushdie, Hirsi Ali, Richardson and Bayhaqi----–

The Five Steps To Deprogram 1400 Years of Islamic Myths:

( –The Steps take less than two minutes to finish- simply amazing, two minutes to bring peace and rationality to over one billion lost souls- Priceless!!!)

          Are you ready?

Using "The 77 Branches of Islamic "faith" a collection compiled by Imam Bayhaqi as a starting point. In it, he explains the essential virtues that reflect true "faith" (iman) through related Qur’anic verses and Prophetic sayings." i.e. a nice summary of the Koran and Islamic beliefs.

The First Five of the 77 Branches:

          "1. Belief in Allah"

aka as God, Yahweh, Zeus, Jehovah, Mother Nature, etc. should be added to your self-cleansing neurons.

"2. To believe that everything other than Allah was non-existent. Thereafter, Allah Most High created these things and subsequently they came into existence."

Evolution and the Big Bang or the "Gi-b G-nab" (when the universe starts to recycle) are more plausible and the "akas" for Allah should be included if you continue to be a "crea-tionist".

"3. To believe in the existence of angels."

A major item for neuron cleansing. Angels/de-vils are the mythical creations of ancient civilizations, e.g. Hitt-ites, to explain/define natural events, contacts with their gods, big birds, sudden winds, protectors during the dark nights, etc. No "pretty/ug-ly wingy thingies" ever visited or talked to Mohammed, Jesus, Mary or Joseph or Joe Smith. Today we would classify angels as f–airies and "tin–ker be-lls". Modern de-vils are classified as the de-mons of the de-mented.

"4. To believe that all the heavenly books that were sent to the different prophets are true. However, apart from the Quran, all other books are not valid anymore."

Another major item to delete. There are no books written in the spirit state of Heaven (if there is one) just as there are no angels to write/publish/distribute them. The Koran, OT, NT etc. are simply books written by humans for humans.

Prophets were invented by ancient scribes typically to keep the un-educated masses in line. Today we call them for-tune tellers.

Prophecies are also invali-dated by the natural/God/Allah gifts of Free Will and Future.

"5. To believe that all the prophets are true. However, we are commanded to follow the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings
          be upon him) alone."

Mohammed spent thirty days "fasting" (the Ramadan legend) in a hot cave before his first contact with Allah aka God etc. via a "pretty wingy thingy". Common sense demands a neuron deletion of #5. #5 is also the major source of Islamic vi-olence i.e. turning Mohammed's "fast, hunger-driven" hallu-cinations into horrible reality for unbelievers.

Walk these Five Steps and we guarantee a complete recovery from your Islamic ways!!!!

Unfortunately, there are not many Muslim commentators/readers on this blog so the "two-minute" cure is not getting to those who need it. If you have a Muslim friend, send him a copy and help save the world.

Analogous steps are available at your request for deprogramming the myths of Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Paganism..

I'm pretty sure god takes the cake with the whole great flood incident that killed billions of creatures that were completely innocent in a giant over reaction to a few thousand people not following him. God is a mistranslation for dictator.

    Pretty little Satan
Oh if only you had been
Was afraid to look to Jesus
Cause the same might be true of him
No matter what I saw of you
When I'd lay me down to sleep
You were always gone by breakfast
    No point in thinking deep
    And should we grow captivated
    by your strange unearthly charm?

But to hit the snooze alarm.

It's so great to see Christians getting called out here for their nonsense, after they've gotten away with it for centuries. Finally the world has enough freedom plus the voice of the internet, that this can happen.

Why do you think it's okay to categorize people based on a religion instead of looking at them all as people?

      January 12, 2014 at 1:50 am |
      • Barcs

Because many of them oppose freedom of religion when it's not their religion, yet expect the full benefits package of freedom for their own beliefs. That isn't a generalization, that's a fact. Obviously they all are not like that, but looking back in history of the past 2000 years, Christianity has been pretty much the only publicized religion in the Western World before the last 50 years. Go back just 150 years and they are executing people for being witches, simply because they didn't conform to mainstream christian society. If non believers were not tortured and executed for well over a thousand years (often with the pope's approval as he stood there and watched), there wouldn't be such vehement opposition and people building statues mostly to get them upset. I feel it's been really lopsided over the years, they've had their time in the sun. Today is a new age. An age where anybody can express their religion or beliefs and not have to worry about being persecuted for it. Christians shouldn't be upset about this. Turn the other cheek and show empathy like Jesus taught. The way things are moving, it's only a matter of time before Islam / Christianity / Judaism merge into a new religion, which is about good deeds rather than literal doctrine. The signs are all there. Give it 50 years tops.

Great suggestion Hope! Reading the bible is the #1 way in which one becomes an atheist.

Nonetheless – (King of Darkness) – If you can't get your hands on the story of Noah, try Gilgamesh – same story, different names.

    January 11, 2014 at 12:25 pm |
    • Richard Stanley

I read both. It's a strech to say they are the same, besides Gilgamesh is a distortion of the bible account. I know Gilgamesh was written first but that doesn't mean it's older

      January 12, 2014 at 10:31 pm |
      • Barcs

^How do you know which one is really a distortion of which? When the ice age ended around 10,000 BC there were isolated floods and severe weather patterns all over the world. It's no surprise that legends were written about them. There are hundreds of flood myths. There was also likely an impact event that caused flooding around 7000 BC, as based on ice core samples, the earth experienced a mini warming period, followed by a mini ice age. There was also tons of debris in the samples during those years which suggests a very dusty atmosphere reminiscent of a nuclear winter, which you would expect after an asteroid / comet impact. World wide flood is a misnomer. THEIR world was flooded, so to them it seemed world wide, but was obviously not. Comets can also carry sea water and raise ocean levels.

        January 13, 2014 at 1:55 pm |
        • Blip

I'm actually starting to research the two stories a little more in depth, and you're absolutely correct. In fact, by most accounts, even Gilgamesh is a compilation of various older poems. Since it is patently impossible to have had an ark the size it says it was to hold 2 of every kind of animal along with the numerous other claims that simply don't fly.

I'm letting this distract me from Hope's original comment though, or rather her answer to King of Darkness in answering the 'why' god made it flood...

Wasn't it because god basically wanted a 'do-over' since people were so bad?

          January 13, 2014 at 2:09 pm |
        • King of Darkness

Exactly. God wanted a do over, despite being called omniscient. Obviously he's not omniscient or he would have avoided that entire ordeal and made humans less susceptible to negative emotions. I mean why couldn't he have revealed himself to the people, demonstrated his power and showed them why to follow him? I mean if god showed up and showed his powers to me I'd become an instant follower. Especially if he did something like caused a mini flood to scare the folks straight. Nobody would be stupid enough to disobey that after a warning. Or could have also just snapped his fingers and removed the negative emotions or lightened their hearts so to speak. For an all powerful, all knowing god, he sure took the easy (and violent) way out. Just kill em all, great solution by a great god that loves us all! 😆

          Blip,

I believe it says somewhere that 7 of some kinds of animals were taken aboard the ark. Which makes it even worse!

          January 13, 2014 at 5:10 pm |
        • King of Darkness

That ark must have had a super charged engine unlike anything we've seen. I mean Noah would have had to go to South America, Africa, Asia, Australia, and even Antarctica to collect various creatures and then after the flood he'd have to drop them all back off. In the mean time he'd have to feed them for 100 days which is a problem for the carnivores. Unless this ark was a spaceship with a huge artificial jungle section along with the other important climates on earth, it's pretty impossible.

The Ten Commandments became the basis of Roman law after 350 CE. Subsequently, it was the basis of law in the Holy Roman Empire. Together with Anglo-Saxon law the Ten Commandments influence English and American law. Other legal codes simply do not compare to this real impact on our legal system. For instance, President Clinton was charged with giving false witness to Congress in impeachment proceedings, not adultery. Congress let him off the hook.

      Ten Commandments:
1: Have no other gods – NOT A LAW
2: Make no graven image – NOT A LAW
3: Don’t take the name in vain – NOT A LAW
4: Honor the Sabbath – NOT A LAW
5: Honor thy father and mother – NOT A LAW
6: Thou shalt not kill – NOT UNIQUE TO CHRISTIANITY (long pre-dated it)
7: Thou shalt not commit adultery – huge number of Christians commit adultery by LEGALLY remarrying
8: Thou shalt not steal – NOT UNIQUE TO CHRISTIANITY
9: Thou shalt not bear false witness – NOT UNIQUE TO CHRISTIANITY
10: Thou shalt not covet – NOT A LAW

Asserting that our laws have any real historic connection to the ten commandments is just an absurd, disingenuous smokescreen. Not one of our laws is uniquely based on them. If we had a law to honor the Sabbath or prohibiting graven images then there might be a case to be made, but laws against stealing, murder, and false testimony are found throughout the world. How does one establish that they must have come from the ten commandments?

          Adam,

You do have a point there, but there's nothing in the Bible condemning drinking on Sunday. Some churches even pass out wine on Sundays so you can pretend you are drinking Jesus' blood.

        • doobzz

Blue laws existed against many things, not just alcohol sales.

"The first blue law in the American colonies was enacted in Virginia in 1617. It required church attendance and authorized the militia to force colonists to attend church services.

          January 12, 2014 at 11:39 am |
        • King of Darkness

Those laws are hilarious. They are enforced in a town by town basis, so you know if you live in a town like that it is run by religious zealots that force their religion into laws. What's even funnier is that you can buy beer, just not hard liquor in most places like that. So you are allowed to get drunk on the Sabbath, you're just not allowed to do it quickly. I never understood the point in those laws. They should be removed as per separation of church and state, but religious people in positions of power don't care about the concepts that our country was founded on and care more about their personal belief system.

Common sense tells us that laws prohibiting murder and theft would predate the recording of the story of the ten commandments, but even the Bible supports that the Egyptians must have had a law against murder beforehand, since Moses had to flee after killing an Egyptian.

Can someone please explain to me why Christianity does not consider Satan to be a god? Fine, he's a lesser god than "God" (and let's not get started with the whole three gods in one bit right now), but he seems to fit the definition: "one of several deities, especially a male deity, presiding over some portion of worldly affairs. " (dictionary.com). Kind of reminds me of the Norse god Loki.

    January 11, 2014 at 7:54 am |
    • Saraswati

The Judeo-Christian-Islamic approach to "god" is a little odd. When talking about other religions, such as Hinduism, Greek mythology or Norse gods they are happy to use the term god to refer to all the powerful beings controling or influencing the acts of man. If a greek god gave birth to or created another grand being, that was a god.

But the Abrahamic traditions really couldn't make up their minds. Is there just one god, or many? So the words for these enti.ties mixed between cultures and got quite confused.

Yes, Satan, and possibly all angels and jinn are "gods" by many linguistic standards. It's just that out of traditions Christians want to have it bith ways. By their strictest claimed definition the average Christian would have to stop referring to most of the greek pantheon as gods.

    • Andy

"and let's not get started with the whole three gods in one bit right now"

But that also addresses your question. Christians are so hung up on being able to insist that their religion only has one god that they're determined that even the three they acknowledge are really just all part of one. Never mind that they want to have it both ways, though, and always refer to the great "sacrifice" god the "father" somehow made with his "son" Jesus (a la John 3:16)–sounds like very separate ent.ities to me. So they couldn't possibly admit that Satan is also a god.

"They used to worship golden calves, graven images, the Sun etc"

Well, if they're not real then what's the real concern? Why care if someone offers worship to them or makes a graven image of them? The god of the Bible explains it as "for I the LORD your God am a jealous God", which implies that there are in fact other gods that he is jealous of.

        • Barcs

I still believe to this day that "god" as described in the bible is a mistranslation. If anything he was a ruler or a group of rules in charge of various regions, not a deity. He is divinified because he ruled with an iron fist, and many leaders of the old days were believed to be at least part divine. Read the bible, it makes perfect sense. If he is the sole ruler in the area, he expects complete loyalty and cooperation. He expects that you are faithful to him, and not to other rulers, it's almost like patriotism. It becomes blatantly obvious later in the bible as well that there isn't just one guy known as god, there are a bunch (Jehovah, Yahweh, etc). Even in the original genesis 1:26 he says "Let US make man in OUR image, in OUR likeness". If it were just god he wouldn't use words like that. Some speculate that he is talking about angels, but I'd think that angels were created more in god's likeness than humans, but again, why are angels assisting in creating humans when god can just snap his fingers and make them out of dirt? Genesis is a book that's about loyalty to your leader and nothing more. The great flood was used as a scare tactic.

          January 13, 2014 at 2:08 pm |
      • Adam

Yeah, John 3:16 is totally meaningless if you also insist that the father and son were both part of the same group god.

        January 11, 2014 at 10:11 pm |
        • Barcs

Ya know I've never understood that part of Christianity. Why did god have to incarnate himself into a human and suffer and die to save humanity from sin, something that god created. The whole thing doesn't make the least bit of sense. He's supposed to be an all powerful god, why would he even have to do that? Why created humans a certain way, when you already know you will have to brand them all sinners because of one guy and eventually drown everyone in a flood? Why not just created them right the first time? God is supposed to be omniscient, but his actions hardly dictate that at all.

          January 13, 2014 at 2:13 pm |
        • Nester

@Barqs. I'm not a Christian, but my understanding of their doctrine is that God created humans with free will, which allows us to sin if we want to. Sin must be cleansed through sacrifice or the sinner goes to Hell. Christ sacrificed himself in place of all sinners who accept Him as Savior: he had to become part human to do this in order to experience the pain and loss necessary for the sacrifice to be meaningful.

Could God have made humans with a little less free will, so that all of this is unnecessary? Much has been written and little settled on this: the trilemma of Epicurus is a starting point.

Many monotheist view God more in the "God is everything", not a corporal being. "Gods" in polytheistic religions function more as what many monothiests would concider "Angels"... so to answer your question: "Satan" in monotheistic religions is not the polar antagonistic equality to "God" but a synthisized (created) being that rebeled.

      January 11, 2014 at 10:27 am |
    • what next?

Satan is not, and never was a god. He was an Archangel named Lucifer / Light [angel meaning 'messenger' of God. He rebelled against God - denied Him - and became an outcast in eternal darkness, evil and damnation.

He was a pathetic FAILURE as an angel and hates God for it.
He has been snaring willing fools into evil ever since Eden.
But the difference is that GOD loves without reservation those who love Him and live within His laws. People CHOOSE to deny God and they place themselves in Hell.
To say God "sends people to hell" is to shuffle off personal responsibility and put the blame for ones failures on someone els!
Satan is hate personified. He only wants losers like himself to score points over God. When he's got them in hell he spits on them!

Deuteronomy 13:6 – “If your brother, your mother’s son or your son or daughter, or the wife you cherish, or your friend who is as your own soul entice you secretly, saying, let us go and serve other gods … you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death”

          1 Timothy 2:11
"Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor."

Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

          Leviticus 25
44 “‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves.
45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property.
46 You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.

Note that the bible is also very clear that you should sacrifice and burn an animal today because the smell makes sicko Christian sky fairy happy. No, you don't get to use the parts for food. You burn them, a complete waste of the poor animal.

Yes, the bible really says that, everyone. Yes, it's in Leviticus, look it up. Yes, Jesus purportedly said that the OT commands still apply. No exceptions. But even if you think the OT was god's mistaken first go around, you have to ask why a perfect, loving enti-ty would ever put such horrid instructions in there. If you think rationally at all, that is.

And then, if you disagree with my interpretation, ask yourself how it is that your "god" couldn't come up with a better way to communicate than a book that is so readily subject to so many interpretations and to being taken "out of context", and has so many mistakes in it. Pretty pathetic god that you've made for yourself.

So get out your sacrificial knife or your nasty sky creature will torture you eternally. Or just take a closer look at your foolish supersti-tions, understand that they are just silly, and toss them into the dustbin with all the rest of the gods that man has created.

Ask the questions. Break the chains. Join the movement.
Be free of Christianity and other superstitions.

I have read the entire bible cover to cover on more than one occasion. You're going to say the people were evil and disobeying god. I mean, why not appear to the people, demonstrate his power and show them the right path? Instead he just gives up and kills em all. Does that seem like the action of a benevolent loving being? Yeah I've read stories and seen movies like that and 99.9% of the time it's referring to an evil dictator.

I fully support the statue. If Christians can put their fictional literary figures memorials on public property, then satanists can too. I think it's only fair. While we are at it, I worship Culvers cheese curds. Can we get a giant statue of the cheese curd on the steps of the Wisconsin capital building? If visit it yearly like a pilgrimage to Mecca.

It's kind of difficult to follow them when your presidents and leaders don't even take "Thou shalt not kill" seriously. I mean how many people have been sent overseas to die in a war? Thou shalt not kill is pretty straight forward. There is no asterisk that says, "unless your government says you have to" or "unless they are a witch" or "unless they follow different religions".

Governments controlled by humanity is never going to be perfect, there always going to be wars and rumor of wars. Someone say they believe something does that person trully 100% do so? No one is a mind reader. My opinion the ten commandments acts as moral compass that we should strive for, but to throw it out casually and make fun of is a mistake. Imagine in a world where everyone follow the commandments, there will be no wars, no broken hearts, and respectful to one another.

You know, believe it or not, that's what Muslim's boast about the Quran too. If *everyone* on Earth followed it, they say there would be no wars, no broken hearts, with everyone respectful.

We have countries where *everyone* believes it and we can sure see how that works out...

For centuries we had countries in Europe who were totally Christian and we see how that worked out too.

Nice summary, observer. It is always greatly disturbing to me when Christians in the US go on about our Christian legal system, making quite clear they know nothing bout either our own system or the laws and rules in non-Christian civilizations around the world. Ignorance is a scary thing.

Why don't you go ask that question in Uganda? Uganda is where Joseph Kony, and his organization, The Lord's Resistance Army, tried to take over and set up a society based on The Ten Commandments. Oh BTW, he's wanted internationally now for Crimes Against Humanity.

Just because its not a law/pre-dated, doesn't mean one should throw away casually and with mockery something that inspire us to become a better person, family, son, and neighbor etc. to something carnal and self mentality. In regards to pre-dated, do you know for certainty that's not inspired by God? Or as a way to prepare for Christianity?

In regards to Europe, from renaissance to racial equality, is not a positive thing? Then again, just because someone misuse Christianity religion for his/her own gain(control away from papacy, excuses to right rule masses etc.), does that mean Christianity is inherit bad.

Remember, folks. Lucifer didn't create hell. He was banished there by Jehovah. Jehovah created the torture chamber known as hell. Think about it. If he sent Lucifer there, how exactly is it that Lucifer can still allegedly interfere with the world? How did he tempt Adam while trapped in hell? It's a grand deception. The bible is the antichrist. Lucifer saw Jehovah's evil ways of committing mass murder and condoning torture and slavery and decided to rebel against him to force a regime change. He failed and was blackballed and sent to be tortured for his defiance. Loving beings do not create torture chambers. The sooner you guys realize this, the sooner we can work towards peace rather than fighting over fabricated ancient stories about Jehovah's reign of terror over the earth that enslaved humanity for hundreds of thousands of years.

Also this, remember the movie "The Devi's advocate" with Keanu Reeves, and in it he blows fire at this demon, but it doesn't actually hurt the demon, because demons, ifritz, jinn and all of that are basically made of fire? Well there you go. Maybe hell isn't a torture chamber in the eyes of them, maybe to them it is a day spa.

well that's half the reason why i rebelled, i wont lie to you,.. their was a selfish side,.. that Prick did kill my wife and child,.. he was so pissed that a brought home a human, he did not care how much i loved her he had to go all fire and brimstone on me. he could not have his perfect creation (us angels) defile them selves with such shit(humans),.. his words folks not mine. so i'm like fuck you dad I'm taking the woman i love and moving to tahiti. then what does that infant do? he take his rage out on Azezal and Ose for having children and doing the same thing. then he start hunting my frieds down one by one so i'm like "oh fuck that!" its war. seriously hes the worst deadbeat dad ever.

oh and Oh honey please the devils advocate is a fictional story. we angels are made in the fire, demons come from a cold dark place. and that's why the love to cuddle♥

It is a sign of the end of days that such things are becoming popular and accepted as normal. There is a price to pay for such ungodliness. Thankfully the State Legislators have the strength of mind to refuse such an application. If these proponents were ever to see Satan face to face they would cringe and wail and scream and beg for God to save them from his evil. Sadly for some of them it will be too late when they pass from this mortal life and will be subject to the evil of hell as they have chosen that path themselves. They will have all of eternity to reflect on their folly. I pray they will turn away from the evil path they are on while they are still able to do so. Reject even the very appearance of evil.

      Angels would be terrifying period!
They're supposedly 20 feet tall, have 4 wings with human hands under each one. They've got the faces of cherub, a man, an eagle, and a lion and, for some reason, 4 wheels on their bodies.
Every part of them is covered in eyeballs – from the tips of their 20 fingertips to the hubs of their 4 wheels....
Cerubs are scary, no matter what Hallmark puts on Valentine's day cards.

      Good thing they're imaginary!

        Good one, Doc!

Yes, the angel lore is astonishing. @what next?'s reference to Star Wars creatures highlights the subject.

That these fantasy creatures, dreamed up by ancient writers are taken to be real is astonishing.
        (read about these characters http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_angelic_hierarchy)

I keep being reminded of the movie "Galaxy Quest", where a far-distant alien culture received broadcasts of a Star Trek-like TV series, thought that the stories were real, and built their whole society around the scripts and worshipped the hero characters!

You think that they are prophetic? Do you know how many other ancient cultures have panoplies of grotesque fantastical creatures in their lore? If we played enough with their features, we could show parallels with all sorts of modern things: we could get Lakshmi, the 4-armed Indian goddess to be predictive of computer-assisted surgery; or fire-breathing dragons to foretell flamethrowers used as weaponry or in firefighting or even welding torches. There are thousands of these types of creatures from man's wild imaginations; and apparently equally wild imaginations that think that they can hook them up with reality.

3:35 – [Mention, O Muhammad], when the wife of 'Imran said, "My Lord, indeed I have pledged to You what is in my womb, consecrated [for Your service], so accept this from me. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing."

3:36 – But when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allah was most knowing of what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allah ]."

mzh, more than empty apology is needed. Penance must be done, and done so deeply. Vigorous spanking of backside of yourself and closely adjacent imam must be performed immediately and with appropriate proximities.

It is written, no more shall prodigious humping of imams and goats be accomplished without sanctified vestal goats present. We have ready goats present nearby in Tehran to satisfy said requirements. Prepare yourself for red posteriority and take the appropriate stance.
