Angry birds! Pope's peace doves attacked

By Daniel Burke, Belief Blog Co-editor

(CNN) Talk about your angry birds.

A crow and a seagull attacked two white doves released by children standing next to Pope Francis on Sunday at St. Peter's Square. The birds of prey swooped down after the "peace" doves flew from the open window in the Apostolic Palace.

One dove broke free from the gull, after losing a few feathers in the fray. A crow pecked the other before both doves escaped and flew away. Their ultimate fate is unknown.

Thankfully, the Pope and children had walked away before the fly-by birding.

Doves as Judeo-Christian symbols of peace date back to biblical times. In the Book of Genesis, a dove returns to the ark-maker Noah with an olive branch, letting him know that the flood had receded.

In the New Testament, the Holy Spirit descends "like a dove" on Jesus after his baptism, according to the Gospel of Matthew. Centuries of Christian art thereafter have use doves to symbolize the third member of the Holy Trinity, along with God and Jesus.

Just before releasing the doves, the Pope had offered prayers for Ukraine, the site of pitched civil strife, and some say the dove-attack portends poorly for Eastern European nation.

Others took a more humorous approach.

Crows and seagulls have evolved as hunters from their dinosaur ancestors. Doves evolved from analogous ancestors but as seed and bug eaters.

Even the RCC is a believer in evolution !! Maybe they need to pay a bit more attention to it.

There is already a small-scale Antichrist. His name is Fethullah Gülen, he even lives in America.

Gülen is an Islamic Imam who wants to spread a moderate Islam or a modern Islam (very seductive).

However, this man es an outrageous enemy of Jesus Christ, the incarnated Son of God, but the pope welcomes him.

The pope is a traitor of genuine Christianity otherwise he would not welcome an Imam as legitimate religious leader.

Further Gülen is supported by a lot of Turkish companies. Through his enormous support Gülen is able to influence Western societies.

The Wicked will also be welcomed by the stupid pope, and he will not only be supported by some backward Turks but by a big group of Global Players.

Of course, it is nearly impossible to make statements about point in times and period of times. Only when I look at the awful state of nearly all churches (nearly all churches turn apostate), and the spread of gay relationships, I assume that the Antichrist is close by.

Apostasy of nearly all churches is a sure sign that the Wicked will come soon.

I really don't want Christians to see in this event terrible atheist birds attacking pure white doves of the Holy Spirit. They identify too closely with symbols and signs as it is. Remember, Christians, most of us only criticise, and only a few are verbally abusive, usually only mildly so. No one is going to peck at your eyes.

EVEN THE BIRDS SEE THROUGHT THE VENEER

    Abolish Religion?
“If ways cannot be found to insulate politics and statecraft from religion, consideration [should] be given to abolishing religion itself.” So suggests author John Bartlow Martin, a former ambassador, writing in USA Today. Mentioning religion’s dominance in such past events as the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition, its divisive force today and the bloodshed and unrest caused by modern “apostles of zealotry,” Mr. Martin says: “If one watches the evening television news, one cannot but be struck by how much of the world’s trouble is rooted in religion. And few secular political rivalries ever generate the bloodthirsty fervor of religious war.”
Jehovah God, too, has taken note of the “bloodthirsty” ways of false religion. Calling it Babylon the Great, his Word foretells the annihilation of false religion at the hands of the political powers—this as the harbinger of the complete destruction of the present wicked system of things. While Mr. Martin states that the realization of his suggestion to abolish religion is ‘probably impossible,’ God assures us that His just decision against false religion will be carried out.—Revelation 17:1-6, 15-17; 18:4, 5.

(Revelation 17:1-6) And one of the seven angels that had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying: “Come, I will show you the judgment upon the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, whereas those who inhabit the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” 3 And he carried me away in [the power of the] spirit into a wilderness. And I caught sight of a woman sitting upon a scarlet-colored wild beast that was full of blasphemous names and that had seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and was adorned with gold and precious stone and pearls and had in her hand a golden cup that was full of disgusting things and the unclean things of her fornication. 5 And upon her forehead was written a name, a mystery: “Babylon the Great, the mother of the harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth.” 6 And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. Well, on catching sight of her I wondered with great wonderment.

15 And he says to me: “The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues. 16 And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. 17 For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out [their] one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished.

4 And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if YOU do not want to share with her in her sins, and if YOU do not want to receive part of her plagues. 5 For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind

3 For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.”

        Luke

” 21 In that very hour he became overjoyed in the holy spirit and said: “I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have carefully hidden these things from wise and intellectual ones, and have revealed them to babes.

1 Cor. 1:19-25: “It is written: ‘I will make the wisdom of the wise men perish, and the intelligence of the intellectual men I will shove aside.’ Where is the wise man? Where the scribe? Where the debater of this system of things? Did not God make the wisdom of the world foolish? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through its wisdom did not get to know God, God saw good through the foolishness [as it appears to the world] of what is preached to save those believing. . . . Because a foolish thing of God [as the world views it] is wiser than men, and a weak thing of God [as the world may see it] is stronger than men.

        2 peter 3:3

3 For YOU know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? The End is nigh!
The ancient prophecies are being fulfilled!

"The age of evil has come to the world . Everyone steals and hoards great wealth, and sensual sin rules the day. The end of the world is at hand – yet men are hard and cruel, and listen not to the doom that is coming . No one heeds the cries of his neighbour, or lifts a hand to save."

I believe in God, but your argument is invalid. You are saying there is a God. You are required to prove there is a God. So whoever makes the assertion that god exists needs to prove it. To give you a more everyday example: I want a mortgage. I tell the bank that I have a job, and get paid X. The bank asks me to prove that I have a job and get paid X. See I made the claim, I have to prove it.

Some editorial oversight, please! Gulls and crows are not "birds of prey". Neither one hunts anything. They are scavengers. Less personification, more research and better proof-reading please! Crows can be aggressive, granted, but do not prey on other birds, or animals – ever.

      From a different source:

The attackers — a hooded crow, which was mostly silver with black head and wings, and a yellow-legged gull — are opportunistic feeders that eat almost anything.

Lacking speed and talons, they’re not well-equipped to go after flying prey, which is probably why the doves got away. What gasping onlookers saw in the square was a flying circus, two incompetent predators attacking two clueless doves and coming up short.

Hey Topher and L4H here is a lesson for home schooling .

300,000-year-old hearth found: Microscopic evidence shows repeated fire use in one spot over time
        Date:
        January 27, 2014
        Source:
        Weizmann Inst-itute of Science
        Summary:
When did humans really begin to control fire and use it for their daily needs? Scientists discovered in the Qesem Cave, an archaeological site near present-day Rosh Ha'ayin, the earliest evidence - dating to around 300,000 years ago - of unequivocal repeated fire building over a continuous period. These findings help answer the question and hint that those prehistoric humans already had a highly advanced social structure and intellectual capacity.

I guess the meaning of that drama is the following:

The pope prays for peace but he himself is a wolf (in sheep's clothing).

How can a wolf, a predator, pray for peace? Will God answer such a prayer?

The pope uses religion as a smoke screen for his malice (greed for honor, power and riches).

I am sure, if the Wicked would emerge today, the pope would welcome him as the messiah who could provide information about the true religion which will be the "perfection" of all previous religions.

Of course, this would mean war against the age-old God and his true Messiah Jesus who is not wicked but holy and sinless, meek and humble. Jesus, the holy lamb of God who died and resurrected for us, and will come to judge the quick and the dead.

As today age-old (divine) orders are reversed the advent of the Antichrist (the Wicked) is imminent, I assume.

"Children, it is the last hour! As you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. From this we know that it is the last hour."
      – 1 John 2:18

Hey waitaminute! Doesn't that mean the "last hour" was 2,000 years ago?

        Indeed, the "last hour" = 2000 years + x.

But when I see how gay relationships are promoted today worldwide, I must say that this unique in history. God has always endured a lot of sins of the mankind but always when it came to gayness God started to judge. St. Paul says when the age-old orders are revised the advent of the Wicked is imminent.

          Ho.mo/se.xuality "promoted" world wide?
There are more than 75 countries in the world with anti-ho/mose/xual laws.

Cultural acceptance of gay people is not unprecented.
Ancient Greece and Rome as well as many indiginous American cultures had no problems with it, for example.

How does God judge the animal kingdom, given that there are other animal species that exhibit same-gender attraction and behavior?

"St. Paul says when the age-old orders are revised the advent of the Wicked is imminent."

And there's your problem right there. "St." Paul – the worst thing to happen to Jesus since the crucifixtion.

Doc – Elvis Presley was the anti-christ? Oprah? And Bill Gates? I wonder the rational for..... Oh. Never mind. People who believe in all that are not capable of logical deduction. Thanks for the laugh, Doc.

Elvis' pelvic gyrations were downright Satanic.
Oprah's inhuman command of America's housewives is obviously the result of a deal with The Devil.
If you ever used Windows ME and/or Vista, you KNOW how evil Gates and his minions are.
