Washington (CNN) - Flanked by Jewish politicians in front of the United Nations on a July day, then-Sen. Hillary Clinton made a forceful appeal for the United States to back Israel as the Jewish nation's forces squared off against Hezbollah during the 2006 Lebanon War.
"We will stand with Israel because Israel is standing for American values as well as Israeli ones," said Clinton, who was an outspoken defender of Israel and representative for American Jews for eight years in the Senate.
But it wasn't always that way. She had to work hard for Jewish support in 2000 as the New York Jewish community was skeptical of her support for Israel and publicly wondered whether the former first lady was too sympathetic with the Palestinians.
But by the time she ran for president in 2008, a number of Jewish Democrats said her record with the community was unprecedented. Touting her foreign policy credentials and defense of Israel, Jewish leaders flocked to Clinton as she ran against Barack Obama in the Democratic primaries.
Ca ca ca Ca Combo breaker!
Clinton and Jews? Oh it is not Bill. Its her. Ah. Bill was the hamburger guy. I cannot say anything about I never really met an American Jew at all.
Please do not respond to Salero21, if we ignore this obvious troll and attention seeker, maybe it will go away.
Let me see, this is a Blog about Belief, and I'm a believer, but an extremely hypocritical and compulsive liar atheist wants me to go away, just because. Now is that Total stupidity or what?
No doubt about it, atheism is Absolute, complete and Total stupidity!! ;-)
Money and religion:
"The median net worth of people believing in Judaism is calculated at 150,890 USD, while the median net worth of conservative Protestants (including Baptists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh-day Adventists, Christian Scientists) was found at 26,200 USD.["
Now we know why Hillary supports Israel.
Whaaat!! More Evidence on top of more Evidence of the Total stupidity of atheism.
I take it your median income is 26,200?
So we have Hillary here on the belief blog, but not this much more interesting Op Ed:
Contrasting the results from a Gallup Poll on religiousity:
Whaaat!! More and more Evidence on top of more Evidence that atheism is indeed Total stupidity. ;-) :-D So not only men of reason and reasonable men but also reasonable women understand that atheism is Total stupidity. Wow!!
So you are the one they call...."Salero21"
Some have called you vile...
You troll about; having fun no doubt...
but you are lacking in your style...
Take a pioneering turn through an atheistic tunnel and see what the cat dragged in.
It won’t be very subtle, but keep it on ice and no one will smell your sin.
CS, meet S21. The one schtick pony.
What is the difference between "stupidity" and total stupidity??
A capitalized 'T' , apparently.
The difference is the same as between Akira and CS
As you've never answered CS's question, your post is meaningless.
Yes, the stupidity of atheism is Absolute, complete and Total. ;-)
...and what was the point in bring Hillary over here?
Three giants tower over their children;
Tumbling rocks over an ancient river bed;
Bright green moss connecting root and boulder;
Branches reaching out in every direction to drink each drop of light;
A spreading canopy over a pristine patch of forest, this is God’s face.
“In the bible it says you have to forgive seventy times seven. I want you all to know, I'm keeping a chart.”
Former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton
political propaganda. How do you not see this?
Or are you going to argue that politicians keep their promisses? as long as you put them in the right context and understand what they were really saying??
Annex the West Bank...Crimea is part of Russia....6 of one, 1/2 dozen.....
The whole land of Israel consists of the land from river Egypt (Wadi Al Arish) as far as the river Euphrates, all the land of Canaan (Gen. 15:18-21, Gen. 17:8) The land and its boundaries can also be found in: Exodus 23:31, Numbers 34:1-15, Deuteronomy 1:7-8. Both Shemites and Ishmaelites claim Abraham as their father, so why is there contestation over the land? I never got that.
I don't think he meant to say "anex the entire land known to the jews 3000 years ago".
...just being thorough.
Boundaries. What is mine. Divisive and destructive. The ultimate goal is to eliminate boundaries.
Do you want your neighbor to come over and use your bathroom?
Should we anticipate an article from the political columns reposted here everytime a possible 2016 candidate meets with a religious congregation?
At least she didn't meet with the pope.
ONLY because she won't receive any contributions from him.
Hey, if it saves us from another article about Pope Look-at-me-I'm-humble...
I wonder if Hillary will get to meet with Billy Graham?
I get your drift. You mean as a President, I presume.
Not exactly Vic.
I'm not sure that the Rev. Graham will live as long as 2017, whether Hillary makes it back to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue or not.
My comment was more ironically intended and reflected the very staged fund/support raising meeting between Rev. Graham and then-candidate Mitt Romney that was orchestrated by Franklin Graham to sway evangelicals who might have historically viewed Mormonism as a cult.
Somehow I don't think Franklin will put out the welcome mat for Hillary.
I had the same thing in mind up front regarding longevity. Aside from that, it has been customary that every U.S. President met with Billy Graham since he became well-known.
I wonder if Hillary will get to meet with Fred Phelps?
I don't think Fred Phelps could help with very many votes, do you?
Oh God, no!
As Hillary Clinton puts it, "no way, no how."
I find Billy Graham far more offensive than Phelps, and on so many levels.

Jesus Christ Is The Solution, The Epitome Of World Piece
"14 I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, 15 even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. 17 For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again. 18 No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment I received from My Father.”"
"14 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, 15 by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, 16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity."

"Jesus Christ Is The Solution, The Epitome Of World Peace"
But I thought He was supposedly 'not of this world', how can He be the epitome of any aspect of the "world"?
During the 2008 Presidential Primaries, I had no doubt in my mind that Hilary Clinton was going to win the Democratic Nomination.
Just like you have no doubt that Jesus is lord.
Amother lying politician who won't let morality get in the way of money from rich people.
This is one reason I'm not proud to be an American.
"It takes a village to raise a child."
Hilary Rodham Clinton
That was not originally her quote,
and what does that have to do with my post??
Credit where credit is due. She spoke of and included that quote in one of her books. She advocates it.
Are you really that blind? She is a politician. The only 2 reasons she wrote that book were to make money and to make herself more popular. She is selling US foreign policy to the highest bidder. We could drop bombs and fight wars because of who is contributing to campaigns.
How do you read 'morals' into any of this???
This is not about cynicism, this about common grounds.
Are you really okay with the idea that our politicians are for sale, or are you indenial that it happens?
Let's put it this way:
I believe in American ideals, and I don't bank on cynicism.
That would be denial.
Good point but we should always be proud to be an american. I believe most or open minded americans could see what you just mentioned.
We stand with Israel! Genesis 12:3
We stand with Hoboken! Hudson Reporter
We stand with Fredonia! Katzenjammer Press
Follow you, follow me Genesis 19:78
You are a great example of why atheists follow blogs like this.
2000 year old texts is not the way to run foreign policy!
Support Israel or don't , but not because of your translated, interpreted, "scripture" tells you to.
People should be free to stand with whoever they wish as long as they don't end up in a loony bin.
Unfortunately, the responses to the OP is a clear indication they are headed in that direction.
And, foreign policies are not shaped by your personal opinions; your two cents worth in dong is noted for whatever it's worth.
Let not your heart be troubled.
Many Christians support and advocate that. That's what CUFI (Christians United For Israel) is for.
But isn't it a bit hypocritical to support Isreal, not for the jews and their beliefs, but because the re-founding of their nation is a part of christian theology (and one of the best examples of self-fulfilling prophecies to boot)?
