Tennessee mosque opens its doors to counter protests
A mosque outside Nashville, Tennessee, recently opened its doors to the community to help ease concerns over a proposed 52,000-square-foot Islamic center, according to CNN affiliate WKRN. People of all faiths gathered at the open house, supporting the message of religious tolerance. But the proposed center is not sitting well with two Congressional candidates who issued statements explaining their concerns. Full story

I worship no human who has ever walked on this earth and will never do so. To do so is idolitry. Everyone is bing told by the Muslims that they will put a loving piecefull face on. However just like fanatical Christians what goes on behind closed doors is something totally different. No religion should be forced upon anyone. Every single person in the USA has the right to believe or even not beleive and not other person can tell them different. In the end there will be a great battle and when the battle is over all religions will loose for only the free will survive!
This church is not being placed in christianica... its being placed in America.. land of the free.. land of tolerance and freedom of religion. Christians at one point in time came to america FOR RELIGIOUS TOLERANCE. Why do they feel the need to use god to take that very tolerance away from everyone else?
America is for americans. Jews Muslims, Christians.. i dont care if you want to worship a toaster and call yourself a proctersilexist. This is america, get over yourselves. And i say this as a god fearing Christian that doesnt use god as a weapon to bring everyone else down.
The kids at my church organized a fund raiser to help the members of the community last year. This year they are helping to send a few kids in the community to summer camp.
Can they be open to "liking" faith because of these acts? There were 11 terrorist, I count that we had about 20+ kids.

Google the verses yourselves and see what is said. There are verses in the Bible that pertain to war, just as they do in Islam and the Quran. Out of the oppression and terrorism that Christians have committed, I still know what the Bible and Christians are truly suppose to stand for. You obviously have hate in your system and it needs to be expelled. Go to your local mosque and ask for a Quran. You will receive one free. Read it front to back, doesn't take long. Then let's have an intelligent conversation about religion.

It is against the Islamic religion to commit suicide or to kill innocent people. These ingrates who commit these acts of terror against innocent people are cowards and an extremely small minority within the Islamic religion. There is radicalism in every religion. The media chooses to only cover the extremely small percentage of Muslims who act in this manner. I guarantee you that there are hundreds of millions of Muslims around the world who you would consider to be decent, upright, and moral people. You would probably love their company. We have to stop judging one another, and get to know each other.

What about all the terrorism and oppression that has been committed under the umbrella of Christianity? European colonization of almost the entire world, slavery of over 50 million Africans for 400 years, Ku Klux Klan, the Holocaust, the Nazi regime, the many radical Christian militias and racist terrorist groups? They all fall under the umbrella of Christianity.

How could you know that without reading a page of the bible? The actions of christians indicate otherwise, as do the words of the bible. Nowhere does the bible say "and thou shalt share the world with those of other faiths, and allow them to worship as they choose". It says "thou shall have no other gods before me", and that is what christians preach and demand.
Christians have hurt peace loving people time and time agian through out history. How many wars were in the name of god? Wasnt the bible twisted to support slavery? Most slave owners were good christians werent they? Didnt Christianity get used to frame ppl as witches at one time? Was is Christian Morales that slaughtered the indians for land?

People really need to read and stop being ignorant. Reality, read the Quran in its entirety before you make comments. Majority of Muslims are decent human beings like Christians and Jews. If you really read the Quran, you would know that the Quran is nothing but a continuation of the teachings of the Torah and Bible. Muslims view Islam as the "icing on the cake" to the ORIGINAL TEACHINGS of the Torah and Bible. Not the fabricated stuff. Muslims worship the same being that Prophet Moses, Abraham, Noah, Jesus, Lot, Enoch, and Muhammad worshipped, Allah. Allah is only the Arabic word for "God", The Creator of the Heavens and Earth, the creator of Adam and Eve.
