Israeli settlers revise ancient prayer for Obama-Netanyahu meeting A portion of the revised prayer in Hebrew, from the Facebook page of the group My Israel. CNN's Izzy Lemberg sends this report on from Jerusalem: The main umbrella group of Jewish settlers in the West Bank, the Yesha Council of Communities in Judea and Samaria, has added controversial new language to an ancient prayer that it will distribute to synagogues in advance of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Tuesday meeting with President Barack Obama in Washington. The traditional Wayfarers prayer is recited by observant Jews when traveling on long journeys. The Yesha Council’s version of the prayer asks God to grant Netanyahu the strength to say "enough already" regarding what it calls pressure to make concessions in the Mideast peace process. The prayer goes on to say that the summit in Washington should be an awakening for Jews that "we have no other nation". The Director General of the Yesha Council, Naftali Bennet, said the new prayer is partly satirical but that it has a serious message. "The Israeli public feels that President Obama is coercing Netanyahu and Israel into concessions that are risking the very existence of Israel," he said. When asked why he was bringing religion into a political context Bennet told CNN "The land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people for four thousand years by the most fundamental book in the world—the Bible.”

As long as Israel is collecting billions of dollars from the US every year, they can damn well listen to our suggestions and advice. As for all the biblical nonsense, it's....well...nonsense and has nothing to do with the realities of politics in the middle east.
The Yesha Council of Communities in Judea and Samaria should add couple of more lines to the prayer that America should stop giving 80 to 100 billion dollars yearly in aids to the state of israel from the taxpayers of United States. The council have no choice in picking what they like and ignoring the rest – eiher both or none. No More Free DOLLAR add this to the revised prayer.

If Israel can do without our advice, they can do without our aid, financial or otherwise. If Judaism has no other nation than Israel, then it is foolish for the United States to support them.
Please note that Christianity, Islam and Judaism all share (yearn for) a similar apocalyptical fantasy of a final battle that decides the true belief.
And then understand that all three of these well armed faiths lay apocalyptical claims to the SAME TEMPLE MOUNT.
Understanding this, and witnessing the virulent hatreds that many hold for the existence of the tiny Jewish state, one should see Armageddon as an inescapable FATE, rather than merely a silly religious story.
Even those who never had the priviledge to open/ read the holy scriptures must have heard it told.
Israel belong to Israelites, not Arabs. Obama is a scholar and the scriptures are not strange to his ears/ eyes.

The history of God and men is infalible. Every one who went against God's statutes was never spared, what makes Obama toy with the thought that he will be spared?????
Interestingly enough the only part of the Bible, Torah and Koran that is actually reputed to be written by God himself is the Ten Commandments.
As far as I am aware the injunctive of "Thou shall not kill" does not carry the caveat unless they have a different religion.

Psalms 109 the lyrics of a song by David probably when he was persecuted by Saul. It opens with David sad that people are saying things about him that are not true. So he begins to curse the liars. I have done significant amount of information processing(have a masters degree) and have come to realize an information bearing statement has a weigthed rating of truth. If you think carefully, you would begin to get some idea of the rating of truth in a statement. The Psalm applies to those who hate others and lie about them. Think carefully if this applies to Obama?, if it does not, then the Psalm applies to you!

I like how Just Saying is ignorant enough to say that most Americans stand by Israel. Most Americans realize not every Arab person is responsible for 9/11, and everyone deserves to not worry about shelter, or where their next meal will come from, etc. America stands behind Israel only when it acts as a citizen of the world, otherwise when its a monster, like lately, then they are alone.
