I dont care what these other people say there is a God and Jesus did die for us . your brain dead if you cant see that . look at the world today and read revelation and tell me its not . and ya im a sinner to so what he for gives me. and i will walk by his side till the end .
the bible is just a bunch of stories about events that never happened and people who never existed.
Sorry all I missed something, are we saying that, if True that Jesus exist (walked the earth like you and I) it has to be true that God exist? I don't get it, is that the same as saying. since "X" exist then "Y" must exist although X and Y are not same. X was made of flesh,blood and bone, walked among us mare mortals, had daily interactions that we could understand. Y, whatever it is we could never hope to understand it (beyond space, time and reason). What am I missing other than faith?
I often wondered about Jesus, and some of the amazing things that he was supposed to have done. I mean he could make deaf people hear and give blind people 20/20 vision. He could make the lame walk perfectly and cure withered hands. He could walk on water and turn water into wine. He could take a few loaves and fishes and turn it into an all you can eat seafood fest. But the most impressive thing of all was that he could RAISE THE DEAD.
All of these feats are very impressive, but raising the dead certainly would win first prize. I was just curious, as incredible as these deeds were, why no one ever wrote about them until forty years after the “fact”, when they started writing the New Testament gospels. If someone raised the dead today, it would be the lead story on every news program all over the world. I think, in those days, the story would have made it back to the Roman Emperor, who controlled Judea at that time. If I were the Emperor, I think I’d want to have someone who could raise the dead living near me at the palace for obvious reasons. It’s a wonder that the Emperor didn’t fire Pontius Pilate. It seems like it was such a waste to execute someone with that kind of talent.

Excellent points!!! And where would Christianity be without Pontius Pilate aka one of the necessary accessories in "deifying" the simple preacher man.
Woody- Pilate was on thin ice with Caesar even before Jesus was crucified. The last thing Pilate needed was a riot in Jerusalem during Passover. And Caesar did later fire Pilate.

Reality: Thanks for the update! Sounds like an interesting fellow even if he is all wet. I didn't necessarily get all that first paragraph, but if he didn't believe in a bodily resurrection then he plainly didn't believe the BIble. Paul was quite a student of the Torah and the prophets, a Jew of Jews as it were. He wrote " 5Moses writes about receiving God’s approval by following his laws. He says, “The person who obeys laws will live because of the laws he obeys.” 6However, Scripture says about God’s approval which is based on faith, “Don’t ask yourself who will go up to heaven,” (that is, to bring Christ down). 7“Don’t ask who will go down into the depths,” (that is, to bring Christ back from the dead). 8However, what else does it say? “This message is near you. It’s in your mouth and in your heart.” This is the message of faith that we spread. 9If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved. 10By believing you receive God’s approval, and by declaring your faith you are saved. 11Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be ashamed.” Romans chapter 10 (GW)

One glaring and potential problem, Moses, as per 1.5 million Conservative Jews and their rabbis, did not even exist. Then there is all that resurrection stuff which most contemporary NT exegetes and even some professors at major Catholic universities have significant reservations about. e.g.
From the course notes of a large Catholic university's graduate theology class:
"Heaven is a Spirit state (no physical bodies abide so where is the resurrected, ascended body????)
Christ's and Mary's bodies are therefore not in Heaven. For one thing, Paul in 1 Cor 15 speaks of the body of the dead as transformed into a "spiritual body." No one knows exactly what he meant by this term.
Most believe that it to mean that the personal spiritual self that survives death is in continuity with the self we were while living on earth as an embodied person.
The physical Resurrection (meaning a resuscitated corpse returning to life), Ascension (of Jesus' crucified corpse), and Assumption (Mary's corpse) into heaven did not take place.
The Ascension symbolizes the end of Jesus' earthly ministry and the beginning of the Church.
Only Luke's Gospel records it. The Assumption ties Jesus' mission to Pentecost and missionary activity of Jesus' followers The Assumption has multiple layers of symbolism, some are related to Mary's special role as "Christ bearer" (theotokos). It does not seem fitting that Mary, the body of Jesus' Virgin-Mother (another biblically based symbol found in Luke 1) would be derived by worms upon her death. Mary's assumption also shows God's positive regard, not only for Christ's male body, but also for female bodies."
