I'm still trying to figure out where I went wrong. There was nothing discrminary posted by me to you. I merely shit down your misconstrued ideas, particularly your logic surrounding unseen air. Of course we can see the elements that compose air, just in other states of matter. Heated gas becomes visible plasmas such as on the sun. Cold gas becomes liquid, such as liquid nitrogen. I don't understand your discomfort with this conversation.

By the way, a lot of this stupidity arose from your incorrect logic about not seeing air. One of my posts was blocked, so I shall try again. We do see air. We we cool certain elements, they change states. That is, I can show you oxygen in liquid form when we cool is. If we heat some elements, they turn into plasmas- very common on the sun, for example. Perhaps you've seen videos of what liquid nitrogen can do. When liquid nitrogen heats, it turns into the very air you breath and expell when your lungs absorb oxygen. Let's go to cape canaveral together, I will show you liquid air – they power rockets. Again, your logic collapses into a black hole, void of circumstance due to proven fact. In this case, I can even show you how it fails by placing some liquid air in your (gloved for protection) hand.
By the way, we can see air. When we cool nitrogen, it is called liquid nitrogen. We use that auper cool other things. As it warms at room temp, you can see it change states if matter. We use liquid oxygen to power rockets as well. As it burns, immense thrust is produced. You've seen shuttle launches, therefor you've seen air in other states being utilized. Your logic fails basic tests.

I read that capitalized random words strengthen arguments during rational debate and therefor increase the debater's chances of winning. I also read that using many exclamation points make you win too. You don't use nearly enough. The early letters of Thomas Jefferson were riddled with capitalized words and exclamation points. Try this writing style out and let me know how it works out.

It is based on the FACT that you said to me in a prior post that I did not pay attention in 10th grade what science taught...That was not a FACT but a supposition on your part and it in fact, had NO truth in it. Bite on that for awhile, Mr.All Knowing Eyeball!
another definition of truth is:
a verified or indisputable fact
therefore it is the truth that a virgin can not give birth (we can verify and prove this). You can not die and rise from the dead after 3 days (we can verify and prove this). Logic would then tell us that the stories in the bible can not be the truth, the 2 biggest pieces of christianity can be verified and proven to be untrue.
You want me, a strident atheist, to be the subject of my own case study, where I attempt to show the linkage between religious beliefs and faulty perception on history, science, math and warped logic? Well, I already am. I rank in the upper left hand corner of the carteasan plain, where those with low religiosity and high IQs reside. So far, I have about 88% correlation between intelligence and religiosity, but I am early on in collecting data. The difficult part will be ranking logic tests, but I will be sure to keep you posted. This is a global study and so far, the nordic nations ate whopping the Americans in IQ scores, and have incredibly low religiosity. Interesting data indeed.

You seem to be a happy poster, content in what you believe. These folks seem to have a passion to beat down anything or anybody that don't agree with them. Here's a individual who likes to roll a cross around, not bothering anybody, and they all think somebodys trying to "convert" them or something. What folly is that!
They are so into themselves, that they can't see past thier nose on thier face. Thay are not, in my opinion even civil.
Some people are good at telling others that they are "wrong" and that they are "right"..as long as its NOT what they believe..Let someone tell them they are wrong, and they spasm,lol! (pot calling the kettle black)
That does not strike me as "content" in what they profess. Seems they are so busy trying to convince others that THIER way is the RIGHT way, but man, don't do that to them!
They also like to belittle people and thier beliefs..IF thats what Athiest people are all like, what a pity. Why won't anyone tackle my questions about the virgin birth and rising from the dead after 3 days?
How can you suspend WHAT WE KNOW IS TRUE AND REAL to believe a fairy tale? How do you suspend the basic tenants of reality? The answer is simple, you've been programmed to dismiss these REALITIES that WE KNOW ARE TRUE by your religious leaders, by your parents, in the hopes that you'll believe in something that is mystical. I actually feel sorry for you, that you have made a decision to deny that which we know is true and real to follow a fairytale.

Luke and his buddies are wishing for more than theories to back up their Big Bang; they search all the NT ‘scholars’ of today for the answers; they prefer these books to the Books of the Bible. The problem for them is that Science is a gift from God and so every time we learn something new via this gift they try to use it to destroy Truth! Science is just another way that God reveals more of Himself to us with every new discovery! I love Science and the marvels of God that it has revealed so far; life is never boring for a Christian.
I wonder how their Big Bang explains boredom, Truth, hate, fear, depression, conscience, endurance, assurance, Love…..

You've just embodied the reason why religion was invented in the first place. You feel the need to have things explained to you that you do not have answers for. This was true many years ago when religion was first invented by humans. They needed to have answers to everything. Over time we have come to realize that many things that religion taught and supported were wrong (the earth is the center of the universe Galileo), science was so much of a gift that they banned texts from being published. Science has always been at odds with religion because religion is, well, made up. Science continues to reveal more truths that invalidate these mystical beliefs i.e. religion.
It doesn't surprise me that NONE of the religious supports here has even begun to address the FACT that there is ABSOLUTE proof that the 2 most critical parts of the christian faith are scientifically, and medically impossible. But they both are EXTREMELY similar to to the egyptian mythological Isis, Horus and Orisis as well as stories from Mithraism both of which preceded chrstianity.
And don't even get me started on the CLEAR proof that the early christians co-opted so much of the Pagan faith for their own use...

Oh CatholicMom you always amuse me. The Big Bang Theory and it's rivals do not speak about boredom, truth, fear, depression, conscience, endurance, assurance and love. For those things, you would have to speak to a psychiatrist or philosopher. Sam Harris has a new book coming out next month that speaks to how science explains morality. Please do check it out. all religous acts are a comlete waste of time. They dont produce anything. No jobs created no product produced. Churches and mosques are empty buildings with empty minds. Thats why secular china builds factories and creates jobs and products to sell to the rest of the religious world. ...God is blessing with American jobs and a substantial amount of wealth to support their billion man army...
The same people who say things like "religious acts are a waste of time" and "don't force your religious views on me" are the same people who will sit in from of a TV for hours, happy to let commmercials be pounded into their great minds.
Which is better than sitting in a pew having hogwash pounded into your mind. You know a lot of stuff on TV is crap. The guy in the pulpit is pounding mystical 'bs' into a bunch of gullible people who think he is going to point them to everlasting life.
At least when I watch Bones, or NCIS I know it's all not real. At least it isn't nearly as dangerous as being brainwashed in church.
Brad – At least when I watch(ed) Lost, I knew it was science fiction. Sadly, those in the pews neurologically believe what they hear is fact rather than myth, causing a warped perception of history and reality. This is the danger of religion across the globe.
That’s right, tell people who are making an attempt to better their lives and the lives of others how much a waste of time it is. Meanwhile, you go ahead and support abortion clinics, frequent strip clubs, booze it up with your so called friends, hit the crack pipe, beat your wife, and tear down all that is good around you. The church I attend is busting at the seams due to a great presence in our community. We provide tens of thousands of dollars to the local schools so that underprivileged kids can have school supplies, lunches, and the general cost of all the extras. We serve the local rescue mission to help those people who thought just like you not to many years ago. I know this because I talk to them. My church went into a low income high crime housing area and held a carnival for the kids. The number of 911 calls for that same community declined by 80% the next month and continues to fall as we continue to go back. Every month we do what we call a giving back to God project and each time we do it, we walk away fulfilled with something you will never experience while sitting on your bar stool. We are saving marriages, reducing teen pregnancies, giving the kids things to do besides hanging out on the street corner. You are correct, we haven’t added to the GDP nor do we plan to. In fact when we can we give even more away we do. Our church partnered with the Global Orphan project and built an orphanage, church, and housing to house over a hundred parentless kids.
That’s the mystery behind God. The more we do these projects, the more blessed we become. Our church started 3 years ago with 45 people. We now have over 900 attending. We don’t go to a fancy building on Sunday or a Mosque as you call it. We meet in a high school auditorium. All this guy is doing is reminding people like me that I need to stop worrying about the small things that bring me down like your reply. Rather to trust Jesus and he will wash away my sins and when I follow his example, my burdens are lifted; I become something that is desirable and pleasing to God and man. I land the job that pays better. I refrain from things that keep me financially hindered like drugs and booze. I am able to get off the couch and spend time with my kids. If God blesses me with wealth then I start a business which I know from the peace that God has given me that it will succeed. I hire employees and the world I live in is a better place. But God granted you free will so that you can live as you want. You don’t have to worry about Him striking you down for saying what you said. When you need the church, we will be there for you and never throw your past in your face. God loves you and so do I. It took me a “slap in the face” message just like this to wake me up. I only hope this did the same for you? Will you trust Him? If you say yes, and live in the Kansas City area, look up Restore Christian Church in the Northland. Ask around for me and I will help you on a different path. What do you have to loose?
