Dear Mr. President

Editor's Note: CNN Correspondent Tom Foreman has posted an open letter to President Obama about his faith. Foreman has been writing open letters to the President for over two years now. You can see the entire collection over at the AC360 Blog.

Dear Mr. President,

As much as Americans like to talk about separation of church and state, it seems to me that it can be very hard being president if voters don’t think you are Christian. I suppose that is patently unfair, but that pretty much seems to be the case. And as I’m sure you know, a new survey from the Pew folks says you have a problem on that front. To wit: A startling number of Americans either think you are a Muslim, or don’t think you are a Christian, or aren’t sure what you are.

    CJ,
I think you should exercise your beliefs as they relate to you, and let other people do the same. And that includes
    Stephen Hawking.

For anyone that belief in Christ. U all becoming anti-christ! If you just read your bible, study what it saying to u and let them live their lifes. Just read Roman 14:10 " So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember, we will all stand before the judgement seat of God. For the Scriptures say, ;As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knew will bend to me and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.

As my name is a give-away to my comment – I couldn't care less what religion (and would prefer none at all) a head of state is. Religion, as set forth in our founding documents, has no place in governing a country and it's people. As said by Sinclair Lewis "When fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying the cross." or a star of david or a star and crescent etc. etc. etc. If you want a governing power to show no bias, religion must be one issue removed from the equation.

You know it isn't good that the American people believe that our president is a closet Muslim it's even worst that people don't believe he is even American. What he should be doing is squashing these rumors IF they are rumors.

Hmmm, has BO seen the light when it comes to the fraud, follies and flaws in religion? One hopes so and maybe he can start a national debate on the subject. Maybe he already has????

  8. A Protest To CNN

As a long-time blogger, I protest, in the strongest possible terms, the misguided erasure of vast numbers of posts in this belief blog.
A person or persons unknown have gone through the past week and have deleted vast swaths of posts.
If you are a blogger who has contributed in the past week, I invite you to go and see if what you wrote is still there.
Whether it was the moderators, or somebody "flagging" every post they didn't like, the fact remains that this is outrageous behavior.
Freedom of the press and speech don't really matter I guess. Expect this protest to disappear as well (if it even gets past the moderator filters)
    Bad functionality or deliberate act?
I repeat: IF ANYONE HAS POSTED IN THE PAST WEEK – GO AND LOOK> YOUR POST MAY ALREADY BE GONE.
How can anybody justify such immature behavior?
So much for cnn. I had hoped for better from a member of the Fourth Estate.
Where are the cowards who did this?

There are some unwritten rules regarding this blog. One is the list of secret forbidden/filter words to include parts of words that are on the list. One such word is t-it. The word filter will automatically put any comments with this word in the "being moderated" category which typically will be eventually deleted. So be careful about using the words t-it, Consti-tutional, t-itle, se-x, se-xual, hom-ose-xual, any word with h-omo in it, Jesus Se-minar etc. Check any of your comments that get the "being moderated" "kiss" and simply rewrite with dashes in what might be a forbidden word or part of a forbidden word. The dashes typically will get your comments approved by the filter.

I have also used "Report abuse" on occasion where comments are vulgar or demeaning. In most cases, said abusive comments are not deleted.
