Mosque Denies Students Were Invited To Pray

Editor's Note: A separation of church and state controversy is brewing outside Boston. This story comes from CNN affiliate WCVB.

(Wellesley, Massachusetts) A Wellesley Middle School field trip to a local mosque has sparked controversy in the affluent community west of Boston after a video surfaced showing some of the students praying inside the hall.

The school superintendent apologized to local parents after the video, shot by a parent, was made public. It shows a handful of Wellesley sixth-grade boys kneeling and engaging in the prayer ritual during the May event at the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center.

A chaperone who was on the trip said the prayer was voluntary.

With all respect to comments of views on Larry King to Interview Stephen Hawking about the form of God?? The form of God in the Quran as says to be of Light more like of the moon light since, says Alqamar Nora. Alla Noor Alsamowat Walalard Walisa Kamathlhw Noor. Meaning God Allah is the light of heavens and earth and there is no light like him.
God Allah has given the form of his being in the Quran at Sura 24:35 puzzle of which I challenge Mr.Stephen Hawking or NASA to decode it and if they did they would not declare it because Quran is a challenge to science and I am sure if this guy is intelligent enough through understanding the miracals of the Quran would be able to decode many miracles that could be found just as those found here:http://www.quranmiracles.com/?gclid=CJz9p8HBo6QCFUWQzAodpWdE6A

Man of God respectable Terry Jones,of Florida's Dove's Church, maybe a day would come that the world and Muslims would thank you for your causing all these discussions to come out today's on this site blogs and many other sites blogs and to it leading to have more people religious discussions leading them read and learn more about Islam and the Quran many who's eyes had opened to reality converted to Islam or at least respect Muslims and their religion. After all you are a man of God and God has made use of you as an antibiotic to be given to faiths that leads to having hidden truths prevailed and explored. May God Allah give you guidance to convert in to Islam or establish a Church that says and calls that God Allah is One and Only and that muhammed was the promised comforter, messenger and being the final of prophets of God....Ameen. Here your Dove will be the Dove of Peace we been waiting is within your hand to help establish. Sohan Allah.

As as a resident someone who lives in Wellesley and has talked to people who were at the mosque, I think this whole issue is a joke. Students voluntarily prayed, they weren't forced to. Only one parent complained. The kids I asked said they thought it meant nothing, and that the whole issue is absurd. This whole controversy is just more Islamophobia in the media stirred up by uneducated people trying to demonize an entire religion.

@jfrankfan.correction: Some certain people trying to demonize all entire religions...and all those uneducated or ignorant are the victims of History repeating it self battle between the good and evil..watch the arrivals or wakeupproject might give you a guidance as to what's going on....! Can we admit the truth? Can we handle the truth? The truth is what will result from your mind and heart but to think you need to Lisen and Read and ask who know if you didn't know...May God Guide and bless all in faith of God Almighty Allah the One and onoy creator of all creations the God of all (Jews/Christians/Muslims) who worship no one other than God alone and follow the roads leading to learn the truth nothing but the truth,so help me God. Ameen.

If you belive in any reilgeon or not?
What you have said about Islam is more or less the same what Lucipher or Satan said about Adam and did not obey God-Almighty's command to prostrate in front of Adam, and he was kicked out by God Al-mighty.
Do you know Islam is the fastest growing religeon weather you like it or not, but of course its no use to convince an ignorent like you

"testimony before Congress that 80% of mosques in the USA have been radicalized"
Who's testimony? where did you get this?

A field trip to a mosque? Have we learned nothing from the daily, koranic-driven carnage caused by the followers of Islam where most of said carnage is planned in some mosque?

    The "skinny" of it:

Mosques are simply crack houses for dispensing the drugs of hate and horror from the passages in the koran that demand male Muslim control of the world by any method. There is no US Const-itution amendment that gives protection to anyone or any structure dispensing illegal drugs in any form.

This mosque-dispensing hate is highlighted by testimony before Congress that 80% of mosques in the USA have been radicalized. Added proof is the recent closing of the mosque in Germany where the horror of 9/11 was planned as
recent evidence showed that this terror den was still harboring Muslims planning added attacks against all infidels.

@Reality. Get real Mosques dispense drags? Oh my God then must be the drags that stuffed in dead soldiers as was from Vietnam now you have coming from Afghanistan? No wonder they do die many?

@reality. Be fair look&hear with both eyes and ears, you are judging Mosques as being extreme and not judging Churches being extreme? The time when a shopping mull was blown up brought down to dust, first done was to accuse Arabs and Muslims and after investigations it was found out that a white young man from the Right Wing extremists has done it but no apology was given to Arabs and Muslims that were chased and harassed every where in USA? Seems any that will sneeze or fart an Arab and a Muslim will be accused of causing it?

Well Reality your eyes only see what you want to see, your ears only hears what you want to hear and your mind only want to think what you think is right. I rest my case!

I am a chinese with no religion affiliation. We have a saying... "the nail that stuck out gets the hammer" Isn't that in the Quran? Why would you expect anything else?

      So what do Muslim want?

And why are you so sensitive? I did not say Christians. I say the "world". I would think Allah would want you to be a little open minded. This is not just able Christians and Muslims.
