Can you believe in Bigfoot and the Bible?
UFOs and the Bible - how do you believe in both? That’s one of the questions that aroused the curiosity of three sociologists who wanted to examine the religious values of believers in the paranormal. In “Paranormal America: Ghost Encounters, UFO Sightings, Bigfoot Hunts, and Other Curiosities in Religion and Culture,” the authors asked if religious people are more prone to believe in the paranormal. Carson Mencken, one of the book’s co-author’s, says more conservative Christians, for example, tend not to think too much about UFOs and Bigfoot.
To research the book, the authors visited houses that were reputedly haunted, spoke to people who said they had guardian angels, and had their palms read. Christopher Bader says many paranormal devotees don’t see themselves as flaky - it’s the other paranormal believers they wonder about.
I’ve long heard old folks say that people of faith shouldn’t dabble in the occult or paranormal. I once interviewed the last surviving priest who actually participated in the incident that inspired the horror film, “The Exorcist.” The boy’s possession (the “possessed" kid was changed to a girl for the movie) was allegedly triggered by his decision to use a Ouija board to contact a dead relative. Is a person of faith who delves into the paranormal taking a risk? Or are they, in the words of some people in “Paranormal America,” just being flaky? |

Hello Frank and Muneef sorry took so long to reply. Frank my thoughts on the above are from my own awareness. I have found that there have been alterations in the bible to hide the truth it once held. For one the linage of Adam starts with Seth; yet, many false religions say Cain was Adams first which is false. As Muneef stated Adam, Eve, and Satan got kicked out of the garden and he took with him his followers. They fell for the humans and created giants so why would the linage of Cain not be big footed. There was a mark put on Cain so no one would kill him for his sin of killing his brother and he would be chased til the end of time. Now the mark can be of many types ,( All of this writ is just my opinion) now for the bigfoot it could been a mark of fear. I know with my experiance I will never forget the intense fear I experianced and of course the fear people have on this subject believers and nonbelievers. I don't have the time at the moment to elaberate on the spiritual enlightenment and the tie in of the later experiances with UFO's and whether they are linked. As the original question was; "Can you believe in Bigfoot and the bible, and UFO's and the bible." So in my opinion both are mentioned and as the saying goes seek the truth and yee shall find; but, always expect to find nonbelievers. Muneef it appears your bible says the same; yet, the names are changed as it appears Qabeel and Cain are of the same... just my thought, no disrespect intended. I have given no verses as I don't have the original bible but it is mentioned I believe in the first 4 chapters of Genesis.

I was an athiest until the age of 16, then I became a Christian. From not believing anything, I ended up believing in our Creator- then after that, I saw for myself UFO's.. an angel years before that , and in 2008, a Being that looked very much like one of Brian Froud's nature guardians he painted – and no, she was not a demon. I learned from God to use discernment, but also not to limit Him.
We humans don't know all of what or who was created before mankind was- or how it will all fit into His plans for His Kingdom. Some things we may learn now- some later-

One would think that a person with an imaginary friend would be more likely to believe in other impracticalities. Bigfoot and UFO's might not cut the cake, but religious people are definitely more likely to believe in ghosts, demons, and angels, which are equally, if not more, improbable.
Ever wonder what would happen if Jesus ran into a flying saucer while galloping back from space on his white horse on his way to the Rapture?
We know the little green saucer people AND Jesus are coming here to kill us all.
What do you believe will happen?
1. Jesus and the Martians will join forces to snuff us out.
2. The two will fight each other to decide who gets to snuff us out.
3. Godzilla, Bigfoot and Spiderman would team up to save us.
Personally, I believe it's CNN's duty to bring this potential dilemma to light, perhaps in the form of a 2-hour special with Anderson Cooper moderating, of course.

Regarding bigfoot believers not believing in ufo's sorry not true. A yes to the bible mentioning the ground burrowers (Sasquatch) and also ufo's. From the original bible text it states Eve had continued in labour to have Adam's son Able. The sasquatch originated from the family of Cain. Adam was not the dad of Cain. The snake in the grass was the dad of Cain. Able was the son of Adam. The skull structure of the sasquatch matches that of the reptilian man. That takes us to, do you believe in the reptilian man. Hard enough to believe in a sasquatch. Regarding the link of seeing ufo's before or after sasquatch sitings...true. After one experiances one of the Great Spirits unknown creations one learns the magnitude of the many mysteries phyisically and spiritually. Religion should not be the controller of man, love and respect of all races is what is needed for man to evolve and to understand those things hidden in mystery and to disepate the dogma. Just my opinion, believe it or not.
Never heard of such story before and not in the Quran. The story of the Quran tells us that after Adam and Eve were misguided by the Devil although they were warned from listening to him God was angry and sent the three of them to earth as enemies to each other. Adam had his first two sons Qabeel and Habeel where Qabeel killed Habeel out of jealousy and when he did not know how to deal with corpse a crow gave an example to showing him as to burying the dead. Other than that I do not where you got this strange story from?
Sasdave, I haven't heard of the sasquatch being a reptilian being. That's a new one to me. And as far as I know, sasquatch isn't mentioned in that part of the Bible. Maybe I am wrong? Care to point out the verses? I think you are confusing Bigfoot with the Nephilim.
I have definitely heard the theory that the serpent impregnated Eve. Also theories dealing with Lilith and Samael.
You are mixing the Annunaki theory with certain occult views of the Bible. It's not a new theory. Very interesting, though.
I find it intriguing that more and more researchers into hidden history are talking about reptilian humanoid beings and finding the place where aliens, interdimensionals and demons intersect. Funnily enough, Coast to Coast AM's show last Sunday had an author on discussing these very things – from Aleister Crowley's LAM episode and his involvement with Jack Parsons and L. Ron Hubbard to alien/interdimensional harvesting of human souls (through vampirism, rituals involving the consumption of human flesh and blood, creating extreme negative vibrations through various means and so on).
I find this whole subject very interesting. It makes more sense to me than the crap they feed us as 'truth'.

Some would call all that been said as fairy tells or stories? Are they with no imagination or programed as robots although as for me nothing would have been achieved without far rich imaginations and not shallow ones?

Hollywood, which has ties to the government, has been amping up fears about alien invasions for decades, going back to when Orson Welle's caused mass hysteria with his broadcast of War of the Worlds over the radio, which cost several lives. As for ancient depictions of UFOs: All I have to say is that our ancestors knew a lot more than we know now. A lot of knowledge has been lost over the intervening millenia.
Can theists believe in bigfoot, UFOs, chupacabra, Nessie, etc? Of course they can. If you believe in something irrational and unprovable then whats to stop you from believing in something else that is just as untenable?

(11) To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth, He enlarges provision for whom He wills, and straitens (it for whom He wills). Verily! He is the All-Knower of everything. (12)

(14) So unto this (religion of Islâm alone and this Qur’ân) then invite (people) (O Muhammad SAW), and stand firm [on Islâmic Monotheism by performing all that is ordained by Allâh (good deeds), and by abstaining from all that is forbidden by Allâh (sins and evil deeds)], as you are commanded, and follow not their desires but say: "I believe in whatsoever Allâh has sent down of the Book [all the holy Books, – this Qur’ân and the Books of the old from the Taurât (Torah), or the Injeel (Gospel) or the Pages of Ibrâhîm (Abraham)] and I am commanded to do justice among you. Allâh is our Lord and your Lord. For us our deeds and for you your deeds. There is no dispute between us and you. Allâh will assemble us (all), and to Him is the final return." (15)

Thanks, Muneef, for posting part of the Quran. While I am a Christian and believe that Jesus was also Allah's son, I and many of my fellow Christians were appalled at that pastor who wanted to burn the Quran, and we prayed that he would not. I apologize for those Christian extreemists who think they speak for our Creator-when they don't.
Also just want to say that yes- demons are very real- and so is satan., but they are no match for our Creator if we seek His help. I believe people are encountering Bigfoot- but I dont know if in some cases, demons are fooling some people into thinking they are Bigfoot. I believe God did create these beings and that they are interdimensional, but that only after we die will God reveal more detail to us about them .
The Bible is being proven to be true by archeological findings. The Giants like the kings the Hebrews overthrew. His burial site was big and the archeologist said the person had to be over nine feet tall. In the Egyptian drawings one of the Pharohs had to be at least 10 feet if he was standing.
Human being since Adam were very huge and lived over thousand or more years but nation after nation became smaller in size and lesser years to live. Example it was told that Prophet Noah has lived over 900years having planted those trees that he and followers later on made the Ark out of.
Oh, well, we have drawing so it must be true. Abe Lincoln was exceptionally tall too, but was he as tall as he is shown in the Lincoln Memorial?
Are you joking? Am speaking about people Noah's time but guess we are less by inches than those in the past and will continue maybe to becoming dwarfs and in comparing us with earlier generations we are already dwarfs to them.

You are stretching the truth. *Maybe* archeological findings are proving that certain parts of your book-of-silliness are accurate, but there has been no such proof of the supernatural aspects of the christian myth. The supernatural claims are huge compared to the historical aspects, and completely unsubstantiated. Your logic is as faulty as the myth you are, unsuccessfully, trying to turn into fact.
UFO aliens and Bigfoot, should they exist, would likely be the product of the evolutionary process somewhere in the universe which still makes them infinitely easier to believe in than God, a unique being that has always been, was somewhere else before the universe began, is actually powerful enough to have created the universe out of absolutely nothing, has a special link to just us humans, appears in burning flora and on taco chips, and especially cares what materials we mix together in our clothing and in how far we bury our poop from our campsites.
