Tony Blair and Christopher Hitchens to debate religion

One of Britain's highest-profile advocates for religion and one of its top atheists are set to face off Friday night, with former Prime Minister Tony Blair and writer Christopher Hitchens publicly debating whether religion is a force for good.

The debate, scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Toronto, Ontario, will be streamed live and will later be broadcast on various BBC platforms.

Blair converted to Catholicism shortly after leaving office in 2007 and has made religion and interfaith dialogue a focus of his post-Downing Street career.
