Televangelist says he cheated on wifeA televangelist admitted in front of a television audience that he cheated on his wife, an announcement he made to thwart people he said were trying to extort millions of dollars from him. The Rev. Marcus Lamb made the confession Tuesday night on his show "Celebration" with his wife Joni Lamb by his side. The couple also displayed a special message about the incident on the website of Daystar Television Network, the couple's television network. "At the top of the program, the Lambs shared a compelling, transparent account of a personal challenge in their marriage that occurred several years ago, involving an inappropriate relationship between Marcus and another woman," the message said. The couple explained that there were three people who said they would expose the affair if the couple's ministry did not pay them $7.5 million. Daystar Television Network is based in Texas and airs some of the most popular evangelists in the nation, including T.D. Its always been a mystery to me that if Jesus is a myth, why do so many people wring their hands, fret and post comments? If retards chose to believe the myth and send money anywhere they want, wants the problem? As to the main subject at hand, since space aliens were not available, preachers, and even televangelists, have to be human. Yikes, what a concept! Hiring non perfect humans! I guess we are surrounded by perfect humans just going about their job or business in a flawless, faultless manner. Yep, I see it every day, in every profession. How about asking God why He allows this to happen. Oh wait, God is a myth, so who can I complain to? Gee, what a predicament. Maybe the answer will come via the great fortune cookie or on my horoscope. So the answer is don't send any money to church or Televangelists and they will go out of business, cause the world is literally full of perfect people who are really smart. We do outnumber the retards don't we? I think this discussion was had over 20 years ago. Yikes, Jesus just won't go away will He? What to do, what to do?
This is typical and not a shock in the slightest.All these pious christians NEVER practice what they preach EVER.Hypocrisy is the norm.They will tell everyone else they are going to hell,then they turn around and do the same thing.This is one of the 10 commandments,and they cant even uphold that.why should we follow these people? what example are you setting?Then we hear the old term"forgiveness"..oh how convienient! So i can be as evil as i want and still reach the kingdom of heaven?..so in theory if satan decided to give up evil and ask for forgiveness,he would be forgiven for all that he has done for the last 2,000 years.When christians start living by their own doctrine then maybe someone will take notice,until then they are all FRAUDS!
Paul, I agree with you. Many many Christians give Christians a bad name because of their hipocracy. I am a stong believer and the many Christians out there would make it hard for anyone to believe. That is why the relationship with God is personal. Get it from HIM, not other people. And certainly don't throw your money to them.

Why don't pastors, priest and other religious leaders spend more time on the topics that actually destroy ppl? Like cheating, drugs, lying and greed? Stop spending so much time on gays and abortion, both of which only impact a tiny fraction of ppl. While churches have been crazy about gays and abortion, America has been falling apart from cheating, greed and lies.
With their doctrine they build, and with their lives they destroy.
Your religion is what you do when the sermon is over.

Wow, that is surprising that a televangelist would cheat on there spouse. Lie, steal or anything else. Not. Please, where are all the decent human beings with values and morals.
They are probably not part of a church or organized religion.
They are the people doing goodly things fully realizing that there will be NO reward in any "afterlife". They do good for the sake of good, not for the reward promised.
The reason why the pastor admitted it(the affair) is because he got CAUGHT and was being blackmailed!If he wouldn't have gotten caught,trust me that pastor wouldn't have admitted anything!
Of course she is by his side. She does not want to lose millions of dollars. Always love how the preachers come clean and pray to God for salvation. Donations just increase from the sheep.

One has to love religion in Western Culture. Sin for six days then on the seventh day repent for your sins asking for forgiveness and all is forgiven. Now your all set for six more days of sinning. Religion is wonderful! Where do I sign up?
Forgiveness has nothing to do with your intetntion. It is about God's grace and his goodness. He chose to send his son to die on the cross for us, and anyone who believes that Jesus is the Son of God and accept him as Lord of your life will receive eternal life. We as believers have a responsiblity of holding spirtual leaders accountable. We have to study the word for ourselves and rightly divide the truth. It is clearly outlined in the Bible the qualifications of a minister and cheating is not one of them. Yes I know God is forgiving, but in the Bible a teacher of the word are judged by higher standards. So let us stop supporting the people as leaders, believers yes, but No.
