Letter from rabbis' wives urge Israeli girls to avoid dating Arabs

Israeli right-wing activists protest in Jerusalem on 23 December in support of a letter forbidding Jews from selling or renting property to non-Jews.

From Shira Medding, CNN

A letter from about 30 prominent rabbis' wives was causing a stir in Israel Wednesday because it urges Israeli girls not to date Arabs.

The open letter comes three weeks after the uproar caused by another letter, which was written by 50 state-appointed rabbis and told Jews not to rent or sell property to non-Jews.

The latest missive, which was published by some websites and news outlets, says Arab men act polite around Jewish girls and "act as if they really care about you," but it says that's a ruse. The men, it says, even change their Arab names to Hebrew forms like Yossi and Ami in order to get close to the girls.

    THINK!!!!

"John Hick, a noted British philosopher of religion, estimates that 95 percent of the people of the world owe their religious affiliation to an accident of birth. The faith of the vast majority of believers depends upon where they were born and when. Those born in Saudi Arabia will almost certainly be Moslems, and those born and raised in India will for the most part be Hindus. Nevertheless, the religion of millions of people can sometimes change abruptly in the face of major political and social upheavals. In the middle of the sixth century ce, virtually all the people of the Near East and Northern Africa, including Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Egypt were Christian. By the end of the following century, the people in these lands were largely Moslem, as a result of the militant spread of Islam.

    The Situation Today

Barring military conquest, conversion to a faith other than that of one’s birth is rare. Some Jews, Moslems, and Hindus do convert to Christianity, but not often. Similarly, it is not common for Christians to become Moslems or Jews. Most people are satisfied that their own faith is the true one or at least good enough to satisfy their religious and emotional needs. Had St. Augustine or St. Thomas Aquinas been born in Mecca at the start of the present century, the chances are that they would not have been Christians but loyal followers of the prophet Mohammed." J. Somerville

It is very disturbing that religious violence and hatred continues unabated due to radomness of birth. Maybe just maybe if this fact would be published on the first page of every newspaper every day, that we would finally realize the significant stupidity of all religions.

  11. Gaza’s Youth Manifesto for Change! By Gaza Youth Breaks Out (GYBO) (posted on CNN by Darwi)

Fuck Hamas. Fuck Israel. Fuck Fatah. Fuck UN. Fuck UNWRA. Fuck USA!
We, the youth in Gaza, are so fed up with Israel, Hamas, the occupation, the violations of human rights and the indifference of the international community! We want to scream and break this wall of silence, injustice and indifference like the Israeli F16’s breaking the wall of sound; scream with all the power in our souls in order to release this immense frustration that consumes us because of this fucking situation we live in; we are like lice between two nails living a nightmare inside a nightmare, no room for hope, no space for freedom. We are sick of being caught in this political struggle; sick of coal dark nights with airplanes circling above our homes; sick of innocent farmers getting shot in the buffer zone because they are taking care of their lands; sick of bearded guys walking around with their guns abusing their power, beating up or incarcerating young people demonstrating for what they believe in; sick of the wall of shame that separates us from the rest of our country and keeps us imprisoned in a stamp-sized piece of land; sick of being portrayed as terrorists, homemade fanatics with explosives in our pockets and evil in our eyes; sick of the indifference we meet from the international community, the so-called experts in expressing concerns and drafting resolutions but cowards in enforcing anything they agree on; we are sick and tired of living a shitty life, being kept in jail by Israel, beaten up by Hamas and completely ignored by the rest of the world.

There is a revolution growing inside of us, an immense dissatisfaction and frustration that will destroy us unless we find a way of canalizing this energy into something that can challenge the status quo and give us some kind of hope. The final drop that made our hearts tremble with frustration and hopelessness happened 30th November, when Hamas’ officers came to Sharek Youth Forum, a leading youth organization (www.sharek.ps) with their guns, lies and aggressiveness, throwing everybody outside, incarcerating some and prohibiting Sharek from working. A few days later, demonstrators in front of Sharek were beaten and some incarcerated. We are really living a nightmare inside a nightmare. It is difficult to find words for the pressure we are under. We barely survived the Operation Cast Lead, where Israel very effectively bombed the shit out of us, destroying thousands of homes and even more lives and dreams. They did not get rid of Hamas, as they intended, but they sure scared us forever and distributed post traumatic stress syndrome to everybody, as there was nowhere to run.

We are youth with heavy hearts. We carry in ourselves a heaviness so immense that it makes it difficult to us to enjoy the sunset. How to enjoy it when dark clouds paint the horizon and bleak memories run past our eyes every time we close them? We smile in order to hide the pain. We laugh in order to forget the war. We hope in order not to commit suicide here and now. During the war we got the unmistakable feeling that Israel wanted to erase us from the face of the earth. During the last years Hamas has been doing all they can to control our thoughts, behaviour and aspirations. We are a generation of young people used to face missiles, carrying what seems to be a impossible mission of living a normal and healthy life, and only barely tolerated by a massive organization that has spread in our society as a malicious cancer disease, causing mayhem and effectively killing all living cells, thoughts and dreams on its way as well as paralyzing people with its terror regime. Not to mention the prison we live in, a prison sustained by a so-called democratic country.

History is repeating itself in its most cruel way and nobody seems to care. We are scared. Here in Gaza we are scared of being incarcerated, interrogated, hit, tortured, bombed, killed. We are afraid of living, because every single step we take has to be considered and well-thought, there are limitations everywhere, we cannot move as we want, say what we want, do what we want, sometimes we even cant think what we want because the occupation has occupied our brains and hearts so terrible that it hurts and it makes us want to shed endless tears of frustration and rage!

We do not want to hate, we do not want to feel all of this feelings, we do not want to be victims anymore. ENOUGH! Enough pain, enough tears, enough suffering, enough control, limitations, unjust justifications, terror, torture, excuses, bombings, sleepless nights, dead civilians, black memories, bleak future, heart aching present, disturbed politics, fanatic politicians, religious bullshit, enough incarceration! WE SAY STOP! This is not the future we want!

We want three things. We want to be free. We want to be able to live a normal life. We want peace. Is that too much to ask? We are a peace movement consistent of young people in Gaza and supporters elsewhere that will not rest until the truth about Gaza is known by everybody in this whole world and in such a degree that no more silent consent or loud indifference will be accepted.

This is the Gazan youth’s manifesto for change!

We will start by destroying the occupation that surrounds ourselves, we will break free from this mental incarceration and regain our dignity and self respect. We will carry our heads high even though we will face resistance. We will work day and night in order to change these miserable conditions we are living under. We will build dreams where we meet walls.

We only hope that you – yes, you reading this statement right now! – can support us. In order to find out how, please write on our wall or contact us directly: freegazayouth@hotmail.com

We want to be free, we want to live, we want peace.

    FREE GAZA YOUTH!

I remember talking to a Palestinian once and he told me of the brutality of the occupation – that he could not work, could not leave his home, could do nothing without permission from his oppressor. The beatings were legal and/or ignored.

By no means am I belittling the Palestinian cause, but one might ask how this is different from the situation of Saudi women, who cannot vote, cannot leave their homes without permission, and cannot even drive a car? How many Palestinian women are not free to date, free to leave as they choose – not because of the Israelis, but because of the men in their families?

Is that all to you Freedom is being stray "Dating&Mating"? We as Arabs and Muslims care more about Family Shame and Disgrace since we are part or care for big families that could reach the level of being tribes it self!! East we are different than west when to the westerns family could mean nothing even less or fewer than fingers in hands...and we call that selfishness running away from "Sharing&Caring" responsibilities....! Nutty!

We have learnt from birds and animals many things of science? So haven't we asked our selves why night flying insects are attracted to the light? Or maybe should ask our selves why were ancient nations worshiping the Sun the Moon the Stars the Fire?? They knew they should be looking for the light but have become stray time after time and after every messenger from the Right Straight Path which was taught to Adam and down to all Prophets and Messengers of God.
We in the Quran were told that God Allah has taught Adam all his names meaning the Knowldge and the Holy Message for Mankind to live with it on earth which only proves that there was a spoken language in which Adam listened from God and from Satan misleading him to eat a fruit of the forbidden tree and when talked to Eve? Teaching all that meant there were some writings done?
In such case then there might have been scriptures from such length of time that had been changing hands as father to son and from hand to hand?
There are verses of the Quran where God Allah mentioned teaching to Adam all names and then teaching to the prophets&messengers through people of knowldge and the Holy Spirit..

    Al-Baqara sura02:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
And He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels and said: "Tell Me the names of these if ye are right." (31) They said: "Glory to Thee: of knowledge we have none, save that Thou hast taught us: in truth it is Thou who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom." (32) He said: "O Adam! tell them their names." When he had told them their names, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?" (33).

    Al-Alaq sura 96:
Proclaim! (or Read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created― (1) Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: (2) Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful― (3) He Who taught (the use of) the Pen― (4) Taught man that which he knew not. (5).

Mohammed was an illiterate, womanizing, lust and greed-driven, warmongering, hallucinating Arab, who also had embellishing/hallucinating/plagiarizing scribal biographers who not only added "angels" and flying chariots to the koran but also a militaristic agenda to support the plundering and looting of the lands of non-believers.

This agenda continues as shown by the ma-ssacre in Mumbai, the as-sas-sinations of Bhutto and Theo Van Gogh, the conduct of the seven Muslim doctors in the UK, the 9/11 terrorists, the 24/7 Sunni suicide/roadside/market/mosque bombers, the 24/7 Shiite suicide/roadside/market/mosque bombers, the Islamic bombers of the trains in the UK and Spain, the Bali crazies, the Kenya crazies, the Pakistani “koranics”, the Palestine suicide bombers/rocketeers, the Lebanese nutcases, the Taliban nut jobs, the Ft. Hood follower of the koran, and the Filipino “koranics”.

And who funds this muck and stench of terror? The warmongering, Islamic, Shiite terror and torture theocracy of Iran aka the Third Axis of Evil and also the Sunni "Wannabees" of Saudi Arabia.

      Current crises:

The Sunni-Shiite blood feud and the warmongering, womanizing (11 wives), hallucinating founder.

How can any Muslim spout words about being positive when koranic-driven atrocities continue on a daily basis.

      Some examples:

1b) Assassination of Benazir Bhutto and Theo Van Gogh

      2) 9/11, 3000 mostly US citizens, 1000’s injured

      9) The execution of an eloping couple in Afghanistan on 04/15/2009 by the Taliban.

      10) – Afghanistan: US troops 1,116 killed in action, 902 killed in non-combat situations as of 08/10/2010. Over 40,000 Afghan civilians killed due to the dark-age, koranic-driven Taliban acts of horror

      11) The killing of 13 citizen soldiers at Ft. Hood by a follower of the koran.

      12) 38 Russian citizens killed on March 29, 2010 by Muslim women suicide bombers.

      13) The May 28, 2010 attack on a Islamic religious minority in Pakistan, which have left 98 dead,

      14) Lockerbie is known internationally as the site where, on 21 December 1988, the wreckage of Pan Am Flight 103 crashed as a result of a terrorist bomb. In the United Kingdom the event is referred to as the Lockerbie disaster, the Lockerbie bombing, or simply Lockerbie. Eleven townspeople were killed in Sherwood Crescent, where the plane's wings and fuel tanks plummeted in a fiery explosion, destroying several houses and leaving a huge crater, with debris causing damage to a number of buildings nearby. The 270 fatalities (259 on the plane, 11 in Lockerbie) were citizens of 21 nations.

      15) Followed by the daily suicide and/or roadside and/or mosque bombings every day in the terror world of Islam.

      16) Bombs sent from Yemen by followers of the koran which fortunately were discovered before the bombs were detonated.

      17) The killing of 58 Christians in a Catholic church in one of the latest acts of horror and terror in Iraq.

Thanks for the year 2010 with it's sore and happy moments and we welcome a new year 2011 which no one is aware what it contains for us other than God Allah whom I certify for being no other God than Him and I certify that Muhammed is his messenger and that he was sent as the messenger of mercy and in mercy to the worlds..God had created negativity by Satan and positivity through Messengers as evil and good were created for testing faith of man and confidence "Iman" then there is always in between both whom we call stray..while the evil is the cursed one..
Now look at it this way Black & White has Gray in between!
    Nagative & Posative
    Evil & Good
    Dark & Light
We have learnt from birds and animals many things of science? So haven't we asked our selves why night flying insects are attracted to the light? What is this bloodline they talk about ? Thereis no bloodline in the issue they are from every part of the world from all races the only thing that bond them together is the religion and still they have their differences in their religion... We Arabs before Islam were pagan,Jews,Christians until Islam became the religion of the majority so where is the vloodline here??

Saving all Muslims from the marriage issue by bringing them into the 21st century The Five Steps To Deprogram 1400 Years of Islamic Myths:

( –The Steps take less than two minutes to finish- simply amazing, two minutes to bring peace and rationality to over one billion lost souls- Priceless!!!)

      Are you ready?

Using "The 77 Branches of Islamic "faith" a collection compiled by Imam Bayhaqi as a starting point. In it, he explains the essential virtues that reflect true "faith" (iman) through related Qur’anic verses and Prophetic sayings." i.e. a nice summary of the Koran and Islamic beliefs.

      "1. Belief in Allah"

aka as God, Yahweh, Zeus, Jehovah, Mother Nature, etc. should be added to your cleansing neurons.

"2. To believe that everything other than Allah was non-existent. Thereafter, Allah Most High created these things and subsequently they came into existence."

Evolution and the Big Bang or the "Gi-b G-nab" (when the universe starts to recycle) are more plausible and the "akas" for Allah should be included if you continue to be a "crea-tionist".

"3. To believe in the existence of angels."

A major item for neuron cleansing. Angels/de-vils are the mythical creations of ancient civilizations, e.g. Hitt-ites, to explain/define natural events, contacts with their gods, big birds, sudden winds, protectors during the dark nights, etc. No "pretty/ug-ly wingy thingies" ever visited or talked to Mohammed, Jesus, Mary or Joseph or Joe Smith. Today we would classify angels as f–airies and "tin–ker be-lls". Modern de-vils are classified as the de-mons of the de-mented.

"4. To believe that all the heavenly books that were sent to the different prophets are true. However, apart from the Quran, all other books are not valid anymore."

Another major item to delete. There are no books written in the spirit state of Heaven (if there is one) just as there are no angels to write/publish/distribute them. The Koran, OT, NT etc. are simply books written by humans for humans.

Prophets were invented by ancient scribes typically to keep the un-educated masses in line. Today we call them for-tune tellers.

Prophecies are also invali-dated by the natural/God/Allah gifts of Free Will and Future.

"5. To believe that all the prophets are true. However, we are commanded to follow the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) alone."

Mohammed spent thirty days "fasting" (the Ramadan legend) in a hot cave before his first contact with Allah aka God etc. via a "pretty wingy thingy". Common sense demands a neuron deletion of #5. #5 is also the major source of Islamic vi-olence i.e. turning Mohammed's "fast, hunger-driven" hallu-cinations into horrible reality for unbelievers.
Walk these Five Steps and we guarantee a complete recovery from your Islamic ways!!!!

Before one can focus on the needs of others, rising to the role assigned to you in this life, father, priest, philosopher, must be prioritized. Rather than closing yourself off from serving others, becoming compitent in your role allows for the self-esteem and compasion to shine your Light on the trail for others. My role as Keeper of the Refuge, a piece of Earth to sustain my bloodline herd, has allowed for the sheltering of many in need of a fire to share in this wilderness.

Rachel – There is a point there. There are Arab Jews. The article does appear that they are taking aim at a race. I wonder if they would have had a issue with a Persian Jews dating Jewish women.

and Hindu.... we can spend an entire blog just on the untouchables in their community and the caste system.

If a Hindu family wanted their daughter to marry a Hindu man, nobody would complain.

If a Mormon family wanted their child to marry another Mormon, again, nobody would complain.

But when a Jewish family says it, we are called racists.

Again, I suggest that it"s not the "marry within your own tribe" message. It's the additional attacks on a specific tribe that doesn't impress others.

Think as well with out intermarriage the race becomes weaker specially close family marriages!
After all I think the blog said Arabs not allowed and not Muslims? And Arabs could be Muslims or Christians or Jews or atheists? So which are you stating about religious marriages is not up there or maybe it was I misunderstanding as normally I do??

      December 31, 2010 at 7:15 pm |
    • Muneef

It said Arabs men and Jewish women only which cleary points out who is the racist now?? It was mentioned as Muslims then it is matter of religious issues?!

      December 31, 2010 at 7:20 pm |
    • Muneef

It should have been clealy stated that you meant to say Egyptians that you do not want your jewish women to marry when they go on trips to Sinai Shorm Alsheikh and similar areas...! I know Egypt is com paining the same thing having their men merry Israeli Jew women...and all this is not religious but politics each is fearing of spies being planted within them...while Egyptians marrying irately women for getting a chance to work in Israel and improve status and living...think Israeli women maybe found hard to get married from their own for a reason or another and had to look for men else where to get married to....

      December 31, 2010 at 8:27 pm |
    • Muneef

Unless it was meant with it even local Israeli Arabs even if are Jews would not be accepted for marrying non Arab Jews? Well then that is another issue ?? And wonder if anything about non Arab Jews marrying Arab Jews ??
Only then it will appear if it is racism or not...!

I think we all need a laugh !!!!!
A woman asks man who is traveling with six children,
      "Are all these kids yours?"*
The man replies, "No, I work in a condom factory and these
      are customer complaints".

Nominated as the best short joke this year...
A three-year-old boy was examining his testicles while taking a bath.
Mom" he asked, "are these my brains?"
      "Not yet," she replied.

I dialed a number and got the following recording:** **
"I am not available right now, but
Thank you for caring enough to call.
I am making some changes in my life.
Please leave a message after the
Beep. If I do not return your call,
You are one of the changes." for the New Year 2011...

Saving Muslims is quite easy!!! (This year and every year to follow)

The Five Steps To Deprogram 1400 Years of Islamic Myths:
