What is the Muslim Brotherhood?

he Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt this week urged its followers to protest after Friday prayers - the first time in the latest wave of unrest the group has made such a call.

The Muslim Brotherhood is a religious and political group founded on the belief that Islam is not simply a religion, but a way of life. It advocates a move away from secularism, and a return to the rules of the Quran as a basis for healthy families, communities, and states.

The movement officially rejects the use of violent means to secure its goals. However, offshoots of the group have been linked to attacks in the past, and critics blame the Brotherhood for sparking troubles elsewhere in the Middle East. Many consider it the forerunner of modern militant Islamism.

So... what people are saying is that the Muslim Brotherhood is kinda like the African National Congress? You know, how if the ANC came into power in South Africa, the country would turn into a godless communist stronghold, and thus it was the courage of the Afrikaaners that kept terrorist groups (since the ANC while preaching non-violence had the Umkontho We Sizwe) at bay to preserve freedom?

    Huh.

And the IRA. What a bunch of terrorists and Papists. Imagine if THEY ever got a say in Northern Ireland! My god the Provisional IRA would do nothing but bomb those poor Ulster Protestants to death. There would be carnage in the street!

I am not pessimistic at all..I have faith in humans. I think it is up to you and your religion to stop the rot that is happening in the heart of some of your believers. You see the terrible things and i am sure you are sad. these people will not listen to christians, or atheists as they they have been told not to trust us. As an atheist i do not hate any one..i would love it if you and your fellows took the lead and denounced the horrors that are being perpetrated on humanity . I believe that you, as a human also hate the horror but there is a fear to speak out. Use the courage that "Allah" gives you to do this.. do not be intimidated. I sense you are a very decent human, as i am, regardless of our beliefs.

Thank you and agree with you about all but not about me talking to extremes since no words would change the brainwash they went through by their imams to prepare then fighting the Russians from Afganistan... It is only responsible for adjusting that mentality is their same programers imams otherwise it would be like talking to a brick wall or tackling a camal... The main thing is that you are to take a good care of Muslims in the state and never let them grow fears from you or become jobless since such acts would assist the penetration of extremism in to their mentality...check which branches of Islam you have and mosques they operate and then read more which of all branches are the most extremes that are to be handled with care, but what I am saying not all branches of Islam be accused of extremes when only a branch or two doing all the mess.

Got mixed up about which Gods we are talking about ? Are they the one's on Earth controlling our lives or are you about God the creator of universe that is worshipped by mankind in different ways, given different names, given different looks and combinations ,partners,sons...others worshiped Satan or made him partner to God...The Message of the "Monotheism" was there from time of existance up to Noah PBUH and the monotheist derived from those saved by Noah named Abraham PBUH who came up then with the message of "Submission" and rebuilt the house of worship in Mecca for religion teachings redirecting pagans worshiping idols, trees,or worshiping many Gods they made and named as in Greek mythology....

Partly correct that Religion is controlling masses! Just as politics does? Who is controlling these masses now ? Or are they uncontrolled now you are saying? Laws control mankind, laws written by mankind weren't they? Were the bases of those laws quoted from those books old the books of fairy tales,as told by many here ?
God has addressed his messages to generations through chosen one's to remind and warn those evil doers and the ones who are astray to come back to the truth but when messanger gives up on his people God would bring upon them heavy natural disasters, losses and grieves...there among any religions or branches of religions you will find people worship and do good deeds for the sake of God and would do all could to raise his name and belief....there are others who careless for it as a religion or faith but taking advantage of the posts for their own personal vast interest or the gangs interests as named by you... "Those are as a Walves using the Sheeps Skins in Disguise for hunting and feeding its greeds". Man is judged by God basis his inner soul intentions in heart and mind? Loving and Fearing God means we should take into considerations of the signs or inspirations which comes more as alarms to those who are doing as God told as commandments in all Holy Books that came upon the sons of Israel by Moses,David,Jesus and then upon Muhammed PBUH who was derived from Ismael son of Abraham PBUB ... All those books landed or inspired are on the base of monotheism and God told he has all the beautiful names known or unknown to us...so no matter what names we call him by Allah,Allahim,God,Lord,Creator,Almighty and so on...
But you have mentioned other religions that worshiped Planets,Stars, idols unendless list of beliefs which were actully reduced by Islam but return it became branches that contained those converted publicly but inner still on their old belief and that what has given Islam a multi cultures and beliefs that have came out of the one islamic belief, that has caused any seeing doings of one accuses the whole bunch under the name of Islam with out any suggrigation between branches. You know I think not all those accounted to Islam or Islamic countries are real Muslim in practice but Muslim only by Coding as by land or family of birth...but they contain all those you might know in beliefs or in disbliefs in their inner soul, heart, mind, that's why we were told we will be judged by our intentions and not by being accounted for religions as followers...

    Ta-Ha sura 20:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Ta. Ha. (1) We have not revealed unto thee (Muhammad) this Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed, (2) But as a reminder unto him who feareth, (3) A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, (4) The Beneficent One, Who is established on the Throne. (5) Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod. (6) And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. (7) Allah! There is no God save Him. His are the most beautiful names. (8).

    Ta-Ha sura 20:
And faces humble themselves before the Living, the Eternal. And he who beareth (a burden of) wrongdoing is indeed a failure (on that Day). (111) And he who hath done some good works, being a believer, he feareth not injustice nor begrudging (of his wage). (112) Thus we have revealed it as a Lecture in Arabic, and have displayed therein certain threats, that peradventure they may keep from evil or that it may cause them to take heed. (113) Then exalted be Allah, the True King! And hasten not (O Muhammad) with the Qur'an ere its revelation hath been perfected unto thee, and say: My Lord! Increase me in knowledge. (114).

Dis-posing of wastes and pollution's in Sea water, river waters, earth bed waters, heavens water...water and air cont-emin-ations surely behind the shortage of our living years and behind all those illnesses and dis-easies...     God said Life on Earth is Just A Drop of Heaven Waters.

If a religious group or sect has a proselytizing theology and/or is demonizing any other group/sect/religion, then it can't possibly be seen as worthy of respect. Once a group/sect starts to believe that it has the only answer to human problems then it has started down the path to extremism. Only religions/groups/sects that believe in harmony and peaceful coexistence with all other groups/sects/religions can we see a way clear for moderation and negotiation.

Islam – the religion of peace (inner peace)

The Muslim Brotherhood is the invisible ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISTS that the Western Elites pretend does not exist. They try to catagorize Muslims as EXTREMISTS and MODERATES. Yet in reality, it is the everyday middle class fundamentalists that are the true flagbearers of Islam.

Muslim Brotherhood, Jamat-e-Islamia in Pakistan-Bangladesh, Jamat-e-Tabligh, these are the three non-violent fundamentalist organizations with 100s of millions of followers across the Muslim World that are the true representative of Islam. They are the ones the West needs to engage if they want to peacefully co-exist with Islam. Ignoring them, or labelling them extremist or terrorist is only going to make things more difficult.

But the right wing think tanks know this, these fundamentalists are visible to the think tanks and policy makers, they are just invisible to the masses here in the West. Because the fundamentalists don't serve Western interests, so they are not worth acknowledging and not worth accepting as equal, different. As Bush said, "you are either with us, or you are evil."

Those are hungry compressed people who couldn't but explode in emotions..but some are taking advantage to rob and steal and would like to keep the conflicts...

And the places of worship are only for Allah, so pray not unto anyone along with Allah. (18) And when the slave of Allah stood up in prayer to Him, they crowded on him, almost stifling. (19) Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I pray unto Allah only, and ascribe unto Him no partner. (20) Say: Lo! I control not hurt nor benefit for you. (21) Say: Lo! none can protect me from Allah, nor can I find any refuge beside Him (22) (Mine is) but conveyance (of the Truth) from Allah, and His messages; and whoso dis-obeyeth Allah and His messenger, lo! his is f-ire of h-ell, wherein such dwell for ever. (23) Till (the day) when they shall behold that which they are promised (they may doubt); but then they will know (for certain) who is weaker in al-lies and less in multi-tude. (24) Say (O Muhammad, unto the dis-believers): I know not whether that which ye are promised is nigh, or if my Lord hath set a distant term for it. (25) (He is) the Knower of the Unseen, and He revealeth unto none His secret, (26) Save unto every messenger whom He hath chosen, and then He maketh a gu-ard to go before him and a gu-ard behind him (27) That He may know that they have indeed conveyed the messages of their Lord. We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness. (85) Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. (86) We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the great Qur'an. (87) Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoy, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. (88) And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, (89) Such as We send down for those who make division, (90) Those who break the Qur'an into parts. (91) Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one, (92) Of what they used to do. (93) So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. (94) Lo ! We are sufficent for thee against the scoffers, (95) Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know. (96) Well know We that thy bosom is times oppressed by what they say, (97) But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 15. Reality

But there is an easy solution:

The Five Steps To Deprogram 1400 Years of Islamic Myths:
( –The Steps take less than two minutes to finish- simply amazing, two minutes to bring peace and rationality to over one billion lost souls- Priceless!!!)

    Are you ready?

Using "The 77 Branches of Islamic "faith" a collection compiled by Imam Bayhaqi as a starting point. In it, he explains the essential virtues that reflect true "faith" (iman) through related Qur’anic verses and Prophetic sayings." i.e. a nice summary of the Koran and Islamic beliefs.
The First Five of the 77 Branches:
    "1. Belief in Allah"

aka as God, Yahweh, Zeus, Jehovah, Mother Nature, etc. should be added to your cleansing neurons.

"2. To believe that everything other than Allah was non-existent. Thereafter, Allah Most High created these things and subsequently they came into existence."

Evolution and the Big Bang or the "Gi-b G-nab" (when the universe starts to recycle) are more plausible and the "akas" for Allah should be included if you continue to be a "crea-tionist".

"3. To believe in the existence of angels."

A major item for neuron cleansing. Angels/de-vils are the mythical creations of ancient civilizations, e.g. Hitt-ites, to explain/define natural events, contacts with their gods, big birds, sudden winds, protectors during the dark nights, etc. No "pretty/ug-ly wingy thingies" ever visited or talked to Mohammed, Jesus, Mary or Joseph or Joe Smith. Today we would classify angels as f–airies and "tin–ker be-lls". Modern de-vils are classified as the de-mons of the de-mented.

"4. To believe that all the heavenly books that were sent to the different prophets are true. However, apart from the Quran, all other books are not valid anymore."

Another major item to delete. There are no books written in the spirit state of Heaven (if there is one) just as there are no angels to write/publish/distribute them. The Koran, OT, NT etc. are simply books written by humans for humans.

Prophets were invented by ancient scribes typically to keep the un-educated masses in line. Today we call them for-tune tellers.

Prophecies are also invali-dated by the natural/God/Allah gifts of Free Will and Future.

"5. To believe that all the prophets are true. However, we are commanded to follow the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)
    alone."
Mohammed spent thirty days "fasting" (the Ramadan legend) in a hot cave before his first contact with Allah aka God etc. via a "pretty wingy thingy". Common sense demands a neuron deletion of #5. #5 is also the major source of Islamic vi-olence i.e. turning Mohammed's "fast, hunger-driven" hallu-cinations into horrible reality for unbelievers.

Walk these Five Steps and we guarantee a complete recovery from your Islamic ways!!!!

Unfortunately, there are not many Muslim commentators/readers on this blog so the "two-minute" cure is not getting to those who need it. If you have a Muslim friend, send him a copy and help save the world.
