Huckabee defends Obama's Christianity

If President Obama is looking for a conservative endorsement, he might find it from potential GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee – at least on the issue of family values.

During a speech at the National Press Club Thursday, Huckabee said it's time for some conservatives to quit questioning the president's Christian faith and added he thinks Obama is a role model for the "primacy of the American family."

"He has personally articulated, not once but numerous times, of his Christian faith. I take him at his word. I have no reason not to. For us to continue to dwell on that is missing the point. I have no disagreement with President Obama as a human being. In fact, I will go so far to say one of the things I respect very much is the role model that he has served as a husband and father," the conservative Republican said during the midday speech in Washington, DC.

    Hud sura 11:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
And there is not a beast in the earth but the sustenance thereof dependeth on Allah. He knoweth its habitation and its repository. All is in a clear Record. (6) And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days – and His Throne was upon the water – that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. Yet if thou (O Muhammad) sayest: Lo! ye will be raised again after death! those who disbelieve will surely say: This is not but evident magic. (7) And if We delay for them the doom until a reckoned time, they will surely say: What withholdeth it? Verily on the day when it cometh unto them, it cannot be averted from them, and that which they derided will surround them. (8) And if we cause man to taste some mercy from Us and afterward withdraw it from him, Lo! he is despairing, thankless. (9) And if We cause him to taste grace after some misfortune that had befallen him, he saith: The ills have gone from me. Lo! he is exultant, boastful; (10) Save those who persevere and do good works. Theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward. (11) A likely thing, that thou wouldst forsake aught of that which hath been revealed unto thee, and that thy breast should be straitened for it, because they say: Why hath not a treasure been sent down for him, or an angel come with him? Thou art but a warner, and Allah is in charge of all things. (12) Or they say: He hath invented it. Say: Then bring ten surahs, the like thereof, invented, and call on everyone ye can beside Allah, if ye are truthful! (13) And if they answer not your prayer, then know that it is revealed only in the knowledge of Allah; and that there is no God save Him. Will ye then be (of) those who surrender? (14) Whoso desireth the life of the world and its pomp, We shall repay them their deeds herein, and therein they will not be wronged. (15) Those are they for whom is naught in the Hereafter save the Fire. (All) that they contrive here is vain and (all) that they are wont to do is fruitless. (16) Is he (to be counted equal with them) who relieth on a clear proof from his Lord, and a witness from Him reciteth it, and before it was the Book of Moses, an example and a mercy? Such believe therein, and whoso disbelieveth therein of the clans, the Fire is his appointed place. So be not thou in doubt concerning it. Lo! it is the Truth from thy Lord; but most of mankind believe not. (17) Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah? Such will be brought before their Lord, and the witnesses will say: These are they who lied concerning their Lord. Now the curse of Allah is upon wrong-doers, (18) Who debar (men) from the way of Allah and would have it crooked, and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter. (19) Such will not escape in the earth, nor have they any protecting friends beside Allah. For them the torment will be double. They could not bear to hear, and they used not to see. (20) Such are they who have lost their souls, and that which they used to invent hath failed them. (21) Assuredly in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. (22) Lo! those who believe and do good works and humble themselves before their Lord: such are rightful owners of the Garden; they will abide therein. (23) The similitude of the two parties is as the blind and the deaf and the seer and the hearer. Are they equal in similitude? Will ye not then be admonished? (24).

    Words of pearls well gathered in lovable design! No one earth can arrange it better...for those who know in words secrets of poems and knowledge are the best judges of existence... Read with you hearts slow and deep..only those hearts hardened as rocks and harder;

The similitude of the two parties is as the blind and the deaf and the seer and the hearer. Are they equal in similitude? Will ye not then be admonished? (24).

ولقد يسرنا القرءان للذكر فهل من مدكر
"And indeed We have made easy (yassarna: we made easy, facilitated) the Qur'an for understanding and keeping in mind (al-Dhikr= to keep in mind, the recollection, that which is thought over). So is there anyone who bears this in their mind?" (54:17, 22, 32 and 40)
اولئك يسرعون فى الخيرت وهم لها سبقون
"It is those who race with one another to improve the quality of life for humanity (al-Khayrat: to surpass in goodness), and it is those who are the forerunners (of mankind)." (23:61)
ومن احسن قولا ممن دعا الى الله وعمل صلحا وقال اننى من المسلمين
Who is better in saying than one who invites to God, and perform deeds that create justice and peace (3milu saliha: works that reform and restore the balance), and says: "I am one of those who gives over to peace (al-Muslimin from salama: to give over to peace and welfare)." (41:33)
يايها الذين ءامنوا كونوا قومين لله شهداء بالقسط ولا يجرمنكم شنان قوم على الا تعدلوا اعدلوا هو اقرب للتقوى واتقوا الله ان الله خبير بما تعملون
"O you who acknowledge [Truth] and create security (amanu: trust, acknowledge, peace & security). Be steadfast & stand up (qawwamin from Qama: to stand up firmly for something) for God [on earth] bearing witness with justice, equity & fairness (al-Qist: to be fair and just even with people who do not deserve it) and let not be incited by hatred (shana'an) for a people, to not act with absolute equity, impartiality & justice (ta'dilu from al-Adl). To act with absolute equity & impartial justice (adilu) is the closest (aqraba from Qaraba: to be near, close) to the duty to guard against what harms mankind (al-Taqwa from ita'qu: to be on guard/aware of what harms, to be shielded). And be aware of God (atqu Allah). Surely God is aware of all your actions." (5:8)
"For each [community] among you have We have appointed a way of progress (Shir'ah: a way to a watering-place, path where everything meets/gets nourishment)  and way of life (minhaj: open road, path of life). And if God had so willed, He could surely have made you all one single community: but [He willed it otherwise] in order to test you by means of what He has vouchsafed unto, you. So, outdo one another in doing good to the society. To God you will all return, and He will then make you understand wherein you differed." (5:48)
"They respond to their Maintainer of Evolution (Rabb: to sustain the evolution towards maturity) by establishing the movement towards [Peace] (Salat: to move towards something, i.e. we are guided to the state of peace 10:25), and conduct their affairs by mutual consultation [Democracy] (Shura: consultation, debate, counsel another), and they keep open for the welfare of others what We have given them. And whenever gross injustice is inflicted upon them, they defend themselves and stand up for their rights (yantasiruna: to defend or aid themselves). But requiting evil may become an evil in itself! (sayyi: to hurt or tyrannize others) So, whoever pardons and makes peace (aslaha: to restore the balance), his reward rests with God. Surely, He does not love the violators of human rights (alThzalimeen: Those that put themselves above others, from Thzalima=to displace something). Certainly, those who stand up for their rights, when injustice befalls them, are not committing any error. The blame is on those who oppress people and cause disorder on the earth resorting to aggression, unprovoked. They are the ones for whom there is an painful retribution. And for he who is patient, perseveres (sabara: to persevere and keep one's charachter) and forgives and protects (ghafara: to protect against consequences) then that is an indication of strength." (42:38-43).

The level of quotes here are so depressing. If this is the level of education in America, no wonder we going down the hill. Except for a couple of blogs most of the others are by delusional religious fanatics. Religion should be a persons private belief & not in the public domain. The capacity of the human mind for swallowing nonsense and spewing it forth in violent and repressive action has never yet been plumbed. The founding fathers of this country knew that there would be religious nuts, therefore they kept (very wisely) the two- State & Religion – distinct and SEPARATE. We are are a secular country it says so in the great seal. Our founding fathers knew about this. That is why the USA *IS* a secular society. It says it right on the great seal, “Novus Ordo Seclorum,“ which is latin for “A new Secular Order. The US is a nation built not on ethnicity, not on religion, not even on history but on an idea.

Each soul earneth only on its own account, nor doth any laden bear another's load.
No laden soul can bear another's load.
And no burdened soul can bear another's burden.
No laden soul will bear another's load.
That no laden one shall bear another's load.

      Al-Anaam sura 06:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Lo! As for those who sunder their religion and become schismatics, no concern at all hast thou with them. Their case will go to Allah, Who then will tell them what they used to do. (159) Whoso bringeth a good deed will receive tenfold the like thereof, while whoso bringeth an ill-deed will be awarded but the like thereof; and they will not be wronged. (160) Say: Lo! As for me, my Lord hath guided me unto a straight path, a right religion, the community of Abraham, the upright, who was no idolater. (161) Say: Lo! my worship and my sacrifice and my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the Worlds. (162) He hath no partner. This am I commanded, and I am first of those who surrender (unto Him). (163) Say: Shall I seek another than Allah for Lord, when He is Lord of all things? "Each soul earneth only on its own account, nor doth any laden bear another's load". Then unto your Lord is your return and He will tell you that wherein ye differed. (164) He it is Who hath placed you as viceroys of the earth and hath exalted some of you in rank above others, that He may try you by (the test of) that which He hath given you. Lo! Thy Lord is swift in prosecution, and Lo! He verily is Forgiving, Merciful. (165).

      Al-Isra sura 17:
And every man's augury have We fastened to his own neck, and We shall bring forth for him on the Day of Resurrection a book which he will find wide open. (13) (And it will be said unto him): Read thy Book. Thy soul sufficeth as reckoner against thee this day. (14) Whosoever goeth right, it is only for (the good of) his own soul that he goeth right, and whosoever erreth, erreth only to its hurt."No laden soul can bear another's load", We never punish until we have sent a messenger. (15) And when We would destroy a township We send commandment to its folk who live at ease, and afterward they commit abomination therein, and so the Word (of doom) hath effect for it, and we annihilate it with complete annihilation. (16).

      Fatir sura 35:
O mankind! Ye are the poor in your relation to Allah. And Allah! He is the Absolute, the Owner of Praise. (15) If He will, He can be rid of you and bring (instead of you) some new creation. (16) That is not a hard thing for Allah. (17) "And no burdened soul can bear another's burden", and if one heavy laden crieth for (help with) his load, naught of it will be lifted even though he (unto whom he crieth) be of kin. Thou warnest only those who fear their Lord in secret, and have established worship. He who groweth (in goodness), groweth only for himself, (he cannot by his merit redeem others). Unto Allah is the journeying. (18) The blind man is not equal with the seer; (19) Nor is darkness (tantamount to) light; (20) Nor is the shadow equal with the sun's full heat; (21) Nor are the living equal with the dead. Lo! Allah maketh whom He will to hear. Thou canst not reach those who are in the graves. (22) Thou art but a warner. (23).

      Az-Zumar sura 35:
If ye are thankless, yet Allah is Independent of you, though He is not pleased with thanklessness for His bondmen; and if ye are thankful He is pleased therewith for you."No laden soul will bear another's load". Then unto your Lord is your return; and He will tell you what ye used to do. Lo! He knoweth what is in the breasts (of men). (7).

      An-Najm sura 35:
Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, (33) And gave a little, then was grudging? (34) Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? (35) Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses (36) And Abraham who paid his debt: (37) "That no laden one shall bear another's load", (38) And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, (39) And that his effort will be seen. (40) And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; (41) And that thy Lord, He is the goal; (42) And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, (43) And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; (44) And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, (45) From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; (46) And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; (47) And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; (48) And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; (49).

Does the word racism only speaks the color of the skin or as well it works as good for faith and religion??

If it does apply, then from the blog posts i can see that America is still suffering racism above all talks of multi culture and freedoms?! Strange to see that most insist for secular country but still insist that the president should be Christian only meaning not of any Abrahamic religion other than Christianity and nor he would be accepted if was an atheist or pagan or of agnostic type?!
Right isn't that what we understand from all posts herewith??

If Obama is such a great man, why is he spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep his birth certificate and all other records under lock and key? Really, what do you actually know of this man?

With the new governor of Hawaii being an old friend of his family, why couldn't he come up with a birth certificate in the Hawaiian medical records?

    Answer? There ain't one.

    • The Truth

      Yogiman, you are delusional.

HALF of the Republicans polled believe that Barack isn't really an American citizen. It is so insanely absurd that it is akin to walking around saying that the Earth is flat.

Here's an impartial, not-partisan site where they show you REAL PICTURES their own writers actually holding Obama's birth certificate:

That information has been publicly posted for MORE THAN TWO YEARS and yet still half the Republican Party is so delusional that they believe something to be true that clearly is not.

But in case seeing the real pictures, the real accounts, the fact that they also show his birth announcement (as if his grandparents did this just in case he might be President one day), etc aren't enough, here is a the list of ACTUAL court cases brought against him on this issue:

Berg v. Obama: Pennsylvania. Aug 2008. Berg was actual a DEMOCRAT and former state deputy Attorney General who filed suit against Obama.

Berg v. Obama: United States Supreme Court. Dec 2008 & Jan 2009 He filed twice to specific Justices. Justice Scalia and Justice Anthony Kennedy thought the suit had no merit. BOTH Scalia and Kennedy were appointed to the Supreme Court by guess who... yep Ronald Reagan.

Berg v. Obama: United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Nov 2009

Martin v Lingle: Circuit Court of Hawaii. Oct 2008

Donofrio v Wells: New Jersey. Went to the US Supreme Court via Justice Clarence Thomas. Dec 2008

Wrotnowski v. Bysiewicz: Connecticut Supreme Court Oct 2008. Went to the United States Supreme Court Dec 2008

Keyes v. Bowen. California Superior Court March 2009. This was filed by Alan Keyes.

Hollister v. Soetoro: United States District Court for the District of Columbia March 2009. This was the aforementioned Berg filing on behalf of Air Force Colonel Hollister against Obama.

Cook v. Obama: United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. July 2009. This was filed US Army Reserve Major Cook. This guy went so far as to say he was going to serve one year in Afghanistan, the Army accepted and then he filed suit in court as a conscientious objector, arguing that his orders were invalid because Obama was not a U.S. citizen and therefore was ineligible to serve as commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

Court-martial of Terry Lakin: US Military Court April 2010. This was Dr. Lt. Colonel Lakin refused to accept orders to go to Afghanistan because Obama was not a US citizen (this is different legally from the above since one volunteered and the other did not).

Barnett v. Obama: US Federal Court for Central California Oct 2009. This was a case involving Alan Keyes yet again.

Ankeny v. Gov. State of Indiana: Indiana Court of Appeals Nov 2009. This was a case where they tried to get Obama/Biden's votes thrown out because Obama was not a citizen.

Citizen Grand Juries: This is where nutcases tried to find some ridiculous loophole in the 5th Amendment and tried to indict Obama themselves. These dolts created a self-imposed "Super American Grand Jury" and found Obama guilty of treason. This was taken to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia in July 2009.

This list goes on and on and on and on and on and on due to a bunch of delusional people who have actually tricked themselves into believing something that is obviously not true. And even if it were true (which it is clearly not), so what? If he was indeed not a citizen, there is a good chance that the US Supreme Court would interpret the Const-itutional intent of the Founding Fathers to have meant that they didn't want a foreigner coming from overseas and becoming President immediately as to take over our nation back in the 1700's. This is PRECISELY why Arnold Schwarzenegger still has the potential to become President. Scwartzenegger can legally be put on the ballot and if he were to win, the US Supreme Court would have to rule on the intent of the Framers and as to whether or not that intent supersedes the voice of the American voter.

In any event, do you know what all of those cases I mentioned above have in common??? OBAMA WON THEM ALL. Even Reagan's own Justices thought it was laughable. His ability to be President has been challenged in nearly every way possible from regular court to District Courts to Superior Courts to Military Courts to the Supreme Court to wild interpretations of the Const-itution. And guess what? NONE OF THEM WORKED. Why? Because Obama is a US CITIZEN.

It's just a waste of time, money and resources.

If his birth had been actually filmed by the hospital, people would say the video is a forgery. If there were 1,000 eye witnesses to his birth, people would claim they are all lying in a big cover up conspiracy. There is no satisfying people like yourself that can't accept reality.

The bigger issue here is to question why HALF of all Republicans are living in delusion about this. This is absolutely frightening. This means that 1/4 of our country is living in so much denial and delusion that it is amazing that we can even function as a country. They might just as well go walking around and tell everyone that Wayne Gretzky isn't really a Canadian and that he played baseball while Babe Ruth is the greatest Canadian hockey player ever. It's literally at that level of absurdity.

Reagan would be appalled at what his party has turned into. He was a man who united America together regardless of circu-mstance. Today, they are doing just the opposite by going out of their way to drive the country apart with blatant lies like this in an attempt to mislead and fool their own followers. It's mindboggling.

In any event, hate Obama's decisions and policies all you want as he's hardly perfect, just don't believe things that are simply not true via evidence never to mind simple common sense. Get a clue and enter the world of reality.

Delusion is an actual mental disorder as defined by the DSM... sorry that you are stuck with one.

I agree with Mr. Huckabee. I take Obama for his word, also. So when I saw him in an interview with George Stephanopaulus? mentioning his religion as Muslim I presumed he was a Muslim.

But when George corrected him, he quickly accepted the correction, which made me wonder; when did he change his faith? Was it such a short time ago he had forgotten?

Sorry, I can't buy that so I'll take him for his word. He is a Muslim.

My reading of the scriptures tells me that although we cannot every be certain about one's relationship to God (in other words is a certain invidividual truly a child of God), we shoudl be able to "know them by their fruits" so what do you say about someone who 1) supports a woman's right to murder her unborn child against God's law, 2) supports officially recognizing those who live in sodmite relationshops and 3) gives credibility to the Islamic faith which denies every basic tenet of the Christian. Is that man truly a Christian? The Bible provides many stern warnings to those who are only hearers of the Word but do not obey God as well as those who boast in what they do but do not truly know Christ.

Yogiman and especially sjc1007 are seeing what's really there in Obama. Christians will understand what this means... do you notice how, in the last 10-15 years, the division between goats and sheep have become so much more distinct? I really feel that the separation of light and dark, as prophesied, is happening before our eyes, and that is a potent sign that tells us where we are along the great timeline of the age.

The three religions of Abraham – Judaism, Christianity and Islam –
can and should be viewed as One Religious Tradition that went in Three Different Directions...!

So as it seems our question about him should be whether he is of "The One Tradition or is One of the Three Different Directions"? Well to tell you the truth of my assumption is that he is of the one tradition which he might have declared it in a concealed way when he said that he is Found of The late President "Abraham Lincoln" and would only take the oath on the old Abrahams Holy Book...that is I remember well...at that he is much better situation for all faiths to be brought together and bring peace than him being only One of the different directions?! Hope you realize the importance of that being true?!

No only the Presidens have to undertake all the Responsibilities,we as Nations as well are responsible.
      By Imam Bukhari
      108. A man is the shepherd of his family
      212. Ibn 'Umar reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "All of you are shepherds and each of you is responsible for his flock. A man is the shepherd of the people of his house and he is responsible. A woman is the shepherd of the house of her husband and she is responsible. Each of you is a shepherd and each is responsible for his flock.
      (Bukhari, Nikah, 91)
In a hadith reported by Abdullah b. Omar Prophet Muhammad said: "We are all shepherds and we are all responsible for those who are under our hands (i.e. in our flocks). An administrator is a shepherd. The man is the shepherd of the family. A woman is the shepherd of her husband's home and children. We are all shepherds and we all are responsible for our duties as such.

Islam came from the teachings of Mohammed but there is no historical connection between his teachings and the faith of Abrham. Abraham is the father of the Jewish faith which is fulfilled in the sending of the Son of God to die on the cross for the sins of His people (or those, both Jew and Gentile) who believe in Him. Those who put their faith and trust in Christ become children of God and are given eternal life. Islam rejects the sacrifice of Christ and His diety as do the Jews.

Just because Islam claims roots back to Abraham does not mean there are any real historical ties nor does it mean it is a true religion worthy of our admiration.

Christ is the eternal Son of God and faith in Him is the only way of salvation.

You sure you read those things some where? Ok who rebuilt the worship house in Mecca with his son Ismael?
Our prophet Muhammed is a decedent of Ismael to son of Abraham...
At the time of Abraham there were not Jews,Christians,Muslims as first as Jews started with Moses (Torah).

      Al-E-Imran sura 03:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O People of the Scripture! Why will ye argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed till after him? Have ye then no sense? (65) Lo! ye are those who argue about that whereof ye have some knowledge: Why then argue ye concerning that whereof ye have no knowledge? Allah knoweth. Ye know not. (66) Abraham was not a Jew, nor yet a Christian; but he was an upright man who had surrendered (to Allah), and he was not of the idolaters. (67) Lo! those of mankind who have the best claim to Abraham are those who followed him, and this Prophet and those who believe (with him); and Allah is the Protecting Guardian of the believers. (68)

      Al-Hajj sura 22:
And strive for Allah with the endeavour which is His right. He hath chosen you and hath not laid upon you in religion any hardship; the faith of your father Abraham (is yours). He hath named you Muslims of old time and in this (Scripture), that the messenger may be a witness against you, and that ye may be witnesses against mankind. So establish worship, pay the poor-due, and hold fast to Allah. He is your Protecting friend. A blessed Patron and a blessed Helper! (78).

      Al-Baqara sura 02:
And when Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundations of the House, (Abraham prayed): Our Lord! Accept from us (this duty). Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Hearer, the Knower. (127) Our Lord! And make us submissive unto Thee and of our seed a nation submissive unto Thee, and show us our ways of worship, and relent toward us. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Relenting, the Merciful. (128) Our Lord! And raise up in their midst a messenger from among them who shall recite unto them Thy revelations, and shall instruct them in the Scripture and in wisdom and shall make them grow. Lo! Thou, only Thou, art the Mighty, Wise. (129) And who forsaketh the religion of Abraham save him who befooleth himself? Verily We chose him in the world, and lo! in the Hereafter he is among the righteous. (130) When his Lord said unto him: Surrender! he said: I have surrendered to the Lord of the Worlds. (131) The same did Abraham enjoin upon his sons, and also Jacob, (saying): O my sons! Lo! Allah hath chosen for you the (true) religion; therefore die not save as men who have surrendered (unto Him). (132) Or were ye present when death came to Jacob, when he said unto his sons: What will ye worship after me? They said: We shall worship thy God, the God of thy fathers, Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac, One God, and unto Him we have surrendered. (133).
