Emotions fly at controversial hearings on Muslim Americans

Editor's Note: CNN’s Soledad O’Brien chronicles the fight over a mosque’s construction in the heart of the Bible Belt. “Unwelcome: The Muslims Next Door” airs at 8 p.m. ET March 27 on CNN.

A congressional panel looking into the radicalization of Muslim Americans convened Thursday to hear testimony, some emotional, from proponents of stronger action to limit the threat of homegrown terrorism as well as critics opposed to sweeping stereotypes.

Despite strong criticism from Muslim Americans and accusations of a McCarthyist revival, House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King, R-New York, defended the controversial hearing as neither "radical or un-American."

"Let me make it clear today that I remain convinced that these hearings must go forward - and they will," King said.

Americans must learn the truth of muslims=wolves in sheeps clothing. They are cunning, and will go to great lengths that the false god they serve, is worshipped and that they will do anything in this god's name, even killing.
My ONE TRUE GOD has never asked me to kill, not even a muslim. I have researched this cult, muslim, and have found that regardless of how much they speak of peace, their one important reason for living is to kill the infidels (Americans). They have power and financing to build mosques throughout the United States and to infiltrate the U.S. political arena by having members elected to any and all positions.
America has tried to be just and fair to its immigrants, but we are being played for a fool. Our efforts at humanitarian acts is going to bite us in the butts! It's time to stop or maybe move to the countries the immigrants have left behind?
I believe God will judge the U.S. and all Nations regarding what they did to help the less fortunate, but I also believe He will judge the nations that came against us, chopping off the arm that was extended to them. He will also judge the ones who were deceptive and evil; the muslims and the islamic regimen.

I agree that Islam is the worst of the major religions, but there are many don't think about it much.
Like christians, there's a huge number who really don't give much of a crap about it.
They are probably the happiest ones in there, too.
Science is way more fun and much more cool than religion. And it's real.

Religion will never beat science without cheating and lying and faking.

Both of you are so funny talking like that on a planet where the scientific development is polluting everything and making it non-habitable.

    Do you know why exactly Muslims are hated for? It is for Reading & Reciting the Quran & follow its Religion of Islam which should have to take in to faith & Belief in the words of the following verses;

    Al-Baqara sura 02:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
And they say: Allah hath taken unto Himself a son. Be He glorified! Nay, but whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth is His. All are subservient unto Him. (116) The Originator of the heavens and the earth! When He decreeth a thing, He saith unto it only: Be! and it is. (117) And those who have no knowledge say: Why doth not Allah speak unto us, or some sign come unto us? Even thus, as they now speak, spake those (who were) before them. Their hearts are all alike. We have made clear the revelations for people who are sure. (118) Lo! We have sent thee (O Muhammad) with the truth, a bringer of glad tidings and a warner. And thou wilt not be asked about the owners of hell-fire. (119) And the Jews will not be pleased with thee, nor will the Christians, till thou follow their creed. Say: Lo! the guidance of Allah (Himself) is Guidance. And if thou shouldst follow their desires after the knowledge which hath come unto thee, then wouldst thou have from Allah no protecting friend nor helper. (120) Those unto whom We have given the Scripture, who read it with the right reading, those believe in it. And whoso disbelieveth in it, those are they who are the losers. (121) O Children of Israel! Remember My favour wherewith I favoured you and how I preferred you to (all) creatures. (122) And guard (yourselves) against a day when no soul will in aught avail another, nor will compensation be accepted from it, nor will intercession be of use to it; nor will they be helped. (123).

    An-Nisa sura 04:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O mankind! The messenger hath come unto you with the Truth from your Lord. Therefor believe; (it is) better for you. But if ye disbelieve, still, lo! unto Allah belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. Allah is ever Knower, Wise. (170) O People of the Scripture! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three" – Cease! (it is) better for you! – Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from His transcendent majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender. (171).

    Al-Maeda sura 05:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers. (72) They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve. (73) Will they not rather turn unto Allah and seek forgiveness of Him? For Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. (74) The Messiah, son of Mary, was no other than a messenger, messengers (the like of whom) had passed away before him. And his mother was a saintly woman. And they both used to eat (earthly) food. See how We make the revelations clear for them, and see how they are turned away! (75) Say: Serve ye in place of Allah that which possesseth for you neither hurt nor use? Allah it is Who is the Hearer, the Knower. (76) Say: O People of the Scripture! Stress not in your religion other than the truth, and follow not the vain desires of folk who erred of old and led many astray, and erred from a plain road. (77).

    Al-Tawba sura 09:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger nor, acknowledge the Religion of Truth from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission and feel themselves subdued. (29) The Jews call Uzayr a son of Allah and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouths; (in this) they but imitate what the Unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth! (30) They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah, and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; Yet they were commanded to worship but one Allah: there is no god but He. Praise and glory to him: (far is He) from having the parents they associate (with him). (31) Fain would they extinguish Allah's light with their mouths but Allah will not allow but that His light should be perfected, even though the unbelievers may detest (it). (32) It is He who hath sent His Messenger with Guidance and Religion of Truth to proclaim it over all religion, even though the pagans may detest (it). (33).

    Yunus sura 10:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
And thou (Muhammad) art not occupied with any business and thou recitest not a Lecture from this (Scripture), and ye (mankind) perform no act, but We are Witness of you when ye are engaged therein. And not an atom's weight in the earth or in the sky escapeth your Lord, nor what is less than that or greater than that, but it is (written) in a clear Book. (61) Lo! verily the friends of Allah are (those) on whom fear (cometh) not, nor do they grieve? (62) Those who believe and keep their duty (to Allah). (63) Theirs are good tidings in the life of the world and in the Hereafter – There is no changing the Words of Allah – that is the Supreme Triumph. (64) And let not their speech grieve thee (O Muhammad). Lo! power belongeth wholly to Allah. He is the Hearer, the Knower. (65) Beware ! To Allah belongeth whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth Those who follow aught instead of Allah follow not (His) partners. They follow only a conjecture, and they do but guess. (66) He it is Who hath appointed for you the night that ye should rest therein and the day giving sight. Lo! herein verily are portents for a folk that heed. (67) They say: Allah hath taken (unto Him) a son – Glorified be He! He hath no needs! His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. Ye have no warrant for this. Tell ye concerning Allah that which ye know not? (68) Say: Verily those who invent a lie concerning Allah will not succeed. (69) This world's portion (will be theirs), then unto Us is their return. Then We make them taste a dreadful doom because they used to disbelieve. (70).

    Al-Isra sura 17:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Say (unto mankind): Cry unto Allah, or cry unto the Beneficent, unto whichsoever ye cry (it is the same). His are the most beautiful names. And thou (Muhammad), be not loud-voiced in thy worship nor yet silent therein, but follow a way between. (110) And say: Praise be to Allah, Who hath not taken unto Himself a son, and Who hath no partner in the Sovereignty, nor hath He any protecting friend through dependence. And magnify Him with all magnificence. (111).

    Al-Kahf sura 18:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Praise be to Allah Who hath revealed the Scripture unto His slave, and hath not placed therein any crookedness, (1) (But hath made it) straight, to give warning of stern punishment from Him, and to bring unto the believers who do good works the news that theirs will be a fair reward, (2) Wherein they will abide for ever; (3) And to warn those who say: Allah hath chosen a son, (4) (A thing) whereof they have no knowledge, nor (had) their fathers, Dreadful is the word that cometh out of their mouths. They speak naught but a lie. (5) Yet it may be, if they believe not in this statement, that thou (Muhammad) wilt torment thy soul with grief over their footsteps. (6) Lo! We have placed all that is in the earth as an ornament thereof that We may try them: which of them is best in conduct. (7) And lo! We shall make all that is therein a barren mound. (8).

    Maryam sura 19:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
And they say: The Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a son. (88) Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing (89) Whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall in ruins, (90) That ye ascribe unto the Beneficent a son, (91) When it is not meet for (the Majesty of) the Beneficent that He should choose a son. (92) There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave. (93) Verily He knoweth them and numbereth them with (right) numbering. (94) And each one of them will come unto Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. (95) Lo! those who believe and do good works, the Beneficent will appoint for them love. (96) And We make (this Scripture) easy in thy tongue, (O Muhammad) only that thou mayst bear good tidings therewith unto those who ward off (evil), and warn therewith the froward folk. (97) And how many a generation before them have We destroyed! Canst thou (Muhammad) see a single man of them, or hear from them the slightest sound? (98).

    Al-Anbiya sura 21:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in play. (16) If We had wished to find a pastime, We could have found it in Our presence – if We ever did. (17) Nay, but We hurl the true against the false, and it doth break its head and lo! it vanisheth. And yours will be woe for that which ye ascribe (unto Him). (18) Unto Him belongeth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those who dwell in His presence are not too proud to worship Him, nor do they weary; (19) They glorify (Him) night and day; they flag not. (20) Or have they chosen Gods from the earth who raise the dead? (21) If there were therein Gods beside Allah, then verily both (the heavens and the earth) had been disordered. Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Throne, from all that they ascribe (unto Him). (22) He will not be questioned as to that which He doeth, but they will be questioned. (23) Or have they chosen other gods beside Him? say: Bring your proof (of their godhead). This is the Reminder of those with me and those before me, but most of them know not the Truth and so they are averse. (24) And We sent no messenger before thee but We inspired him, (saying): There is no God save Me (Allah), so worship Me. (25) And they say: The Beneficent hath taken unto Himself a son. Be He glorified! Nay, but (those whom they call sons) are honoured slaves; (26) They speak not until He hath spoken, and they act by His command. (27) He knoweth what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for him whom He accepteth, and they quake for awe of Him. (28).

    Al-Furqan sura 25:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Blessed is He Who hath revealed unto His slave the Criterion (of right and wrong), that he may be a warner to the people. (1) He unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, He hath chosen no son nor hath He any partner in the Sovereignty. He hath created everything and hath meted out for it a measure. (2) Yet they choose beside Him other gods who create naught but are themselves created, and possess not hurt nor profit for themselves, and possess not death nor life, nor power to raise the dead. (3) Those who disbelieve say: This is naught but a lie that he hath invented, and other folk have helped him with it, so that they have produced a slander and a lie. (4) And they say: Fables of the men of old which he hath had written down so that they are dictated to him morn and evening. (5) Say (unto them, O Muhammad): He who knoweth the secret of the heavens and the earth hath revealed it. Lo! He ever is Forgiving, Merciful. (6).

    As-Saaffat 37:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Now ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons? (149) Or created We the angels females while they were present? (150) Lo! it is of their falsehood that they say: (151) Allah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie. (152) (And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons. (153) What aileth you? How judge ye? (154) Will ye not then reflect? (155) Or have ye a clear warrant? (156) Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. (157) And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). (158) Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), (159).

    Az-Zumar sura 39:
n the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
If Allah had willed to choose a son, He could have chosen what He would of that which He hath created. Be He glorified! He is Allah, the One, the Absolute. (4).

    Al-Jinn sura 72:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Say (O Muhammad): It is revealed unto me that a company of the Jinn gave ear, and they said: Lo! we have heard a marvellous Qur'an, (1) Which guideth unto righteousness, so we believe in it and we ascribe unto our Lord no partner. (2) And (we believe) that He – exalted be the glory of our Lord! – hath taken neither wife nor son, (3) And that the foolish one among us used to speak concerning Allah an atrocious lie. (4) And lo! we had supposed that humankind and jinn would not speak a lie concerning Allah – (5).

    Al-Hajj sura 22:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O mankind! Fear your Lord. Lo! the earthquake of the Hour (of Doom) is a tremendous thing. (1) On the day when ye behold it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling and every pregnant one will be delivered of her burden, and thou (Muhammad) wilt see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but the Doom of Allah will be strong (upon them). (2) Among mankind is he who disputeth concerning Allah without knowledge, and followeth each froward devil; (3) For him it is decreed that whoso taketh him for friend, he verily will mislead him and will guide him to the punishment of the Flame. (4).

    Al-Zalzala sura 99:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When Earth is shaken with her (final) earthquake (1) And Earth yieldeth up her burdens, (2) And man saith: What aileth her? (3) That day she will relate her chronicles, (4) Because thy Lord inspireth her. (5) That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds. (6) And whoso doeth good an atom's weight will see it then, (7) And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then. (8).

Guess you have every right to do so when it is your home, but after all you your self were uninvited guests ! Any way at the moment you have every right to kick the drunk and the belligerent ones out of your house, although at the moment you are holding certain guests responsible when they are unrelated to such acts, although many have done worse at present and past but never they were kicked out?
Just might remember from the past that many of you were kicked out off Europe to America and Australia maybe for a similar reason...sorry for that but had to be reminded...

Simplifying the saving of 1.5 billion lost Muslim souls:
There never was and never will be any angels i.e. no Gabriel, no Islam

Simplifying the saving of 2 billion lost Christian souls:
There was and never will be any bodily resurrections i.e. No Easter, no Christianity

Muneef.. If you are a Human, and you say you are, then you are most definitely a member of the great apes closely related to the Bonobos. The evidence tends to back that up...If you fail to see the similarities between us, and the mountain gorillas especially when you look into their eyes then I am so sorry for you. You have missed so much that is important in this world in favor of a mythical book full of unsubstantiated claims. You were no more created by an alien that Harry Potter is real.

      Will try to find out more about that which I am not much aware of but time being have gathered these verses from the Quran about mankind creation;

      Al-Furqan 25:
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
And He it is Who hath created man from water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful. (54).

      Al-Noor sura 24:
Allah hath created every animal of water. Of them is (a kind) that goeth upon its belly and (a kind) that goeth upon two legs and (a kind) that goeth upon four. Allah createth what He will. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things. (45) Verily We have sent down revelations and explained them. Allah guideth whom He will unto a straight path. (46).

      Al-Mumenoon sura 23:
Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; (12) Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; (13) Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! (14) Then lo! after that ye surely die. (15) Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). (16).

      As-Sajda sura 32:
Who made all things good which He created, and He began the creation of man from clay; (7) Then He made his seed from a draught of despised fluid; (8) Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit; and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts. Small thanks give ye! (9).

#The above verses explains the creation of mankind from single cell from water and clay..

      At-Tin sura 95:
Surely We created man of the best stature (4) Then we reduced him to the lowest of the low, (5) Save those who believe and do good works, and theirs is a reward unfailing. (6).

#The above verses explains that man was created of the best stature and then reduced to lowest for a reason...

      Al-Baqara sura 02:
And ye know of those of you who broke the Sabbath, how We said unto them: Be ye apes, despised and hated! (65) And We made it an example to their own and to succeeding generations, and an admonition to the God-fearing. (66).

      Al-Araf sura 07:
And when they forgot that whereof they had been reminded, We rescued those who forbade wrong, and visited those who did wrong with dreadful punishment because they were evil-livers. (165) So when they took pride in that which they had been forbidden, We said unto them: Be ye apes despised and loathed! (166).

#We know animals had some sort of evolution because of crossbreed between them but as for Humans not sure how evolution would come when they were the only specimen, unless you mean that human had crossed breed with animals? Which is not possible otherwise it would have continued up to date!

#But if you meant by evolution that complexion of humans changed through generations? well in such case it is possible that changes took place since we can see that nations have different face complexions and skin colors...but no internal organs differences between them...

Another thing I ought to mention that we have learnt that food and environments have played a role in human body shape and structure... mankind might have depended on raw meats and insects for food before became to know about the use of fire for cooking their foods and before even became to know the wide range of edible vegetables or fruits that we know of today..?

Foods and minerals deficiency has always caused changes to body structure and being a cause for its mutation..which wad learnt about from those new nations who were found recently that were not known of before ...such as those African Kalahari desert Dwarfs or tribes found along the Amazon river or those cave men tribe which was found recently in the middle of the Philippines jungles...

Mutation could happen to mankind due to minerals and vitamins deficiencies in his diet...if we take for an example the sad story of the tree man in Indonesia

      Mutation and Evolution.
Living organisms need to mutate to build a much more complex and more adaptive model for future generations in order to achieve survival.

    • Muneef

      Guess that will suffice to prove that God was capable with the order of ( Be and it comes to Be) for those who were mutated in to Apes as easy as was with the Tree Man who God had made an example with for you to think and learn that we are all from One Cell and those you mentioned were just mutations made for a reason;

Well,I am not much of a scientist and do not normally read that since it is not my field being a businessman....but do agree that gorillas and all do look like humans and act as humans although they are not....or maybe some were humans before they were turned to become what they are now...

We were told that whales were living on land as land creatures before some changes happened to them to become sea water creatures and that is way they are breathing air and giving birth, not like fishes that breath underwater and lay eggs .....seems changes can take place at God's will.

Just excuse me as being a bit de-pre-ssed with all these happenings in MidEast in addition to natural disasters in our world which makes me believe that it could be the end, if not for the whole world then at least for many lives...Now that Ja-p-an earth quack which hear has reached some American st-a-tes as well....just hope that NC le-ak-age does not make it worse....at least thank to God Muslims were not ac-cu-sed for it's happening....!

Muneef..What is going on in the world is considerable. I also feel for those who have died in the earthquakes, and those caught up in the conflicts in the middle east. The earthquakes are natural, and will always be with us..it is what you can expect from a dynamic earth. conflicts sadly will also always be with us as well. None of this means any thing.. I know we will be hearing from the doomsday bunch soon that the "endtimes" are upon us. It is todays communications that give the appearance of Apocalypse.. the instant news and the speed at which it travels. Years back news would run at slower speed and disasters would appear to be spread out or missed altogether. Earthquakes are not caused by any religion, or moral indiscretions or any gods... but plate tectonics

You are right and I thank you for comforting me....although I still think that all that is happening whether natural disasters or conflicts are caused by man's acts....sucking the blood out of earth which we call crude oils is the cause for the sliding of the plate tectonics and polluting of environment has caused scarcity of clean drinking waters and lands erosions minimizing agriculture lands....all such are behind much of the natural disasters that we know of....then comes man's greed and ego to cause all the additional miseries to mankind....

      Earth is being destroyed...
      Al-Baqara sura 02:
And when it is said unto them: Make not mischief in the earth, they say: We are peacemakers only. (11) Beware ! They indeed are the mischief-makers. But they perceive not. (12).

      Al-Baqara sura 02:
Those who break the covenant of Allah after ratifying it, and sever that which Allah ordered to be joined, and (who) make mischief in the earth: Those are they who are the losers. (27).

      Al-Maeda sura 05:
For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind. Our messengers came unto them of old with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but afterwards lo! many of them became prodigals in the earth. (32).

      Hud sura 11:
If only there had been among the generations before you men possessing a remnant (of good sense) to warn (their people) from corruption in the earth, as did a few of those whom We saved from them! The wrong-doers followed that by which they were made sapless, and were guilty. (116) In truth thy Lord destroyed not the townships tyrannously while their folk were doing right. (117) And if thy Lord had willed, He verily would have made mankind one nation, yet they cease not differing, (118).

      Al-Shuara sura 26:
And obey not the command of the prodigal, (151) Who spread corruption in the earth, and reform not. (152).

If only people would listen to the truth of their being....

      Al-Maeda sura 05:
If only the People of the Scripture would believe and ward off (evil), surely We should remit their sins from them and surely We should bring them into Gardens of Delight. (65) If they had observed the Torah and the Gospel and that which was revealed unto them from their Lord, they would surely have been nourished from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them there are people who are moderate, but many of them are of evil conduct. (66).

      Al-Maeda sura 05:
Say O People of the Scripture! Ye have naught (of guidance) till ye observe the Torah and the Gospel and that which was revealed unto you from your Lord. That which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) from thy Lord is certain to increase the contumacy and disbelief of many of them. But grieve not for the disbelieving folk. (68) Lo! those who believe, and those who are Jews, and Sabaeans, and Christians – Whosoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right – there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. (69).

The Quran promises a reward for those who fight and slay unbelievers.

And there is the type of man who gives his life to earn the pleasure of Allah; and Allah is full of kindness to (His) devotees. (S.2, A.207)

Think not of those who are slain in Allahπs way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance from their Lord. (S.3, A.169)

"Those who have left their homes, and were driven out therefrom, and suffered harm in My cause, and fought and were slain, – verily, I will blot out from them their iniquities, and admit them into Gardens with rivers flowing beneath; – a reward from Allah and from Allah is the best of rewards." (S.3, A.195)

Allah hath purchased of the Believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the Garden (of Paradise): They fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: (S.9, A.111; see also S.48, A.16)

With such war cries in the Quran and such promises of rewards from Allah, it is no wonder Islam produces men like Osama Bin Laden and the many Muslim terrorist organizations throughout the world. Proverbs 16:29 well describes Muhammad and anyone else who would teach this violent religion of Islam.

A violent man entices his neighbor, and leads him in a way that is not good.

Surat 9, Ayat 115 says, "Allah will not mislead a people." Allah has mislead untold millions to the eternal torment of the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8; 22:15). For the Lord [Yahweh] abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man (Psalm 5:6), and His soul hates those who love violence (Psalm 11:5; see also Isaiah 66:24).

      Al-Baqara sura 02:
And of mankind is he who would sell himself, seeking the pleasure of Allah; and Allah hath compassion on (His) bondmen. (207).

#That does not specifically say in war slaying others but does say to please God and that could mean many things like continuos worship or fasting or charity or what ever ways...

      Al-E-Imran sura 03:
Think not of those, who are slain in the way of Allah, as dead. Nay, they are living. With their Lord they have provision. (169).

      Al-Baqara sura 02:
And call not those who are slain in the way of Allah "dead." Nay, they are living, only ye perceive not. (154).

#These two verses says that those who die as Martyr in the cause of God are living undead... Same does not specifically say in war only but as well in spreading and teaching the religion or many other things in sake of God...

Well as told for the rest it was speaking about those who were in war with the religion of God,such as those Pagans of Mecca who were attacking and killing Muslims and they had to fight back for their life and freedom of religion...

Guess Christianity was not that peaceful you are trying to reflect, as you have your own history of bloodshed in cause of God&Religion..
But the one you mentioned am not sure that his fight is in cause of God or Religion but for unsettled business accounts he had with those who created him in the first place to fight the soviet out of Afghanistan...so please do not mixup unrelated issues...

The Quran claims to be an additional revelation from God brought through one man, Muhammad (S.53, A.5-18; see also 48:29). In this additional revelation, the Quran confirms the truth of the Bible. In other words, the Quran pronounces the Jewish Scriptures and the gospel of Jesus Islam is the religion of the Quran (or Koran), and in Arabic Islam means "submission to his [Allah's] will" (S.3, A.19). A Muslim is one who is a believer in this religion (e.g. S.33, A.35). Their prophet's name is Muhammad (570-632 AD), and he proclaimed himself to be the "Seal of the Prophets," i.e., the last prophet (S.33, A.40; see also footnote #3731 for this verse, p.1255-1256). The Quran proclaims him to have been "unlettered" (S.7, A.157-158).Christ as truth from Allah.

It was We [Allah] who revealed the Torah (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. (S.5, A.44).

We [Allah] did indeed aforetime give the Book to Moses: Be not then in doubt of its reaching (thee): And We made it a guide to the Children of Israel. (S.32, A.23).

Those who believe (in the Quran). And those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians, and who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. (S.2, A.62; see also 5:69).

Here (in 2:62) the Quran declares a reward for those who believe the Jewish Scriptures, and confirms the truth therein.

But why do they come to thee for decision, when they have (their own) Torah before them?- Therein is the (plain) command of Allah: (S.5, A.43).

The Torah is the first 5 books of the Old Testament, and it is claimed to be the "command of Allah."

And in their footsteps we sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Torah that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light. And confirmation of the Torah that had come before him: (S.5, A.46).

So the Torah (the law), the Jewish Scriptures, and the gospel of Jesus are all truth from Allah according to the Quran, and the Quran simply claims to confirm these prior Scriptures.

Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord: We make no difference (sic) between one and another of them:" (S.2, A.136; bold added, see also 9:111, "In Truth, through the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran:").

To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, (S.5, A.48)

Allah! There is no god but He,- the living, the Self-Subsisting, the Supporter of all. It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step), in truth, the Book, confirming what went before it; and He sent down the Torah (of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus). (S.3, A.2-3).

They said, "O our people! We have heard a Book revealed after Moses, confirming what came before it": (S.46, A.30).

The Quran claims to "confirm" the Bible (Torah, Jewish Scriptures, and gospel of Jesus) and makes no distinction between the Bible and the Quran (S.2, A.136). Yet, the typical Muslim view is that there is a distinction, in that, the Quran has been preserved pure, and the Bible has not.

The Muslim position has always been that the Jewish (and Christian) scriptures as they stand cannot be traced direct (sic) to Moses or Jesus, but are later compilations. (footnote #67 for S.2, A.52, p. 21-22)

In this both the Muslim's and the Quran's hypocrisy is revealed. Their own Quran tells them that the Jewish Scriptures and the gospel of Jesus are true, yet they discard this Quranic teaching with the excuse that the Jewish Scriptures and the gospel of Jesus has been supposedly lost through time. In other words, according to them, Allah did not keep his word. He did not preserve his revelation. Yet, Allah claims that the Quran is pure and he will preserve this revelation.

(It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy. (S.80, A.13-14)

Messenger from Allah, rehearsing scriptures kept pure and holy: (S.98, A.2)

That this is indeed a Quran most honourable, in a Book well-guarded, which none shall touch but those who are clean: (S.56, A.77-79).

The Glorious Quran is the Book of Allah, the Wise and Worthy of all Praise, Who has promised to safeguard it from any violations in its purity. (ibid., preface, p. iii).

Nay, this is a Glorious Quran, (inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! (S.85, A.21-22; the footnote #6066 for verse 22 reads, "The 'Tablet' is 'preserved' or guarded from corruption: xv. 9: for Allah's Message must endure for ever." p. 1932).

We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption). (S.15, A.9; footnote #1944 for this verse declares, "The purity of the text of the Qur-an through fourteen centuries is a foretaste of the eternal care with which Allah's Truth is guarded through all ages. All corruptions, inventions, and accretions pass away, but Allah's pure and holy Truth will never suffer eclipse even though the whole world mocked at it and were bent on destroying it." p. 712).

So, according to them, Allah did not keep his prior revelation pure, but he claims he will keep this one pure? If this truly were the case, Allah has not proved himself to be faithful. If he was unable to keep all his many prior revelations from corruption, who says he is able to keep this Quran pure from corruption? Those who claim "the Jewish (and Christian) scriptures as they stand cannot be traced direct (sic) to Moses or Jesus, but are later compilations" assign to Allah a bad track record and display him to be an unfaithful god.

According to the Quran, Muslims have "no ground to stand upon."

Say: "O People of the Book! Ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Torah. (sic) The Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." (S.5, A.68)

Two of the three pieces of the "ground" are gone. Islam's foundation has been destroyed, if "the Jewish (and Christian) scriptures as they stand cannot be" trusted.

Muslims need to take heed to a concept taught in Sura 5, Ayat 66.

If only they had stood fast by the Torah, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, . . . (S.5, A.66).

If Muhammad had stood fast by the Torah, the gospel, and the prior revelation, he would not have gone astray after this false god, Allah (see below, III. The False God Of The Quran).

The prior revelation Allah claims to have given (i.e. the Bible) proclaims itself to be kept pure (Psalm 12:6-7; Psalm 119:152, 160; Isaiah 30:8-9; 40:6-8; Matthew 24:35; Luke 21:33; 1 Peter 1:23). Allah purports to be consistent with this prior revelation, and challenges people to judge for themselves between the Quran and the Bible.

To Thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, (S.5, A.48; see also verse 47).

If the prior scripture (the Bible) has been corrupted, then here is a command given in the Quran no Muslim can keep; because they have no "scripture that came before it" anymore.

When one is not caught up in such lies, one can compare the Quran with the Bible, and when one does so, it is readily manifest that the Quran does not confirm "the scripture that came before it;" it contradicts it.

      To be continued ...

Who is Allah? He is an impostor.

Woe to each sinful impostor. (S.45, A.7)

Allah claims to be the Truth (S.20, A.114), but Allah lies. Jesus Christ, the Word of God (Revelation 19:13), is the Truth (John 1:1, 14; 14:6). This Word (Hebrews 4:12-13) reveals that false gods, idols, involve demons (Leviticus 17:7; Deuteronomy 32:17; 2 Chronicles 11:15; Psalm 106:37; 1 Corinthians 10:20-21; Revelation 9:20). The reason for this hearing and one that takes priority over any hurt feelings or tears:

To reiterate yet again: Getting to heart of the situation

What instigated the attack on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon? And what continues to drive Muslims to commit global acts of terror and horror? The koran, Mohammed's book of death for all infidels and Muslim domination of the world by any means. Muslims must clean up this book removing said passages admitting that they are based on the Gabriel myth and therefore obviously the hallucinations and/or lies of Mohammed. Then we can talk about the safety and location of mosques and what is taught therein. Until then, no male Muslim can be trusted anytime or anywhere.–

(Dr. Jasser, one of the witnesses at the hearing definitely is aware of the situation within Islam. One hopes he is successful in his attempts to modernize Islam.)

      Jack jeckel,
I disagree with your thoughts that 'all' religion is bad. Having religion or not having religion, people can choose to do bad things to others, regardless of how they arrived at that choice. I have found good people in many religions as well as those who are agnostic and atheist. I have many friends in all of said groups. Radicalization isn't limited to one specific group but I will also add that in our past, religion and politics have caused a lot of suffering and it still continues today. Apparently, as a race, we have yet to grow up.

Ron, although I think your statement is well thought out and well-intentioned I respectfully disagree that some religion is ok. I think it is important to strive to believe as many TRUE things as possible. And the best way to do so is through reason and logic, two things that Religion does not hold up against when applied to it.

Do I think the world be violence free without religion? No, I am not that naive. But I do think it's a good step.

Who ever does bad things is not because being out of love to their religion or belief but it is being done because they were paid handsomely for carrying it out...
      Agree with Ron.
There are good people in religion or those with non religion, as well there are bad in all....but when this is not about being good or bad,it is rather business transaction that was paid for to being done for some political reason or cold wars among groups or nations...

These hearings are about as useful as the McCarthy ones, and will do as much good. There's no more of a "radical Muslim" population in the US than there is "radical Christians." There are bad seeds of every color and creed, but to focus the lens on a single population only sets the precedent that profiling and discrimination are valid. Rather than isolating the Muslim community within the US, we should be embracing them and strengthening our relationships and ties.

    March 10, 2011 at 12:13 pm |
    • Ron

I agree with you on your thoughts. We do need to keep watch on radical Muslims, just as much as we need to keep a watch on radical Christians. Conservative/Radical Christians have killed in the U.S. and have justified this action, just like the radical Muslims have. These two groups are very similar in outlook, imo, control and domination where all laws are based on 'their' beliefs. All groups seem to have their radical side, so being mindful is a constant need.
