Billboard battle over Judgment Day(CNN) - We've told you about the caravan of RVs touring the country to warn people about the end of the world, which they say will begin on May 21. Now, the American Atheists are mounting a counter-campaign. The group has posted a billboard in Oakland, California - home to Family Radio, which is spreading the "awesome news" that Judgment Day is near - declaring that such messages are "nonsense." "The Rapture: You KNOW it's Nonsense," the American Atheists' billboard announces. "2000 Years of 'Any Day Now.'" The billboard - which cost $27,000, according to the group's website - invites passers-by to "Learn the Truth" at the group's "Rapture Party" on May 21-22 in Oakland. The atheists also plan to hold parties in Houston, Texas, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the website says. "This is how religion hurts people, one of the many ways religion hurts people," American Atheists President David Silverman told CNN Oakland, California, affiliate KGO. It seems that there is another group on the scene with a new perspective in disputing Camping's prophesies. They make a compelling statement that "Jesus is here now." Check out a video about their billboard which I think will stir the pot a bit.

With ordinary clothing? Why is the "pope" bathed in glamor, finest of the fine everything? Why does the Catholic Church protect these rapist and lying monsters?
The catholic church protects the rapists because it condones it. People who still support the catholic church are also supporting protecting the rapists and pretty much condone it.

Because the Catholic Church was founded and is maintained by rapists and lying monsters. As a former Catholic, I may be somewhat biased when I say this, but the Catholic Church is the greatest fraud in the history of mankind. Over 90% of their policies and decrees have absolutely no basis in the bible, and just about everything that Jesus said NOT to do, they are doing: Worship of beings other than God (I.e., saints, virgin mary), expensive clothing worn by the clergy, excessive demonstration of false piety by overly public prayer, calling of church leaders 'father.' They've even gone so far as to usurp God's soverign right: the forgiveness of sin, by creating a human intermediary through their practice of 'confession.'
