Muslim group: 2 imams pulled from plane bound for North Carolina

By the CNN Wire Staff

(CNN) - An airline is investigating the removal of two imams from a flight headed to North Carolina, ostensibly because passengers felt uncomfortable with their presence of the pair - both clad in Islamic attire.

The incident occurred Friday on an Atlanta Southeast Airlines flight from Tennessee to North Carolina and it involved Masudur Rahman and Mohamed Zaghloul were wearing traditional Muslim dress, CNN affiliate WCNC reported.

The two - who hold high religious positions in the Muslim community - were headed to North Carolina for a conference on prejudice against Muslims, or Islamaphobia. The meeting is sponsored by the North American Imams Federation.

Two dudes show up wearing KKK gear – it's the same thing. KKK = fear. Muslim = fear. Baptists, mormons or jehovah's didn't drop the towers; Muslims did. Yes, I would feel fear if two imams in their garb showed up on my plane, too. Nothing personal.

I find it so disturbing that Drew Griffin would almost interrogate the two Imams removed from plane in Memphis, seeming to give the impression that such action was highly impossible, unless they did something strange. These kinds of actions have become "rituals" by now, and should not surprise anyone. It's profiling and stereotyping and we should not be naive to assume it's something else. While I think that the killing of Osama is the best gift giving to the world beside breathe, I do not support mistreatment of any group of people. Let's admit it for what it is and clear our conscience. We Christians should not stoop low simply because some of these Muslims have been indoctrinated for their own demise. It's only truth and fairness that would set us all free.

For me as a Muslim I do not care even if you worshiped a cow since you harm no one or cast our faiths and beliefs or show towards us any hatred...God is the judge to your intentions and non else....all you will hear from me are warnings and reminders in efforts to save your skin but have no power over you as no compulsion in religion...those mentioned aggressively in the Quran are the ones who attack Muslim believers or declaring war against Islam...guess thar eligible self-defense...? Or otherwise would you want Muslims to stand defenseless if attacked by some as those you call KKK to crucify them ? Or such as those skin heads or the Neo Nazis with out a move of defense ?.

      Muneef, Muneef, Muneef,

The following is in English and we therefore understand that you might not comprehend all of the steps in the cure of your Three B Syndrome. Please let us know if that is the case and we will send the short form:

The Five Steps To Deprogram/Cure 1400 Years of Islamic Myths:

( –The Steps take less than two minutes to finish- simply amazing, two minutes to bring peace and rationality to over one billion lost souls- Priceless!!!)

      Are you ready?

Using "The 77 Branches of Islamic "faith" a collection compiled by Imam Bayhaqi as a starting point. In it, he explains the essential virtues that reflect true "faith" (iman) through related Qur’anic verses and Prophetic sayings." i.e. a nice summary of the Koran and Islamic beliefs.

The First Five of the 77 Branches:

      "1. Belief in Allah"

aka as God, Yahweh, Zeus, Jehovah, Mother Nature, etc. should be added to your cleansing neurons.

"2. To believe that everything other than Allah was non-existent. Thereafter, Allah Most High created these things and subsequently they came into existence."

Evolution and the Big Bang or the "Gi-b G-nab" (when the universe starts to recycle) are more plausible and the "akas" for Allah should be included if you continue to be a "crea-tionist".

"3. To believe in the existence of angels."

A major item for neuron cleansing. Angels/de-vils are the mythical creations of ancient civilizations, e.g. Hitt-ites, to explain/define natural events, contacts with their gods, big birds, sudden winds, protectors during the dark nights, etc. No "pretty/ug-ly wingy thingies" ever visited or talked to Mohammed, Jesus, Mary or Joseph or Joe Smith. Today we would classify angels as f–airies and "tin–ker be-lls". Modern de-vils are classified as the de-mons of the de-mented.

"4. To believe that all the heavenly books that were sent to the different prophets are true. However, apart from the Quran, all other books are not valid anymore."

Another major item to delete. There are no books written in the spirit state of Heaven (if there is one) just as there are no angels to write/publish/distribute them. The Koran, OT, NT etc. are simply books written by humans for humans.

Prophets were invented by ancient scribes typically to keep the un-educated masses in line. Today we call them for-tune tellers.

Prophecies are also invali-dated by the natural/God/Allah gifts of Free Will and Future.

"5. To believe that all the prophets are true. However, we are commanded to follow the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) alone."

Mohammed spent thirty days "fasting" (the Ramadan legend) in a hot cave before his first contact with Allah aka God etc. via a "pretty wingy thingy". Common sense demands a neuron deletion of #5. #5 is also the major source of Islamic vi-olence i.e. turning Mohammed's "fast, hunger-driven" hallu-cinations into horrible reality for unbelievers.

Walk these Five Steps and we guarantee a complete recovery from your Islamic ways!!!!

Unfortunately, there are not many Muslim commentators/readers on this blog so the "two-minute" cure is not getting to those who need it. If you have a Muslim friend, send him a copy and help save the world.

Analogous steps are available at your request for deprogramming the myths of Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Paganism at your request.

    What's up wit dat?

The Muslims aren't hurting anyone, are they? They just want to rid the world (any way they can) of the infidel (non-believer)

So what if they have to crack some heads along the way. When everyone's butt is in the air and everyone is praying to that child molestor Mohammed, then they will be happy.

      The old Adam.

That was full of hate and hurt what you said! Why is that you cast a Prophet of God of such accusation that had no body before you has dare throw him with such accusation for the past 1,400 years...
Is that what you call freedom of speech ? Is that freedom of speech you are looking for where you can go curse every body freely with out being held accountable?

Well sorry sir we Muslims moderate or not will never accept our faiths and beliefs be insulted in such manner...! And if you were courageous enough just repeat what you had said and I assure you that one out of 20 moderate Muslims might be jealous enough for his faith and will not hesitate taking a chance on you...to him if you die you are gone waste to hell while he has saved his skin from hell and gained for him self the bounty of paradise with 72 virgins just for him....! So who is the losses here stupid....!
I petty you for your post because to me it either came from some abused person childhood for he might had been abused by any Arab or Muslim in his own country or if lived in the MidEast...? Or just a shameless gay to cast such accusation or insult...?

[114:0] In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

[114:1] Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of the people.

[114:2] "The King of the people.

[114:3] "The god of the people.

[114:4] "From the evils of sneaky whisperers.

[114:5] "Who whisper into the chests of the people.

[114:6] "Be they of the jinns, or the people."

So that what he was aiming at ? Well then that's his fault for not being clear with his post...for having marrieds a young girl does not worry me and would have not bothered to answer, but what I thought was that he was accusing him of doing things such as those being accused at certain churches....my appologies to all.

      BG.
How can I be treating some one that I do not know his look like, nor his where about's beside me being very oceans away from where he could be?? Is such situation it is rather called warning advice...

      Peace2All.
Maybe yes I do need the address of the smillys wordpress for certain cases...

      Reality.
Am truly happy with what I am at being a Muslim although still pains me that making a living is taking most of my time from making my proper worship, prayers and to harvest more knowledge, wisdom of my faith and belief....it pains me that I am not good with reciting the Quran since a proper reciting is a knowledge by it self.... Am not perfect but at least have a firm belief in my faith and try at my level best to have at least the minimum level of the morals and ethics that were known of him...wa alhmd lilah..after all we are humans and do make mistakes but the best out of those are the ones who admit and repent from carrying on....

Any way should say they could have wore what the people wore at such places....they were wrong to dress up in their Islamic Imam dress for the occasion before reaching their final destination...

Honestly why would any one wear or take any thing that might cause fears discomfort to those who will be surrounding him ?

As Muslims we were told to eat any thing that we may like but we are told to dress up in a way where people may like, meaning (Clean&Chaste)..

So what's the need for the religious to dress strangely or even pray loudly where they may cause discomfort for other passengers.

Guess Airways has to introduce a dress co-de within her Air way bill otherwise  it might become a way of living for those who enjoy making claims for being rejected.

Actually the dress co-de that is to be named as (Clean&Chaste).... if such is imposed it would be even better for the control of the whole masses of passengers that are seen traveling from state to state and from country to country where some would be wearing only things that are similar to sleeping garments or similar to shorts or underwear's or beachwear's?

Isn't that a careless way of dressing up at such places? Is't such wear hurting to the eyes of other (Clean&Chaste) travelers at airports or to sit by at any air-flight?

Such co-de if imposed would be fair enough for all. Although for future a thought should be given about controlling "Smells" since that do hurt noses as well other than mentioning those who come with long messy hairs, beards and mustaches as cavemen?! isn't that right of rights?

      @ Muneef

"Honestly why would any one wear or take any thing that might cause fears discomfort to those who will be surrounding him ?"

This might be harmful to your reputation – for that I'm sorry... but I agree with you here. Some American airlines have refused to board passengers who are dressed in 'revealing' clothes (under-dressed). Of course they complain. Also, most airlines have rules regarding personal hygiene – if someone stinks... they have to clean up, or they're not allowed on.

      BG.

What to do they are nuts who believed that there is freedom and there is no fear in America...! Might been to busy being religious and therefore not been following the news....! Or freshly they left their cave in America and decided to travel...!

Any way tell me...could a day come that Priests wearing their religious dress will be asked not to board a plane with it? Maybe we will but that will be the date you have your Christian Baptist Church as understand is developing extremism that soon could taken as developing terrorists acts specially in MidEast to creat wars between Muslims and Christians of the one country such as happened in Iraq and now Egypt is following...

Look "American", and forget you're heritage/culture. Speak fluent english. -Just be an American no matter where you or you're are from. Damn you be American(whatever that is.)

Mohammed's Koran (2:190) bans them from attacking anyone without provocation. But the only way Muslims can be guaranteed of going to "heaven" is to be hurt or killed in a Jihad attack. (Koran 4:74) So they need to provoke infidels to do something against them, so they can declare "open season" on infidels. They have been known to kill one of their own and accuse infidels for the sake of Jihad.

Jews and Christians are specifically targeted for attack by Koran 9:29-35. All sincere Muslims have to obey this verse.

The Koran says Muslims are allowed to lie to infidels if they are threatened. However, they broaden the permission to lie to infidels at any time. (Taqqiya) Thus they say they are peaceful and have the same god as the Jews & Christians.

What instigated the attack on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon? And what drives today's 24/7 mosque/imam-driven acts of terror and horror? The koran, Mohammed's book of death for all infidels and Muslim domination of the world by any means. Muslims must clean up this book removing said passages admitting that they are based on the Gabriel myth and therefore obviously the hallucinations and/or lies of Mohammed. Then we can talk about the safety and location of mosques and what is taught therein. Until then, no Muslim can be trusted anytime or anywhere..................................---------------------------------------------------------

Some examples of koranic/mosque driven acts of terror and horror

The Muslim Conquest of India – 11th to 18th century

■"The likely death toll is somewhere between 2 million and 80 million. The geometric mean of those two limits is 12.7 million. "

and the 19 million killed in the Mideast Slave Trade 7C-19C by Muslims.

    2) 9/11, 3000 mostly US citizens, 1000’s injured

    3) The 24/7 Sunni-Shiite centuries-old blood feud currently being carried out in Iraq, US troops killed in action, 3,483 and 925 in non combat roles. 99,901 – 109,143 Iraqi civilians killed as of 3/3/2011/, mostly due to suicide bombers, http://www.iraqbodycount.org/ and http://www.defenselink.mil/news/casualty.pdf

    4) Kenya- In Nairobi, about 212 people were killed and an estimated 4000 injured; in Dar es Salaam, the attack killed at least 11 and wounded 85.[2]

    5) Bali-in 2002-killing 202 people, 164 of whom were foreign nationals, and 38 Indonesian citizens. A further 209 people were injured.

    6) Bali in 2005- Twenty people were killed, and 129 people were injured by three bombers who killed themselves in the attacks.

    7) Spain in 2004- killing 191 people and wounding 2,050.

    8. UK in 2005- The bombings killed 52 commuters and the four radical Islamic suicide bombers, injured 700.

    9) The execution of an eloping couple in Afghanistan on 04/15/2009 by the Taliban.

    10) – Afghanistan: US troops 1,141 killed in action, 242 killed in non-combat situations as of 03/03/2011. Over 40,000 Afghan civilians killed due to the dark-age, koranic-driven Taliban acts of horror

    11) The killing of 13 citizen soldiers at Ft. Hood by a follower of the koran.

    12) 38 Russian citizens killed on March 29, 2010 by Muslim women suicide bombers.

    13) The May 28, 2010 attack on a Islamic religious minority in Pakistan, which have left 98 dead,

    14) Lockerbie is known internationally as the site where, on 21 December 1988, the wreckage of Pan Am Flight 103 crashed as a result of a terrorist bomb. In the United Kingdom the event is referred to as the Lockerbie disaster, the Lockerbie bombing, or simply Lockerbie. Eleven townspeople were killed in Sherwood Crescent, where the plane's wings and fuel tanks plummeted in a fiery explosion, destroying several houses and leaving a huge crater, with debris causing damage to a number of buildings nearby. The 270 fatalities (259 on the plane, 11 in Lockerbie) were citizens of 21 nations.

15 The daily suicide and/or roadside and/or mosque bombings in the terror world of Islam.

    16) Bombs sent from Yemen by followers of the koran which fortunately were discovered before the bombs were detonated.

    17) The killing of 58 Christians in a Catholic church in one of the latest acts of horror and terror in Iraq.

    18) Moscow airport suicide bombing: 35 dead, 130 injured. January 25, 2011.

    19) A Pakistani minister, who had said he was getting death threats because of his stance against the country's controversial blasphemy law, was shot and killed Wednesday, 3/2/2011

    20) two American troops killed in Germany by a recently radicalized Muslim, 3/3/2011

    21) the kidnapping and apparent killing of a follower of Zoraster in the dark world of Islamic Pakistan.

    22) Shariatpur, Bangladesh (CNN 3/30/2011) - Hena Akhter's last words to her mother proclaimed her innocence. But it was too late to save the 14-year-old girl. Her fellow villagers in Bangladesh's Shariatpur district had already passed harsh judgment on her. Guilty, they said, of having an affair with a married man. The imam from the local mosque ordered the fatwa, or religious ruling, and the punishment: 101 lashes delivered swiftly, deliberately in public. Hena dropped after 70 and died a week later.

Reality, yes, good idea, sort of. Being that America is more Christian than Islamic why don't you start by removing all the crazy, hating, genocidal, racist etc passages from your Religion's book, let's assume it's the Bible, then encourage the Jews to remove those from the Torah as well. Muslims should do the same with the Koran. I would think at the end there won't be much of a book left in all 3 cases. It all sounds good if no one forces anyone in doing the stripping. Because, as stupid and full of hatred these 3 books are, here in the US we have Freedom of Religion, regardless of how stupid they could be for you or I, or Bob across the street. People have the right to believe in them. The reason why this is a good thing is because then none has the right to shove down my throat your religious beliefs, and/or sane people have the right to also NOT believe in commonly held backwards beliefs, like a hateful book written by ignoramus 3000 years that somehow had to be inspired by some God, incapable of writing his own book, but inexplicable with the power of creating an entire Universe in only 6 days.

A: Arrgh... You all-or-nothing people drive me crazy. There are many doc-umented examples where members of one religion try to exterminate the members of another religion. Causation is always complex, but if the only difference between two warring groups is religion, then that certainly sounds like a religious conflict to me. Is it the number one cause of mass homicide in human history? No. Of the 22 worst episodes of mass killing, maybe four were primarily religious. Is that a lot? Well, it's more than the number of wars fought over soccer, or s-ex (The Trojan and Sabine Wars don't even make the list.), but less than the number fought over land, money, glory or prestige.

In my Index, I list 41 religious conflicts compared with 27 oppressions under "Communism", 24 under Colonialism, 2 under "Railroads" and 2 under "Scapegoats". Make of that what you will."

The 1.5 million Conservative Jews and their rabbis in the USA have rewritten the Torah to reflect the myths therein basically making it a docu-ment of peace.

Thomas Jefferson did an analogous rewrite of the NT. Ditto for the rewrite of the NT by the Jesus Seminarians, Professor JD Crossan in his over 20 books on the historical Jesus and related subjects and Professor Gerd Ludeman in his book, Jesus After 2000 Years, p. 694-695.

Is there something other than what they were wearing that caused the concern of the passengers? Did they say or do something that arroused concern but not enough to stop them at the TSA check in? Is this fear warrented or not? Were they just going from place to place or were they testing and provoking the people into doing something? There are many more questions that should be answered before assuming the best or worst in people. Having written that last sentence I remember the saying about erroring on the side of safety. Having written that I remember another story that ended "And they came for me but nobody ... ".
Choices are easy when it is good vs bad, but more difficult between levels of good or levels of bad. This may be one of those cases where all the information must be known before deciding.

Gregg, Very excellent points. Lets look at facts before we use every little incident to preach our points of view. Thanks for the "grounding" comments!

not really, other countries profile all the time. We call it racism. I bet you profile in your personal life. Profiling goes on all the time. If law enforcement didn't profile, we'd all be carrying guns.

I will never be on a plane with Muslims. Ever. I don't trust a Muslim. Just my opinion.

I do not blame you: I don't even see Muslim doctors; some of them have already been know for having patiens die in mysterous and unexplained ways and for alleguedly cheating Merdicare to shyphon funds to personal accounts overseas like Iranian born Dr. Lahihi who patiens say he rejoyced in front of them when the planes crashed on the WTC on 9/11.

As an Indian, I'm really surprised at the comments here. The US Govt has done everything to protect it's citizens. If being extra careful ensures that there are no more terrorist attacks after 9/11, what is the problem? We Indians are so fed up with out Govt being politically correct and not executing terrorists since it wants to pacify the Muslim population. India is a larger democracy than the USA. A Pakistani terrorist who killed hundreds of terrorists in Mumbai on 26/11 and was caught on camera is yet given a trial ! How absurd is that! I wish my Govt was like the US govt who sent out a strong message that EVERY single American life is valued.

Thank you, Nick. You are right. We cannot be blamed for these sorts of reactions, even over reactions, when there a hundred thousand incidents of deception, tragedy and misery because of "tolerance". When I hear the Muslim community around the world unconditionally condemn Al Queda, the Taliban, the abuses of women, the absurdity of "cloaking" women and the murder of dissenters, I'll change my mind.

So you're happy to have your rights violated just so long as your hated rival gets screwed? Talk about a pyrrhic "victory".

"Those who are willing to give up liberties for temporary safety deserve neither liberty of safety" ~ Benjamin Franklin
As Americans we need to stand up as a people and say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! Regardless of your religion or race. As Americans we were given liberties by our founding fathers, one of which was FREEDOM OF RELIGION! For those of you who don't know what that means, it simply means that EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO WHATEVER RELIGION YOU WISH TO PRACTICE. Stop the hatred against Islam, Stop the hatred against the Christians, Stop the hatred against the Jews, Stop the hatred against the Hindu, Stop the hatred against the Buddhists, etc etc. We are all ONE in this Republic. The new American Revolution is coming!
    YOU ARE WE THE PEOPLE!!!
    YOU ARE THE RESISTANCE!!!

You are letting fear rule your lives. Terrorists win when you allow this to occur. Americans need to wake up a bit, realize you are surrendering your rights and freedoms because you live in fear, a fear of terror. Not the terror itself. Most "terror" is likely staged or hoaxes like this where these 2 would only profit from it. Snap out of it people!
