It's the end of the world as we know it – so let's go dine

If the doomsday sayers of the Family Radio ministry are to be believed, the people of Earth are set to to meet their end on May 21, 2011. Saying farewell to one's nearest and dearest and preparing a howdy-do to to one's eternal fate is pretty grim business; might as well face it on a full stomach.

If you knew the world's end was imminent, what would you want for your last meal?

Everyone must realize the Judgment Day is coming someday upon everyone for sure. But if someone insists a particular date and a social sensation is caused, you can be sure it's not that date. Jesus told His followers to be ready to meet Him for all time – the wisest living.

Adelina, you say everyone must realize judgement day is coming. Why must I realize that? What evidence do you have that it will occur?

We know that this preacher has a lot of money. What is he going to do with it, he can't take it with him. Why not give it all back to his supporters or better, give it to charity. Has anyone else thought about this? He prays on peoples fears and they give him money. What is he doing with all the money he gets?

I think we should ask this preacher which of the world is he referring to.

Well as most of you have realized...it is now SUNDAY in some parts of the world and it is two hours and counting for 6 PM to actually hit the Holy Land. Now if nothing happens THEN..well I just don't know. This is so ridiculous that he's still carrying on with this nonsense. Also..anyone else notice that the family radio website is now down? Preeeetty weird if you ask me. I'm just very worrled what with his site down and his farewell letter..than they're planning another Jonestown or Heaven's Gate.

@Tritto, Christian missionaries taught us not to. Get civilized by Christian education.

      May 21, 2011 at 3:32 am |
    • Buckminster Fullerene

You mean YOU were doing that before they got there. I would have though some sort of basic human civilization might dictate that that isn't the way to go. No wonder you are so afraid of non Christians. I didn't realize you lived in that sort of antiquated barbaric society.

      May 21, 2011 at 9:45 am |
    • Adelina

@Buck-, I was speaking on behalf of all non-Western former pagans. We had pretty rough customs. Yeah, some of you Western non-believers were nicer than some of us, but it took Christian missionaries to made us civilized and gave us true hope. Giving up their lives, they taught us on God's love and the value of human life. I'm not afraid of non-christians; I've been always surrounded by them. You are hating Christians who gave you everything good.

I am a Christian and am not ashamed to say so. However, I must say this. The bible says: "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,f but only the Father...Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him." Matthew 24:36-43 God says that nobody knows the date of Jesus's coming. Trust in what God says and not in what people say. The mere fact that they say that it is tomorrow, proves biblically that it will not happen tomorrow, because then God would have been lying, because a lot of people ARE expecting it to happen. God is true to His word; No one knows the date. I fear that this will throw a lot of people of Christianity, more than they may already be. Please do not let people contaminate true, biblical Christianity! I pray this with the sincerest heart!

The Heaven has delicacies the world has no or only little ideas about. If you don't believe in Jesus, you will miss it all out and have to believe miserably what you have here is the best you can have. The Savior created you for a far better world but you are forfeiting it in order to enjoy minimal things for a while, ignoring those whom you can help now. Let's stop being selfish and rescue others for His sake. Humans are made to exercise the God-given dignity forever. This article is not the sort of thing you want on the last day of your life; you are not animals.

You are an idiot. You have no way of knowing what is served in heaven. How many times have you died?

You should start your every sentence with, "I believe". You have no proof of anything.

God does not exist. If He does, prove it.

      May 21, 2011 at 12:50 am |
    • Adelina

David, all you needed is reading the Bible. Didn't you go to Sunday school? Please get educated. Atheists don't use "I believe" phrase. I don't need it either.

      May 21, 2011 at 3:27 am |
    • Adelina

David, the degree of atheists' evil and their stupidity is one of the strongest proofs that God exists.

      May 21, 2011 at 3:29 am |
    • Sera

Wow...you are an idiot.Heaven has food we can't even fathom! LIKE OMG! No steak?!?!

lol. Look: 1. How do you even to begin to explain the fact that historically we've proven other religions to be older than Christianity,,,and 2. how can you be so dense? I'm sure if there was a heaven and all that jazz....we would be stuck eternally rejoicing and I'm sure since it's a spirit world we wouldn't have food...did you even read your KJV?

      May 21, 2011 at 11:13 am |
    • Adelina

@Sera: 1. We are all descendants of Adam and then Noah. All the ancients failed to keep the exact recounts except Hebrews. Christianity has the Hebrew Bible, so it's most accurately ancient along with Judaism. None can beat the Jews, as always
      2. There is nothing sensual or sinful in Heaven as the the minds of the redeemed are transformed. The final form of Heaven is not a spiritual world. You meant Paradise – the intermediate stage. The Heaven is a physical, sinless world with tangible spiritual, not carnal, bodies. Jesus in His new body dined after His resurrection; so we know we will. But being able to eat is not the main point in Heaven. You need to know Jesus in order to know the new life. Read the Bible and visit a local Bible-believing church.

      May 22, 2011 at 9:47 am |
    • Adelina

Sera, read Revelation in the New Testament Bible if you are interested in Heaven. But to understand the Book of Revelation, you need to read and understand all the preceding Books of the Bible – from Genesis to Jude. The message of Christianity is mercifully plain and simple, but it's not for lazy simpletons.

Adelina! You appear to be a dedicated Christian, as am I. However, you seem to have fallen pray to this illusion of the world ending on May 21st. Read you bible, line for line, and understand that today is not the day.

I am American. These socalled "Idiodic Americans" are making a point, that it is ridiculous to believe that May 21st is the day. Furthermore, it is the approach that you present that makes non-believers stay non-believers.

You cannot speak for all of Turkey! Please stop being a Jerk for Jesus and an American hater. You are doing more damage than good!

@Random, I kept asking to stop minding this group because nothing major will happen on May 21. I never knew this strange group was making fuss beyond the territory of New York city, USA. I said these commentors are idiotic because they didn't care a bit people who are dead in Turkey because of the earthquake. I love USA, by the way. It used to have a lot more educated, normal people decades ago.

I would start with Kobe Beef, medium rare, with fresh garden greens and long grain and wild rice, served with a nice merlot, followed by a desert of a double of Rednbreast Irish Whiskey and a dinner plate sized 'special brownie' from "That 70's Show". If I'm going, I'm going sated... and happy!

When all believers simultaneously will pee, it would END OF DAYS for all Atheists.

But they don't need to worry much because they don't need no Noah's Ark to save them from the flood of pee, a regular-size canoe would be big enough to accomodate them all including their puppies.
