Capsule containing Pope John Paul II's blood heading to Mexico

By the CNN Wire Staff

MEXICO CITY (CNN) - A capsule containing the blood of Pope John Paul II will be flown to Mexico next week and displayed in more than 100 locations across the country, officials announced Tuesday.

The blood - drawn in a hospital before the pope's death in 2005 - will be on view in Mexico until mid-December, the country's Catholic Bishops Council said.

A collection of relics connected to the former pope and a rendering of his face copied from a mold taken after his death will also be part of the display, officials said.

"In the perception of a Mexico plunged into terror, pain, hopelessness, anguish, vengeance and rancor as a result of insecurity and violence ... the veneration of the relics will be an opportunity for the baptized and people of good will to turn their eyes to God," the Rev. Manuel Corral, the council's public relations secretary, told reporters.

In their journey around Mexico, the relics will travel more than 22,500 kilometers (13,980 miles). They are scheduled to arrive in Mexico City on August 17 and will go on public display August 25.

Nearly 84% of Mexicans say they are Catholic, according to the country's 2010 census.

The former pope - who became a saint in May - developed a close bond with Mexican Catholics and travelled to the country on five papal visits. Church officials trumpeted the relics' impending arrival with a statement titled, "John Paul II returns to Mexico."

"Pope John Paul II as much in his words as in his history has always been a pilgrim of peace," said Bishop Victor Rene Rodriguez Gomez, the bishops council's secretary-general. "The visit of the relics will give us a chance to reflect on these ideas."

"It is the moment to pray for peace," he added.

The Roman Catholic church never left the dark ages. This is gross and vile idoltry and literally necromancy. They lope off other body parts at other times. So far from that actual Christianity in the Bible, it is bothersome that anyone is even part of this antichrist system anymore.

No more or less silly than saying a man rose from the dead, magically ascended to live in the sky, and will return promptly even though it has been 2000 years with a no-show. Or that a monkey god fought a demon to help save reality. Or that an illiterate tribesman had the word of Allah pumped telepathically into his brain. People will clearly believe any silly fantasy to insulate themselves from the bleak fact that the universe does not care about them. The fascinating thing is that they can plainly see that every other fantasy is silly except their own.

He was raisin dead to heavens but not sure if was spiritually raisen or with the dead body...

About that "Monkey God fought a Demon to save Reality" am not sure what got "Reality" to do with Demons and Gods when he believes in non of them...although yes he believes in the story of the "Monkey" that came from no where for no reason that has developed through some evolution process to become the mankind of today...!!

The messages were delivered to human messengers through Angel messengers and are not pumped as studies were pumped into you at you schooling and collage life....!

All our tales are the truth...it is only that your brain is so small to observe the fact of the creator abilities which no one can judge or restrict...!!!

Guess following will be of the present Pope...and here we go each has what he wants... Well guess future it will be possible for other than the Vatican Popes to have their go on their own ways...
OMG. What is happening to the World...What is the Wisdom of allowing this possibilities to take place? Will we be back to the mentality of Worshipping Graves of blood or parts...!?

I guess God is an idolator too since according to some of you protestants reverence of blood is idolatry as well..

    Psalm 72:14] From oppression and violence he redeems their life;
and PRECIOUS is their blood in his sight.

hey priest ... i kinda doubt that verse remotely implies these whose blood is precious to God have their blood in a vile... but then again you voodoo types actually believe the euacharist TURNs into the body and blood of Christ.... how sick are you and demented....

Gerald you are surface skimming, and perverting the Word. PS.72 is symbolic. Not literal.

The blood of a dead corpse, (the pope) is detestable according to Leviticus and Deut.

Whenever you trample on Gods precepts, you'll have idoliatry

I'm not a believer, but that video is bad azz. I love the gothic music in the background. I have to say, though, the new pope does look evil as hell ... plus he was a Nazi Youth! .. I know he was just trying to be a good little Nazi but it's hard to believe he's Pope. I was raised Catholic, and I may no longer be a believer, but it was obvious Pope Paul II was a good man.

Again, we see proof that the Roman Catholic Church is NOT "christian." The Roman church in Rome as shown in the epistle to the Romans IS NOT the same as the one in Rome today! They might claim the Bible and utilize the terminology but the practice of it is totally contrary to the inerrant Word of God. I daresay, by the Holy Spirit, there is NO salvation for sinners in the RCC. "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty" (2 Corinthians 6:17, 18). Amen

You determine this by the display of some blood? I suppose the Jews were not saved because they carried the bones of Joseph around for a while.

Whats so sad is lots of people think this is christianity , when in fact it is peganism perfected.

A woman in Bible prophecy refers to a church. Catholism meets all the criteria for the counterfiet church in Dan. and Rev. I hope catholics wake up and come out of babylon. ( false worship) Wide is the path of destruction.

You mean smashed like the cheribs over the mercy seat? The images that were made just after God supposedly said don't make any images at all. Maybe it's your interpretation that's a bit off. Certainly isn't the Bible.

People who are not catholic or who don't understand are beliefs should be forgiven for their ignorance on this topic, but people who just make remarks just to be insulting and bigoted will have their day as well ,in the mean time, we pray for you and we know that you are been used as instruments of Stan .

Of course, the old "believ or burn" nonsense again. The good news is that there is no satan, no hell and no "loving" god to send us there.

It must be a terrible, stultifying experience to go through life haunted by religious superst.itions. Please don't pass your disease on to your children.

People that are catholics don't understand the Bible. God loves them, but God hates idlatry in any form.

    RCC = Roman Catholic Church

Even if the pope will never say: "I am God's Son!", he de facto behaves like Christ.

The RCC is an extremly strict hierarchy. The pope controls the RCC like Hitler the Third Reich by the Gestapo.

In a way the RCC is a magical body with a head. The head is the pope. The members of the body are not allowed to act according to their own decisions, but according to the decisions of the pope. This is manifested by the Sacrament of Consecration. Every Catholic bishop is directly consecrated by the pope. The bishops again ordain the priests. Thus, the priests are merely slavish members of the pope's body (this is a spirito-magic reality), connected with the pope-head by the magical consecration or ordination.

Conclusion: When a priest abuses a child, in fact a member of the pope's body abuses a child. That means the pope himself abuses the children indirectly by his magical body.

Ya Rainer, I'm just sittin watching my mailbox every day for a letter from the Pope telling me what to do next, which job I can take, which school my kids should go to. Yep you got us figured out. Sheesh!

      August 11, 2011 at 12:23 pm |
    • gerald

Oh and by the way, your close on the majical body. But it's mystical body, the mystical body of Christ and no the Pope has not abused anyone. You seem to take bearing false witness lightly.
