Glenn Beck hosts pro-Israel rally in Jerusalem

American conservative star Glenn Beck hosted a pro-Israel rally with overt Christian overtones in Jerusalem on Wednesday, calling on people around the world to stand with the Jewish state at time when it is facing mounting criticism.

"In Israel, there is more courage in one small square mile than in whole of Europe," Beck said in a politically charged speech at the event. "In Israel, there is more courage in one soldier than in the cold heart of every bureaucrat at the U.N."

At a rally that drew heavily on support from Christian Zionists, Beck's speech was laced with biblical references and apocalyptic phrasing.

"The threats are mounting, and evil is growing; darkness is falling," he said. "Far too many politicians are just too willing to look away. They have turned day into night, good into evil; they have changed the very meaning of our words."

The rally was applauded by some conservative Israelis but was received with mixed emotions in much of the Jewish community.

    Masters of the World in a New World Order;

    "Our race is the Master Race. We are divine gods on this planet. We are as different from the inferior races as they are from insects. In fact, compared to our race, other races are beasts and animals, cattle at best. Other races are considered as human excrement. Our destiny is to rule over the inferior races. Our earthly kingdom will be ruled by our leader with a rod of iron. The masses will lick our feet and serve us as our slaves."

    — Menachem Begin – Israeli Prime Minister 1977–1983

      "The Jewish people as a whole will become its own Messiah. It will attain world dominion by the dissolution of other races, by the abolition of frontiers, the annihilation of monarchy and by the establishment of a world republic in which the Jews will everywhere exercise the privilege of citizenship.

      In this New World Order the children of Israel will furnish all the leaders without encountering opposition. The Governments of the different peoples forming the world republic will fall without difficulty into the hands of the Jews. It will then be possible for the Jewish rulers to abolish private property and everywhere to make use of the resources of the state. Thus will the promise of the Talmud be fulfilled, in which is said that when the Messianic time is come, the Jews will have all the property of the whole world in their hands."

      Feel sorry for the Jews having established what now stands as a knife of their neck;
      “It is essential that the sufferings of Jews. . . become worse. . . this will assist in realization of our plans. . .
      I have an excellent idea. . . I shall induce anti-Semites to liquidate Jewish wealth. . .
      The anti-Semites will assist us thereby in that they will strengthen the persecution and oppression of Jews.
      The anti-Semites shall be our best friends”
      — Theodor Herzl, Founder of Zionism in 1897

      MB Demands Gov't Reviews Foreign Policy Towards Israel Following Border Attacks.
      Following the aggressive Israeli attacks which left Egyptian soldiers at the border dead, the Muslim Brotherhood released a statement Sunday demanding that the Israeli Ambassador be expelled from Egypt and the Egyptian Ambassador in Tel Aviv summoned.

      Thus "muneef" is a LIAR and anti-semite and pulling quotes out of context. He is probably a fanatical Muslim terrorist – he should be killed.

    If there were a god, he/she/it and/or its spirit form would not tolerate the stupidity of Beck thereby proving there is no god. Ditto for all others who consider natural disasters as being the work of some god.

    So sad...all this fighting, bickering, and hatred over differences in religious beliefs that amount to nothing more than weak minded individuals fearing the reality that we humans really ARE on our own. Thanks to the weak minded, man will never experience a time when EVERYONE grasps the real truth: the fact that there is no spirit or presence behind anything. Only then would mankind finally work together and realize true peace and happiness...with no borders, no rich, and no poor. The religious simply cannot grasp the fact that THEY are the reason behind every major problem in the world and not their various good and bad spirits on which they conveniently blame everything. It's just us, mankind...responsible for our own actions.

    People like Beck and Dick Perry...and those who support them for reasons a rationally thinking human being can't begin to reason...have literally lost their minds!!! Their psychotic accusations insinuate that those who aren't like them are possessed by demons and that the world will be coming to an end once a spirit returns. This is a presidential candidate's actual beliefs!!! Not to mention, they accuse Pres. Obama and every other Democrat of spreading the work of the devil. HOW DO PEOPLE ACTUALLY BELIEVE AND FALL FOR THIS MALARKY??? Oh, and since I'm against them, I must be demonized, too....BLAAAAAAH!!!

      I do not endorse beck or rick perry, neither of whoms belief system is compatible with the other, nor do i endorse your position.That may not be demonization,it could simply be that all three of you are jerks.

    The persecution of Jews ever since the diaspora, culminating in the Holocaust, proves they need a homeland. It was actually the British who decided it should be in Palestine (Balfour Declaration). That was when Palestine was a British protectorate under post-World WarI allied agreements that divided the Middle East among the victors. That the Jews displaced many Palestinians and have fought continuous wars to create and preserve their homeland is unfortunate, but violence in the creation and defense of a new state is certainly not unprecedented, but a normal part of many national histories.

    Israel is being a human shield for Europe and America. The West should pay tax to Israel for that role. Christians do always what is good and important.

    I think there is quite enough pandering to Israel what with a delegation of our fine congress people groveling at AIPAC to keep they support and donations. Glen Beck is just another in a long line of Americans who put Israel above America. I agree with cutting all military aid, especially Israel's since they kill and steal land indiscriminately.
