Glenn Beck hosts pro-Israel rally in Jerusalem

American conservative star Glenn Beck hosted a pro-Israel rally with overt Christian overtones in Jerusalem on Wednesday, calling on people around the world to stand with the Jewish state at time when it is facing mounting criticism.

"In Israel, there is more courage in one small square mile than in whole of Europe," Beck said in a politically charged speech at the event. "In Israel, there is more courage in one soldier than in the cold heart of every bureaucrat at the U.N."

At a rally that drew heavily on support from Christian Zionists, Beck's speech was laced with biblical references and apocalyptic phrasing.

"The threats are mounting, and evil is growing; darkness is falling," he said. "Far too many politicians are just too willing to look away. They have turned day into night, good into evil; they have changed the very meaning of our words."

The rally was applauded by some conservative Israelis but was received with mixed emotions in much of the Jewish community.

Hey, rising from being a suicidal drug addict and alcoholic to becoming rich by lying through your teeth, hey, that's the American Dream in action! He'd be a fool not to ride that strange torpedo all the way out to the end.

=========@Reallity==================== If the total income is $800,000 and the adjusted income is LESS than $100,000 I'm OK with that. If it goes higher, the higher it goes the more sceptical I get. I know the ministers of my church all get the same income, accoding to time in service, no matter what size of congregation they have. But, it certaintly doesn't start a $100,000. If they have had 35 yrs in service they may get that. (Of course they may make investments to improve their income, and many of them do.)

He's not conservative icon of anything. And he forgot to mention that "in Israel, there is more fear per capita, more inflation per capita, that in all of Europe" What a moron.

What's that got to do with the price of eggs in China or the price of guns on the street of Damascus Syria right now? If you wish to comment on inflation and fear – Talk about rising prices – people can't buy enough illegal weapons in Syria right now. Folks in Yemen can't even afford a loaf of bread. Leave them joos alone Canuck Kurt and concentrate on looking in your own back yard – recession 2 coming to a big screen near you.

The thronging crowd of five supporters wildly approved of Glenn Beck, though it was later revealed that they were just street people who had been promised a burrito and a pint of whiskey if they clapped and shouted "Beck is a genius!"

Palestinian terrorists in the area were heard to say that Beck wasn't even worth a hand grenade, that the worst thing they could do to the West is let Beck go back to America and keep on ranting.

"In Israel there is more courage in one small square mile than in (the) whole of Europe..."

Says the man who out-lunatics most asylums. I have to ask: Why does anyone even take this moron seriously? The only thing he appeals to is the beyond-lunatic fringe of the right. (I'm talking about the geocentrists and flat-earthers here, not the run-of-the-mill lunatic fringe seen in most conservative circles.)

  18. Reality

There are always economics built into one's beliefs. For example, is Susan Jacoby an atheist because there is money to be made from books, speeches and columns on the subject? Unless she and others in the business of making good income from books, etc. on religion, secularism, or atheism take a vow of poverty, we will never know.

BTW, Glen Beck "earned" $32 million in 2010, http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/04/08/glenn-beck-earned-32-mill_n_529903.html (He lost his inane job at Fox so apparently he is hitting the road with more inanity to make "ends meet". )

    and from guidestar.org

    Rev. Franklin Graham $800,000+/yr.
    Rev. Billy Graham, $400,000/yr
    Rabbi Bradley Hirschfield $331,708/yr
    Rev. Susan Brooks Thistlethwaite, $200,000/yr
    Erica Brown $134,221/yr
    Eboo Patel $120,000/yr.

    >> My edits to the article for humour sake. <<

The American conservative icon Glenn Beck hosted a pro-moron rally with overt Mormon overtones in Jerusalem on Wednesday, calling on people around the world to stand with the Jewish state at time when it is facing mounting criticism for trying to take land to bring on the coming of their mythical god.

"In Israel there is more courage in one small square mile than in whole of Europe," Beck said in a politically charged speech at the event. "In Israel there is more courage in one soldier than in the cold heart of every bureaucrat at the UN." Glenn followed up with "I'm totally not kissing your butts here. I think you're awesome. I'd kiss everyone of you, but not in a gay way, because that would be immoral."

At a rally that drew heavily on support from Christian Zionists, Beck's speech was laced with biblical references and apocalyptic phrasing. Unfortunately, Glenn didn't talk about the locusts with human faces and crowns, because even he thought that was a bit silly.

"The threats are mounting and evil is growing, darkness is falling," he said. "Far too many politicians are just too willing to look away. They have turned day into night, good into evil, they have changed the very meaning of our words." Glenn continued... "Can you tell I'm trying to sound profound and smart by offering cryptic metaphors. I can ramble on for hours without actually saying anything that I'd need to defend. It's great!"

The rally was applauded by some conservative Israelis but was received with mixed emtions in much of the Jewish community who aren't borderline retarded.
