Glenn Beck hosts pro-Israel rally in Jerusalem

American conservative star Glenn Beck hosted a pro-Israel rally with overt Christian overtones in Jerusalem on Wednesday, calling on people around the world to stand with the Jewish state at time when it is facing mounting criticism.

"In Israel, there is more courage in one small square mile than in whole of Europe," Beck said in a politically charged speech at the event. "In Israel, there is more courage in one soldier than in the cold heart of every bureaucrat at the U.N."

At a rally that drew heavily on support from Christian Zionists, Beck's speech was laced with biblical references and apocalyptic phrasing.

"The threats are mounting, and evil is growing; darkness is falling," he said. "Far too many politicians are just too willing to look away. They have turned day into night, good into evil; they have changed the very meaning of our words."

The rally was applauded by some conservative Israelis but was received with mixed emotions in much of the Jewish community.

The only reason the far right supports Israel is that it gives them an excuse for uncontrolled military spending.
Keep in mind that the tools of the trade for right wingers are Hate + Fear.

The Jewish people are wise to avoid this guy. He is mentally unbalanced and his support is dubious at best.

Once again the religion idio... mix in. But WHY is this conflict, what is it all about ? It is about on one side muslim religion that says ITS God and Prophet promised this country to the muslims, and about Christians, that believe it is THEIR holy land, and Jews that believe theta their good promised it to them as israel. In fact it is all nonsense, there is no God that ever said that, there are a couple of self declared "prophets" that were nothing else than liars, and today there ar thousand and millions of brainwashed stupid people that kill each other for a land that contains dirt, sand, salty water. The human race is good, WITHOUT Religion !!

What an unbelievably biased report. The speech I heard was not about hate. Where does CNN come off being so utterly biased in it's reporting. They can't do enough to disparage conservatives. They even spend hugh amounts of money to see Beck. Wow. how very very biased

Glenn Beck is either a fraud and opportunist or he has mental problem (I am opting for the Fraud). The people who think gold comes out of his mouth when he speaks are not in touch with reality (but neither is he). All you have to do is LISTEN to what he says and THINK about it for just a second to understand what is coming out is NOT gold but something a slight shade of brown.

Standing against anti-semitism takes A LOT of courage. "In Israel there is more courage in one small square mile than in whole of Europe." Wow, how true. If only there was the same courage in Europe against Hitler (ditto for the Mid East, where they supported Hitler during WWII).

Like many addicts, Glenn Beck hasn't overcome addiction, he's simply replaced the object of his addiction with another: instead of drugs and alcohol, public attention and egomania are now his poison of choice. Wise people do not listen to college dropouts who rub Vicks Vapo-Rub in their eyes to cry on cue.
