Your Take: Comments on a congressman's conversion to Islam

It's no surprise that our Thursday post on U.S. Rep Keith Ellison's conversion from Catholicism to Islam fetched loads of comments.

Some commenters discerned a pattern of CNN conspiring against Christianity (have they noticed all our thoughtful stories about Christianity?):

RonnieReagan

Anyone notice this pattern?

Again the SHAMEFUL cnn promoting Islam and atheism at the expense of Christianity. I wonder what the schmucks at CNN will do when they realize the hammer is about to be dropped on their daughters by all the MOOSLIMS.

Lots of commenters vented anti-Muslim sentiments:

jamal
I am an Ex-Muslim. I am free, I am happy and I am now a proud Infidel......Islam is the religion of hate and suffocation. Islam is the religion of wife beating and polygamy. Islam is the anti-women religion and it hates free thinking. Islam is a crime against humanity.

Sara
First Muslim member of Congress? Let's hope he's the last.

Some came to the defense of Muslims. The first one in this list is a response to Sara's comment from above:

Knucklehead
You're quite an American. The founding fathers would be proud.

Judge NOT...
As a Christian, I read the Quran after 9/11 because I couldn't believe the news that a Book of God could incite people in such a negative way. I was right, the Holy Quran confirms the Bible and vice versa if you read them both with an open mind. I am very happy that I read both because both teach the right lessons. For those of you nay sayers that say religion is a way to manipulate the weak-minded, how little you know about life and how little you know about your own potential. Read both as books, then study both as a life lesson. By doing this you will find your place in the World and after. God reigns, God is great and God gives peace to those that seek it. Instead of criticizing others, look inward at your emptiness and know that there is an answer, ONE answer. If you can't understand it, I truly pity you.

Many of the people who post on this website seem to never met or befriended a Muslim person and therefore put the face of terrorism on every Muslim they never met. This is why it is important to expose people such as these, people who have never left their little oyster shells, to one of millions of peaceful, law-abiding Muslims in America and one of billions of law abiding Muslims in the world. That is the significance of this story. Otherwise, we run the risk of becoming a developed, civilized nation, super power that is a breeding ground for haters and paranoid nut cases such as the terrorist Anders Behring Breivik (the Norwegian terrorist) in this ever shrinking, increasingly global world.

Lots of commenters expressed alarm about what they said are Islamic threats to American culture and law:

Parkerman
I am not going to say that one religion is better than another, but the lifestyle of Islam is not the lifestyle of the western civilization. I am concerned simply that our lifestyle and the laws and culture that made this country great will be lost. Look how made Muslim run countries are. I do not want any impact Muslim law just because we have Muslim congressman. It does not mix.

And as always, droves of atheists lampooned religion, Muslim and otherwise:

McJesus
I believe in Leprechauns. Can you write a story about me too?

cleareye1
All religions are the same. They are fantasy based and would not survive a generation if they didn't brainwash children before they learn how to think. Maybe Scientology differs, but what is Scientology?

Your pitiful existence will be completely un-effected by this mans shift in faith
If you must complain, can't you complain about something that's noteworthy?
Fanaticism is unflattering to wear, be it Muslim, Christian or otherwise.

    Dear Rep. Ellison,

The terror and aggression instigated by your "good book" as measured by a partial and recent body count
as the koranic/mosque driven acts of terror and horror continue:

The Muslim Conquest of India – 11th to 18th century

■"The likely death toll is somewhere between 2 million and 80 million. The geometric mean of those two limits is 12.7 million. "

and the 19 million killed in the Mideast Slave Trade 7C-19C by Muslims.

    and more recently

    1a) 179 killed in Mumbai/Bombay, 290 injured

1b) Assassination of Benazir Bhutto and Theo Van Gogh

    2) 9/11, 3000 mostly US citizens, 1000’s injured

    3) The 24/7 Sunni-Shiite centuries-old blood feud currently being carried out in Iraq, US troops killed in action, 3,483 and 925 in non combat roles. 99,901 – 109,143 Iraqi civilians killed as of 3/3/2011/, mostly due to suicide bombers, http://www.iraqbodycount.org/ and http://www.defenselink.mil/news/casualty.pdf

    4) Kenya- In Nairobi, about 212 people were killed and an estimated 4000 injured; in Dar es Salaam, the attack killed at least 11 and wounded 85.[2]

    5) Bali-in 2002-killing 202 people, 164 of whom were foreign nationals, and 38 Indonesian citizens. A further 209 people were injured.

    6) Bali in 2005- Twenty people were killed, and 129 people were injured by three bombers who killed themselves in the attacks.

    7) Spain in 2004- killing 191 people and wounding 2,050.

    8. UK in 2005- The bombings killed 52 commuters and the four radical Islamic suicide bombers, injured 700.

    9) The execution of an eloping couple in Afghanistan on 04/15/2009 by the Taliban.

    10) – Afghanistan: US troops 1,141 killed in action, 242 killed in non-combat situations as of 03/03/2011. Over 40,000 Afghan civilians killed due to the dark-age, koranic-driven Taliban acts of horror

    11) The killing of 13 citizen soldiers at Ft. Hood by a follower of the koran.

    12) 38 Russian citizens killed on March 29, 2010 by Muslim women suicide bombers.

    13) The May 28, 2010 attack on a Islamic religious minority in Pakistan, which have left 98 dead,

    14) Lockerbie is known internationally as the site where, on 21 December 1988, the wreckage of Pan Am Flight 103 crashed as a result of a terrorist bomb. In the United Kingdom the event is referred to as the Lockerbie disaster, the Lockerbie bombing, or simply Lockerbie. Eleven townspeople were killed in Sherwood Crescent, where the plane's wings and fuel tanks plummeted in a fiery explosion, destroying several houses and leaving a huge crater, with debris causing damage to a number of buildings nearby. The 270 fatalities (259 on the plane, 11 in Lockerbie) were citizens of 21 nations.

15 The daily suicide and/or roadside and/or mosque bombings in the terror world of Islam.

    16) Bombs sent from Yemen by followers of the koran which fortunately were discovered before the bombs were detonated.

    17) The killing of 58 Christians in a Catholic church in one of the latest acts of horror and terror in Iraq.

    18) Moscow airport suicide bombing: 35 dead, 130 injured. January 25, 2011.

    19) A Pakistani minister, who had said he was getting death threats because of his stance against the country's controversial blasphemy law, was shot and killed Wednesday, 3/2/2011

    20) two American troops killed in Germany by a recently radicalized Muslim, 3/3/2011

    21) the kidnapping and apparent killing of a follower of Zoraster in the dark world of Islamic Pakistan.

    22) Shariatpur, Bangladesh (CNN 3/30/2011) - Hena Akhter's last words to her mother proclaimed her innocence. But it was too late to save the 14-year-old girl. Her fellow villagers in Bangladesh's Shariatpur district had already passed harsh judgment on her. Guilty, they said, of having an affair with a married man. The imam from the local mosque ordered the fatwa, or religious ruling, and the punishment: 101 lashes delivered swiftly, deliberately in public. Hena dropped after 70 and died a week later.

Reality must be getting the facts from a news source that claims "Fair and Balanced". It is unfortunate that you judge a religion (any religion) from what men do. Rather, you should go to the source and study it, discuss it, before jumping to conclusions.

Would you judge the "driver's manual" by a drunk driver who kills someone on the highway, and who has passed the driving course, using the same book that he studied from?

Only for the those interested in a religious update:

      “New Torah For Modern Minds

Abraham, the Jewish patriarch, probably never existed. Nor did Moses. The entire Exodus story as recounted in the Bible probably never occurred. The same is true of the tumbling of the walls of Jericho. And David, far from being the fearless king who built Jerusalem into a mighty capital, was more likely a provincial leader whose reputation was later magnified to provide a rallying point for a fledgling nation.

Such startling propositions – the product of findings by archaeologists digging in Israel and its environs over the last 25 years – have gained wide acceptance among non-Orthodox rabbis. But there has been no attempt to disseminate these ideas or to discuss them with the laity – until now.

The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, which represents the 1.5 million Conservative Jews in the United States, has just issued a new Torah and commentary, the first for Conservatives in more than 60 years. Called "Etz Hayim" ("Tree of Life" in Hebrew), it offers an interpretation that incorporates the latest findings from archaeology, philology, anthropology and the study of ancient cultures. To the editors who worked on the book, it represents one of the boldest efforts ever to introduce into the religious mainstream a view of the Bible as a human rather than divine docu-ment. “

      2. Jesus was an illiterate Jewish peasant/carpenter/simple preacher man who suffered from hallucinations (or “mythicizing” from P, M, M, L and J) and who has been characterized anywhere from the Messiah from Nazareth to a mythical character from mythical Nazareth to a ma-mzer from Nazareth (Professor Bruce Chilton, in his book Rabbi Jesus). An-alyses of Jesus’ life by many contemporary NT scholars (e.g. Professors Ludemann, Crossan, Borg and Fredriksen, ) via the NT and related doc-uments have concluded that only about 30% of Jesus' sayings and ways noted in the NT were authentic. The rest being embellishments (e.g. miracles)/hallucinations made/had by the NT authors to impress various Christian, Jewish and Pagan sects.

The 30% of the NT that is "authentic Jesus" like everything in life was borrowed/plagiarized and/or improved from those who came before. In Jesus' case, it was the ways and sayings of the Babylonians, Greeks, Persians, Egyptians, Hitt-ites, Canaanites, OT, John the Baptizer and possibly the ways and sayings of traveling Greek Cynics.

      earlychristianwritings.com/theories.html

For added "pizzazz", Catholic theologians divided god the singularity into three persons and invented atonement as an added guilt trip for the "pew people" to go along with this trinity of overseers. By doing so, they made god the padre into god the "filicider".

      Current RCC problems:

Pedophiliac priests, an all-male, mostly white hierarchy, atonement theology and original sin!!!!

3., Luther, Calvin, Joe Smith, Henry VIII, Wesley, Roger Williams, the Great “Babs” et al, founders of Christian-based religions or combination religions also suffered from the belief in/hallucinations of "pretty wingie thingie" visits and "prophecies" for profits analogous to the myths of Catholicism (resurrections, apparitions, ascensions and immacu-late co-nceptions).

      Current problems:
Adulterous preachers, pedophiliac clerics, "propheteering/ profiteering" evangelicals and atonement theology,

      3. Mohammed was an illiterate, womanizing, lust and greed-driven, warmongering, hallucinating Arab, who also had embellishing/hallucinating/plagiarizing scribal biographers who not only added "angels" and flying chariots to the koran but also a militaristic agenda to support the plundering and looting of the lands of non-believers.

This agenda continues as shown by the ma-ssacre in Mumbai, the as-sas-sinations of Bhutto and Theo Van Gogh, the conduct of the seven Muslim doctors in the UK, the 9/11 terrorists, the 24/7 Sunni suicide/roadside/market/mosque bombers, the 24/7 Shiite suicide/roadside/market/mosque bombers, the Islamic bombers of the trains in the UK and Spain, the Bali crazies, the Kenya crazies, the Pakistani “koranics”, the Palestine suicide bombers/rocketeers, the Lebanese nutcases, the Taliban nut jobs, the Ft. Hood follower of the koran, and the Filipino “koranics”.

And who funds this muck and stench of terror? The warmongering, Islamic, Shiite terror and torture theocracy of Iran aka the Third Axis of Evil and also the Sunni "Wannabees" of Saudi Arabia.

      Current crises:

The Sunni-Shiite blood feud and the warmongering, womanizing (11 wives), hallucinating founder.

      5. Hinduism (from an online Hindu site) – "Hinduism cannot be described as an organized religion. It is not founded by any individual. Hinduism is God centered and therefore one can call Hinduism as founded by God, because the answer to the question ‘Who is behind the eternal principles and who makes them work?’ will have to be ‘Cosmic power, Divine power, God’."

The caste/laborer system, reincarnation and cow worship/reverence are problems when saying a fair and rational God founded Hinduism."

      Current crises:

The caste system and cow worship/reverence.

      6. Buddhism- "Buddhism began in India about 500 years before the birth of Christ. The people living at that time had become disillusioned with certain beliefs of Hinduism including the caste system, which had grown extremely complex. The number of outcasts (those who did not belong to any particular caste) was continuing to grow."

"However, in Buddhism, like so many other religions, fanciful stories arose concerning events in the life of the founder, Siddhartha Gautama (fifth century B.C.):"

Archaeological discoveries have proved, beyond a doubt, his historical character, but apart from the legends we know very little about the circu-mstances of his life. e.g. Buddha by one legend was supposedly talking when he came out of his mother's womb.

Bottom line: There are many good ways of living but be aware of the hallucinations, embellishments, lies, and myths surrounding the founders and foundations of said rules of life.

Then, apply the Five F rule: "First Find the Flaws, then Fix the Foundations". And finally there will be religious peace and religious awareness in the world!!!!!

Another good person who has found the religion of mercy, love, patience, and much more. Islam is the holy and only the religion which has not been spoiled by humans and God will protect his religion until the day of judgement. People who choice to be Muslim are sacrificing many things in this world since being Muslim means being discriminated. However, it also means being the messenger of God in the earth and live like humans. If someone wouldn't believe that this is the correct religion, they wouldn't cover their heads, pray 5 times in a day, donate 2.5% of her/his wealth every year, fast for an entire month, go to pilgrimage, and many others. So please respect and love the Muslims...

    The main Created Living Energies in the Universe;

Mankind is an Energy "Spirit and Body" that Made of him a Responsible Soul.....
If Body expires consumed by illness or age or accidents...his life as a physical body dies...it leaves us with the Living of the Other Two "Spirit & Soul" unseen, untouched or felt by our physical world of Living..! The life of the "Barzakh", "The Twilight Zone" until the date of resurrection for the judgment date where they grow back from the ground as grass does looking like Locusts on Migration.

Main while until that date only lives another unphysical energy that is "Spirits&Souls" whom were promised that their Eyes Sight would be as Steel meaning very strong...which maybe to watch the consequences of their acts of Deeds Good or Bad which they will be questionable for on judgment date..they can not help or touch or communicate physically with each other... might be possible some say they were able to see them and talk to them in their sleep whom we call the small death...!

Other than those there were other Energy beings Created with different Bodies than the earthly water body that all earthly physical bodies been created of...
One Nation of Many Tribes were the Jinn or Genies whom have "Spirit&Body that Created Soul for them and they fall as to the terms of mankind above... Their bodies told to be of Some Fire of Poisonous Gases...but that does not mean as exactly should look like it just as man was told of rain water and earth soils of different colors made as swamps...but in the end we now to our self look different although in the end we were made of swamps of minerals and now still minerals in a live shape..

The Jinn or Genies lived well back before humans on earth, their first parents made the same choice the mankind parents did so they will be held as humans accountable for their choices in life...the Jinn or Genies because of their slow growth rate they live far longer than humans...some estimated that a Year of ours is a Hundred at theirs...!! GOD told that between us and them Jinn there is a Curtain Seal where we can not see or hear or feel them nor they can see or hear or feel us...!! We are told only sorcerers at both sides can make use of each others although we were told that some Mankind tried to make use of Jinn but faced greater difficulties than they were with before...!!

Another thing we were told that only Satan and his Tribe of Devils of Evil Jinn's and Humans followers...can pass crossing through those Curtain Seals that are between Jinn and ManKind...
Both are being targeted by Satan and his Devils to Stray them from their Roads of Faith in "GOD the Creator of All"..as an ought he made to GOD in Jealousy of Mankind Adam&Eve to stray them all...!!!

GOD has sent the Heavenly Holy Books addressing it to Mankind and Jinn warning them from the Evils of Satan and his Devils not to stray us from the Road of Submission to GOD.

GOD has challenged Mankind and the Jinn with that, even if they team up with each other they will not be able to produce some thing as similar as the words of the Holy Quran nor Can they penetrate between heavens with out the proper knowledge and Permission...!

Before the above named forms of Physical Bodies were created there was the first energy were the Angels who's bodies were produced from"The Light of Lights"...and were given different powers some has more wings to reach higher levels of heavens than others...but all fall in total submission to GOD and no choices  are made but total submission to GOD's instructions and orders...So there might not be falling angels but rather be wingless Angels whether were on Earth or any Planet any where in the Universe...

All above will become in 4D or say 6D live Vision on the date our Eyes become as Steel...and further more on Resurrection and Judgment date when they become judged one by one..appearing in their form as "Body&Soul" only GOD would know if The Spirits will be involved in presence at this stage...even if spirit was not being held accountable or face punishment... Or only the matter involves "Body&Soul" only to pay or receive their bounties for their deeds...

We can notice the rule of 3's here... Three Created Energies "Jinn,Mankind,Angels" and the Three that Formed Mankind being as "Spirit,Body,Soul" in one...

Now did any of the "Heavenly Holy Books" mention that as above other than the Quran...??

    Salam,Peace to all.

And yet again we come to save the likes of Muneef and all of his sisters and brothers of Islam and other useless religions:

      Part 1:

The Five Steps To Deprogram 1400 Years of Islamic Myths:

( –The Steps take less than two minutes to finish- simply amazing, two minutes to bring peace and rationality to over one billion lost souls- Priceless!!!)

      Are you ready?

Using "The 77 Branches of Islamic "faith" a collection compiled by Imam Bayhaqi as a starting point. In it, he explains the essential virtues that reflect true "faith" (iman) through related Qur’anic verses and Prophetic sayings." i.e. a nice summary of the Koran and Islamic beliefs.

The First Five of the 77 Branches:

      "1. Belief in Allah"

aka as God, Yahweh, Zeus, Jehovah, Mother Nature, etc. should be added to your cleansing neurons.

"2. To believe that everything other than Allah was non-existent. Thereafter, Allah Most High created these things and subsequently they came into existence."

Evolution and the Big Bang or the "Gi-b G-nab" (when the universe starts to recycle) are more plausible and the "akas" for Allah should be included if you continue to be a "crea-tionist".

"3. To believe in the existence of angels."

A major item for neuron cleansing. Angels/de-vils are the mythical creations of ancient civilizations, e.g. Hitt-ites, to explain/define natural events, contacts with their gods, big birds, sudden winds, protectors during the dark nights, etc. No "pretty/ug-ly wingy thingies" ever visited or talked to Mohammed, Jesus, Mary or Joseph or Joe Smith. Today we would classify angels as f–airies and "tin–ker be-lls". Modern de-vils are classified as the de-mons of the de-mented.

"4. To believe that all the heavenly books that were sent to the different prophets are true. However, apart from the Quran, all other books are not valid anymore."

Another major item to delete. There are no books written in the spirit state of Heaven (if there is one) just as there are no angels to write/publish/distribute them. The Koran, OT, NT etc. are simply books written by humans for humans.

Prophets were invented by ancient scribes typically to keep the un-educated masses in line. Today we call them for-tune tellers.

Prophecies are also invali-dated by the natural/God/Allah gifts of Free Will and Future.

"5. To believe that all the prophets are true. However, we are commanded to follow the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) alone."

Mohammed spent thirty days "fasting" (the Ramadan legend) in a hot cave before his first contact with Allah aka God etc. via a "pretty wingy thingy". Common sense demands a neuron deletion of #5. #5 is also the major source of Islamic vi-olence i.e. turning Mohammed's "fast, hunger-driven" hallu-cinations into horrible reality for unbelievers.

Walk these Five Steps and we guarantee a complete recovery from your Islamic ways!!!!

Unfortunately, there are not many Muslim commentators/readers on this blog so the "two-minute" cure is not getting to those who need it. If you have a Muslim friend, send him a copy and help save the world.

Analogous steps are available at your request for deprogramming the myths of Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Paganism..

Some said it is our only life we live and the time we become dust and bones we will never be resurrected back..nor will we be judged....they say what are you suggesting is tales of the ancients... It is those that GOD will never forgive or take lightly..
No matter how many signs they come across, they will never admit..sense of destracting pride just as Satan had disobeying GOD orders..!
May GOD guide all those we care for whether we know or do not know well...Amen

Islam is the religion of peace for all,to make this life easy we should respect each other believes, truth will be revealed to all on day of judgement where each one will be accountable for its own deeds.Disrespect other believes is not a decent human attribute, its said if you can't say a good word then keep silence is better,if someone coverts to Islam (as thousands of people do each year around the world) without any force it means there is something appealing in it,instead of writing hateful remarks you fool only yourself,go and read about islam with open mind you will be next to embrace it.
***Read about islam a book written by a muslim scholar only***

Respect is earned and no person or insti_tution will get it if it is demanded. I personally do not have respect for any religion because I think it makes mental slaves out of people worshiping a master that does not exist. I don't think humans should live in such torment especially in this day and age when we have the means to understand and explain the natural world that surrounds us. The myths, legends, and supersti_tions are no longer needed.

If only he would read the Koran he would be disgusted with Islam. Does he realize that once he has accepted Islam as the only "true" religion there is no going back. If he wanted to change his mind he would be condemned to be anihilated in the name of the "all merciful" Allah. The koran has over 500 (yes 500) suras condemning non believers to all kinds of sadisitic fates because they do not believe in the "one and only" Allah. Here is just a very small sample of them:

Those in hell will beg to be relieved from the Fire's torment for just a day. But the prayer of a disbeliever is in vain. 40:49-50

Those who bicker about Allah's revelations are filled with pride. 40:56

Those who scorn Allah will go to hell. 40:60

Those who deny the revelations of Allah are perverted. 40:63

Those who deny the Scripture and Allah's messengers will be dragged through boiling water and thrust into the Fire. 40:70-72

Allah will taunt the Christians in hell, saying: Where are all my parnters that you used to believe in? 40:73

Thus does Allah send astray the disbelievers (in his guidance). 40:74

Those who scorn will go to hell. 40:76

When they see Allah's doom they will believe in Allah. But their faith will not save them. The disbelievers will be ruined. 40:84-85

    etc etc.

Now I think that a vast majority of Muslims are just like you and me but I do think that they need to denounce many of the scriptures of the Koran just as Christians/Jews should denounce many of the scriptures of the Bible – but even more so.

      btw...there are only 114 surah.

If you were to compile a list of all of the laws in this country alone, how many pages would that be? list the offenses, and the possible punishements? i am guessing in thousands of crimes and hundereds of thousands of punishments. and you are complaining about couple hundered verses?

      get a life, please...

      Phyrro,

It is obvious that what you say is not true and accurate, and you're argument can not be used to condemn Muslims and the religion of Islam. And yes, people who don't believe in God and don't go by what he has asked us to do will go to hell. I don't see why you complain.

Actually, in reference to one of the comments, I think our founding fathers would be proud of this open discussion of religion. What they would shake their heads in shame at is how Christianity seems to be a pre-req for political office.

But, Islam will be hated until Americans find some other group to hate. We can't seem to get united behind anything other than hate. So sad. I think the founding fathers would be anything but proud at how Americans act on anonymous message boards and in real life.

I am happy that Muslims are finally showing up in American political system!!!
Haters!!! live with the fact that 1 in 5 persons in the world follow it, or moan with agony. lol! BTW! According to a gallop poll, 28% of Muslims in USA are white. Islam is the MOST diverse religion in USA and its women are most educated in USA (2nd to Jewish women). search the net if you want to learn about the facts I just mentioned.

TO All of the arrogant who blame Islam for wife beating, terrorism, and other social problems – LEARN, it is not the religion who teaches these things. It is how the different individuals, groups, and cultures use religion's name to propose their agenda (often unintentional – they haven’t learned the religion correctly).
For example, let's take arranged marriages, there is nothing in Islam that says that arrange marriage is the ONLY way to get married. However, you talk to over 50% of the population in the world, they believe that Islam is tough as it requires a person from marrying a person he/she loves. Anyhow, please learn. Islam teaches Peace!!! NOW live with the fact that 1 in 5 persons in the world follow it, or moan with agony. lol! BTW! According to a gallop poll, 28% of Muslims in USA are white.

All the sufferings that American people are going through today are because of their own bad policies, they themselves are to be blamed for all the hell they are going through, the economic slowdown, the floods they are witnessing, the joblessness to name a few. This is the price they are paying for attacking Iraq, Afghanistan, interfering in Libya, and other Middle East Countries, it is the curse of the innocent people of those countries which is going to see the downfall of America. Still there is time, set your polices right, repent for all the misdeeds you are doing, and learn to respect Islam and inshallah Allah will bring you out of this trouble. Have faith in Allah, he is Supreme no one else.

If Allah liked the middle east so much, why are they mostly so messed up?

      September 3, 2011 at 2:25 am |

Akram, Americans are not suffering; just having not-that-good time like before or expected. Don't be deceived by media. When people suffer, we lose weight. The Middle East and North Africa's problem is their own making because of bad management of evil local governments and illiteracy of the people. It's true USA needs repentance but on infanticide and immorality, not on foreign policies. USA helped the people. Allah told you to accept and trust Isa al Masih(Jesus Christ) and you didn't.

@ On my knees for God's pleasure why is the M.E. so messed up. let get some reasons shall we??
Colonialization by the British for nearly 200 years (divide & conquer), destroying the unity which existed before the British came and started ruling them and using their resources. what do you expect out of people who've been subjected to slavery to become powerful in one day.
letting the bloody Jews into Palestine and supporting them & letting ISRAEL flourish
finally lets point the finger at the very "lovable" US, the country's intelligence agency The CIA and your meddling in the M.E. & putting US puppets as leaders of the M.E. countries ..... need more reasons

US needs repentance from everything bigtime Capitalism (the greed in it)
what did the insurance company AIG do when they were offered a bailout they paid a Million $ each to 20 top executives thats a superb move is it not. the problem the US has that they think they are the ones who can solve everything but can't solve anything in their own land
whats the current debt at the moment (nearly $15 billion) where all that money going to come from (ur pockets & very little out od the CEO's pockets)
& Do not try to take words of our religious texts and use it for your benefit
"Allah told you to accept and trust Isa al Masih(Jesus Christ) and you didn't." look who's talking... maybe you are the one who needs a reality check. We believe In Isa and all the prophets before him. We do not beliive in the version of the Jesus that is shown in the Bible & the Church. We do not believe that he (Jesus) is God or Son of God or He dies for our Sins.
no wonder many christians do not have the notion of accountability.

      for Xenia,

Muslims believe that Isa Al Masih is a prophet the founded Christianity and we respect him and accept him as our profit. In fact, Jesus is mentioned in the Quran just like other prophets are mentioned and just like Prophet Muhammad is.

Why are people fighting Muslims? I don't understand. Just because some people who claim to be Muslims committed crimes. Those Muslims who kill innocent people are not Muslims. So people shouldn't judge Islam by the actions of some heartless people. How about the Jews in Israel? No one seems to argue how they kill the innocent women and children in Palestine. And those that they kill are both Muslims and Christians. No one calls the Israeli's terrorists.
