Muslim outreach since 9/11 does little to improve U.S. image

By Elise Labott and Jill Dougherty, CNN

(CNN) - Support for Islamic extremism has seen a very significant decline since the terrorist attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001. By the time Osama bin Laden was killed by U.S. Navy Seals in May, he and his al Qaeda network had been largely discredited in the Arab and Muslim world.

But with a few exceptions, the Muslim world's image of the United States is still pretty awful.

How did we end up here – not much better than we were before 9/11?

    U.S. Can improve image by fighting all corruptions;

I still say corruptors on this planet are although called Businessmen but they are as equal as terrorists and threatening the lives of more people or life on earth even more than terrorists...but how come we have not seen those repent and oppologise ?

Our oceans are being decimated – deep-sea trawlers are clear-cutting our ocean floors leaving vast wastelands. A crucial UN fisheries meeting is happening in 48 hours – and it could be the turning point in the fight against senseless ocean destruction, but only if enough of us speak out now. Sign and forward to everyone:

To members of the UN General Assembly:
As concerned global citizens, we call on you immediately to implement and enforce your obligations to the UN resolutions on fishing and work to ban the destructive practice of deep-sea bottom-fishing. We urge you to usher in a new era of accountability and commitment to our injured oceans by steadfastly holding other nations to their promises to protect oceans and curb devastation.

Strange though nothing mentioned about off shore drilling and the pollutions that result to ocean lives deaths and extinctions and much as those fishermen!!?

Millions of Russian Muslims are celebrating Eid ul-Fitr on Tuesday, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In Moscow mosques were not able to accommodate all worshippers, so people poured into streets and lanes.
The solution has been to allow the people to pray right outside in the street, despite the disapproval of some residents.

Those who should improve the U.S Image are the One's who had created them terrorists for using them, and as well those who were supposed to protect the security of America and all Americans...!?!

A Bedouin was asked,"How do you know your Lord?"

The Bedouin could only reply with (The Example of) that which was before him, so he said, " Droppings tell of a Camel, Foot-Prints tell of a Traveler. The Sky, The Earth with Mountain Passes, Seas with Waves- Do they not tell of the All-Hearer, The All Seer?".

What a load of Political crap and staged political photo ops., Since 9/11 135,000 people have been murdered in the USA...So show me a memorial for those 135,00 people murdered here in the USA. . And no, I do have sympathy for all those killed on 9/11. But clearly you do not have sympathy for the 135,000 victims, you hypocrites. If you did you would have a memorial erected for those 135,000 victims , and add 13,500 to the memorial each year, as they are murdered.

All this wars have nothing to do with religion. its individual hatred and theres no need to stereotype any religion. too much of watching biased CNN network has definitely turned most americans into blockheads. some even think Africa is a country not a continent. and that everyone in Africa is hungry and needs food. lmfao. sheesh! how dumb can people get. y'all need to wake up and go to proper school before judging.

What Muslims need is a Bible education. If anything happens to them in the West, Christians will protect them, as usual.

Come now, have you not heard of Ishmael? Nothing, except the end of time will stop their hatred of God's people.

The subtle wits of American dleaers fly high and low – why? – that is because the past stands too deeply engrained in them and they want to live with it for their moments of excellence – Sarah Palin the excellent lady continues to give a plus to Obama on his creative charge and in that sense, she is indirectly doing good service for America. Republicans should be happy to learn this Truth that has brought America to the state of Light for Obama to pick on it.One thing good about American Democracy is it is “truly participating” and lasting with lessons for others to follow in modernity to tap blue horizons of life. Those blue horizons just do not end in economics that has many minds to tap the financial barometer of the country self educative in working of its affluent class and ordinary class both domestically and internationally relating to perfection with budgeting of money in economic plans that have been existing and are in the process to move charismatically with a tide over where bipartisan element also comes into play well integrated to test the mettle of the top leader of the country who has to stand over the continuous democratic element evolving of the country both in economic as well as inherently in spiritual terms for the good of the people at large mixing with the culture of exchange that has humanity behind it to survive?? By nature, the present President of America has that element in him – I should not be saying this but I am being inherently made to convey this as comment of exception for America and for Obama whose whole (Obama and his better half) stand as an extension through the ex Presidential candidate’s Charisma Of the Secretary Hillary Clinton that President Obama’s Charisma has selflessly absorbed for function in the cabinet gracefully for America and the world. That shows the humbleness of President Obama and maturity of Hillary Clinton of acceptance without a feeling of high and low of ego regarded as exceptional in Divinity.I was not supposed to make this comment and I have done so to urge the Republicans to accept their Light within of consensus through individual projections under control as Obama’s gesture of bipartisanship that will come to address. In short, this comment is all about health and health care where economics alone does not come into the picture with a rigorous analysis on it but should also extend as leverage to the person in play (Obama) who is also selflessly poised with corrections on it over the infra structure of it that he has proposed for approval as ego of his working element as the executive public ally chosen as the President that had appealed to the public at large voting even putting behind able dleaers like McCain?George W Bush was the last to steer America into the Light over the past of America and that stands as the subtle truth even today as on date with Bill Clinton the ex President of America giving support through his excellent independent caliber for Obama ultimately to head the show of America that was time bound of its reality that sees no barriers and to which he accepted well in his individual capacity as the free lance ex President of America. I have to stop here because it basically conveys the essence of this communication for Obama today that he is today to execute for America and the world at large?? – I do not see ego hassles when I am on my draft of communications because they flow spontaneously through me in my absolute “switch off” capacity from the lower realms of life as a being of life for the Being that I am for life.I thank all for bearing with me or rejecting me at the mind levels because that is how I am poised for all life to relish me as food.

It is very disturbing that religious narrow- mindedness, intolerance, violence and hatred continues unabated due to RANDOMNESS of birth. Maybe just maybe if this fact would be published on the first page of every newspaper every day, that we would finally realize the significant stupidity of all religions

Seems logical. But just as the people next door chose not to serve God, so did entire people's including the decendants of Ishmael. There are consequences when one does not derve the true God. Remember, they do not serve Him, not we are all serving nothing.

      Added details:

“John Hick, a noted British philosopher of religion, estimates that 95 percent of the people of the world owe their religious affiliation to an accident (the randomness) of birth. The faith of the vast majority of believers depends upon where they were born and when. Those born in Saudi Arabia will almost certainly be Moslems, and those born and raised in India will for the most part be Hindus. Nevertheless, the religion of millions of people can sometimes change abruptly in the face of major political and social upheavals. In the middle of the sixth century ce, virtually all the people of the Near East and Northern Africa, including Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Egypt were Christian. By the end of the following century, the people in these lands were largely Moslem, as a result of the militant spread of Islam.

      The Situation Today
Barring military conquest, conversion to a faith other than that of one’s birth is rare. Some Jews, Moslems, and Hindus do convert to Christianity, but not often. Similarly, it is not common for Christians to become Moslems or Jews. Most people are satisfied that their own faith is the true one or at least good enough to satisfy their religious and emotional needs. Had St. Augustine or St. Thomas Aquinas been born in Mecca at the start of the present century, the chances are that they would not have been Christians but loyal followers of the prophet Mohammed. “ J. Somerville

It is therefore very disturbing that religious narrow- mindedness, intolerance, violence and hatred continues unabated due to randomness of birth. Maybe, just maybe if this fact would be published on the first page of every newspaper every day, that we would finally realize the significant stupidity of all religions.

The only way we should reach out to muslims is with a one way plane ticket out of here.

  15. YouIdiot!

Just asking....Why does the U.S. have to reach out to Muslims?

Why don't Muslims reach out to the world? After all, the religion of peace is the one who terrorize just about every country they set foot on. Yes, I know, the U.S., as well as other nations do as well. However, the non muslims WANT to kill non muslims.

In the U.S. and the west, there are a lot of mosques being built. How many churches, temples, or synagogues being built in muslim nations?

Funny, when a mosque is destroyed by the west, muslims parade in the streets and burn foreign flags, yet when muslim terrorists bulldoze or bomb a mosque, no muslim parade of outrage, no flag burning. WHY?

I say for every mosque built in the west, a church, temple, or synagogue must be built in a mulsim country. Fair is fair.
