Family credits Virgin Mary statue for saving their house from wildfire

(CNN)– Wildfires are raging in Texas.  At the Garcia's home in Montgomery County, Texas the fire line comes right up to a statue of the Virgin Mary.  The family tells CNN affiliate KTRK they believe the statue helped saved their home.

    You really make it seem really easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be really something that I think I would never understand. It seems too complex and extremely large for me. I am having a look ahead to your next publish, I'll try to get the hang of it!

      They're so angry because they can't stand the idea that they might be wrong. They can't stand the idea that their might be something bigger than themselves. They can't stand the idea that we have something they don't. They can't stand the idea that anyone has something they don't. They can't stand the idea that they aren't better than everyone else. Jesus made it clear that people would hate us for being Christians, so this comes as no surprise to me.

      An event like this happened some years ago in San Diego. There was a large wildfire that burned much of the south rim of Mission Valley. A number of structures were burned and the flames were heading up the hills to a cloister. The nuns hung scapulars on the wall facing Mission Valley, and the fire stopped there.

      Try this prayer to the Blessed Virgin (never known to fail): Oh, most beautiful flower of Mt. Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me that You are my Mother. Oh Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech You from the bottom of my heart to succor me in my necessity (make request). There are none that can withstand Your power. Oh Mary, conveived without sin, pray for us to have recourse to Thee (3 times) . Holy Mary, I place this prayer in Your hands (3 times). Say the prayer for 3 consecutive days. Must be published, and it will be granted to you. Thank you for answering my prayers.

    I still say corruptors on this planet are although called Businessmen but they are as equal as terrorists and threatening the lives of more people or life on earth even more than terrorists...but how come we have not seen those repent and oppologise ?

    Our oceans are being decimated – deep-sea trawlers are clear-cutting our ocean floors leaving vast wastelands. A crucial UN fisheries meeting is happening in 48 hours – and it could be the turning point in the fight against senseless ocean destruction, but only if enough of us speak out now. Sign and forward to everyone:

    To members of the UN General Assembly:
    As concerned global citizens, we call on you immediately to implement and enforce your obligations to the UN resolutions on fishing and work to ban the destructive practice of deep-sea bottom-fishing. We urge you to usher in a new era of accountability and commitment to our injured oceans by steadfastly holding other nations to their promises to protect oceans and curb devastation.

    Strange though nothing mentioned about off shore drilling and the pollutions that result to ocean lives deaths and extinctions and much as those fishermen!!?

    @herbert juarez

    "No ,because Jesus healed people everywhere he went!"

    And he heals people today all over the U.S, right? Well the preachers pray in the name of Jesus to heal people and it happens, right?

    Jesus says many times pray in his name and you will receive.

    17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
    21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
    21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

    11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

    14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
    14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
    14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

    And there you have it. For true believers who pray we have 1) If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it. 2) And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. And Jesus states it in an unequivocal and unconditional manner.

    OK, back to healing. You could really make an impression and bring a lot more sheep into the fold by simply praying to heal people.
    How you may ask. Here's how. Gather several true believers and pray for the healing of amputee soldiers from Iraq and Afghanistan. These people are truly deserving to be healed. Who better than people than who were maimed serving our country.
    So with a group of true believers praying in the name of Jesus for a group of truly deserving Iraq war amputee vets with Jesus' promise that nothing is impossible and Jesus' "If ye ask in my name, I will do it.", they ought to be healed and NO LONGER AMPUTEES. Right? You could truly advance to glory of god.

    However as Carl Sagan once said, "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. So to prevent fraud, I suggest seeking out several war amputees at
    Walter Reed Hospital. These amputees could be thoroughly examined before and after the healing thus providing extraordinary evidence.

    So my challenge for you is to do this and heal some amputees in a SCIENTIFICALLY VERIFIABLE way. You would advance the glory of god and become internationally famous. What more could you ask for?

    Is your belief up to the challenge?

    BRC, DJ, P2A.

    Honestly, I already answered your questions through my previous posts. But it seems that you've give too much leverage on writing and speech that there's less or nothing left for reading and listening comprehension/understanding.

    I'm sorry to tell you that I'm strict with my students and I don't sp-o-on-fe-ed them but since you're not my students, I could be a little lenient by giving you a clue.

    BRC- Try to focus on the 1st paragraph 2nd sentence and 3rd paragraph last line.
    DJ- The entire first paragraph
    P2A- Do the same with BRC

    Kindly read again (and this time) using the little amount of ozzing thing inside left inside your craniums.

    Just in case that thing at the end of your neck lacks the capability to decipher it still. Just do what Hooviles did that maybe I would become lil bit more generous to scoop it into your mouths that you may feast some knowledge.

    There are a lot of things that you need to consider in conceptualizing the context of the bible.

    Let me give at least 3 things to consider:

    First- if the words and commandment really came from God OR only from prophets and other characters in the bible
    Second- if the things that happened are commanded by or will of God, OR just by human's stupidity.
    Third- Also consider the the chronological order of events.

    To address your concern:

    "God sends angels down to save Lott (the righteous) from destruction."

    "Lott (the righteous) offers his two v-i-r-g-i-n daughters to the unruly crowd"

    Let me ask you two two things here:

    1.)Which of the two events occured first? The act was absolutely immoral and unrighteous. Should the act occured first, apparently, God would rather send the two angels to gather sticks and play swords man than saving Lot.

    2.)Did God commanded Lot to offer his two virgins? You should be the one provide the answer and the verses if there is.

    To answer your question:

    The answer is NO, it wasn't "OKAY", there's nowhere in the Bible that God himself says it was. Lot as chosen by God as the most moral man lived (at least in Sodom and Gomorrah) doesn't necessarily mean that anything he do or say is "OKAY" for God.

    As to lot's morality is concern, you should take into consideration that Lot lived in the place where wh-o-re-do-ms,wi-ckedne-ss and all sort of abomination reigns.

    If it surprised you that Lot was chosen as the most moral and righteous person in that place, you better watch the movie "Idiocracy" to see the connection.

    "Since you are such a biblical scholar, here is your chance to shine."

    Thanks for the compliment but I far way off of becoming one. To truly comprehend what really the Bible is; what it say; and what it's purpose doesn't require much of intellect. It only takes belief, faith, humility, prayers (for enlightenment to find the truth though its hard) and a dash of common sense that most (if not all) of you atheist lack of.

    And I didn't come in this blog to shine nor to convince people but to share the knowledge revealed unto me. Should you believe it or not, I simply could care less.

    PS. to DJ...Sorry but I also could care less to those "38,000" spoiled brats if they couldn't meet in the park for a group date. I have an awesome date of my own.

      @Dhard Truth

      The fact that you don't care that your bible is worthless as a guide to your god's will, should be important to you. Your thoughts on the bible being the word of god or containing the word of god is just your opinion. The 38,000 other denominations all have opinions based on the same bible. Worthless.

      But, I bet you feel your god, in your heart! As I pointed out to Herbie, it is just brain chemistry. All the other believers – even believers in other gods – experience the same feelings.

      What is your proof that you are correct and everyone else who does not share your beliefs are wrong? What is your proof that your Christian god is the one true god?

      @DJ...you said:

      "The fact that you don't care that your bible is worthless as a guide to your god's will,"

      What I said was, I could care less whether you believe me or not AND I also I could care less about the 38,000 denomination, if their minds couldn't met on a common interpretation of the Bible.

      Apparently, your challenge in reading comprehension is getting worst, each of your replies had just made it more obvious.

      And FYI...Bible being a strong proof of God's existence is concurred by at least 3 billion people. How about you DJ? How many of you sharing a godless opinion, specifically atheist? 2 millions? That's pretty immaterial.

    @herbert juarez

    I have a puzzler for you. You don’t have to answer, just think about it.

    Regarding Noah’s Ark,

    1) How did the m-a-r-s-u-p-i-a-l-s on the isolated island continent of Australia make it to the ark? How about the flightless Kiwi?
    2) How did the Silver Sword plants that inhabit high a-l-t-i-t-u-d-e-s on Mt Haleakala make it to the ark? Since these plants cannot survive at sea level, how was their environment controlled? Were there air conditioners?
    3) How were the dinosaurs herded, fed and stalls cleaned?
    4) How were the salt water and fresh water fish simultaneously saved?
    5) In D-e-a-t-h Valley CA, there are P-u-p Fish that only survive in highly saline water and hot temperatures. How did they make it to the ark and how was their environment maintained? Maybe they had their own air conditioner.
    6) Since the flood was a new covenant erasing all past sins, why were all the forms of pestilence saved?
    7) How were the T – s – e – t – s – e fly, mosquitos, etc. maintained and separated from the rest of the animals. I guess they were in glass containers; Oooo wait, glass was not around then.
    8) How were nasty biological things like E-b-o-l-a, A-n-t-h-r-a-x, E-c-o-l-i, etc contained? What kind of biological protection suit was used to protect the people from these?

    As one can imagine this is but a small list of puzzlers regarding the Ark.

      Penguins and polar bears would have been interesting, as well. How long did it take the British Navy to sail to the Falklands? Imagine how long it would take a polar bear to swim from the North Pole! Longer than 40 days. LOL!
