Hmm, in MN we have a very large muslim population and they are accomodated very well. Including not having food in the work area during Ramadan. I do get a bit upset when people insist on praying during the day. The Koran says, if they cannot pray during the times assigned then they can make up for it later. So...whats the problem? MN's are very tolerant of other religions and welcome the insight but sometimes it just gets to be too much. Its always in the news, this muslim didn't get this, or this muslim couldn't do that. They kill people and its okay as long as the family forgives you (usually with money). They go to jail with supplying money to the al-shabab militant group and she demands to wear a head scarf while in Jail. Geez, and they wonder why people get mad. This is America, you can practice all you want in private.

She got fired for not clocking out......NOT for praying. Let's keep the facts straight. But let's blow this out of proportion and make it a discrimination thing so she can collect millions.

Who cares what you do on your breaks, but if your company policy is to clock out, you clock out. Thanks to CNN for sensationalizing yet another topic and making it sound like she was religiously discriminated against. You people are lower then the priests who worship imaginary beings and then molest little boys.

Pray at home or in church if you must talk to your imaginary friends but leave the work place for work that's what you are paid to do.

Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to immorality, while Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. 2:268

He gives wisdom to whom He wills, and whoever has been given wisdom has certainly been given much good. And none will remember except those of understanding. 2:269

Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded. 16:90

Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do. 29:45

O mankind, eat from whatever is on earth [that is] lawful and good and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy. 2:168

He only orders you to evil and immorality and to say about Allah what you do not know. 2:169

O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness – that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.7:26

O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe. 7:27

And when they commit an immorality, they say, "We found our fathers doing it, and Allah has ordered us to do it." Say, "Indeed, Allah does not order immorality. Do you say about Allah that which you do not know?" 7:28

Say, [O Muhammad], "My Lord has ordered justice and that you maintain yourselves [in worship of Him] at every place [or time] of prostration, and invoke Him, sincere to Him in religion." Just as He originated you, you will return [to life] – 7:29

A group [of you] He guided, and a group deserved [to be in] error. Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of Allah while they thought that they were guided. 7:30

Any business owner means business and would not allow any excuses that might ruin his business or his business reputation..no one would like to see customers, clients,or work force are held because some one or few of them go for group prayer and taking their time on it... It is known that they should go group by group in order no business is held although normally used for those with the prophet when on battles, where a group prays and the other remain alert standby guarding then the second group prays and the first group take to the guarding position...!!!
But the Ace of the subject is that any person of any religion or non religion is not right for him or her to use the paid for time in establishing personal issues unrelated to the core business he works for, it is not right unless you sign out a break to the clock which then only his salary is HALAL pure from deceit intentional or unintentional....Peace.

Well people go for a hundred smoke breaks a day and no one says boo. I guess you can walk out anytime you like if you want. I'll try that at work Monday and see how it goes.

Who knows it might turn tobe good for her being fired as she might find a better job and salary...but my advice to her is that she should always sign out on the clock, when she is going on for prayers and to try to minimize time needed to complete her prayers to the minimum time possible and not to over do it even if the time she is using is unpaid for...!

If it weren't for the fact that she was religious, she might still have a job. That's what she gets for wasting her time with the stupidity of religion.

If you don't believe in religion, don't insult it. I don't understand why atheists have to insult other religions. I believe and I have a reason to believe, but I respect your belief (or unbelief), so stop insulting religions.
