Evangelist Billy Graham hospitalized for evaluation, lung treatment

By CNN Wire Staff

(CNN) – Evangelist Billy Graham has been admitted to a hospital in Asheville, North Carolina, for "evaluation and treatment of his lungs," the hospital said Wednesday.

When Graham, who turned 93 on November 7, was admitted to Mission Hospital, "He was alert, smiling and waving at hospital staff," according to a statement from the hospital.

"While no date has been set for discharge, Mr. Graham is looking forward to returning home to spend the upcoming Christmas holidays with his family," the statement said.

Graham is the founder of the Billy Graham Evangelical Association. The association said the evangelist was in stable condition and is being tested for possible pneumonia.

Graham, who lives in nearby Montreat, was hospitalized in May for successful treatment of pneumonia, the hospital said.

Get back to us when you reach 93 years of age . People of faith tend to lead long productive lives, on the other hand ?

So one person makes a crowd of angry atheist haters, eh? Perhaps you should be in a hospital in a special ward.

Why would god want him to go to the hospital?

I guess that he had no faith in his god.

He's a fraud. He knows his "faith" won't heal him. We don't need any frauds no matter how old and sick they are. Off with his head!

Not to burst any of the non-believers bubble, but the Apostle Luke was a physician.

Sin and sickness, was brought in to the world by sin. This means that there is a relationship between sin and sickness. Sickness is often times the consequence of sinful mankind and we, no mater or relationship with God we will endure the results of mankind 's sin. We are all sinners.
Then it shall come about, because you listen to these judgments and keep and do them, that the LORD your God will keep with you His covenant and . . . You shall be blessed above all peoples; there will be no male or female barren among you or among your cattle. The LORD will remove from you all sickness; and He will not put on you any of the harmful diseases of Egypt which you have known, but He will lay them on all who hate you. Deut. 7:12-15

Oh please this is such GARBAGE! If every person is a sinner then this world should totally SUCK, but guess what it DOESN”T! I am so sick of Christians and their NEGATIVITY! It’s like you want to world to fail so your “revelations” can come true and it hasn’t happened yet. There is a greater number of people that are good and kind in this world than there are bad and ruthless. The problem is NEGATIVITY sells so that is why most of the time that is all you hear from the news. The bad people they are trying to sell us is a small percentage of our population. 2010 was overall the safest year in almost forty years in the US. So why don’t you and your NEGATIVITY take a hike!

Perhaps 2010 was the safest year in recent history for the U.S. What about the other countries? How many genocides were committed? How many people are dying from a lack of nutrition or clean water? How many people died from easily treatable diseases like malaria? How many people died because of a lack of adequate shelter? How many people were killed because they failed to obey a tyrannical government?

I'm not saying this world is all bad, but I certainly wouldn't classify it as good. Just putting things in perspective.

    • OhPlease!

“How many people are dying from a lack of nutrition or clean water?”
      6,978,538,792 – 1,100,000,000 = 5, 878,538,792 people that have clean water – that’s GREAT!.

“How many people died from easily treatable diseases like malaria?”
Let’s see there is about 500 million cases of malaria, of which 1 million die but wait for it there are 6,978,538,792 people on this planet. So Mister NEGATIVITY what about the other 6,478,538,792 people – that actually pretty good!

Get the picture MR NEGATIVITY – the world is NOT as bad as Christians want everyone to think, because they have to use FEAR in order to get people to believe in their pitiful god.

    • OhPlease!

"How many people were killed because they failed to obey a tyrannical government?"

The estimate for the world is about 4% of the population so again MR NEGATIVITY what about the other 96% that aren't.

Are you going to present the visual results of his last colonoscopy too?
By all means, let's hear about his personal preferences on how to spread his ass-cheeks when sitting on a toilet. I'm sure that'll be earth-shattering news coverage as well.
Good going CNN! You continue to present non-news items as news. An old man having health problems is not news.

      I think you're both assuming he even has ass-cheeks anymore! He's 93!

Good point. Okay, I will try to remember that old guys probably don't have any ass-cheeks left. I can't guarantee anything though.
