Billy Graham released from hospital

From the CNN Wire Staff

(CNN)–Evangelist Billy Graham left an Asheville, North Carolina hospital Tuesday after being treated for pneumonia.

Graham, 93, returned home after six days at Mission Hospital, the medical center said in a statement.

"We are gratified that he has had a good response to treatment and we're committed to good home care to continue his improvement," said Graham's personal physician, Lucian Rice, said in the statement.

In the statement, Graham said he was grateful for the care and was looking forward to "seeing my home decorated for Christmas and spending the holidays with members of my family."

Graham, who lives in nearby Montreat, North Carolina, was also treated for pneumonia in May.

The Charlotte native has preached to millions of people over six decades, beginning his missionary work in 1944 when he started speaking at rallies for the Youth for Christ Campus Life ministry. He has since counseled generations of U.S. presidents, beginning with Harry Truman.

His most recent book, "Nearing Home," was published in October.

Graham's longtime spokesman A. Larry Ross tweeted on Tuesday, "Upon discharge from Mission Hospital, Billy Graham expressed gratitude for thoughts and prayers from around the world."

Ross also noted on the social networking site, "Graham's doctors said he made good clinical progress in combating pneumonia; will continue therapy @ home."

Mr. Graham is a bigot. The most recently released nixon tapes are forever preserved in the library of congress now that have Mr. Graham and President Nixon going on and on about their hatred and mistrust of Jews.

One thing I would like to share with my friends on this blog that I think you find as useful as I do: Whenever I stay at a hotel, and use up the first roll of Toilet Paper, I reach for Gideon's Bible to finish the job. No sense and ruining a perfectly good spare roll of Toilet paper.

Why? Can't people think for themselves?

Thoughts are shaped by hearing the good news!

I think you are referring to brain-washing. Definition of a cult.

Are you brainwashed when you go to school and study? no. How do pots turn from being clay, because they are shaped and sized. It is very important that you listen to truth to be moulded by the truth.

did u realize a) that you are in the belief blog and b) we are in a article that talks about Rev. Graham and you still ask me that question?.

You sure prove who you are- a Psalm 14:1 character!

So you think that a 2000 year old book that is part codified tribal tradition and part fiction has truth in it? I'll stick to reading the comics in the Sunday paper. More truth in there.

    • Billy Graham is of the devil

Billy Graham teaches false doctrine even when he know the truth about subjects. He once stated that if he roughy the sabbath truth he wouldn't have as many followers. Even if you don't believe me God knows that Billy is only in it for the money and he shall be judged according to that. There's no use teaching God's love while teaching lies at the same time!

You are off base on this one. I met Billy and worked with him at a rally. All his profits from book sales went to the foundation to care for Gods needy. He never owned a new car and lived a modest life. This man walked the talk.

When Dr. Graham was first hospitalized, the soul dead cheered his infirmity and jeered his faith , demanding God heal him. Now God has healed him and he returns home and those soul dead atheists feel cheated because he recovered. The funny thing is the man is 93 years of age. The majority of "atheists" that enter hospital in their 50's and 60's (including a lot of their favorite science authors) exit the hospital dead, ready to box or burn.

FTN..So only those who believe in myths, and yours to boot, survive into their 90s...ok.. . it's science that allows you to blog on here, and kept your man alive. I do not wish anyone ill, life is to short as it is..not sure who the favorite science authors are you are talking about.

No, the doctors healed him. Dont try to say that some witch docotor cast a spell in him (prayer) that healed him.

      Prayer doesn't work.

In a general sense people of faith lead long productive lives, people who are soul dead such as these three responding are less likely to see old age. God deniers tend to not weather the storms of life very well. Jim of course made my point, when prayer works and the evidence is before him , he does a 180.

    • Cor

Since no evidence would ever appear to destroy the budding "faith" he'll actually do a 360 and end up remaining an atheist. lol
