Fox apologizes to Jews for poll on who murdered Jesus

By Dan Gilgoff, CNN.com Religion Editor

(CNN) - Fox Latin America has pulled and apologized for an online poll that asked who was responsible for Jesus’ death and included Jews as a possible response.

The poll had been posted on a Facebook page for National Geographic Cable TV in Latin America as part of a promotional effort for a Christmas special on the channel, according to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Jewish group.

The National Geographic Channel in Latin America is a member of Fox International Channels, part of News Corp.

“Christmas Special is coming to Nat Geo… Who do you think responsible for the death of Jesus?” the Spanish-language poll asked, according to the Wiesenthal Center.

The multiple-choice responses were “Pontius Pilate; The Jewish People; the High Priests.”

On Wednesday, the Wiesenthal Center announced that the National Geographic Channel in Latin America had removed the poll and apologized for it.

"We sincerely apologize for the publication of a poll on our website that might have unintentionally given place to interpretations, opinions or expressions of intolerance that might affect the Jewish community," Fox Latin America’s vice president for corporate communications and PR said in a statement.

“This would contradict the mission and spirit of National Geographic worldwide, which focuses on education for diversity through shows questioning our world,” said the vice president, Guadalupe Lucero.

"We have also taken appropriate measures to prevent such incidents in the future,” he said.

The atheist must be in a conundrum: intellectually a mere animal–free, unrestricted, not able to be held responsible. HOLD EVERYTHING: There's that ugly, restrictive thing called a conscience. God had to go and imbue them with that piece of Himself that makes them more than a mere animal: a responsible, almost elegant creature created in His image–nearly complete. There IS more. Jesus said, "Seek, and you shall find". Let your curiosity take you all the way. You have the desire to seek, so seek. I myself found Christ living in the 1st 4 gospels of the New Testament, and then a new world opened up to me. It is not an easy world, but a world expanded exponentially, dimensionally, in a way that is comparable to the difference between animal and human existence.

The poll was poorly worded. It should have gone through quality control...something Fox news may not have.

The man never existed. There is no third party mentions of him during his lifetime. No mention of his rabble rousing anywhere. So what is all the fuss about.

Let's not reward the state contolled media, for trying to stir up animosity and tensions amongst the american people. Are we sheep that let's the government tell us what to think? What is the point, to argue about death of Christ 2000 years ago, let's try to follow his words instead. Don't be lead around by the nose by the state run media like a bunch of fools.

Why are the Jews always given a free pass? Something smells fishy here.

A pass? Are you an idiot? How about this for a poll. Pick one of the 3. You are
      A. A stupid fool
      B. An overweight moron
      C. A dunderhead

You cannot select two options – only one.

It's the same reason the media is never critical but always falls in lock-step and beats their war drums when a George W comes along with a desire to start a war. As a race, the Jews shouldn't be treated worse than any other, but they shouldn't be placed on a pedestal either.

JC was a threat to their franchise...they, the rabbi's, made a lot of money at the synagog...it was the heart of their control of commerce. How many Hebrew-Americans put their money in normal banks? If their home loan is through the synagog, is it tax free? Even after the mortgage is paid, if they pray there is it a part of their synagog? Just like today, the media with control over content and advertising, the government with control over many pols and if money doesn't do it the A-S card comes out and we all know how powerful they've built that up, and of course control of information that gets out of Jerusalem. Wake up people! The Zionists in Israel today are just as evil as the rabbi's of old, they just can't get their agenda around decency and morality ....they have to kill him and call him a terrorist....maybe they hadn't invented that word yet but, you get the idea.

The funny thing is, they left out the real perpetrators – the Romans (today's Italians). The Romans had Israel under complete control, and only 'let' them speak up when it was convenient to carry out their own aims.

So, if you want to hold an ethnic group to blame, it's the Italians. You know, the folks with the Papacy literally embedded in their country.

Who crucified the Son of God, Jesus the Christ? It was not any ethnic group. It was EVERY ethnic group. It was you and me and every one who ever lived. He was crucified and died for OUR sin so that we can now come back into relationship with the One who created us – God Allmighty.

David Jonson and Reality, and non-believers, No matter how logic or eliquent you are, both of you destined to fail persuading believers, you know why? because what you see/feel/hear or touched always replace your logic or thoughts. All the "nonsense" you thought impossible until one day it realized on you physically and metally, then your logic system will complete collapse. Most true believers went through this process.

But cut through all debates, just remember this logic about "FREE WILL" and prove it out yourselves:

In the beginning, God give you free will, and one rule and one rule only: "Do not eat fruit of knowledge tree, otherwise you will be self judgemental and self centered, and which will cause you death."

In the late time, God give you free will again, and one rule and one rule only: " Eat the fruit of LIFE of JESUS, so that you will come out the traps of fallcy knowledge and darkness, and so that you may see the true LIGHT."

If you do not turn around, you will for surely die in your sins. And never see or know what is LIFE, LIBERTY and ABUNDANCE OF JOY(Happiness).

JC's family and friends had it right 2000 years ago ( Mark 3: 21 "And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.")

Said passage is one of the few judged to be authentic by most contemporary NT scholars. e.g. See Professor Ludemann's conclusion in his book, Jesus After 2000 Years, p. 24 and p. 694

Actually, Jesus was a bit "touched". After all he thought he spoke to Satan, thought he changed water into wine, thought he raised Lazarus from the dead etc. In today's world, said Jesus would be declared legally insane.

Or did P, M, M, L and J simply make him into a first century magic-man via their epistles and gospels of semi-fiction? Most contemporary NT experts after thorough analyses of all the scriptures go with the latter magic-man conclusion with J's gospel being mostly fiction.

Obviously, today's followers of Paul et al's "magic-man" are also a bit on the odd side believing in all the Christian mumbo jumbo about bodies resurrecting, and exorcisms, and miracles, and "magic-man atonement, and infallible, old, European/Utah white men, and 24/7 body/blood sacrifices followed by consumption of said sacrifices. Yummy!!!!

So why do we really care what a first century CE, illiterate, long-dead, preacher man would do or say?

Jesus was summarily crucified for being a temple rabble-rouser by
the Roman troops in Jerusalem serving under Pontius Pilate,

He was buried in an unmarked grave and still lies
a-mouldering in the ground somewhere outside of
    Jerusalem.

Said Jesus' story was embellished and "mythicized" by
many semi-fiction writers. A descent into Hell, a bodily resurrection
and ascension stories were promulgated to compete with the
Caesar myths. Said stories were so popular that they
grew into a religion known today as Catholicism/Christianity
and featuring dark-age, daily wine to blood and bread to body rituals
called the eucharistic sacrifice of the non-atoning Jesus.

    Amen

And let's not forget that Jews were just a pawn in god's devious plan. God merely let Jews take the fall. So, not only does god create rather weak plans that result in unfortunate ramifications to many innocents for centuries after, but she is a coward. A complete and utter coward. Man sure can write a twisted tale. Not as good as Harry Potter but almost as fantastical.
