Ted Haggard talks scandal, 'Celebrity Wife Swap'

By KJ Matthews, CNN

(CNN)–It’s been a while since pastor Ted Haggard made headlines.

You may recall that back in 2006, a male escort claimed he had sex with Haggard and that Haggard bought drugs from him. Haggard denied having sex with the man and said he only bought the drugs, but didn’t actually use them.

Either way, it did some serious damage to the then minister's image…for a while that is. "I went through a scandal five years ago, and most marital problems aren’t nearly as serious as that one was and we survived it,” Haggard said.

Not only did Haggard survive, but he now wants the world to know he is thriving. Audiences will soon see him, his wife and their kids on ABC’s “Celebrity Wife Swap.” So why would Haggard want to enter the spotlight again?

There's an old saying evangelicals like to trot out concerning evil, that is money is the root of all evil. For those ignorant hicks this is probably true. However, the King James Version of the Bible states, "The love of money is the root of all evil" This preacher man has a love of money above anything else, and now we are seeing the growth of his roots.

Just more proof, our world is heading to hell on a fast track.

Read the account of Noah. Time another God cleasing. Better than Mr. CLEAN.

The Noah myth was plagiarized from the Epic of Gilgamesh. There were many flood myths floating around. Too bad you know nothing about the formation of the Bible.

    – Isn't "Wife Swap" a Mormon show?
    -ABC needs more Evangelical viewers/losers.
-We really need to see Ted Harrard cry each week.
    – Kardashians were busy.

      nothing fails like prayer.

If prayer works so great why do christains not live longer, have less illness, make more money, win more football games? Statistically prayers are just like everyone else....grow up, there is no santa.

    From the article:

"So why would Haggard want to enter the spotlight again?"

There's gold in them there Evangelicals. All Haggard has to do, is convince them that Jesus healed him of the gay and the drugs and he'll be on the Evangelical teat once again.

The Evangelicals want desperately to have gays claim Jesus changed their lives. And reformed drug addicts are always a hit. I bet he get back in.

If his ambition for wealth and power matched his actual belief in a god, he would be god himself. But right now, he just thinks he is.

The following is an excerpt from the Current Events page of our website http://www.aworlddeceived.ca

Ted Haggard’s latest claim is falsehood

On June 1, 2010 Haggard announced that he intended to start a new church in Colorado Springs and in a recent interview with HLN's Joy Behar he claimed to be a changed man. This is falsehood.

In summary: Ted Haggard was born in sin and is a false apostle who has transformed himself into an apostle of Christ, who deceives all the members of his church (2 Cor. 11:13-15). He is a hireling (John 10:12) and his claim that he is a changed man is a lie and a deception. He is of the same spirit today as he was when he was born in 1956 (Luke 9:55).

Unless Ted Haggard and his wife and family, along with the members of his congregation repent and turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan (whose spirit they are of) unto God (Acts 26:18), they will die in their sin. In his natural state and while he is spiritually blind, Ted Haggard will continue to deceive all the members of his new church.

For a better understanding how mankind can come to know the Mystery of God through the Baptism of Repentance and be converted and transformed by God (Mark 1:4; Romans 12:2), we invite you to read the articles False Apostles and False Christs, What is Sin? and Victory Over Sin listed on this website.

The only thing we can add is that the problem is not with false preachers like Ted Haggard, but with the media who take pleasure in reporting lies and falsehood but who fail to communicate a message of truth.
To give people a better understanding of the principalities and destructive forces (Eph. 6:12) behind the Media, US Politics and the issues that divide this world, we invite you to read the articles ‘CNN Belief Blog ~ Sign of the Times’ and ‘Influence of the Media’.

All of the other pages and articles will explain how and by whom this world has been deceived as confirmed by the Word of God in Revelation 12:9 and they will also explain what mankind must do to be reunited with God and to be able to understand the Bible.

He that is spiritual judgeth (discerneth) all things, yet he himself is judged of no man (1 Cor. 2:15; 14:37; Proverbs 28:5; Gal. 6:1; Col. 1:9; John 3:8; 5:30; 8:15; 16:8-11).

Seek, and ye will find (Matthew 7:7).

report abuse on all AvdBerg...he is Canadian and has no opinion and he is spamming this site with his bs website

      January 2, 2012 at 12:42 pm |
    • AvdBerg

You call it spam as you are unable to understand the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive (John 14:17; 1 Cor. 2:14) and if as a member of the gay community you don't like our message may we suggest you get on with your life as you have been judged already, just like Ted Haggard.

They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick (Matthew 9:12).

Seek, and ye will find (Matthew 7:7).

"aworlddeceived.ca", I have no doubt that you are trying to deceived the world, or people in order to collect money from them. It's people like you that turn people from any belief system. I do hope that all security agencies are keeping an eye on your group.
