Christian conservative leaders vote to support Santorum

By Kevin Liptak, CNN

(CNN) – A meeting of Christian conservative leaders resulted in the group backing GOP presidential hopeful Rick Santorum, Family Research Council president Tony Perkins announced Saturday.

The group heard pitches from surrogates for Republican candidates on Friday, and voted to support Santorum after voting on Saturday.

"After three rounds of balloting this morning, and vigorous and passionate discussion, there emerged a strong consensus around Rick Santorum as the preferred candidate for this group," Perkins said on a conference call Saturday.

The group of conservative leaders was meeting at a Texas ranch to discuss the 2012 race, although ahead of the meeting it appeared unlikely the gathering would come to an agreement on backing a particular candidate.

Santorum is NOT a Christian! He's a Catholic Church cultist! Catholicism is the religion of the Antichrist.

  3. Good News, Bad News

For Conservatives, the good news is that polls today show that if President Obama ran against a steaming pile of manure, the manure would win. The bad news is that the same poll found that no conservative candidate polls anywhere near as well as the steaming pile of manure.

Our War on Terror and Aggression:

An update (or how we are spending or how we have spent the USA taxpayers’ money to eliminate global terror and aggression)

The terror and aggression via a Partial and Recent and Not So Recent Body Count

As the koranic/mosque driven acts of terror and horror continue:

The Muslim Conquest of India – 11th to 18th century

■"The likely death toll is somewhere between 2 million and 80 million. The geometric mean of those two limits is 12.7 million. "

and the 19 million killed in the Mideast Slave Trade 7C-19C by Muslims.

      and more recently

      1a) 179 killed in Mumbai/Bombay, 290 injured

1b) Assassination of Benazir Bhutto and Theo Van Gogh

      2) 9/11, 3000 mostly US citizens, 1000’s injured

      3) The 24/7 Sunni-Shiite centuries-old blood feud currently being carried out in Iraq, US troops killed in action, 3,480 and 928 in non combat roles. 102,522 – 112,049 Iraqi civilians killed as of 9/16/2011/, mostly due to suicide bombers, land mines and bombs of various types, http://www.iraqbodycount.org/ and http://www.defenselink.mil/news/casualty.pdf

      4) Kenya- In Nairobi, about 212 people were killed and an estimated 4000 injured; in Dar es Salaam, the attack killed at least 11 and wounded 85.[2]

      5) Bali-in 2002-killing 202 people, 164 of whom were foreign nationals, and 38 Indonesian citizens. A further 209 people were injured.

      6) Bali in 2005- Twenty people were killed, and 129 people were injured by three bombers who killed themselves in the attacks.

      7) Spain in 2004- killing 191 people and wounding 2,050.

      8. UK in 2005- The bombings killed 52 commuters and the four radical Islamic suicide bombers, injured 700.

      9) The execution of an eloping couple in Afghanistan on 04/15/2009 by the Taliban.

      10) – Afghanistan: US troops 1,385 killed in action, 273 killed in non-combat situations as of 09/15/2011. Over 40,000 Afghan civilians killed due to the dark-age, koranic-driven Taliban acts of horror

      11) The killing of 13 citizen soldiers at Ft. Hood by a follower of the koran.

      12) 38 Russian citizens killed on March 29, 2010 by Muslim women suicide bombers.

      13) The May 28, 2010 attack on a Islamic religious minority in Pakistan, which have left 98 dead,

      14) Lockerbie is known internationally as the site where, on 21 December 1988, the wreckage of Pan Am Flight 103 crashed as a result of a terrorist bomb. In the United Kingdom the event is referred to as the Lockerbie disaster, the Lockerbie bombing, or simply Lockerbie. Eleven townspeople were killed in Sherwood Crescent, where the plane's wings and fuel tanks plummeted in a fiery explosion, destroying several houses and leaving a huge crater, with debris causing damage to a number of buildings nearby. The 270 fatalities (259 on the plane, 11 in Lockerbie) were citizens of 21 nations.

15 The daily suicide and/or roadside and/or mosque bombings in the terror world of Islam.

      16) Bombs sent from Yemen by followers of the koran which fortunately were discovered before the bombs were detonated.

      17) The killing of 58 Christians in a Catholic church in one of the latest acts of horror and terror in Iraq.

      18) Moscow airport suicide bombing: 35 dead, 130 injured. January 25, 2011.

      19) A Pakistani minister, who had said he was getting death threats because of his stance against the country's controversial blasphemy law, was shot and killed Wednesday, 3/2/2011

      20) two American troops killed in Germany by a recently radicalized Muslim, 3/3/2011

      21) the kidnapping and apparent killing of a follower of Zoraster in the dark world of Islamic Pakistan.

      22) Shariatpur, Bangladesh (CNN 3/30/2011) - Hena Akhter's last words to her mother proclaimed her innocence. But it was too late to save the 14-year-old girl. Her fellow villagers in Bangladesh's Shariatpur district had already passed harsh judgment on her. Guilty, they said, of having an affair with a married man. The imam from the local mosque ordered the fatwa, or religious ruling, and the punishment: 101 lashes delivered swiftly, deliberately in public. Hena dropped after 70 and died a week later.

      23) "October 4, 2011, 100 die as a truck loaded with drums of fuel exploded Tuesday at the gate of compound housing several government ministries on a busy Mogadishu street. It was the deadliest single bombing carried out by the al Qaeda-linked al-Shabab group in Somalia since their insurgency began. "
      Continued below:
Other elements of our War on Terror and Aggression:

-Operation Iraqi Freedom- The 24/7 Sunni-Shiite centuries-old blood feud currently being carried out in Iraq, US Troops killed in action, 3,480 and 928 in non combat roles as of 09/15/2011/, 102,522 – 112,049 Iraqi civilians killed as of 9/16/2011/, mostly due to suicide bombers, land mines and bombs of various types, http://www.iraqbodycount.org/ and http://www.defenselink.mil/news/casualty.pdf

      – Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan: US troops 1,385 killed in action, 273 killed in non-combat situations as of 09/15/2011. Over 40,000 Afghan civilians killed mostly due to the dark-age, koranic-driven Taliban acts of horror,

      – Sa-dd-am, his sons and major he-nchmen have been deleted. Sa-dd-am's bravado about WMD was one of his major mistakes. Kuwait was saved.

      – Iran is being been contained. (beside containing the Sunni-Shiite civil war in Baghdad, that is the main reason we are in Iraq. And yes, essential oil continues to flow from the region.)

      – North Korea is still u-ncivil but is contained.

      – Northern Ireland is finally at peace.

      – The Jews and Palestinians are being separated by walls. Hopefully the walls will follow the 1948 UN accords. Unfortunately the Annapolis Peace Conference was not successful. And unfortunately the recent events in Gaza has put this situation back to “squ-are one”. And this significant stupidity is driven by the mythical foundations of both religions!!!

      – – Fa-na–tical Islam has basically been contained to the Middle East but a wall between India and Pakistan would be a plus for world peace. Ditto for a wall between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

      – Timothy McVeigh was exe-cuted. Terry Nichols escaped the death penalty twice because of deadlocked juries. He was sentenced to 161 consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole,[3][7] and is incarcerated in ADX Florence, a super maximum security prison near Florence, Colorado. He shares a cellblock that is commonly referred to as "Bombers Row" with Ramzi Yousef and Ted Kaczynski

      – Eric Ru-dolph is spending three life terms in pri-son with no par-ole.

      – Jim Jones, David Koresh, Kaczynski, the "nuns" from Rwanda, and the KKK were all dealt with and either eliminated themselves or are being punished.

      – Islamic Sudan, Dar-fur and So-malia are still terror hot spots.
      – The terror and tor-ture of Muslims in Bosnia, Kosovo and Kuwait were ended by the proper application of the military forces of the USA and her freedom-loving friends. Ra-dovan Karadzic was finally captured on 7/23/08 and is charged with genocide, crimes against humanity and violations of the law of war – charges related to the 1992-1995 civil war that followed Bosnia-Herzegovina's secession from Yugoslavia.

The capture of Ratko Mladić: (Serbian Cyrillic: Ратко Младић, pronounced [râtkɔ mlǎːditɕ], born 12 March 1943[1][2]) is an accused war criminal and a former Bosnian Serb military leader. On May 31, 2011, Mladić was extradited to The Hague, where he was processed at the detention center that holds suspects for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).[3] His trial began on 3 June 2011.

      – the bloody terror brought about by the Ja-panese, Na-zis and Co-mmunists was with great difficulty eliminated by the good guys.

      – Bin Laden was executed for crimes against humanity on May 1, 2011

      – Ditto for Anwar al-Awlaki on September 30, 2011

Oh, those fine Santorum values. Not. Let's look at the Christian values of Santorum et al, such as unfair eternal torture for putting a foot wrong in a short mortal life. And don't forget those brutal animal sacrifices that your Christian god wants you to do, the nasty jerk. According to the bible, that makes your sicko Christian sky fairy happy. No, you don't get to use the parts for food. You burn them, a complete waste of the poor animal.

Yes, the bible really says that, everyone. Yes, it's in Leviticus, look it up. Yes, Jesus purportedly said that the OT commands still apply. Read Matthew. No exceptions. If you disagree, look it up. But even if you think the OT was god's mistaken first go around, you have to ask why a perfect, loving enti-ty would ever put such horrid instructions in there. If you think rationally at all, that is. And then ask why your "loving" sky fairy so hates amputees that he won't heal them.

So get out your sacrificial knife or your nasty sky creature will torture you eternally. Or just take a closer look at your foolish supersti-tions, understand that they are just silly, and toss them into the dustbin with all the rest of the gods that man has created.

Ask the questions. Break the chains. Be free of religion in 2012.

@Bob those fantastic values such as not stealing, not killing, not committing adultery, not being envious of your neighbor, etc... loving your neighbor as yourself. Treating others as you want ot be treated. Yes, non-believers and unrepentant sinners will get thrown into the lake of fire. If you get yourself saved, and follow the Lord Jesus Christ, and you repent your sins in your heart, you have nothing to worry about. Now please stop spamming.

      @GodIsTheWay

I hate saying this, but Christianity does not have a monopoly on the creation of morality. The guilt of killing, stealing, etc. can easily be explained as an evolutionary imperative. Being a creature of communities, stealing and killing would weaken the community as a whole. The commandments do not seem so much divinely inspired laws of God, rather they seem more of learned group behaviours that foster prosperity in a community. Note please that I am not discounting you out of hand, I am merely asking that you do not act as though Chrisitianity created all morality, as there is no real use in speculating whether it has or not. If implying that Christianity was responsible for morality was not your intent then I apologize for assuming as such, but I have seen that claim very often.

      (only for the "newbies")

Free Will and Future are inherent to all the thinking beings in the Universe. This being the case, it is not possible to alter life with prayers. Statistically, your request might come true but it is simply the result of the variability/randomness of Nature..

So put down your rosaries and prayer beads and stop worshiping/revering cows or bowing to Mecca five times a day. Instead work hard at your job, take care of aging parents, volunteer at a soup kitchen, donate to charities and the poor and continue to follow the proper rules of your religion or any good rules of living as gracious and good human beings.

The Apostles' Creed 2011: (updated by yours truly based on the studies of NT historians and theologians of the past 200 years)

Should I believe in a god whose existence cannot be proven
and said god if he/she/it exists resides in an unproven,
human-created, spirit state of bliss called heaven?????

I believe there was a 1st century CE, Jewish, simple,
preacher-man who was conceived by a Jewish carpenter
named Joseph living in Nazareth and born of a young Jewish
girl named Mary. (Some say he was a mamzer.)

Jesus was summarily crucified for being a temple rabble-rouser by
the Roman troops in Jerusalem serving under Pontius Pilate,

He was buried in an unmarked grave and still lies
a-mouldering in the ground somewhere outside of
      Jerusalem.

Said Jesus' story was embellished and "mythicized" by
many semi-fiction writers. A bodily resurrection and
ascension stories were promulgated to compete with the
Caesar myths. Said stories were so popular that they
grew into a religion known today as Catholicism/Christianity
and featuring dark-age, daily wine to blood and bread to body rituals
called the eucharistic sacrifice of the non-atoning Jesus.

      Amen

So get out your sacrificial knife or your nasty sky creature will torture you eternally. Or just take a closer look at your foolish supersti-tions, understand that they are just silly, and toss them into the dustbin with all the rest of the gods that man has created.

Bob, the only thing your constant re-posts does is show you that your are incapable of an original thought.

VanHagar Swain, you have yet to counter anything in Bob's post.

Instead, you just use a lazy ad hominem. I guess you're bored but can't quite muster up a real argument. It shows.

VanHagar, I find that you Christians need frequent and repeti-tious reminders of your many idiocies.

Maybe when you reply with actual substance for a change, I'll post something new. My IQ is probably at least 30 points higher than yours, and I have far more original publications than you will get in your whole boring lifetime, so don't try the originality line on me, asshole. Go fuck yourself, stupid; that's probably the only action you can get.

Matthew 5:18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

The law refers to the Hebrew law (or Torah), which are the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.

one of the strongest pro-life advocates was democrat Bob Casey Sr. Its definitely the issues and policies, not dem or rep. Just turns out these days it's mostly rep that support many Christian values. And strangely Obama is Christian but has directly fought to increase federal funding for abortion. Thank God some pro-life democrats made Obama back down when he pushing through Obamacare. Ron Paul, Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich all better support many of the most important Christian values.

      January 15, 2012 at 4:04 pm |
    • Bob

Oh, those Christian values. I'm surprised you people still try to pull off those stinking bullcrap claims. Let's look at the Christian values of Santorum et al, such as unfair eternal torture for putting a foot wrong in a short mortal life. And don't forget those brutal animal sacrifices that your Christian god wants you to do, the nasty bastard.

I don't care if Bob Casey or any other candidate for any office can walk on water, cure cancer, and make elephants fly out of your ass, chrism. I don't care what party affiliation a candidate has. If he opposes a woman's right to choose what is best for her without government interference, I wouldn't vote for him.

      January 15, 2012 at 6:53 pm |
    • chrism

Tom, look in any medical embryology textbook and you'll see a new human life begins with conception. Simply accept the medical definition and that life is fully endowed with rights already – by it's Creator God. Seems like our country did fine for 200 years restricting it. And I'm more for women's right to their bodies than you are Tom. You're only 50%. I'm 100% I'm for protecting mother and daughter. So I'd allow exceptions for ra.pe, incest and medical need. Id also have no penalty at all. I just don't want federal dollars for unrestricted abortions as Obama has fought for. People often take the path of least resistance. I see no reason to make it easier than it needs to be.

      January 15, 2012 at 6:59 pm |
    • Colin

There are many instances of the Christian sky-fairy supporting abortion in the Bible. For example, in Numbers 31:17, Moses says “Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every women that hath known man by lying with him.” In other words: women that might be pregnant, which clearly is abortion.

      January 15, 2012 at 7:09 pm |
    • Tom, Tom, the Piper's Son

You need to read up on your history, chrism. Abortion has been legal for far more of our history than it was ever illegal. An embryo or fetus is alive. It does not have legal rights. What you think your god 'gave' it is of no concern to me, nor does it have the slightest bearing on the law. You aren't 100% for women at all, you phony, if you make statements like "I see no reason to make it easier than it needs to be." YOU aren't in charge of making any procedure that is none of your business harder for anyone. If you don't like abortion, don't ever, ever have one. You have no say in what someone else does with her body OR its contents. None.

      January 15, 2012 at 7:20 pm |
    • chrism

Tom, wow, take your own advice you seem to know little about the history in the us. Immediately prior to roe v wade it was illegal in 30 states and going back further it was illegal in most to all states. Just wrong. And why do you give a non sequitur on rights which I already know? As I said, if the country simply went by the medical definition, a human would have rights from the moment of conception. Tom, you're the only phony here. You intentionally ignore and distort what I say. I'm for 100% of women's rights and as I said you're only for 50% . And I gave you the rationale to not make easier, people take the path of least resistance. Follows quite logically don't make it easier. And listen hypocrite, don't talk about being in charge when you're all about promoting the agenda you believe in. All citizens have the right to speak up for what is moral. Hate to break it to you, you have no special privilege there. And you don't get it, the only question is when does life begin. If life begins at conception, no, it's you who have no right to justify unnecessary termination of human lives – you're the one not minding your business and advocating the unnecessary termination of human life. That's why it all comes down to when life begins, and as I said you can take out your opinion and religion, just go by the medical textbooks and there you have it.

    • Colin

Chrism. Sperm and eggs are living by any definition of the term. Do you feel you commit mass murder when you mas.turbate?

      January 15, 2012 at 7:41 pm |
    • Tom, Tom, the Piper's Son

Who said you couldn't voice your opinion? Be llow it all you want. When life begins is not the issue and never was; nothing you can say will make that so. This is not a theocracy and your beliefs are not the basis for law. The issue is when rights begin and whose rights trump. The rights guaranteed by the Const i t ution pertain to those born, not to fetuses. Women do not give up the right to bodily inte gri ty when they become pregnant. You can dispute it all you wish, but it will have no impact. Religion doesn't get the say here-laws do.

Furthermore, read history. Cite proof that abortion was completely illegal when the Cons ti tution was written, chrism. Go ahead, and be sure to cite a widely-accepted, neutral source. The fact is that abortion was legal then and was even pu blicly advertised. Why didn't the founders outlaw it then? Because they knew it wasn't their business, that it was a private matter.

Abortion was legal for most of our nation's history. Go ahead and prove otherwise. I don't care how many states outlawed it for a few de cades, so don't get your bo wels in an uproar accusing me of "twisting" your words, you twit. YOU are the one changing the subject–it's not the number of states I mentioned. It's the number of years.

You are a hypoc rite, in addition, if you co n tend that a fetus has some "right to life" but approve of abortion in cases of ra pe or in cest. What difference does it make how the fetus was conceived, if it's so sacred? What you're REALLY intent on doing is punishing women who choose to have s3x and who get pregnant.

You're a hoot, chrism, bar fing your silly nonsense about 'taking the path of least resistance". It ain't your path, dufus. You can have your opinion, dearie, but you don't get to remove rights from others simply because you think their behavior is "immoral."

      January 15, 2012 at 8:31 pm |
    • Tom, Tom, the Piper's Son

And chrism, since you're SUCH an expert on the subject, maybe YOU can answer this little puzzle. I've posted it to dummies like you many times, and not one of you can manage to figure out how to solve it.

Suppose a woman is pregnant. Her doctors determine that her fetus must have surgery in utero. The woman does not want said surgery. What happens if the fetus has 'equal rights'? Can the woman then be forced to have surgery against her will? How, if she has "equal rights", too?

People can't be forced by law to donate so much as a drop of blood, even if it's a case of life or death. Under what circ um stances is any person subject to legal compulsion to give up such rights? Pregnancy? Not on your tintype, dear.

    • Tom, Tom, the Piper's Son

Abortion laws didn't even begin to appear in the US until the 1820s. It wasn't until 1900 that almost all abortions were outlawed. And then in 1973, R v W decided the matter.

See if you can manage the math, chrism.

chrism is a fake doctor. She keeps saying "moment of conception", and makes people think she is a Catholik. In fact the Catliks says it's a person from the moment of fertilization.

      January 16, 2012 at 1:23 am |
    • Tom, Tom, the Piper's Son

chrism is a typical fundie. She, like all the rest, can't figure out that there is no way to accord a fetus "equal rights". Chad faked it at one time with some lame attempt at impersonating a sentient being, but failed to present ANY solution-because there isn't one at this time.

The founders knew what they were doing.

What's really telling is that the same fundie dopes will whine and b!tch about government intrusion into their personal lives until it comes to this issue. They're blind to the fact that someone else's medical decisions are not up to the government and they're not up to any 'god', either.
