Oral Roberts' son arrested on suspicion of DUI

Richard Roberts, 63, was observed traveling about 93 mph, according to his arrest report.

The son of late evangelist Oral Roberts and former president of Oral Roberts University was arrested early Tuesday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding, authorities said.

Richard Roberts, 63, was stopped by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol just after midnight after a trooper observed him traveling at about 93 mph on a turnpike in his Mercedes-Benz sedan, according to an arrest report. The speed limit on the road is 65 mph, the report said.

The trooper "detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage about Roberts' breath and person," the report said, and Roberts failed field sobriety tests.

Roberts consented to a breath test, which showed his blood alcohol level at .011%, higher than the .08% limit for legal intoxication.

Oh, this is fun, I like seeing "christian" conspiracies and mud slinging on CNN, but it makes me wonder, why arent there any other personal slanderings of any other religions group by CNN?

Where is the dirty laundry on famous buddhist's or muslims? And people wonder why Christians in general agree the media is biased and untrustworthy.

My little brother was run over by a car & died. I prayed & prayed for him to live. There were no answers for me. That was 60 years ago. I do know people who say God did help them stop drinking and it is like such a joy to them. I wish only the same for others to find this joy. I suppose we can't have all the answers in this world as to why things are what they are. Peace to all.
