I guess this guy is the real "Oral" Roberts.
I can't watch the video on my work computer, but I have to give the man kudos. It can not have been easy growing up in that family knowing you were gay, and to stand up proudly is something to be applauded.
I hope he has many happy years with a man he loves.
Men are not supposed to marry other men! God formed the very concept of marraige in Eden when He created the first man and woman. God saw that Adam was alone and He created woman for Him because God said 'it is not good for man to be alone.' This holy union we call marraige is reserved only for a single man and a single woman, once married they become ONE. And as an expression of their love God gives them children as one of the man gifts and blessings He pours on them. The very fact that a man cannot procreate with another man is proof that this is an un-natural union. God doesn't accept ti, the universe doesn't accept it.

This is a good idea. remember so many Christian conservatives in the bible belt often avoid media percieved as tainted by Hollywood liberalism. So TV shows and movies containing gay characters don't get as much exposure. That means they don't see gay love scenes or gays talking on the phone, watching a child or performing surgery.

Ok, tell me what you guys think of this Scripture, which Jesus said:
Matt 19:"11Jesus replied, “Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. 12For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”
Eunichs we men who had been castrated by kings to serve concubines and other purposes. But Jesus says some are "Born that way" i.e... born with no t e s t i c l e .s, ie, no testosterone, ........
He also acknowledges that this is hard for most to accept. But he says they "Renounce marriage" , in Jewish parlance, retreat from any s e x u a l activity and serve the Kingdom of God.
I was wondering what some of the Christians on the board may think of this Scripture.
That passage in the scripture has pretty much summed up precisely what the scriptural viewpoint is on this topic.
Actually I would read from Verse 1 on in Matthew 19 to get a full understanding.

Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard Medical School and other scientists tested the effect of having three Christian groups pray for particular patients, starting the night before surgery and continuing for two weeks. The volunteers prayed for "a successful surgery with a quick, healthy recovery and no complications" for specific patients, for whom they were given the first name and first initial of the last name.
The patients, meanwhile, were split into three groups of about 600 apiece: those who knew they were being prayed for, those who were prayed for but only knew it was a possibility, and those who weren't prayed for but were told it was a possibility.
The researchers didn't ask patients or their families and friends to alter any plans they had for prayer, saying such a step would have been unethical and impractical. The study looked for any complications within 30 days of the surgery. Results showed no effect of prayer on complication-free recovery. But 59 percent of the patients who knew they were being prayed for developed a complication, versus 52 percent of those who were told it was just a possibility.
