Sex abuse trial opens for archdiocese official, priest

By Sarah Hoye, CNN

Philadelphia (CNN) - Opening arguments started Monday in the first case in which a Roman Catholic archdiocese official is accused of covering up evidence of suspected sexual abuse of children.

Monsignor William Lynn and the Rev. James Brennan appeared before Common Pleas Judge Teresa Sarmina inside a nearly filled Philadelphia courtroom. The attendees had to pass through a metal detector and surrender all electronic devices before entering the courtroom.

Commonwealth prosecutor Jacqueline Coelho told jurors in her nearly hour-long opening statement that Lynn's role was to protect priests, the church and privacy "at any cost."

Lynn, dressed in all black and wearing a priest collar, listened intently as Coelho argued that he knowingly covered up incidents of sexual abuse, including alleged acts by Brennan, and "ignored common sense and placed children at risk."

Amazing!!! thanks for siharng your vision with others to pray for Mexico. I believe this is a wonderful opportunity for each of us as a human being to love each other no matter what our race, skin color, or status we are in, if we really try to plant a seed about knowing who GOD is and the amazing things he can do when people get together and pray. God bless you .Sincerely,Rosie

Lying is a sin, you've been proven a liar over and over again on this blog. A great example of prayer proven not to work is the Christians in jail because prayer didn't work. For example: Susan Grady, who relied on prayer to heal her son. Nine-year-old Aaron Grady died and Susan Grady was arrested.

An article in the Journal of Pediatrics examined the deaths of 172 children from families who relied upon faith healing from 1975 to 1995. They concluded that four out of five ill children, who died under the care of faith healers or being left to prayer only, would most likely have survived if they had received medical care.

Plus don't forget. The statistical studies from the nineteenth century and the three CCU studies on prayer are quite consistent with the fact that humanity is wasting a huge amount of time on a procedure that simply doesn’t work. Nonetheless, faith in prayer is so pervasive and deeply rooted, you can be sure believers will continue to devise future studies in a desperate effort to confirm their beliefs.!

That's like saying the truth hurts..

Well religious people love to tell fairy tales and myths. So I'm waiting for someone to dig up a book about Mickey Mouse in 4000 A.D. and proclaim it a religion....

You do realize you're following the crazed thoughts of 2000 year old primitive people. They didn't know there was a universe out there, they didn't know about bacteria... they knew nothing. Their entire world was so very tiny. They believed natural ocurring events like a volcano were a "sign" from the heavens.

You are dull witted to believe all that mumbo jumbo.

That's funny, because there are dozens of peer reviewed studies showing that religious people are happier, healthier and generally better off than non-religious.

Ask the religiously persecuted people or victims of religious war/torture if they're happy

Ask Salem "witches" if they enjoyed being burned alive or drown

Ask the religious young men that this sicko molested if they're happy

Ask the Jehovah witnesses who have been excommunicated and who have lost their families due to crazy religious practices if they are happy. Wait isn't it make believe Scientology that practices effective human slavery by this excommunication practice? Nope, Jehovah's witnesses do it too. They also don't want you to go to school and earn an education. Because then you might be able to decide on things for yourself, or have money to not be shackled to the church.

      Need I go on?

Yeah religious people are so peaceful, well intented, and happy. Thanks for the advice wack job.

Ask victims of religious war and persecution if theyre happy
Ask religious victims of this priests buggery if theyre happy
Ask J. Witnesses who have been excommunicated and lost their families if they are happy. Yes, the practice of excommunicating you, and then your own family disowns you, is in both Scientology, and the Witnesses.
Ask J Witnesses who are advised to never follow an education so that they can remain poor and shackled to their church if they are happy. Well ignorance is bliss.
Do I really need to go on.

No religion and teaching them to believe in things that are false is wrong then they can never make an unbiased decision in their lives. Religions are more destructive that all the natural events that happen

Pedophiles are aroused by prepubescent children. Nearly all the accused priests were going for post adolescent teenage boys. They are by definition gay. Of course you may be one of the many that attack the church on one hand and the Boy Scouts on the other. The Boy Scouts who dare keep gay men away from teenage boys............

There is a man who works or worked, in Royal Cornhill Hospital, Aberdeen, Scotland. Originally from Lancashire, his name is Tony (He has or had a house in Footdee, which is an area of Aberdeen, Scotland) He is a paedophile who has gained great promotions as a result of the power they can generate amongst themselves. Nearly in charge of the Hospital now. He spends all his holidays at Pluscarden Abbey, Near Elgin, as they all do. Unless they get caught, they always end up running things, and that is a very large hospital.

Good day! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog patrfolm are you using for this website? I'm getting fed up of WordPress because I've had problems with hackers and I'm looking at options for another patrfolm. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good patrfolm.
