Pope extols Christ, not politics, at Cuba Mass

From Mariano Castillo and David Ariosto, CNN

Havana, Cuba (CNN) - Pope Benedict XVI spoke in general terms, saying "Cuba and the world need change," but steered clear of political statements during a Mass he celebrated in Havana's Revolution Plaza on Wednesday.

The pope said that such change can come only if "each one is prepared to ask for the truth and if they decide to take the path of love, sowing reconciliation and brotherhood."

Earlier in his trip, the pontiff had prayed for "those deprived of freedom" and told reporters that Cuba's Marxist political system "no longer corresponds to reality."

Many in Cuba and around the world listened closely to the pope's homily at the enormous open-air Mass to see if the pontiff would expand or be more forceful in his apparent criticisms.

A hernia occurs when an organ or fatty tissue squeezes through a weak spot in a surrounding muscle or connective tissue called fascia. The most common types of hernia are inguinal (inner groin), incisional (resulting from an incision), femoral (outer groin), umbilical (belly button), and hiatal (upper stomach).^..:..

Okay, so I will put one out here! A friend of mine from High School, Colter and his wife are epiectxng twins. They have been trying for several years to get pregnant, so it is a blessing now that they are! They just found out the little boy has a diaphragmatic hernia, which can be fatal. I looked online and there is a great chance that surgey (either in utero or after birth) will fix it. He is very strong in his faith and knows the Lord can perform miracles. So, we are praying for a miracle! Pray for God to heal that little boy and to give the doctor the wisdom to know how to proceed.

  3. Trancend

Accept Jesus christ as your lord and saviour. You never know how soon is too late. Trancend the worldly illusion of enslavement.
    The world denounces truth....

Accepting Jesus Christ will result in something like seeng a new colour. You will see it .....but will not be able to clearly explain it to anyone else..... Its meant to be that way to transend any selfism within you.

Currently.... your constructing your own path that suits your sin lifestyle.

Look closely at the economy ponzi, look at how society idolizes Lust , greed , envy, sloth, pride of life, desire for knowledge, desire for power, desire for revencge, gluttony with food etc .

    Trancend the temporal world.

Just think if you can find a truth you can take with you in any of these things. When you die your riches go to someone who will spend away your life. You will be forgotten.... history will repeat iteslf, the greatest minds knowledge fate or are eventually plagerzed, your good deeds are forgotten and only give you a fleeting temporary reward . your learned teachings are forgotten or mutated, your gold is transfered back to the rullers that rule you through deception. Your grave will grow over .
Trancend your egoism and free yourself from this dominion of satan. Relise your a sinner and part of the collective problem of this worldly matrix... Repent....

Evidence follows faith. Faith does not follow evidence..... Faith above reason in Jesus Christ.

    Read Ecclesiastes. Read corinthians.

You cant trancend your own egoism by adapting a world philosophy to suit your needs. Seek the truth.

Sell your cleverness and purchase bewilderment. You don't get what you want you get what you are in christ.

I promise this has been the truth for me. In Jesus christ .

Think of what you really have to lose. ...your ego?

Down is up. Break the Matrix of illusion that holds your senses captive.

once you do . you too will have the wisdom of God that comes only through the Holy Spirit. Saved By grace through Faith. Just like seeing a new colour.... can't explain it to a transient caught in the matrix of worldly deception.

Your all smart people . I tell the truth. Its hard to think out of the box when earthly thinking is the box.

Still spreading your lies. No it doesn't. You have NO proof it changes anything! A great example of prayer proven not to work is the Christians in jail because prayer didn't work and their children died. For example: Susan Grady, who relied on prayer to heal her son. Nine-year-old Aaron Grady died and Susan Grady was arrested.

An article in the Journal of Pediatrics examined the deaths of 172 children from families who relied upon faith healing from 1975 to 1995. They concluded that four out of five ill children, who died under the care of faith healers or being left to prayer only, would most likely have survived if they had received medical care.

Plus don't forget. The statistical studies from the nineteenth century and the three CCU studies on prayer are quite consistent with the fact that humanity is wasting a huge amount of time on a procedure that simply doesn’t work. Nonetheless, faith in prayer is so pervasive and deeply rooted, you can be sure believers will continue to devise future studies in a desperate effort to confirm their beliefs.!

Why do christians and atheists engage in message board fights? What's the "end game" of such conversations? If you are a christian, I'm sure you don't believe online fighting will bring anyone your way. Shaming someone to see things your way doesn't work in the long run. Fear doesn't have much longevity either. Maybe the atheist is upset from being constantly being judged by christians. So why not just apologise and try not to attack any more atheists. In all fairness they are usually not the aggressors in this kind of fight.

That's pretty funny. You actually believe atheists don't attack verbally? Have you even read anything on a religion forum? Your thinking is quite normal because atheists always think the way you do. You're in your own little dream world.

  9. The Truth

For many years the Catholic Organization has met with the Cuban government to no avail. The past history of this government shows that they care nothing for their people. They have taken away their properties and have killed innocent people due to their political beliefs. Many have found themselves with nothing after losing their lively hood. The governments have proven to live the words in Ecclesiastes 8:9 that say that there will come a “time that man has dominated man to his injury.” The prophet Jeremiah also said: “I well know, O Jehovah, that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step” (Jeremiah 10:23). Instead of the Catholic Church teaching their parishioners to confide in Jehovah God and his son Jesus Christ, they rely and repose in the governments instead of God’s kingdom, which by the way Christ taught us to rely on by praying for it to rein over the earth. (Matthew 6:9, 10) If we wish for a better system then we need to seek for the kingdom of God by following Bible principles and be on the watch from false prophets. (Matthew 7:15) Please read your Bible daily.

This pope, and by extension the catholic church, preaches to Africans with AIDS that condoms should never be worn. Among many unethical things the church does, this is one of the worst. How dare this once Hitler-youth offer moral advice. One could find more morality in a Dutch brothel.
