Romney to deliver Liberty University commencement speech

By the CNN Political Unit

(CNN) – Mitt Romney will deliver the commencement address at the evangelical Christian university led by Jerry Falwell, Jr., Liberty University said in a Thursday post to their website.

The school, located in Lynchburg, Virginia, will host the likely GOP nominee for their May 12 graduation.

In the statement, Falwell said he is "delighted" that Romney will attend, and noted that President George H.W. Bush delivered the university's 1990 commencement address. Ten years earlier, the university was visited by then-presidential candidate Ronald Reagan, he said.

      You're a proven liar. Prayer doesn’t not.. You have NO proof it changes anything! A great example of prayer proven not to work is the Christians in jail because prayer didn't work and their children died. For example: Susan Grady, who relied on prayer to heal her son. Nine-year-old Aaron Grady died and Susan Grady was arrested.

      An article in the Journal of Pediatrics examined the deaths of 172 children from families who relied upon faith healing from 1975 to 1995. They concluded that four out of five ill children, who died under the care of faith healers or being left to prayer only, would most likely have survived if they had received medical care.

      The statistical studies from the nineteenth century and the three CCU studies on prayer are quite consistent with the fact that humanity is wasting a huge amount of time on a procedure that simply doesn’t work. Nonetheless, faith in prayer is so pervasive and deeply rooted, you can be sure believers will continue to devise future studies in a desperate effort to confirm their beliefs!.!.

      News reports "swarm" of earthquakes in Pacific Northwest (4/19).
      All predicted by Jesus in the Gospels as a sign of the end!

      b4bigbang – Jesus forecasted earthquakes in the Pacific in 2012? He didn't even know there was a Pacific Ocean. That prediction is just something the gospel writers wrote because of the earthquakes that happened in the middle of the first century.

      Hey, bfart, did God predict the earthquake we had in August? You know, the one that was centered in Mineral, VA? The one that toppled part of the National Cathedral and cracked the Washington Monument? Well, did He?

      Show us all where that prediction was made, moron.

      Earthquake Swarms:
      One example was the so-called "Mogul earthquake sequence" that began in February 2008 near Reno, Nevada and continued for several months, ending in November 2008.[2] Between February and April the swarm produced more than 1,000 quakes of small magnitude, although the largest measured 4.7.

      What the heck does that have to do with anything? Besides that, just because he said he was a Christian doesn't mean he was. Just about everything he did was incompatible with the teachings of Jesus.

      @just sayin'

      Hitler said he was a christian.. We MUST agree with someone when they say that they are a christian because there is no method by which to tell if a person is a true christian or is lying about being a true christian.. If there's no method by which christians themselves can determine whether or not a person was a christian, then we must rely on the word of the believer himself.. You don't have another choice.. Hitler WAS a christian because he claimed to be one.. You don't have a choice but to accept his statement unless you can disprove anybody who lies about being a christian..

      @just sayin'

      None of that evidence proves Hitler wasn't a christian.. You christians have no way to determine if someone is lying about being a christian or actually is a christian.. If you can't determine who is and who isn't–and the bible's method is believing and professing (nobody can truly know what you believe but we know what Hitler and others profess), then you MUST accept Hitler as a christian..

      You have no logical place to stand.. Accept your christian brother–Hitler.. After all, he may be up in heaven with you enjoying the smoke of those tormented in hell as it rises before god's throne.. Hitler's got nothing on biblegod's horrors.. I think Hitler would be impressed with god's ability to torture so many more people so much more effectively and for an eternity longer than Hitler was able to do.
