Columnist Dan Savage stands by comments on 'bulls**t in the Bible'By Dan Gilgoff, CNN.com Religion Editor (CNN) - Columnist and gay-rights advocate Dan Savage is standing by his comment that “we can learn to ignore the bulls**t in the Bible about gay people” at a recent conference for high school students, a line that prompted some to walk out and spurred intense online debate. In a blog post on Sunday, Savage wrote that his remark at a conference for the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association was "being spun as an attack on Christianity. Which is bullshhh… which is untrue.” “I was not attacking the faith in which I was raised," Savage wrote. "I was attacking the argument that gay people must be discriminated against — and anti-bullying programs that address anti-gay bullying should be blocked (or exceptions should be made for bullying 'motivated by faith') — because it says right there in the Bible that being gay is wrong.” Some Christian students walked out of the Seattle speech, prompting another controversial line from Savage: “It’s funny to someone who is on the receiving end of beatings that are justified by the Bible how pansya**ed people react when you push back.” CNN’s Belief Blog: The faith angles behind the biggest stories Savage apologized for that specific remark in Sunday’s blog post, writing that his word choice “was insulting, it was name-calling, and it was wrong.” One of the teachers attending the speech with his students told CNN’s Carol Costello on Monday that he was taken aback by the speech and that he supported the decision of some of his students to walk out of it. “It took a real dark, hostile turn, certainly, as I saw it,” said Rick Tuttle, a teacher at Sutter Union High School in Southern California. “It became very hostile toward Christianity, to the point that many students did walk out, including some of my students.” Follow the CNN Belief Blog on Twitter “They felt that they were attacked … a very pointed, direct attack on one particular group of students. It’s amazing that we go to an anti-bullying speech and one group of students is picked on in particular, with harsh, profane language.” Watch CNN Newsroom weekdays 9am to 3pm ET and weekends. LOL TR thinks he's a big shot!! hahahahahaha
He's almost as stupid as Mark.
You two look like kindergartners!! LOL
And here you are, pretending you're something better? Puhleeze.
@momoya
Nice adult, objective, rational discussions you have. You make the scientists proud with such stunning defenses. Thank you again, for making my points for me. I return you to your juvenile trolling.
I'll save further responses to the few true intellectuals in this forum.
A "discussion' is more than one comment.. Did you mean to lie or were you just too stupid to realize that your accusation was obviously false to any person who knows what a discussion is and can read the posts after my comment without a single one (till now) from me?
>>>"Did you mean to lie ..."
sigh ... Sp now TR is lying Momo? Everyone that disagrees with you and backs you into a corner must be lying? Do you think yourself unable to be proven wrong ma'am?
Is this going to be the last card you will always play Momo, calling people liars? When you do it to one person and then find yourself doing the same thing to another and then another....Do you realize that when you consider that everyone is lying then the issue is ultimately with you. Like I said.
You defeated yourself this night Momo.
Mark, did you simply look at the evidence in my accusation?? Because if you had, you'd see that TR was lying or mistaken.. That's why I asked the question if he meant to.. Really, when you can just glance 2.4 inches up your monitor and see for yourself that I'm telling the truth and someone else is lying–you accuse ME?!?!?! REALLY???
You dumbazz, you're so anxious to pounce on me because you can never beat me at logic that you jump into accusations before you simply take the 3 seconds to verify the solidness of my position.. It's this sort of behavior right here that shows everyone just how butt-fvck stupid you really are.
Hi Momo. The statement that he made was that you were a troll. This is something that a few days ago you in a rant admitted to yourself.
So now after you attempted to say that Dan's comments were not insulting and we show you in the article, Dan himself admitting that his words were “insulting”. With that evidence in your face you still reason that his words were not insulting. Now today you call someone a liar for labeling you as a troll a few days after you yourself labeled yourself as a troll.
Where does the proving you wrong again and again going to stop. I have already shown that your age and gender will not halt this beating. Others see that when you are proven wrong or openly challenged then everyone is lying to you.
You lost last night Momo and you have not learned your lesson yet.
Find another way, become a better Atheist than one who goes into name calling tantrums. Its called civility Momo and I am afraid it is your greatest stumbling block.
Hi Mark
How's it feel for me to smash every single 'argument' you try to make on theses blogs?!? LOLOLOLOL!!!
You are trying to weasel out of your stupid comment like you always do; you never look before you leap, so you're always leaping into briar patches.. Then I or someone else comes along and shows you how you're stuck in a briar patch and you keep saying that you aren't and you keep refusing the help that's graciously offered to you as you keep getting more and more stuck on the thorns you keep wriggling deeper into.. Denial is the only "tactic" you're good at because you have to do it in every argument.. That's why it feels so natural and why you slip into it each time: Habit.. You know I'm right and you know that you were stupid in not looking up an inch and a half to see that I was not involved in the "discussion" as TR claimed I was.. I just exposed you as a complete idiot, so now you're doing the only thing you know how to do.
Think about how it always goes, here, for you Mark and consider changing yourself for the better..

He wrote that he licked doorknobs and other objects in the campaign office, and handed Bauer a saliva-coated pen, hoping to pass the virus on to Bauer and his supporters
He set up a website to spread the definition for Santorum being tied to So-do-my In 2010, He also offered to remove his website if Rick Santorum would agree to donate 5 million to a gay rights group. Blackmail!!
And another. Don't mess with people of the gay agenda.
which agenda is that, nooks? equal protection under the law?
I've got a good idea lets just ban talks like this.
Another angry gay guy. WFC
Wow, another upset bigot!
Wow, two people above who love to stereotype, call names and lambast others for decisions/opinions they make. Two wrongs don't make a right.
willy....spend a lot of time thinking about gay guys, do you?
@Sam Stone....and yet, another uninformed comment made by someone who views others opinion's different from their own by making insults. Good job.
Prayer changes things .
I do not believe I am trying to insult anyone! Just trying to make people THINK !! As the "preacher" said! VAINITY,VAINITY ALL is VAINTY, and VEXATION of SPIRIT! And to continue "WITHOUT GOD"! I truely LOVE you ALL but NOT as much as CHRIST! Whom PAID for OUR SINS that you WOULD be SAVED from the JUDGEMENT to COME!! And it WILL COME!! With much LOVE in Christ!
How in the world do you propose to prove anything you say? Tell me how is there a god and what created it?
"Whom PAID for OUR SINS that you WOULD be SAVED from the JUDGEMENT to COME!! And it WILL COME!! With much LOVE in Christ!"
You do realize that only 33% of the people on this planet are Christians and even most of those aren't "true" Christians. That means that roughly 70% of the people on this planet will be going to hell for all eternity based on what is written about your god. That means over 4 billion people will be torture forever. That is NOT a loving god but a monster that doesn't deserve to be worshiped! Or didn't you bother doing the math, LOL!
Actually, those that reject Christ and refuse to believe what he said about himself have only themselves to blame. God doesn't send to hell, he separates those that love and believe in him from those that dont. That is actually love. If I didn't protect my family from those who rejected us, wished us harm and/or hated us, I wouldn't be loving to my family. Same concept with God. Dont create strawmen to convince yourself of what isn't true.
@Common Sense says:
"Actually, those that reject Christ and refuse to believe what he said about himself have only themselves to blame."
Blame for what? Please explain and I ask politely to use some common sense.
@yeah right
hmmm do you hang around with people that ignore you, defame you, persist in abusing your friends and family for what they believe, engage in bahavior that you abhor? Neither does God. That is Hell – being seperated from Him for eternity – don't hate him because you have no self control and are full of hatred. God doesn't send anyone to Hell – people such as yourself that have heard the truth and deny it send yourselves to Hell – your decision. Take responsibility for it rather than call God a monster because you want to live without consequences. that's illogical.
Christ claimed he was God. Christ was killed because he claimed he was God. Christ rose because he is God. He fulfilled dozens of prophecies from hundreds of years before. Hundreds of people saw his resurrected body. His body still cannot and will not be found. Oh, and there is evidence to back this up. Those who reject what he said about himself and what he came to accomplish have nobody to blame but themselves and their unbelief for an eternity separate from God. I don't write the mail, I just deliver it.
@Common Sense
Please, please, change your name to nonsense!
"don't hate him because you have no self control and are full of hatred."
LMAO – I am not full of hate that is a lie. Your god is still sending over 4 billion people to hell dude that is a monster and not a loving god, no matter how you are twisting it in your own brain....oh..but wait...your god doesn't exist and neither does hell. LOL!
@ VoiceofReason:
"Mockers are proud and haughty; they act with boundless arrogance." Proverbs 21:24
"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:18
"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14
You really think you're blazing new ground when you rail against Christianity and call us fools? You are part of a long line of those men who will be outlived by the word of God. God's word has stood for millenia and will never be brought down, especially by the proud and arrogant mockers. If Christianity can survive persecution during the Roman Empire, it can certainly survive this generation. Sorry, we're not going away.
@Common Sense
Yes, you will go away one day. You will die and that will be it, nothing more. Religion will be a myth of the past. As we evolve as a species this supernatural need will dissipate as knowledge will fill in the gaps. god is losing to reality and reason. It doesn't exist, it is not real and it will never be.
@VOR,
I'm going to take a chance and assume that Einstein was not only a better scientist than you but also a more rational person than you.
"As to what one could believe in, the answer was simple enough. I believe in the brotherhood of man and the uniqueness of the individual. But if you ask me to prove what I believe, I can't. You know them to be true but you could spend a whole lifetime without being able to prove them. The mind can proceed only so far upon what it knows and can prove. There comes a point where the mind takes a higher plane of knowledge, but can never prove how it got there. All great discoveries have involved such a leap."
You will stagnate your mind by only going on what you can prove. On that topic, I dare say that you have proven very little of what you assume as scientific fact. Where is YOUR proof of everything you have attested. What have YOU peer reviewed and tested instead of taking on faith what others have peer reviewed? The answer is probably every scientific concept you lend credence to except for that one high school science project you did.
So before you get on to other for their belief, how about getting honest with yourself and admitting that just about every idea you ascribe to is merely a matter of faith.
@TR
Calling the kettle black are you? Hmm, high school science project? Let's see. There's no god, prove it.
@TR
With all kidding aside; there is plenty of scientific proof to debunk religion's so called facts. There's carbon dating, evolution and more and more findings everyday. It's not faith, it is what is here and now and a really good snapshot of the past. The difference is that it might change and we can accept that and demand that. Whereas accepting something on blind faith for some irrational reason just doesn't cut it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KayBys8gaJY
@VOR
It wasn't rhetorical. "What have YOU peer reviewed and tested instead of taking on faith what others have peer reviewed?"
Do I need to write it more simplistically? You want to cite carbon dating. Great. A specific. What peer review have you done for carbon dating or have you taking it on faith. Please show us an online link of the studies you conducted so we can see the results and the experiments you conducted.
What? You didn't do any exhaustive carbon dating experiments? You simply believed carbon dating was scientific due to your faith in the testimony of others?
TR doesn't seem to get it that science works regardless of whether or not you believe in it, but faith only works if you already believe and then it doesn't matter what you already believed because you have faith it's correct–that's why it's equally effective for all "faiths." ha! get it!
If admitting and muttering "goddidit" helped science get better results form their experiments or that the got done in half the time, I could see the point, but really, what's it really mean that a big magic sky daddy used spells to make stuff?. Science invites criticism of both it's results and its methodology; religion and faith don't even have falsifiable hypotheses, much less "results" (HAHAHAH!) or "methodology" (hahahahahah).
TR, you are confusing believing something or somebody with taking something on faith. Faith means to accept something as truth without any rational reason to do so. Most of us have good reason to believe most scientists are being objective and seeking the truth.
@momoya
We got it. Just like all the other advocates of rational, evidence-based views, you've accepted it all on blind faith after a couple of high school science classes you probably got Cs in.
We see that you are stumped by the simple question, "What have YOU peer reviewed and tested instead of taking on faith what others have peer reviewed?" You are so intellectual that you cannot give an honest answer to a simple question. You refuse to admit that you have accepted it all on faith.
You want to praise the process that invites criticism of results and methodology but you're unable to cite a single instance, and more importantly, a life-long pursuit of how you personally have investigated, experimented, and challenged science. Y O U J U S T T A K E I T O N F A I T H!
@TR
I use faith but not in the ways you a.ssume.. Funny stuff, that.
@N8
Really? What historical trend provides you that faith? Is it the history of scientists being funded or controlled by governments, religions, or financial backers with agendas? Is it the times science has given into political or social pressures? Or is it when science has declared off-limits approaches to even looking at other possible answers?
By the way, faith PERFECTLY describes your trust in science.
Faith –
+ confidence or trust in a person or thing (your trust in science)
+ belief that is not based on proof (you have not proven the science you believe in and merely have accepted it without proof)
It's unfortunate that you all refuse to admit the simple truth of your faith. It stares at you in the face yet, because it's your weapon, you cannot admit to truth. Talk about being blind.
More definitions that again describes your faith –
+ strong or unshakeable belief in something, esp without proof or evidence
+ complete confidence or trust in a person, remedy, etc
+ any set of firmly held principles or beliefs
+ allegiance or loyalty, as to a person or cause
Bwah. You have to be kidding. Science requires faith? No, it doesn't.
If you think that science presents no evidence or proof for conclusions, you're daft.
But I am pretty sure everyone but the Piddler can see that.
@TR
If you were correct science would not invite criticism of its findings and methodology.. Science only works because it enforces such rigid codes upon itself.. Science always the prefers the question "how" to "why.". If we legitimately don't know the answer to a question, you admit it; you don't make something up.. Science holds to the ideal that a concept must be proved as best it can and meet any challenges head on.. It INVITES criticism; it abhors faith..
You seem to think that the only method of belief is faith, and you're just wrong.. Science does stuff; it's useful.. It's why you're able to use a computer–because science knows how to line up all those little electrons in the correct order and all that jazz..
You're just projecting because you know you don't have anything concrete for your god belief, so you're trying to make the claim that nontheists don't have anything concrete for their beliefs about the nature of reality.. It's pretty sad.
@momoya
You can't rationally and objectively answer simple questions...funny stuff that.
"What have YOU peer reviewed and tested instead of taking on faith what others have peer reviewed?"
Where are YOUR studies and experiments on electricity, gravity, dark matter, evolution, inertia, antibiotics, engineering, psychology, work with plasmas, physiology, aerodynamics, ...?
Hey, TR, what peer-reviewed studies have YOU done on the existence of a god? Did you meet up with Jesus yourself?
What special kind of stupid ARE you? Do you not realize that scientists continually test theories, repeat experiments, question conclusions?
Were you home-schooled, or did you go to some lousy "Christian" academy to achieve this level of ignorance?
Do an experiment with gravity, dear. Jump off a cliff.
@Tom
Yet you avoid, like the plague, the simple question on YOUR personal belief in science – "What have YOU peer reviewed and tested instead of taking on faith what others have peer reviewed?"
I know what (some) scientists do and their belief in science *because they are actually validating science themselves* as opposed to all the faithful lemmings who take it at face value because a high school teacher told them it's rational and objective. They didn't personally prove that it was rational and objective, they took it on faith, just like you.
I've peer reviewed everything.. I'm just that good.. What's your fvcking point, you moron?. Do you even have an argument or are you just throwing stones because you live in a glass house full of broken walls?
LOLOLOL!!!
TR is all like, "Oh, ya'll hadn't done each and ever one o' dem espirments for yours owns selveses, so you jus' usin' da faif, like I iz!!"
Clearly, this is not a mind accustomed to science or honesty.. I wonder if he's a tyrant to his family like god is in the bible?!? Ewww!! Nasty!!
@Tom
I see you decided to take a rational, objective approach vice an emotional one that relied on ad-hominem attacks (logical fallacy) to (not really) prove it's points.
Both of my degrees are of the "S" type, denoting at least enough science background to be considered science degrees; one baccalaureate-level and one masters-level.
That should mean I can be at least somewhat rational and objective, how about you try it now and answer the simple question, "What have YOU peer reviewed and tested instead of taking on faith what others have peer reviewed?"
Nincompoop, as I said, jump off a cliff if you want to disprove gravity exists. Go ahead.
Why are you asking such an absolutely idiotic question? I don't "take it on faith", doofus. I read research; I look at articles; I actually talk TO people who run experiments, ya dolt. I doubt you talk to anyone but your teddy bear.
You have an S-type degree from some third-rate Christian Bible College, you ninny. No one with a real degree in a hard science would be asking such an asinine question. And no one with a decent degree would screw up the use of apostrophes as you have. It's a sure sign of an inferior education, or a lack of any whatsoever. Grow up. You're not fooling anyone.
TR, answer my question: Have you run experiments that prove there's a god? Where are your studies? Cite them.
I doubt you even have a clue as to what a "peer-reviewed study" entails.
Why would you imagine that every person would need to run his own experiments to see that gravity exists?
@momoya
Funny that after an attempt at rational debate, you still refuse to answer the simple question and have to go Alinsky. "Let me pretend you're stupid and make fun of you" instead of answering a simple question to show there's a rational basis for your belief in science.
You're transparent momoya but the good thing is by not answering that simple question and admitting the simple fact that you take science on faith, your antics show you to be the irrational, emotional troll that you are. And you do so in way that takes zero effort for me to prove or show. You did it for me.
What's even better, is the mass silence from your peers. It proves that they too are neither objective nor rational as they purposely avoid correcting their own.
I've managed to get degrees in science but I'm also smart enough to know I've barely scratched the surface of evidence to be examined and that if I want to trust in most science, i will have to take the rest of it on faith.
More of the same, piled higher and deeper. You're as big a liar as Mark. No scientist would pretend that science depends on faith.
You're a fraud.
I don't "take it on faith" that what science shows through experiment and study is 'true'. I can look at supporting studies, I can view the evidence, I can see the data.
What can you show to back up your claims, TR?
@TR
Are you just very stupidly trying to fo.rce the point over the past few hours that people's beliefs are a pro.du.ct of their culture?? Because duh, and you could have just said that to begin with.. If a person was raised in a culture without an acknowledgem.ent of science, he won't believe in science unless something changes that belief–that goes for me, or you, or anyone.. If a person was raised in a culture without an acknowledgm.ent of god, he won't believe in god unless something changes that belief.. But people are likely to believe as they were trained to believe by their culture's "brainwa.shing.". We wouldn't va.lue science as we do unless our culture recognized the value of science to make and do pra.ctical "stuff.". In a different culture we would va.lue what that culture suggested we va.lue.. Again, duh.
What's your an.gle, here?? What's with the att.itude and the unwillingness to ex.tend your argument past the limits put on it by your angry demands for what you didn't immediately get?? You seem like a h.o.rr.ible person.
Funny that this one issue won't let you make whatever point it is you're trying to make, dumbazz.. There is rational basis for belief in science.. When we do the experiments in the books they work like they say it will work.. The people who do science get sh!t done like building medicines and mapping dna which turns into actual, real, provable stuff.. There is a fantastically good reason for believing science, because you can criticize it and find out if it's wrong and get tons of fame and money if you were right and they were wrong..
I mean, what's your point, azzhole?? Do you have one or are you just waving your d!ck around like a big shot fvckwad?
@TR: I am sorry, but I do not think you understand how peer review works as it relates to scientific theory. The purpose of peer review is not to confirm, but to disprove the data provided in the theory. If the testing produces repeatable results with the same variables and constants, the theory is published as confirmed.
If you have a scientific background as you claim, your argument can only be based in one of two positions. First option, you do not understand the process outlined above because your degree is not in a scientific dicipline. This is called an argument from ignorance. Second option, you do understand the peer review process used to verify scientific theory but deny it's validity because it does not support your world view. This is called an argument from dishonesty.
Please provide any verifiable evidence that your god exists. We will then subject it to the same scrutiny that any scientific theory has had to endure.
TR really knows how to troll, doesn't he?
Scientific theory does not require my belief because I can do the math and physics myself. I have no need to insert an unknown, unverifiable variable (god) because I am educated.
It's funny how each and everyone of you has to completely ignore the simple fact that YOU (there's a reason the word keeps appearing in caps) have taken science on faith.
Let's do a simple dissection of Eric G's description of scientific peer review.
"The purpose of peer review is not to confirm, but to disprove the data provided in the theory. If the testing produces repeatable results with the same variables and constants, the theory is published as confirmed."
For YOU to accept a theory, YOU must disprove the data provided by in the theory. If YOUR testing produces the repeatable results with the same variables and constants, YOU can confirm the theory as it was presented.
If SOMEONE ELSE accepts a theory because they were unable to disprove the data provided in the theory based on THEIR testing which produced repeatable results with the same variables and constants then THEY can confirm for THEMSELVES the theory as it was presented.
The short of it is, you are taking their word on it (faith) when the theory is published as confirmed because you rely solely on trust in them. YOU did zero testing. YOU proved/disproved nothing. YOU took someone else's word on it. That is faith pure, simple, and objective.
Simply LOOKING at someone else's work proves nothing. The only way to not take science on faith, is to do it yourself otherwise your are accepting a theory on something other than proof. You are accepting it because someone has a certain set of credentials and you trust them but that is still not proof and that is still not science. It's faith.
@Eric G
Really? Show me your math on dark matter? How about some biology examples? How about some aerodynamic examples? How about some chemistry examples? What about the softer sciences? Got some mathematical psychiatry examples? I'd really love to see some math on the effects of the sun on global warming, er, climate change? What do you have math-wise on the effects of the atmosphere on the electromagnetic spectrum and how it relates to radio communication at different bandwidths?
Who the h.e.ll even knows what his point was to be?!
HOW MANY ant species have YOU PERSONALLY identified or do you just take it on FAITH that there's lots of different ants.. Do YOU just TAKE it ON faith or have YOU been stung by EACH and EVERY ant species aRoUnD? Hmm??
Dude, do you really think people are going to answer a list of asinine questions that they don't see connecting to any further idea you might be trying to make?? Seriously, it's like you're just yelling and beating your chest.. Let me guess, no matter how many questions any of us answered, you'd keep saying the same stupid sh!t that we all know ain't true and you'd never get around to making an actual point?? Is that about right, sergeant dipsh!t?
@Eric G
As a matter of clarification, since your implication is relying on ignorant assumptions about me, I don't rely on God when I do something that can be explained by science. When radiowaves can be bounced around the earth instead of being directly within line of sight of the transmitter and receiver, i know it's because of the behaviors of specific wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum and their interaction with the atmosphere.
Do I believe God created all those things involved? Sure, but that doesn't mean physics can't explain a portion of His creation. See, unlike most modern scientists, scientists of the Renaissance era understood the pursuit of knowledge and truth. They understood that God and science are not necessarily mutually exclusive. I try my best to emulate those scientists in my understanding of the world.
Atheists would like to pretend God and science are mutually exclusive but they rely on faith and not evidence for their proclamation. Just as a christian cannot scientifically disprove the FSM or Cthulhu, atheists cannot scientifically disprove the God of the Bible.
@momoya
You can stop trolling now. If you're honestly not trolling, I suggest you take some reading comprehension courses.

Really?!? Have YOU done all the peer reviewing on all those studies or are you just accepting that there's these little magic "radio waves" (yeah right) because some scientist told you that's what they are?
.
.

.
Science doesn't deal with "truth.". Science deals with 'understanding.". Whatever discoveries we make in science, we can never be sure it's true, because we still lack so much information that, if we had it, might make our current understandings invalid and "fairy tales.". So we can't know "truth" from science unless science discovers every single fact that exists.. Science DESCRIBES what the physical world does when we poke it.. It doesn't explain the meaning behind existence or explain some purpose or anything like that.
.
.
Trolling Rabid:
>>Atheists would like to pretend God and science are mutually exclusive but they rely on faith and not evidence for their proclamation. Just as a christian cannot scientifically disprove the FSM or Cthulhu, atheists cannot scientifically disprove the God of the Bible.
.
I don't know a single atheist who thinks that "god and science are mutually exclusive.". I do know a few atheists who say that the god of the bible and science are mutually exclusive, but that a.ssumes too much.. The god of the bible could certainly be real, and simply tricking us by revealing science as something that does not currently agree with the bible.. The god of the bible could be real, but favor another generation much more than us, and when his favored generation arrives he can make the science line up with the bible and actually seem like a plausible explanation for the universe and those people's purpose.
The real question is why should anyone a.ssume a god exists?? Since culture is the best determiner of god belief, people a.ssume the god of their culture and think other culture's god's are ridiculous just as they find their own culture's god believable and other people's ridiculous.. Since god does not provide verifiable evidence for us (such as with math and chemistry), he would be stupid to expect us to believe he exists.. It's more likely he doesn't exist than that he allows such confusion across the globe on his nature and will–even among people who claim to have a personal relationship and the ability to read with "the holy spirit" disagree on all matter of things.. Biblegod's just too untidy, don't you think?
And my advice for you, TR: Go enroll in your neighborhood's fourth grade science class.. Maybe half way through you'll realize how stupidly you've acted here tonight.
Why am I never surprised by the arrogance and pride of christians? You guys don't even realize you're worshiping your own ego, do you?? It's why god always agrees with you whether you act like a jerk or a nice guy.. I'm guessing I hit the nail on the head, earlier, didn't I?? You're a tyrant to your family, aren't you?? Had some grown children disown you, maybe?.

Momoya’s leading by example to not be angry, arrogant, a tyrant, a horrible person, etc.
“I could see the point, but really, what's it really mean that a big magic sky daddy used spells to make stuff?”
“I've peer reviewed everything.. I'm just that good.. What's your fvcking point, you moron?”
"Oh, ya'll hadn't done each and ever one o' dem espirments for yours owns selveses, so you jus' usin' da faif, like I iz!!"
“I wonder if he's a tyrant to his family like god is in the bible?!? Ewww!! Nasty!!”
“Are you just very stupidly trying to fo.rce the point over the past few hours that people's beliefs are a pro.du.ct of their culture??”
“You seem like a h.o.rr.ible person.”
“Funny that this one issue won't let you make whatever point it is you're trying to make, dumbazz.”
“I mean, what's your point, azzhole?? Do you have one or are you just waving your d!ck around like a big shot fvckwad?”
“TR really knows how to troll, doesn't he?”
“ Is that about right, sergeant dipsh!t?”
======
Perhaps you should consider your own advice. You’re doing your cause more harm than any of your perceived opponents ever could.

Uh-oh, I guess I was right about you being disowned by somebody you were a tyrant to?.
You're a d!ck, and I'm honest, so I'm going to treat you like you deserve.. Deal with it.

>>>"What's even better, is the mass silence from your peers. "
True, the mass silence. Just proves that there are Rev Terry Jones on the Atheist side, which is probably the greatest thing that the Belief Blog has shown. That each side has their negative sides.
Mark, there's no need to state the obvious and what every single person just a.ssumes anyway all the time.. You might as well say, "Air is good for breathin'" as say, "Any large group of people will contain all possible "personality types.". duh. Dirt is brown, too.

"Atheists would like to pretend God and science are mutually exclusive but they rely on faith and not evidence for their proclamation."
If a law of physics is found to be flawed or incorrect it is altered until it is.
Religion doesn't have that ability to change when it's proven to be incorrect.
Think of science as clay and religion as a stone.
He is telling the truth. In fact much of the Bible is bullshit. Good for him!
I agree–we should stand together and support an adult who belittles and insults teenagers in front of other teenagers with no real chance to rebut the argument–sound strategy to say the least. Or, we can stand together, regardless of our religious beliefs, and simply admonish anyone adult (at the very least) who would belittle and insult teenagers in front of other teenagers with no real chance to rebut the argument.
Yes, good for him. He has proven his own ignorance and hipocrisy. Lets see him grow a pair and pick on some muslim students for their beliefs.
bro: feeling a bit put upon?
1. "belittles and insults teenagers"
Where was the insult?. He said that we ignore bullsh!t in the bible when it tells you to k.i.ll your children for a little backtalk.. He said christians were right to ignore that bullsh!t and the bullsh!t like k.i.lling someone for working on the sabbath.. He applauded christians for ignoring such stupid bullsh!t in the bible as its pro-slavery stance and suggested that they feel the same way about similar verses over on the next page.. Where were the insults?. He was congratulating christians for making wise choices when it comes to bullsh!t in the bible.
He was wrong to describe their behavior as "pansyazzed," but it wasn't bullying, attacking, or insulting when he described BEHAVIOR.. He didn't say, "They are..." he said the equivalent of "their actions are..."
Seeing as this is the true state of affairs, it seems the rest of your post was pure bullsh!t like the portion I just exposed..
>>>”He was wrong to describe their behavior as "pansya'zzed," but it wasn't bullying, attacking, or insulting when he described BEHAVIOR..”
From the Article:
“Sa'va'ge apologized for that specific remark in Sunday’s blog post, writing that his word choice “was insulting, it was name-calling, and it was wrong.”
Wake up ma'am. You are defending a man's comments that he has already said was “insulting”.
I gotta admit, in some ways admire your dedication but once he admited that the statement “pansya'ed“ was insulting, you are now disagreeing with the speaker himself.
Telling the truth, that much of the Bible is bullshit, does not in any way belittle or insult teens.
VanHagar, if you are referring to the blog post, he has apologized for that.
Yes, Mark, you liar.. I've already dealt with that previously.. You're claiming it was "bullying.". I'm saying that it wasn't by any stretch of the imagination.. Nor was it name-calling, technically, though it can be seen that way and I agree with his apology..
You're claiming that his actions were tantamount to child abuse, and I'm saying you're full fo sh!t and you know it.
"“Sa'va'ge apologized for that specific remark in Sunday’s blog post, writing that his word choice “was insulting, it was name-calling, and it was wrong.”"
And with that Momo, you have lost your battle tonight. I am sorry that you had to take this beating.
Mark, I can always tell when I've stripped away all your bullsh!t arguments because you start claiming to have won the debate as if you were ever engaged with it in the first place.. You've only thought you were arguing, Mark, but you've only been playing tiddliewinks around the edges.. Keep observing, though.. One day you might be able to give honest discussion a shot.. Might be a while though–maybe a few years.
Oh, brother. The Piddler brags about beating others. Funny that he can't seem to produce any evidence to back up such a claim. Never does. Can't. He couldn't beat a drum.
If you look at VanHagar's original comment it is pretty clear he was referring to the statements made "in front of other teenagers," not Savage's blog post. In his speech he was simply stating what he (along with many other people) believes to be true, that much of the Bible is bullshit.
There is nothing wrong with that and he has no need to apologize for his speech.
Voice of reason?? So the question is WHY is what you believe different from any other arguement? EVERYONE THINKS THEY ARE RIGHT? It has always been that way! No matter how well founded they think THEIR ARGUEMENT is! Say as example did Clarance Darrow really think the "JAWBONE" of a PIG was JAWBONE of the PILTDOWNMAN?? Or was he LIEING and DECIEVEING??
It is evident by what you say that it would be very difficult, at the very least, to hold a conversation or debate with you. You are obsessed, over zealous and delusional. You wouldn't listen to reason or someone else's opinion. If you have anything compelling to offer in terms of validity for what you believe please do but it is nearly impossible to read what you write.
Voice. What is it that you do not understand in his statement?
If a two people make a statement or more on topic give a opinion... It does not mean that one of them is "lying". In some cases it does not mean that both are necessarily wrong. When we devolve into saying that someone who holds an opposing view is always "lying" then all dialogue is destroyed or hindered.
Same could be said that every Atheist is also not the spawns of satan. Just folks that hold different opinions. That's all.
@Mark From Middle River
Where is it I said anything about lying? Once again, a moron that sees what they want to see.
Hi Voice. My apologies, all cool but the message does stand that overall the rhetoric on subjects has gotten out of hand.
@Mark From Middle River
Apology accepted.
@VoiceOfReason
"Where is it I said anything about lying? Once again, a moron that sees what they want to see."
Sounds like the voice of irrational, unadulterated emotion. For further evidence, review your other hormonal, teenage responses above.
Oooh, "the rhetoric on subjects has gotten out of hand."
If it has, you're the one of the culprits. Who made you the thread-nanny?
May the Lord have mercy on all of us! Love the sinner, Hate the sin! Judge not- Love your brother no matter who they be!
Like the priest who just had s.e.x. with your kid?
Love the deluded; hate the delusion
What a wonderful disclaimer. I am quite sure that those lovingly labelled sinners will appreciate the distinction.
Mike, if your god is loving as is so often claimed, then why should anyone need to ask him for "mercy"? Why not just say "oops" and be done with it, if anything?
And as for that loving god of yours, note that the bible is also very clear that you should sacrifice and burn an animal today because the smell makes your sicko Christian sky fairy happy. No, you don't get to use the parts for food. You burn them, a complete waste of the poor animal.
Yes, the bible really says that, everyone. Yes, it's in Leviticus, look it up. Yes, Jesus purportedly said that the OT commands still apply. No exceptions. But even if you think the OT was god's mistaken first go around, you have to ask why a perfect, loving enti-ty would ever put such horrid instructions in there. If you think rationally at all, that is.
And then, if you disagree with my interpretation, ask yourself how it is that your "god" couldn't come up with a better way to communicate than a book that is so readily subject to so many interpretations, and has so many mistakes in it. Pretty pathetic god that you've made for yourself.
So get out your sacrificial knife or your nasty sky creature will torture you eternally. Or just take a closer look at your foolish supersti-tions, understand that they are just silly, and toss them into the dustbin with all the rest of the gods that man has created.
Ask the questions. Break the chains. Join the movement. Be free of Christianity and other superstitions.
http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/
Hate the sin and love the sinner is not in scripture Mike. How can you hate the sin and love the sinner, when the sinner is the one doing the sin?? If a person murders someone, then should we then say the same? Hate the murder, but love the murderer? Or rapist? Or pedophile?? No. Sorry, its an illogical phrase that no one should say or at the very least, associate with Christianity.
Please people, just because you put hypens and periods in the middle of words doesn't make you more compelling.
It is a tactic to get pass the filter, nothing more.
It's how you beat the f-u-c-k-i-n-g filter, not to be compelling.
I wonder how many people gave up trying to comment when their use of the name "Sav.age" in their posts was rejected by the stupid filter?
... by the time I ran all the words pages of comments had passed.
For a better understanding of the subject article we invite you to read the article ‘CNN Belief Blog ~ Sign of the Times’ listed on our website http://www.aworlddeceived.ca and the fifth item listed on the Current Events page.
All of the other pages and articles listed on our website explain the deep hidden mysteries of God and what mankind must do to be reunited with the only true and living God. It further explains how and by whom this whole world has been deceived as confirmed in Revelation 12:9.
The Word of God is God (John1:1), it is truth and there is no lie in it (Hebrews 6:18). It is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
Seek, and ye shall find (Matthew 7:7).

WASP
The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor. 2:14). This includes the Book of Revelation.
For this reason our message remains the same: Ye must repent and turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan (whose spirit you are of) unto God (Acts 26:18). Without the baptism of Repentance you will remain spiritually blind (Mark 1:4).
They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick (Matthew 9:13). Please study what that means.

Back again AvdBerg? That site that you keep posting is a site of hate and division that should be shut down for hate speech.
"Please study what that means."
LOL! This is coming from a poster that is a proven LiAR why don't you study the Ten Commandments since you can't even get that part right. If you stop posting your trash website it might help make your posts a little bit more legitimate. What a moron.

It is based on the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive (John 14:17).

"It is based on the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive (John 14:17)."
Hey look the troll is back who wouldn't doesn't have a clue about the real truth. I've read the crap you posted on your site and ..... it correct it's full of lies. You lost all credibility with your rant about because it's not based on real facts. Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean it's the truth!
"(John 14:17)."
Everyone knows the story about Jesus and the woman about to be stoned by the mob. This account is only found in John 7:53-8:12. The mob asked Jesus whether they should stone the woman (the punishment required by the Old Testament) or show her mercy. Jesus doesn’t fall for this trap. Jesus allegedly states, let the one who is without sin among you be the first to cast a stone at her. The crowd dissipates out of shame. That story was not originally in the Gospel of John or in any of the Gospels. It was added by later scribes. The story is not found in the oldest and best manuscripts of the Gospel of John. Nor does its writing style comport with the rest of John. Most serious textual critics state that this story should not be considered part of the Bible.
@berg:i'm going to be nice to nice because i'm in a good mood. start at page one in the old testament and read all the way through to revelations. that is how you read a book, picking and choosing which parts of a book you want to read is misleading and a lie.
..........
The first commandment: Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.
You have Satan as your father (John 8:43-45).
http://WWW.AWORLDDECEIVED.CA
@berg: "It is based on the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive (John 14:17)."
so pretty much this is saying that regardless of how much someone believes they can't get the truth; well that is a convenient way of saying "i can't prove anything you just have to trust me." lmfao
"The first commandment: Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.
You have Satan as your father"
Using the scriptures to make your own judgment, you are clueless about the bible.
YeahRight
Our message remains the same: Ye must repent and turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan (whose spirit you are of) unto God (Acts 26:18), without which you will remain spiritually blind.
" without which you will remain spiritually blind."
Nope that too is opinion and NOT fact, love your judgment keep proving us right in that you can't even follow your own rule book. What a hypocrite.
@Hawaii
I just love progressives and their proclivities for censorship.
"Back again AvdBerg? That site that you keep posting is a site of hate and division that should be shut down for hate speech."
@TR
Nice assumption. I'm actually an independent not a progressive. I've been to the site, and seen the hate toward others of differing opinions on it. And a complete lack of compassion for those who are in extremely tough situations.
HG, I'll bet TR didn't even look at the site. Funny, I guess he just "takes it on faith" that if someone else calls it hate speech, they're liberal. Guess he didn't run any "peer-reviewed studies" on it.
@Tom
Are you so truly ignorant that you don't understanding that advocating the ban of material you disagree with is plain and simple censorship.
You're right, I haven't visited the site. He may be a freak. I may completely agree with him. I have no clue. It's funny that those like you are admonishing children for not staying around to hear things they take offense at then turn around and think censoring an adult's opinion that is not presented to a captured audience is somehow something other than censorship.
It's funny that people like you cannot logically evaluate an issue but merely rely on the "who" is for the basis of your support or antagonism.
@Hawaii
While I will mostly consider myself a conservative, I do have some libertarian beliefs and even a few liberal beliefs. On those issues that I lean libertarian or liberal, I am libertarian or liberal.
When you push a progressive view, you are being a progressive. That was no assumption.
What's great is that you're so progressive on this religious issue you're actually blind to it.
Censorship, I remember the good old days when it was overzealous christians who were looking to censor things and even to this day they are considered backwards for having tried to stifle access to ANY kind of information. Remember what the progressives said then and heed their advice, "You can always change the channel or not watch it."
If that doesn't work, are you admitting that we need someone else to determine what we do and do not have access to? If so, that is by all means progressive and you really need to reexamine how you classify yourself.
Go read the site, you witless idiot. Do some due diligence and peer review, you fraud.
TomTom. If you can not argue without name calling then your point of view really falls into question.
If you can't post anything relevant, Piddler, you're irrelevant.
I guess I'm not clear on what Dan is saying. Were his remarks some kind of satire meant to illustrate Christians who bully gays – physically, menacingly, in their face, bully them? Or did he mean to convey that merely having the opinion (based on Christian faith) that being gay is wrong? If the latter is true, then Dan is guilty of the very bullying he preaches against (pun intended). Which is what the student who walked out was illustrating by walking out.
People with limited faculties place their hands over their ears when they hear something that they don't agree with. These kids new to grow-up and get over it just like everyone else here that finds it "appalling" that Dan said what he wanted to say.
The video is on YouTube. He seems to be arguing against using the Bible to rationalize bullying. He does not seem to be trying to suppress the expression of opinion. Many Christians here have been calling him a bully for conveying his own opinion. They are fools for thinking that is the same as bullying.
Many people's honest opinion is that much of the Bible is bullshit. There is nothing wrong with expressing this, in fact it is a message that needs to be heard.
If you are arbitrarily offended by words like shit, then you need to grow fuck up.
@n8
It seems pretty obvious to me, too, but try telling that to one of these whiners and it's like you just suggested they poke their eyes out or something equally bizarre.
N8 ... these were kids who walked out on his tirade, which he himself said was wrong...he choose to single those kids out by calling them pansy.
Adults maybe should grow up but bullying children is pretty low.
Oh, please, you whiner, this was a conference for students who want to be JOURNALISTS; this wasn't at a McDonald's playground, quit misrepresenting/lying.
Momo... it was at a High School. I know it was a while back for you and even for me but these were children. Such insults maybe in college but not for ones who can't even order a beer or smoke a cigarette.
Dude, you know you're being a dipsh!t.. Those teens were not "children.". They were advanced students looking at embarking on an advanced career that has its very foundation in offensive words and deeds.. What do you think journalism is?? And you also know these kids have heard "worse" in the back of Civics class on their cell phones.. You're just being a drama queen..
What did he do? Oh, nooees, he congratulated them on not following the slavery, stoning children who backtalk, shellfish restriction bullsh!t in the bible.. He was congratulating them for not following such stupid bullsh!t and suggested that they extend that just a little further down the page and to the left.. Oh no! How horrible.. He congratulating them for having a brain when it comes to stupid sh!t in the bible..
>>>”Dude, you know you're being a dipsh!t..”
As Wasp said earlier: “ @donald: that is the best you can do is get on a blog and insult someone? real smooth. lmao”
>>>”Those teens were not "children.".”
Wow, so now teenagers are not children.... Your argument is falling apart 🙂
>>> “ And you also know these kids have heard "worse" in the back of Civics class on their cell phones..”
No, I was not in their civics class. Sooo... now you know what goes on at the back of civics classes at this school? Interesting Momo.
Since you know what goes on at the back of these student's classes … can you give us verifiable names of each child that walked out. I won't make it hard for you and ask for all of the students in the class.
Please ma'am, especially since you do not believe teens are children.
@VOR
I suspect that if you had kids attending a journalism conference and they were subject to some religious tirade about them being POSs, you'd say everything but that your kids needed to get over it. This is the hypocrisy of the left. We see it time and again and it's clear as day. When it's a progressive who is being ugly and offensive the article reads that the victims feel put out somehow. When it's a conservative being ugly and offensive the article reads that he was victimizing people. It's the same hypocrisy.
The media is bent over backwards trying to pigeonhole George Zimmerman as a "white" hispanic yet has not once in 3 years of Obama called him a white African-American. Yet progressives pretend to be enlightened, rational, evidence-based, scientific, unemotional, and consistent. If it weren't so fantastically tragic, it'd be the world's best comedy.
And this is the same thing that happened last time you ran into my unassailable logic.. You just start being a smarmy di.ck.. I remember that guy.. He's a lying fvckwad who weasels with smiley faces and semantics.. What a worthless turd (commenting here, I mean–in life you might be nice and not an azzhat like here)
Momo- Earlier Wasp told Donald this:
"@donald: that is the best you can do is get on a blog and insult someone? real smooth. lmao"
@n8263 The kids who walked out were not pansies. They were exercising their choice. The choice not to be exposed to something they found offensive. We all exercise that same choice when we find content on the TV or the internet, and change the channel or surf to another site where we find content that is more palatable to us. I would suggest that indeed, in this case, they were exercising the very right to choose that Dan demonstrates in his excoriation of the principles espoused in the Bible.
Going forward n8263, if you would like to debate me on this issue, please make an effort to construct intelligent sentences that make an objective point, and proofread them before clicking 'Post'. Thank you.
Mark ..bullying children is low I agree, but its what religion does ..Catholics invoke hell and demons for consumption, and throws in purgatory for added measure. that is mental abuse. I have never heard why the dislike of gays is so ingrained in religion.. it is taught to the kids so that they carry it forward and they feel justified as adults..after all god approves right? Other than what you have been told, what is wrong with gay folks anyway..do you really know?
Mark, his speech was not a tirade and he did not apologize for it, and he should not. He stated that people should not use bullshit in the Bible to justify bullying.
He is right.
Some students then rudely walked out on him in middle of his presentation. These students should offer an apology.
Momoya??? Are you speaking for YOURSELF? For REASON? Or for SATAN? Or as JUST ANOTHER ANIMAL with a NOSE and an OPINION??
I speak for myself. That's more I can say about you.
Take your pick., then see to some medical treatment
Reason?That would be just another nose with an opinion!! And EVERYONE has one! So why is yours superior? What RIGHT has one animal to tell another what is right or wrong? NONE! ZILCH! That is to "BE FAIR"!
@donald: that is the best you can do is get on a blog and insult someone? real smooth. lmao
Wasp- He isn't doing anything different than Momoya. Is she also "real smooth"? 🙂
Now that's a lie, isn't it?. I may be 100% wrong all the time on every issue, but I use impeccable reasoning and near-flawless argumentation.. You're just a liar, as you've proved about four dozen times in the last two weeks alone.
>>>"impeccable reasoning and near-flawless argumentation.."
You have got to be out of your mind ma'am.
Momo, those times that you felt I was lying was when you were shown so many flaws in your logic that name calling was the last card that you had to play.
...Just like right now ma'am. 🙂
Your posts are proof I've beaten you at every turn.. You can't argue reasonably, with the facts, so you turn into a smarmy dovchebag.. You always do it; today just took you longer than usual.
>>>"@donald: that is the best you can do is get on a blog and insult someone? real smooth. lmao"
Momo, you could not beat me with your reasoning and flawed logic so do you really think insults will have any chance against me 🙂
First your logic was that because it was not sustained insults it did not count.
Now, you saw that was flawed so you claim that because they were advanced children that they could take such bullying.
In conclusion you say that Dan's words were not insults , even after Dan admits they were insults.
Momo... I fear that you do not have much to stand on. I am going to go and watch a movie tonight.
I will give you another shot at my belt tomorrow or later tonight. 🙂
Mark, everyone here knows that you have no clue what you're doing.. You're the same each time, Mark.. You just get it too slowly to do you any good.. You're just barely smart enough to understand if somebody like me is patient enough and kind enough to take the time to expose all your absolutely bat-sh1t stupid argument and get you down to brass tacks of the deal.. Then you realize how foolish you've made yourself look so you revert to your thumb-sucking behavior of smiley faces and evasive ridiculous claims to have "won" and other asinine garbage.. It's hilarious that you're so stupid.
You're 'going to watch a movie'? You said you were leaving at 8:11, Piddles, yet you're still here, tooting away on your own horn.
It's probably his most common lie here.. "I won and beat everybody completely I'm outta here to go jagoff and pickmynose"
14 seconds later on another thread:
"Hi, I'm "Mark my piddle river" I claim to "bring everybody in the middle" but I really just say the most stupid, wrong, aggravating bullsh!t I can think up within the 84 seconds I flap my fingers across my keyboard and call it a post. How ya'll doin?"
Never said I could beat everyone Momo.
But you in a debate ... I "own" you. 🙂
Mark, I hope you keep thinking that sort of stupid sh!t because I prefer your mind that fvcked up and very far from anything that resembles reality.. You're much cuter that way.
It's obvious when you say stupid sh!t like "I never said I could beat everyone.". Ummmm,.. no... nobody said that... it's not even an issue... w.t.f?!?
>>>"You're much cuter that way."
Hmm... Well, I think you are cute to ma'am but, I am holding out for Jeanine.
Voice of reason??? That is it?? Your REASON has RUN-OUT? By what or WHO or HOW are you judgeing things?? Tell me do you speak from YOUR OWN AUTHORITY?? And WHAT might that BE???
Oh, feck off and go try and grow some brain cells, fundiot.
I would think U.S. law is a good start...
I have my own mind and I think for myself. My experiences in this life have brought me reason within reality. Reality is my authority. You on the other hand cannot think for yourself. It is apparent by what you say you believe. It is irrational, unrealistic, unreasonable and delusional. It has no place in this reality and it is dangerous to say the least. You are a raving maniac that is lost in some supernatural conundrum.
I know this is still taboo, but does anyone that believes in GOD realize how small minded and simple it sounds? The universe is massive, and not just kinda massive, massive in the sense that almost everyone cannot comprehend it, massive. BILLIONS of suns, stars, and planets much larger than ours, trillions of light years away from us. Gods and religions have come and gone here on our tiny planet. What makes you think a religion invented 2000 years ago and accepted by less than 1/3 of the planet's population is accurate at all. The world would be a better place if everyone spent more time asking questions and less time giving answers that are based on ZERO factual evidence.
You sound like you know stuff......
In fact there are mountains of compelling evidence; Just to name a few:
1) Look around you! every breath you take, every sunrise, the universe holding together, etc.
A swiss watch coming together by accident would have better statistical odds.
2) Fulfillment of Judeo-Christian prophecies with uncanny accuracy against all statistical odds!
3) An innate built in sense of right and wrong!
Thing is, you gotta look for it, it aint gonna fall in your lap. Seek and you shall find! Ring a bell?
Unfortunately many are not interested in "Seeking" from fear of what they'll find, and that they'll have to change!
We are without excuse!
Voice of reason: The problem is NO ONE is GOOD! EXCEPT GOD! Thus since man is SINFULL we FOLLOW the ONE TRUE GOD! No-one HUMAN BEING can EVER LOVE like GOD LOVES! In FACT GOD is LOVE .(Not LOVE as a man or women loves!) Why would GOD LOVE US?? I do not know WHY! But I BELIEVE HIM! And BECAUSE EVERY MAN IS A LIAR! ONLY GOD is TRUE! I LOVE YOU! BUT not as much as GOD DOES!
I mean no disrespect but you should consider seeking counseling. It is quite apparent that you are delusional. You live in a very disturbed world in your mind. See a doctor.
You are all idiots. Being gay is (obviously) abnormal. And the bible is full of bullshot if u read it as some supernatural god floating around.. However, it's NOT god the bible is talking about...it's aliens. Those stories are about aliens. they made us in their likeness and it's carved in stone at the fertile crescent by the first civilization that was on this planet. The first written words ever on this earth say that.
Be gay have fun do whatever the hell u want. Because when they return, you're all going to back to work.
It seems your tin foil hat is on a little tight today.
Dan's shirt is fabulous.
“It’s funny to someone who is on the receiving end of beatings that are justified by the Bible how pansya**ed people react when you push back.”
That is Bullying. Plain and Simple. Just because someone bullied you and they happened to be a christian doesnt give you the right to pontificate on their belief system and berate innocent christians at an assembly with deragatory remarks. Did these people egg you on? Did a christian student in the 3rd row quote leviticus to you before you took the stage? NO? Completely unwarranted, unprofessional and uncalled for outburst.
Second, would all of you stop using ABSOLUTES in your posts? There are 7 BILLION unique individuals on the planet stop grouping everyone up with your prejudice, discriminatory, zealous fabrications about how ALL CHRISTIANS THIS, and ALL ATHEISTS THAT. Get a clue.
Let's think about what Sa.v.age actually said:
1. Christians don't follow the bible verses that promote sla.very or k.i.lling your children if they disobey etc
2. Because christians don't follow the bible on those verses, perhaps they should not follow the g.a.y bashing ones a few lines down.
3. He described their BEHAVIOR and later apologized for that remark.
What was so wrong with those three things?..
Hi Momoya, did you not read the quote at the beginning of my comment? Thats bullying. Period. You can apologize afterward all you want (most bullys do when confronted by authority) Obviously you havent been a victim of bullying before. Calling someone a pansy.a$$ because they dont want someone spitting unprovoked vitriol at them is not okay. Those students have the right to walk out of the assembly if they feel they are being unfairly criticized for the speakers past confrontations with christians that left him bitter and angry at every single christian on the planet. Again the behavior of the people who bullied him does not give him the right to speak that way to innocent students attending an assembly.
Furthermore Momoya, prefacing arguments with "ALL CHRISTIANS" is not only prejudiced, false and completely stupid, it shows just how far out of touch the speaker is with reality. To be honest anyone who uses absolutes like that in an argument shouldnt be doing any assemblies on anything anywhere.
Yes, I read your post.. No, what he did is not bullying.. I have been the victim of bullying; most recently, I was fired, threatened, and had to move to a different town because of my former christian "friends" who couldn't deal with my loss of faith..
There was no "vitriol," you're just being a whiny be-atch about it cause it made you feel uncomfortable..
Oh the generalization thing, you're right; I apologize.. Certainly some christians might be k.i.lling their children when they disobey or k.i.lling people in their neighborhood who happen to work on the sabbath.. Thanks for correcting me on that point.
A small suggestion. Momoya is either an idiot or a troll so trying to have a rational, adult conversation is impossible and ignoring the idiot/troll is probably the best approach.
False dichotomy; I could be both.
