Video of North Carolina pastor's plan to 'get rid of' gays goes viralBy Dan Gilgoff, CNN.com Religion Editor (CNN) - Video of a North Carolina pastor preaching that gays and lesbians should be rounded up inside an electric fence is going viral on the Internet, two weeks after North Carolina passed a constitutional ban on same-sex marriage and President Barack Obama voiced personal support for legalizing such marriages. "I figured a way out, a way to get rid of all the lesbians and queers, but I couldn't get it past the Congress," Pastor Charles L. Worley can be seen telling his Providence Road Baptist Church congregation in the video, which had more than 250,000 YouTube views by Tuesday. "Build a great big, large fence - 50 or a 100 miles long - and put all the lesbians in there,” Worley went on to say in his May 13 sermon at his Maiden, North Carolina, church. “Fly over and drop some food. Do the same thing with the queers and the homosexuals, and have that fence electrified so they can't get out. Feed them. And you know in a few years, they'll die out. You know why? They can't reproduce." My Take: The Bible condemns a lot, but here's why we focus on homosexuality The video had initially been posted on Providence Road’s website but was recently taken down, according to CNN affiliate WBTV-TV in Charlotte. The phone line at Worley’s church was busy on Monday night and on Tuesday, as was Worley’s home number on Tuesday. The church’s website was down Tuesday morning, but it had described the house of worship as fundamentalist, meaning it represents a Baptist tradition that's more conservative than the Southern Baptists. My Take: The Christian case for gay marriage Worley’s sermon was posted on YouTube by a group called Catawba Valley Citizens Against Hate, which is organizing a protest at the Providence Road Baptist Church on Sunday. Addressing his congregation last Sunday, Worley referred to his earlier controversial sermon. "I talked a little bit, I believe it was last Sunday, on the homosexual lifestyle, and there was a whole lot of people who didn't like what I said," Worley told his congregation Sunday, according to WBTV. "I want to read it out of the Bible, and then we'll go from there." Worley’s initial sermon was partly framed as a response to Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage, which he made in a TV interview a day after North Carolina voters passed a state constitutional amendment banning legal recognition of such marriages and other types of gay unions. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, or GLAAD, was working Tuesday to gather criticism of Worley’s comments from other North Carolina pastors. “I am angry and sick at heart over Pastor Worley's comments,” said the Rev. Hillbilly fundamentalists invented much of what we have to endure as Christianity today. They are no different than the Islamist in Afghanistan, ignorant uneducated Zealots. They did not ever read anything except the King James Bible, they knew no history of the book they were reading from and were basically ignorant of history. Never the less, there are millions of people following ignorant false teachers calling themselves Christians.
This pastor is a prime example of an ignorant uneducated hillbilly trying to interpret "Gods" word when he isn't qualified. I am sure just like others before him he will continue to spread his message of hate and intolerance.

Unfortunately your use of the phrase "doesn't really know Christ", while somewhat enlightened, in a way, is but another iteration of "only my truth is THE truth". There are 33,000 sects of Christianity. So the only way to objectively look at the "truth" is to, a priori, set up the standards which one will use to identify the truth. You never have.
Your examination of the etymology of the word "sin" is laudatory, yet your entire system, (the "salvation paradigm"), is built on a fallacious interpretation of an Ancient Near Eastern Choas Myth, (the "fall"), and the need for a "christ"/savior in the first place. The fact is, the "salvation" paradigm was never spoken of in first gospel, (Mark), and in fact developed historically when Saul of Tarsus first introduced it into the developing cult, because of the influence on him of the Greek mystery cults, (which is where he got it), and then was grafted onto the cult, and into the other gospels which were written AFTER he had first fought with the James community in Jerusalem. The concept of an "immortal soul", (which required "saving"), was unknown in the Old Testament.
You are “preaching to the choir" as some might say. Paul (Saul of Tarsus) is not on my reading list and the worst book in the King James bible, Revelations, was written by John of Patmos, a man that would have probably killed Christians had they revealed themselves to him. I spent about 25 years studying theology in order to heal myself from being raised by Fundamentalist Christians.
It never was my intention to insinuate that "My Truth" was the way. My personal belief is "Christ" centered but there is no church, that I know of, that would accept me as a "Christian"

Pastor Worley will soon be meeting with my friends the Taliban for further discussions on how to get rid of gays.
What's interesting is that Pastor Worley believes that once all the gay genes die off, than there will be no more gay people. So he is both promoting evolution and the fact that people are born gay. He doesn't realize how progressive he is.

It's sad when people like this use God's house to preach hate. Jesus didn't preach hate. I'm a gay Christian. I know that may be hard to believe in this day and age, but no one is going to tell me that God doesn't love me. I agree though that hating on all Christians is not the answer. It's just sad that people like this get this much attention. You know he's loving the attention he's getting.

Why are gay people being forced to pay taxes to the U.S.? Why should they? They aren't respected as human beings, have no rights, and, apparently, according to Christian psychotics whom WE ALLOW TO VOTE should be exterminated. What do gays do to anyone that warrants such vitrolic hatred? You know what? I think all Southern Christians should be put into a fenced in area too...with all their guns, and bibles, and bigotry. Except we don't give them any food. Let them reproduce all they want...until there's a food shortage and they all go to war with each other over the last remaining turnip (or whatever they eat down there). Yes indeed! The problem is that people who behave the way Christ did – taking care of the less fortunate, living their life as an example of God's love – do not, by definition, stand up and say "look at me, I'm a Christian – see how superior I am!"

Accepting Jesus Christ (for me) resulted in something like seeng a new colour. You will see it .....but will not be able to clearly explain it to anyone else..... Its meant to be that way to transend any selfism within you.
Also... much the world arranges "surrounding dark matter into something to be debated" in such a way that protects/inflates the ego.
The key is be present and transcend our own desire to physically see evidence. We don't know anyways by defending our own perception of dark matter.
Currently.... most of us are constructing our own path that suits our sin lifestyle. Were all sinners. Knowing that we are is often an issue. But both christians and non are sinners.
We don't like to Let go and let god. We want control to some degree. This is what Jesus asks us to do. "Let go and let god".

Try reading corinthians and see if it makes sense to you. Try it without a pre conceived notion of it being a fairy tale.
