Philly priest gets 3 to 6 years in abuse caseBy Sarah Hoye, CNN Philadelphia (CNN) - The highest-ranking Catholic Church cleric charged and convicted in the landmark Philadelphia child sexual abuse trial was sentenced to three to six years in prison Tuesday. Monsignor William Lynn, 61, was found guilty in June of one count of child endangerment, the first time a U.S. church leader has been convicted of such a charge. He was given just under the maximum sentence he faced, which was three-and-a-half to seven years in prison for his conviction on the third-degree felony. FULL STORY

When I was a kid I really did believe in God, and anyone who talked about him in a good way..... But not anymore. I started learning about the Residential Schools, you know what I mean. I'm talking about the 50,000,00 Native children that those Preists and Nuns killed. Who's ever reading this check out Kevin Annetts work. It's under hinden from history. It's sick. These people don't believe in God. What I mean is " They don't follow Jesus Christ teachings, They're following someone elses " They're being protected by their partners. Check out that sight you'll understand what I'm talking about.
Soa child abuser gets 3_6, but probibly not in the general population? Must be nice to be a priest. They should get the max sentence, after all they are trusted by there flock. We must expose the lies of christianity at every possible turn.
Prayer changes things
Prayer does not; you are such a LIAR. You have NO proof it changes anything! A great example of prayer proven not to work is the Christians in jail because prayer didn't work and their children died. For example: Susan Grady, who relied on prayer to heal her son. Nine-year-old Aaron Grady died and Susan Grady was arrested.
An article in the Journal of Pediatrics examined the deaths of 172 children from families who relied upon faith healing from 1975 to 1995. They concluded that four out of five ill children, who died under the care of faith healers or being left to prayer only, would most likely have survived if they had received medical care.
The statistical studies from the nineteenth century and the three CCU studies on prayer are quite consistent with the fact that humanity is wasting a huge amount of time on a procedure that simply doesn’t work. Nonetheless, faith in prayer is so pervasive and deeply rooted, you can be sure believers will continue to devise future studies in a desperate effort to confirm their beliefs!|

hawaiiguest: HARD CORE ATHEIST!! OR are you just playing? While I respect your view, you loose it, for me, in the way you present those views. IF you cannot speak without all the swearing then you must have a LIMITED vocabulary. Make your point YES, but do it respectfully. And YES, I swear, but have learned you can make a point without it! That said: For me, this comes down to FAITH! the BIBLE is the book that the vast majority have FAITH in and beleive in. HOWEVER, lets not forget that the bible was written by humans! DID Jesus turn water into wine? Part the sea? OR, are these stories exagerrartions, embelishments, made by those that wrote them? WHY is it that we even argue over these matters? Those that BELEIVE, have FAITH, that they are accurate, will tell you, in detail, how THEY can prove it. Those that do not can argue why it is not! It winds up, again, about FAITH! NO ONE has the saviors EAR that can PROVE or DISPROVE! It is FAITH that makes you beleive or not! NOW, as to the main point of this article: This priest FAILED in what he beleives in!
Folr me, he has FAILED with his God and savior! The catholic church has continually denied, avoided, covered up these cases, so again, for me, they have FAILED, not only in what they preach, but have FAILED with God!k Are they the only ones? Maybe, but I doubt it. EVERYONE, that commits a crime, especially against children, MUST be punished. Just because you are a "holy" person does not mean you are OK. Crimes, abuse, are done by humans, and the last time I looked ALL members of ANY religion are human! Once again, it comes down to BELEIFS and FAITH There is not ONE person on this planet that can say they are "IN PERSONAL CONTACT, OR GOD SPEAKS THROUGH ME" that I would beleive or have faith in!! IF GOD or my savior wants to say something, HE will appear and tell ALL of us!
