Evangelist Billy Graham hospitalized

By the CNN Wire Staff

Updated Monday 5:30 a.m.

(CNN) - Evangelist Billy Graham was admitted to a hospital overnight for treatment of a pulmonary infection believed to be bronchitis, a North Carolina hospital and his evangelistic association said.

"Upon admission, he was alert and in good spirits," said the statement, which was released both by Mission Hospital in Asheville and the The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

The 93-year-old also was hospitalized for pneumonia last November, six months after similarly being admitted to a hospital for the same condition. Since then, he has remained "in good overall health ... though he continues to remain at home due to age-related conditions," according to the hospital and the association.

It's unreal to me the disrespect and intolerance some people exhibit in the name of equality and tolerance.

Shouldn't you be knocking on people's doors and handing out creepy flyers? Deal with the fact that you are a brainwashed moron.

Casper, I'm not a big fan of creepy flyers or door to door proselytizing either.

I just know that folks don't get very far in intelligent dialogue using terms like "brainwashed" and "moron". I wonder how we would treat one another face-to-face over coffee. Or face-to-face with Mr. Graham for that matter. Be careful.

  5. Christ is Great

People who don't share my beliefs are sent to hell when they die to be tortured for eternity. This doesn't bother me.

Then it would seem you are following the wrong Christ. Be careful, He may just say He never knew you.

    • Hmm...

You live to be 93 and have bronchitis? How about just when you're that old you're prone to more infections and such.

NoTheist says "Free speech, dude" in defense of hateful comments toward Graham, yet many who share NoTheist's views are quick to condemn the free speech of religious public speakers like Graham. Textbook irony.

Pray for Billy while he preys on the ignorance of faithful. How many jets and gold-plated tubs does he own? Makes Romney look like an amateur avoiding taxes.

Religious people: When you pray are you actually communicating with god through telepathy? Does he reply?
