Ask Our Saviour to help you and He will. Just pray to Him.

Most of the atheists posting here are former xtians and ministers, so that just proves your post is a lie.

The lying troll (prophet, aka just saying, aka truth be told, aka many other names including ones stolen from others) must be bored today considering the blitz of bull it is spreading around. Does it really think that spreading so much manure is really doing any good?

there is an athiest on here that makes comments that show us why he is an athiest. As a hypocrite, he can criticise others but criticises others for making their comments. This is why Our Saviour Came to Save us from this type of behaviour.

this person needs to be more understanding of others but then they are not and thats why they are athiests because they can't be. They just show who they are by their comments. i was taught never to argue with fools.

    Prayer changes things.

Prayer does not; you are such a LIAR. You have NO proof it changes anything! A great example of prayer proven not to work is the Christians in jail because prayer didn't work and their children died. For example: Susan Grady, who relied on prayer to heal her son. Nine-year-old Aaron Grady died and Susan Grady was arrested.

An article in the Journal of Pediatrics examined the deaths of 172 children from families who relied upon faith healing from 1975 to 1995. They concluded that four out of five ill children, who died under the care of faith healers or being left to prayer only, would most likely have survived if they had received medical care.

The statistical studies from the nineteenth century and the three CCU studies on prayer are quite consistent with the fact that humanity is wasting a huge amount of time on a procedure that simply doesn’t work. Nonetheless, faith in prayer is so pervasive and deeply rooted, you can be sure believers will continue to devise future studies in a desperate effort to confirm their beliefs!

    • Really?

"Atheism is not healthy for children and other living things"

This is inaccurate wouldn't you agree? Especially when the data shows that atheists tend to have happier and healthier marriages than conservative Christians.

the strange think is that many clergy and christians don't even believe in God they only do what they do for for the comfortable lifestyle and power over people. They permeate society by deceiving people. But most atheists they deceive themselves.

there are many scientists who also make some of the best believers in God. This is why because God goes beyond reason without contradicting it.

Except that 85 % of the National Academy of Science is atheistic. Logic, of course has nothing to do with anything. Einstein, Heisenberg and Dirac proved that the nature of reality is, in many cases, illogical, and non-intuitive, thus the ONLY thing that can be relied upon is EVIDENCE. If it were left to "logic" Quantum Mechanics, Relativity etc etc would never have been discovered, or accepted.
Where do popes go ? To their graves, stone cold dead, just like every other living thing that has ever existed. There is no evidence for anything else. This pope may wish to stay on Vatican territory however, as the International Criminal Court may arrest him some day for covering up the crimes of the pedophiles in his "*holy* mother".

So Austy, your ancient pi$$ed-off deity REQUIRED someone, (his son..and of course any scholar knows god had many sons in Hebrew culture), to DIE before the stupid jerk could feel good about humanity ? That's a real nice god ya got there.

Actually your god DOES contradict reason. In order to say anything about a god existing, or reating, or doing anything, one assumes a PROCESS, and all processes require time. A god cannot be the creator of a dimension required for it's own existence, and even William Craig recognizes this, and has spent his career trying to weasle out of it. It's called Special Pleading, and in fact DOES contradict Logic, so actually Big "P", you're absolutely wrong. Your god DOES conflict with Logic.

the athiests really are beginning to turn to God as they realise what is right for them and others and the nice thing is that they make the best believers. They are sorry for not finding God sooner.

      @prophet

I know it shouldn't, but it never ceases to amaze me how blatantly ignorant you have to be to be a believer.

I realize that for most it is simply a matter of ability, or more precisely, the lack thereof. Most believers are simply not capable of forming a coherent, rational thought. Let alone follow it to its inevitable conclusion. But the few that are capable must deliberately ignore it.

Once it is evident that there are no facts in support of any god, and that they are no more likely to exist than a host of other mythical creatures, one must deliberately ignore this to remain faithful. I often wonder if the cognitive dissonance is painful.

So, here is my question for you. Does it hurt to reconcile the absence of evidence for your imaginary friend with your belief in it, or are you simply incapable of rational thought?

Isn't lying proscribed by your god, "prophet"? Or do you just think you're so special that your god wants you to spew falsehoods in his name?

the governments are going to be tougher on people, why, because they have to maintain some type of order as people are not able to do this themselves. This is why we have governments but its up to people which type of government they want, the world's governments or Gods Way, simple really.

DA 14 was a sign. The world is in turmoil and most of you had better turn to God and His Son Our Saviour as there really is no viable choice.

many a bad person has realised this and turned to God, as most were people who could not have a normal life and so they did bad things but when they found God they are able to understand many things and then put their lives right.

Believing a myth is a viable choice only to those who are too lazy to seek real, working solutions.

many will no doubt comment on this about governments, but think about it, what Our Saviour did was not revolution it was an attempt to reform and this is an important difference.

See the meaning of reform, its to reeducate and to this peacefully. This is why so many christians have no idea about Our Saviour as they are trying religious revolutions.

    February 21, 2013 at 10:30 am |
  17. prophet

i do also have to say to people who are fed up with governments, don't look for revolutions, they don't succeed. Let the governments do what they do if people were not against them they would not be against the people. However, they have their problems. The police and armed forces etc are important, we would have a lot of problems without them.

So whats the solution as governments will not solve your problems, but at the same time we need them.

The solution is to turn to God and this is why athiests will always have problems because they rely on governments that cannot really solve their problems. Even an atheiest can see this as its logical, but we may have to explain it to them many times.

    • Doc Vestibule

      @prophet
The solution is not to turn to God, but rather to take responsibility for yourself.
Concepts such as ‘state’ and ‘society’ and ‘government’ have no existence save as physically exemplified in the acts of self-responsible individuals.
It is impossible to shift, share, or distribute blame . . . as blame, guilt, responsibility etc. are matters taking place inside human beings singly and nowhere else.

the catholics are now having problems no matter who they have as a so called pope. Its over for them, the catholic religion is imploding but it will become a more authoritarian religion as it used to be, why because when something is not suceeding then its a survival thing. Watch the catholics make a fool of themselves. This resignation has destroyed them.

    February 21, 2013 at 10:16 am |
  19. prophet

i do have to say that Joseph Ratzinger made the right decision, why because it has embarrassed the catholics and made a fool of them which is what they are. He had no choice as i know he had enough of the deception.

It was a brialliant tactical move and it was his decision and took a lot of courage.

The Son Of God Our Saviour Said very clearly, the righteous will be persecuted and by those who think that they are serving God. The catholics and christians and doing just this. They are antisemitic.
